Reviewer's comments
"Here's a nice looking yet pretty short tut1 level. It's pretty linear up to the point where you come face to face with a locked door. "I must have missed a switch somewhere", you'd think, only to eventually read up and discover that what you're looking for is actually an unmarked climbable wall to go around said door... 10 minutes, 3 secrets. 09/20" - Treeble (27-Sep-2020)
"This isn't bad as far as it goes, but it only lasted around ten minutes, so it's hard to fit too much exciting gameplay within that short duration, and the most excitement you'll find here is an few boulder traps and a bit of ninja combat. It's also a little dark in places, but it's not too badly constructed at all. Probably not one you'll replay time and again though." - Ryan (22-Nov-2017)
"Another short level with no much interest. Poor enemies, only white ninjas and red scorpions (and a mummy I think), only the crossbow as extra gun, some traps to avoid, the unmarked climbable wall... The secrets are easy to find, the texturization isn't bad, and lights are worked, but many rooms are too dark. No much more to say about this level; only one more Egyptian level as many other ones." - Jose (25-Oct-2016)
"A fairly standard and straightforward Egyptian level that manages to get enough things right in every category, to make it worth a playthrough at the very least, with the only real negatives being an unmarked ladder towards the end and the fact that it concludes a little too soon for my liking. But if you're aware of the aforementioned predicaments beforehand however, then this shouldn't be a problem in the slightest. Recommended towards anyone looking for a decent Egyptian release to play." - Ceamonks890 (29-Jun-2015)
"This level is a well built Tutorial level which does not look however at all like the Tutorial level. And exactly this is what I like at this level. One can see nice textures which are applied cleanly, must fight against some Baddies and is after about 10 minutes at the level end. The lighting feels well and one can see a few well built rooms. All together one can say that the level builder has made almost everything right. The only negative point is that the level is a little bit short." - Scottie (22-Feb-2010)
"A well made tutorial level with a good atmosphere. Deadly water should not be blue in my opinion. The progression is obvious, the 2 secrets are too easy to find and you hit the finish trigger after 10 minutes of straightforward raiding. A pleasant level." - eRIC (01-Apr-2005)
"I love the Egyptian settings. This level is very short. I finished it without problems after 15 minutes. Opponents are mummies scorpions and sword warriors. They use the sword to avert the bullets. Weapons are pistols and shotgun. Some rolling balls switches which open doors movable statue and a short dive this is what you find in the level. Switches are always next to the door which is opened by them. I found two secrets. To finish the level Lara must find the two parts of the Eye of Horus and combine them. The level ends when Lara is sliding down a ramp." - Avmaster (23-May-2004)
"The second level from this builder is also based on a Tut1 wad but at least this time we actually are in Egypt so the textures and objects sit much more happily with the surroundings. It's still a short simple level - ninja's to shoot objects just lying around to be found boulders that even an arthritic granny could dodge - but it's a definite improvement on the first level and would be a good one for the inexperienced raider." - Jay (06-May-2004)
"When I finished playing this level I felt there was a real similarity to a level I had just played Mystery of the City so took a look and found out that indeed it was the same author. In this one the only difference seems to be the setting inside a pyramid but the rest is pretty much the same shoot some ninjas find the two pieces of the Eye of Horus collect easy secrets this time 3 and end very quickly after 10 minutes. I do think though that this one is a notch above the other but it was a little too dark and some will hate that." - Sash (24-Jan-2004)
"Funny enough I had to play this twice as I completely forgot what it was all about. Egyptian level of course and with that also the enemies you expect that goes with it. To be precise a TUT level. Finding the Eye of Horus and a Hand that is all. Very fast paced I have to say. 08-12-2003" - Gerty (23-Dec-2003)
"Better than Otre's other level this is classic tutorial WAD entertainment for about 10 minutes of net game time. A bunch of ninjas a scorpion and a mummy cross your path there is even one fairly solid flyby a simple boulder trap and I found two secrets the eye pieces and a hand. It again has a number of very dark corners and one climbable wall not textured as such which I hate. Still a builder with potential and let's hope we'll see more of her/him." - Michael (15-Dec-2003)
"Strange as it may seem but even Custom Level Builders/Reviewers/Night Shift Workers have a social life (of sorts) because I am pleased to announce that I have been invited to a Social Gathering; and this level was a very useful little trifle to play immediately before setting forth in the early evening to the Venue. I hope it doesn't reflect the evening to come (i.e. short reasonably enjoyable but probably not worth spending time over) although I enjoyed the boulder traps. It's solid stuff and I hope this builder can progress to greater things. And now...Bon Apetite!" - Orbit Dream (10-Dec-2003)
"The level is rather dark with the usual Egyptian setting and two puzzle items a hand and the Eye of Horus. Ninjas a scorpion and a mummy are the enemies you will find plus three easy secrets. A little swimming climbing is involved and you reach the end after ten minutes. It resembles the tutorial level no doubt with a few alternations of course especially the last room with the deadly water and pole. The textures were nicely applied and the spike ball was a surprise. Nice try much better than the first level." - Kristina (09-Dec-2003)
"Again short level in Egypt with original Textures of tut1 the gameplay and the puzzles was easy - a simple level." - Yoav (09-Dec-2003)
