In her work Lara stumbled across an ancient library in the depths of an English castle. Lara had been reading through the books after moving them back to her mansion, and, of what had been read so far, one story in particular stood out to her: A legend of a Witch who imprisoned three evil souls in a mountain; their punishment was not intended to be eternal, but they were stuck there as silent watchers until someone solved (and survived) the puzzles of the three prisons. Then they could move on to whatever afterlife lay in wait, and the one who allowed them to move on would be given a priceless artifact. The story ended with a rough location of their place of imprisonment and a note that only those who knew of the place could find it. Lara headed to the given location and, as she approached the mountain, the walls of some sort of fortress began to form at the bottom of it, and, eventually, a door. She smiled. |
