Reviewer's comments
"I... don't actually know what to make of this level. I think it might have started as a joke level, what with the title and plotline, but eventually turned into something else and so what we get it's in between. Visually it's not too bad but for the most part it felt rather empty and some areas were too large for no reason other than just because. Perhaps they were designed with the bike in mind, I don't know. There was an eight lever puzzle that I'm not sure was a puzzle in reality, maybe the clue that would hold it together is the missing object that got replaced with Lara's hips (plenty of those along the way, as the author states in the readme even), but as it stands I'm just happy Harry's wakthrough prevented me from the frustration of trial and error. Secrets aren't triggered as such and none of the textures are animated. 35 minutes. 10/21" - Treeble (10-Oct-2021)
"I believe this level seems rather underrated by its overall scores and current rating, for I actually really enjoyed myself here. Fair enough, the storyline didn't quite come together, the course can get quite complex at times and there are issues with the end of the world, but none of those issues detracted very much from my experience of this level. The overall motorbike course was ingenious l, the surroundings are pleasing and there are hints of humour in there with the butts scattered around (that's assuming they weren't a building mistake). Give it a try." - Ryan (25-Aug-2017)
"I saw nothing during the course of this adventure that even hinted of the purported "story line." Laura did not wince in pain each time she stooped to pick up an object, there was no particular sense of urgency as the gameplay unfolded, and before long I completely forgot about any need to search for a rest room. The reviews did evoke a painful memory, however. The last time I peed in the ocean it hurt, and there was blood in my urine the next time I used a normal facility, so the option suggested by many is not one I'll try again any time soon. Now that I've gotten all that out of my system, so to speak, it's time to talk about the level itself. I'm rather amazed that the scores are not considerably higher than they are, because I found this to be a rewarding raid with ample lighting and colorful outdoor scenery. At least in the first part, which took me the better part of an hour to complete. The second part is little more than an afterthought, built around a couple of puzzles, and the builder might have been better advised to leave it out entirely. (I went ahead and pushed all the floor levers and activated all the jump switches, not realizing there was a clue down in the water, and there was no penalty assessed for having done this.) The first level would have been a worthy entry in the recent Greece BtB competition, and I can recommend it heartily. There are no enemies I can recall (other than a pack of dogs that self destruct against the motorbike near the very end), but you do need to find and use the combined revolver and laser sight to shoot a blue ball so you can get the booster for your motorbike. Play it for a jolly good time." - Phil (10-Oct-2016)
"This level starts in a cave with lara standing on her bed i believe. How she got there in the first place is beyond me lol. This level offers some really creative and original ideas for example the motorcycle course, timed run in the "DEAD" room which was hilarious and the save game signs showing the way. It starts slow with a lot of running around but then picks up pace and is thoroughly enjoyable. There are some beginner mistakes like the disappearing textures, you can reach the end of the world, invisible walls and the lara butts. I laughed a lot at the lara butts when seeing them and didn't really see them as a mistake as it really doesn't spoil anything when it comes to gameplay. I did feel that something was missing for me to give it a higher rating and that was the lack of enemies as the place felt pretty empty. I do recommend this one though to all who wants to play something different from the usual tomb raiding experience." - totizedger (15-Sep-2014)
"I tried to like this,I really did! The physical course you need to follow is interesting but a little too convoluted for its own good. The scenery is full of detail but a little too over-ambitious.The humour inside the Gameplay doesn't really come off (the final area tries to be funny but I found it too contrived). For a first level it's extremely notable and full of imagination but there were simply too many frustrating moments (particularly save-game bugs)for me to be able to enjoy it fully;perhaps you'll do better." - Orbit Dream (17-Jul-2008)
"In a weird kind of way it warmed my heart to read that I wasn't the only one who would've just... erm... taken care of business right there in the lake, and not bothered crossing the aforementioned lake/ocean, a small city, a sewer complex and a pitch black weird field to find the elusive toilet. But Lara's uptight and all that, so you'll have to bear with her till you get there! But it's not like it's exactly torture to play through this neat adventure what I can best describe as a mix between a jungle and TR3 Gold's "It's a madhouse" city areas with the greatest asset of the level being its humour. There's just something extremely charming about a level that doesn't take itself too seriously and this is one of those [levels] that shows you how it's done. So the main focus is actually running or driving around with the odd switch or rope swing in between but even those are fairly interestingly done and the style will be recognized by others who played Loch's other levels before this one, like I did. The only real problem I ever had was figuring out that I have to return to the cave where Lara apparently slept through her hangover before the level began, but otherwise there are 'save' icons and signs spread throughout the game to give you a general sense where you should be going. Overall - a fun double feature lasting about half an hour and mainly focusing on the motorbike, so something to play if you like levels with extensive use of vehicles or generally something out of the ordinary - give it a try!" - eTux (10-Aug-2007)
"So the mighty Lara is human after all, lol. We can all identify with her dilemma. As the readme says "Lara's busting for the loo. Get her to the toilet before it's too late!" Got the idea? I downloaded this level in the wake of playing Loch's great entry in the BtoB06 competition, to see what else this author created. I know this is Loch's first level (and it shows in a lot of ways), but things are looking good already, and it's obvious Loch has a great sense of humour. In one room Lara must run to a switch, from a 'window ledge' over trapdoors, and come back again before the trapdoors fall. If she fails she falls a long way down and crashes onto the word DEAD. It appears Lara has been on the booze last night, or should I say rocks, because for some unknown reason she has hired a cave beside a beach for her holiday. I loved the attempts at creating a finished environment, like the seaweed floating in the water near the beach, the rock formations, and the little house behind the bushes. There were a couple of Lara's butts. I laughed at this because it's the first level I've played where they could be classed as acceptable! She finds a bike just above the beach to help her get up to the town. In fact, you could almost say that the level is built around the bike and how to get it from A to B, and into the second level. I particularly loved clearing a long route that takes the bike up and over buildings and then into the sewers. At the end we see a strange situation of a large beach area and a double gate standing all alone on the sand. The player has to open this and drive through. It brought to mind the scene in the film Blazing Saddles, where the bad guys are riding across open country to attack a town. The town's sheriff has an idea to 'slow them down', by erecting a coin operated barrier, and the idiots send back for coins, when in fact there is miles in either direction to ride around. The only real threat, enemy-wise, is a pack of dogs in this last area, but as Lara is on the bike this is no big deal. In fact, all she has to do is sit there and let them all jump on the bike and die. All this gives this delightfully funny level an almost dream-like ending. A lighthearted little level, and a pleasant relief, I mean diversion, from the usual." - CC (22-Mar-2006)
"Wow! This is a first attempt? I would give my right arm for my first level to have been this good. :-D After a night on the beer and bolly, Lara is, understandably, in need of toiletry relief. As with everything to do with Lara, nothing is easy so, off she sets on a quest for the ceramic. Having played Loch's second adventure, 'Dreaming For A Revelation', first, this one probably felt a little rougher round the edges than if I had played them in order of release but, nonetheless, I loved it. The whole concept of locating a loo fitted with my sense of humour perfectly and, even in an earlier game, that spark of originality is evident. Keep up (and even improve) this level of quality and we may see some great things from Loch. Well done." - Staticon (09-Feb-2006)
"A rather fun debut level that starts a bit slow as you have to run around quite a lot before things really get going, but once they do it is fast paced and very enjoyable with some rather cleverly thought out moves and one of the most creative bike rides built into the landscape. Reminded me of Jeyem's Stunt in the Underground. It also has some original elements, like the Savegame icons and the 'Dead room' (LOL). You explore a Jungle, a small City and then the Sewers. There are still the occasional beginner mistakes (disappearing horizon, end of the world, invisible walls, a floating butt), but they do not interfere much with gameplay. A few enemies might not have been a bad idea to spice things up. Found only one of the four compass secrets, but I did finally make it to the - err - end... ;)" - Michael (30-Jul-2005)
Don't know about Lara but if I have to go, I go, especially if there is water outside and a sandy beach a bit further, but if Lara had to do a number two well a toilet was in order. But then I didn't have the chance to see what this was all about. This is a level full of humor, at least I had some good laughs but if it did make sense, not really. Have a go anyway and admire the scenery and do pay attentions to the huge saved game signs, they do help. 16-06-2005 - Gerty (20-Jun-2005)
"How damn delightful. I loved this double level with its fabulously original storyline, Miss Croft hanging out in a cave after a night on the booze, haven't we all been there waking up in a rocky grotto with a couple of empty Chardy bottles lying around and your skirt half way up your...;oh, um, anyway Lara now needs to go tinkle but as you guessed it, there ain't a toilet for miles, but when ya gotta go, ya gotta go, so on the hike to this toilet she goes. Along the way there is a gorgeous little town she has to go all over, and I mean all over, there's also sewers and forests and lakes to traverse until finally in what seems an alternate universe where you cross through a large set of gates standing all alone on a beach you end in a dark grassy room where the toilet is found. The settings here were wonderful, the game, mainly opening up the routes for a bike to get you all the way to the end, could be probably for some a little in need of some more puzzling but for me felt totally right for this level, and the overall atmosphere just made for one ripping good time. The only thing is that apart from the last seconds of the game there are no enemies so this means I will have to rate down in that area bringing my overall score down but have no doubt I enjoyed this immensely. I finished in a little under an hour with 3 of the 4 compass secrets found." - Sash (26-May-2005)
"Being the first level of the author this isn't bad at all. The history is a shit, geometry is not good, textures and lights are bad, enemies and objects are poor too, where are the sounds? But I like levels with few switches like this, there are some interesting puzzles and gameplay is good. Cheer up! You are on the right way." - Jose (01-Apr-2005)
"It's a mission dear to my heart certainly - find the loo in a hurry. Although why she couldn't just have gone in the ocean like anybody else would have I don't know. The setting is lovely, with a charming town to explore to find the revolver and laser sight and I did so enjoy running around (and driving the motorbike) on the rooftops. After a brief trip round the sewers comes a somewhat surreal outside area with a large gate that suddenly transports you to a dark place inhabited by a large pack of dogs (the only enemies in the entire level). Still, at least you finally find the loo. There are some really enjoyable touches in this level - if you don't manage a timed jump switch run, you end up at the bottom of a very long drop lying on huge letters that spell out 'dead' and there are huge save game icons at significant points through the game. It's a pretty good first time level and I certainly enjoyed it and hope for more from this builder." - Jay (20-Mar-2005)
"This level is not bad. But I don't like the story. A much better one could have been given to this adventure. Well, anyway, this world is therefore so beautiful, because many people make it colourful. You wake up in a cave, where you have to come back later for the Nitrous Oxide, that makes the gained motorbike more faster. But in order to do this, first you have to explore the dead district for the Laser Sight and the Revolver. Meanwhile you have to push levers and pull them on walls. After that you have to get to the rooftops by motorbike, then breaking the wall and getting down into the drains. The task is similar on the second level too, then after getting through the big gate, in a dark cave you have to hit dogs by the motorbike to finally do what has to be done. Well I'd surely have troubles 100 times during all this. :) On the whole, the level is not bad. Enemies are only at the last location. The textures are good, but unfortunately there are no added sounds. We can also collect 4 Compasses, these are the secrets - unfortunately not counted by the game. I could only collect three of them, one on the first, and two on the second level. Well, it wasn't so bad adventure. :) You can find a Hungarian walkthrough (as we don't have English version), savegames and pictures here: http://www.treditor.hu/15/busting.htm " - Obig (27-Feb-2005)
"The author admits this level is not finished, and so it looks. Lara has to find her way through a hill town/zoo in order to relieve her urgent emergency. There are no enemies. I liked the wacky ambience and humor the level shows, and it's too bad it didn't get farther along. The author shows promise, so I hope the next one is finished." - Duncan (21-Feb-2005)
"It's a crazy game but what did I expect from a joke level. Thinking about it though, I can't say it resembles other joke levels. Some ideas were good, riding the bike on the roofs, finding a way to the bike in the first place and a tricky way to get down the sewer were some of the good moments. On the other hand there were a lot of bugs, texture-wise, the 'end of the world' bug, a problem with the switch to drain the sewer (don't reload or it will get flooded again) although using the lever a second time fixed it, so to speak. Also a couple of butts weren't a nice sight and the biggest problem is the design of the outside areas. For a first level it was a good effort but there are ways to fix those bugs by asking for help, so next time I hope the author does just that, ask for help. You are searching for keys, the revolver plus laser-sight and pay attention to the surroundings for switches that will open the way. The second level is very short with jump switches and levers to choose from (although using them all won't do any harm) which open the double gates to the toilet lol and that's the end. Although the first two levels were bright the third part was pitch black with many dogs but since it is about one minute long you can run to avoid them and finish the game or even bring the bike to step on them. I found only the two secret compasses in the second level that didn't have the secret chime. Better eliminate the bugs before releasing a level." - Kristina (15-Feb-2005)
"Congratulations, Loch! This was a fun game! In order for poor Lara to find the 'facilities', she needs to first locate the revolver and laser sight. This search will lead you out into the ocean, through the woods, and into the charming little town. Once this is accomplished you are now equipped with the handy motorbike and prepared to carry on down into the sewer system. I can tell you one thing, I would find myself a cave a little closer to the privey (of course, I didn't get the impression that Lara much fancied her cave anyway). Loch used some interesting objects like the Save inventory icon. How bizzarre! You'll enjoy this unusual romp and I think we all look forward to more games from this new builder. Well done." - Mugs (15-Feb-2005)
