Reviewer's comments
"An old Easter level made by Juttae.
Gameplay Gameplay is pleasant and pretty straight-forward. There are some nice tasks and small puzzles. Enemies don't occur in this level. Camera hints are almost absent so sometimes you can get a little confused what to do but as level is not that big you will find your way pretty soon. We explore a big house and some nice plains.
Design, Atmosphere & Sounds Design is okay. There isn't anything astonishing, everything just looks ok and pretty simple. Textures are pretty and give nice vibes. Lighting is fine too. Some areas have too flat lighting and in some other areas Lara becomes black like tar. Architecture works but it is mostly simple and interior rooms are pretty boxy. I also think that author could expand map a little more because seeing an edge of the map in front of Lara is just anticlimatic. But overally atmosphere is cool with nice Easter vibes and decorations. However I missed some more decorations as some rooms looked pretty empty. Sounds usage is fine, however some doors and raising blocks didn't have sound and it confused me as I played because I didn't know what happened after pulling switch.
Conclusion It's a pretty, nice and short Easter level. I can recommend it for pleasant raid." - BlackWolfTR (16-Apr-2022)
"What a lovely place this is, not only the house itself is quite cozy but the outdoor areas are also beautiful, with beautiful gardens below calming blue skies. You set off after a number of easter eggs and will do some block pushing, one simple timed run and a platforming sequence before you get to finish your quest, but this turned out to be exactly what I needed to unwind after a rather stressful day. 25 minutes, 5 secrets. 07/21" - Treeble (04-Jul-2021)
"A lovely little easter adventure, in and around the outskirts of a house, some lovely outdoor areas in this with meadows and gardens occupied by some cute animals, the gameplay is familiar and simple but not boring or obvious which made it nice to play, you have some original textures and objects in a lot of rooms so eye candy there! its mainly about finding switches, eggs and objects and finding places to place them to progress, with some movable objects, platforming and timed runs and swims in some eye pleasing environments, it was a very relaxed chilled level with some familiar music which certainly adds to the atmosphere, it was too short for me i much prefer longer levels with more to do but it was very sweet" - John (07-May-2021)
"This is a nice, placid Easter level for those who want a break from the more high-octane tomb raiding experiences. No enemies, but that's fine by me as it fits its Easter classification. The gameplay is simple and relatively linear, revolving around pushing objects around, using switches and finding necessary items, so it would be perfect for younger raiders. The objects added to the experience and the textures were well done. A peaceful and tranquil level, almost relaxing." - Ryan (25-Oct-2016)
"This little level was my favorite easter game. It was a level for children of course but the big house was very well built. We can visit lot of beautiful rooms like a bedroom, a kitchen, various lounges, library ... and of course some beautiful gardens. I spend a very nice moment to explore it. The level is not hard but sometimes not so easy. There are little time runs, various objects to find, sometimes very well hidden (it's a easter level ^^) but nothing impossible. Beautiful textures and lightings. Don't miss this game, it's a pearl of the easter games even if the grades are not very hight (I don't understand why?????). Great job Juttae and thanks a lot." - BigFoot (08-May-2013)
"Here's a pleasant bit of fluff for those who would like a stress-free half hour break from the sterner stuff of, for example, the BtB levels. It's plainly intended for the kids, so I would recommend it as an ice-breaker for those just getting started with custom levels. Nice colors and good lighting. No enemies, of course, and a moderate number of opportunities to put on your thinking cap. I didn't bother with the special sound files, as they don't add a great deal to my enjoyment of the raiding experience, especially one as brief as this one. Recommended for a soothing change of pace." - Phil (09-Sep-2011)
"I really enjoyed this level. Nothing was too hard and you should know where you're going. The rooms were good and there was good lighting. I know this level was way back in 2005 but it's still really good and I became a reviewer only today! I really like easter levels because they're levels which aren't always tombs and dark stuff. Recommended to everyone." - afzalmiah (03-Mar-2011)
"What a relaxing and soothing level. The environment, the music, the tasks--i actually felt calmed by this level (and i really needed it!). There were fun little lambs and bunnies trouncing around beautiful garden areas. This is a wonderful level to play anytime you just need a pick-me-up. i will definitely play this level again. great work." - drguycrain (04-Jan-2008)
"I think this was a very pleasant and relaxing level and really worth playing. Paradice kind of environment looks very nice and audio tracks are used well to give this level nice magical atmosphere. There are also a lot of custom objects I haven't seen before and they are placed very well. Gameplay is also pretty nice but maybe there are too many objects to push and pull in this level. However, this was a nice little level which has totally different kind of setting than other levels and thats why it's very unique." - Samu (10-Apr-2007)
"Gameplay is fairly easy, no enemies, just a few lever pulling and object pushing, some things are very hidden though. The attraction here is the unbelievably charming atmosphere, music and sounds throughout the level; birds chirruping, frogs croaking, bunnies and lambs running around, a cute horse pulls a coach at the end, flowers, you name it, so many nice objects. It's like a pleasant spring dream. The rooms look very nice, perhaps a bit oversized, I could live in a place like this. Definitely worth playing, for the mood it brings you to." - Akcy (08-Apr-2007)
"What a pleasant Easter surprise. Lara begins her Easter holiday in a lovely meadow and is set to explore a house and the gardens surrounding it. Here I was completely in awe over the lovely textures and scenery. The outdoor scenery with the rivers, stone bridges and lush meadows with trees, bushes and spring flowers and, not to forget, the stunningly gorgeous pool in the garden was such a pleasant experience for the eye. The house was also very well made, with lots of amazing rooms to explore as well as a lovely garden. In fact I even got stuck at a few points so the fact that it's a level fit for children doesn't mean it's easy. There are many puzzles to solve here: moveable figures, switches to pull and doors and hidden passages to open. Lara must also find some Easter Eggs and 2 Red Beetles to proceed in the level. The pickups consist of chocolate bars and easter eggs instead of small and large medipacks and while wandering around in the meadows, Lara can also pick up tulips which function as flares. Of course: what would a Tomb Raider level be without secrets??? In this level there are 5 in total and they are not all that easy to find... some are very cleverly hidden. Since this is an Easter level there are no enemies or traps here, something which makes a wonderful change from the levels where Lara is constantly fleeing from bad guys, creatures and rolling boulders and blades. The music is also very well constructed and extremely pleasant to listen to. A level well suited for children and those young at heart... I would definetely recommend it to anyone, especially those who would like to take a break from the regular Tomb Raiderish adrenaline rush:)" - Selene (17-Jan-2006)
"Beautiful level. Puzzles are not very good, but objects are impressive, what a work! All kind of objects I've never seen before: flowers, sheep, swam, wooden switch,... very very well created. Nice textures and a peace ambience for a level that is worth to play." - Jose (07-Jun-2005)
"So far I have only played two of the handful of Easter levels but I can already say that they for me have a more uplifting feeling than the advent levels, though I love the advent levels too, in this instance it is the beautiful use of gardens and meadows with frolicking sheep and the lovely looking bright white home you get to play in. What though really made this 40 minute level a delight for me was actually meeting the Easter Bunny with his basket of eggs who is himself very happy to meet Lara as he constantly chases her and nudges her when near, this though had a hilarious but slightly creepy downside as when I first met him we were face to face and his small stature mixed with his oddly back and forth nudging made it look very, well you know, (said in a whisper) orally sexual. If that wasn't bad enough just, for the love of god, don't get Lara on her knees with Bunny boy behind her if there are any kids in the room because it will scar them for life, or at least have them as adults hunting down underground issues of 'Backdoor Bunny Babes' while stroking their lucky rabbit's feet a little too eagerly! So for consenting adults out there this level, with 5 chocolate secrets, is definitely one to play." - Sash (26-May-2005)
"This level is a fantastic Easter adventure. There's not a single enemy, but we have many things to do, and the secrets are also very well hidden. It's necessary to find the crowbar which is masked as a branch, and the two Red Beetles have to be pried off the wall with it in the rooms. You also have to notice the movable statues. It is important to pick up the medipacks (chocolates and eggs), because picking up one of the chocolates activates a block on the level. The crates have to be shot too, because they open doors or contain something useful. I found 4 secrets on this level. The textures are cartoon-like, gorgeous, and the added sounds are also wonderful.. :) You can find a Hungarian walkthrough (as we don't have English version), savegames and pictures here: http://treditor.hu/15/easter05.htm " - Obig (03-May-2005)
"This is the first of the Easter levels I played, and what an introduction, charming, delightful, beautiful, and engrossing. Starting off outside a lovely building, and the first thing I see is a rabbit on the grass. It took ages to find the crowbar, which is a twig, as I ran past it so often. Into a courtyard to find closed doors and switches high up, so obviously blocks have to be raised under them. Again, it took a while to figure out that to start the ball rolling I had to use a moveable object. Once found, it all started to fall into place to open each door in turn, with a fairly easy timed run early on. This level is simply gorgeous, the textures and colours are stunning, and the objects such as flowers, ornaments, etc., are beautiful. We have to find and place two ladybirds. We come across a little rabbit with Easter eggs in his backpack, but apart from following Lara around I couldn't figure out if he actually did anything to help. Placing the first ladybird opens up underwater tunnels that lead to a lovely meadow where there are friendly sheep cavorting about on the grass, a black swan swimming in the river, and little stone bridges crossing the river. Here we place the second ladybird and I fell into, rather than discovering, the hole in the ground that must be found before returning to my little bunny friend. Having opened up the final door we run out to see a terrific scene of a horse and carriage moving along the road and through an arch. If we run quickly we will get a good look at it. Lovely level, highly recommended. I wish to thank all the builders who created such wonderful levels for Easter. These and the Christmas levels are enchanting and I for one am grateful that we have such brilliant builders out there who are continually delighting us with their skill and imagination. These levels are suitable for children, and are an absolute delight to play for adults. Long may you all continue, you're great." - CC (28-Apr-2005)
"We have another beautiful Easter level here with eggs to find and a branch as a crowbar. The outside areas with the greenery, the wonderful stone-like bridge and fences were a nice sight, so where the puzzles inside the house with the movable statue. The bunny though looked like he was attacking Lara but he wasn't hurting her with was a good thing because I didn't have to shoot it. Basically it's a peaceful, festive level with some exploration and secrets to find, I got two. Be sure to give this one a try." - Kristina (25-Apr-2005)
"Great surprise those Eastern levels and having played all Jutta's other levels you know you'll find a lot of custom made objects. The beginning had me puzzled for a while as I didn't think to use the egg I found on that basket there. But once I was in the building the gameplay flowed. I was a bit fed up with all the pushing one has to do in this level though. But the overall look of this level is great. There is no need to shoot the animals in here so this is a nice level to play if you want some relaxed raiding. 29-03-2005" - Gerty (23-Apr-2005)
"As expected this seasonal level by Jutta has plenty of really lovely touches, like all the flower objects, the Easter bunnies, the great ending and more. But I did also find the 45 minutes in the lovely setting a bit tedious as often you have to push things around with no clear indication of why and what that triggers and the gameplay therefore feels a bit disjointed. Still the search for the 5 secrets is fun and I really enjoyed the moment when you come up from the water into that lovely meadow area. A level to definitely have a look at for its original objects." - Michael (15-Apr-2005)
"Both beautiful and cute, this is a peaceful level - as Holidays levels go - ideal for relaxation and perfectly suitable for kids. No challenge here but it doesn't really matter as it's obviously not the point. Research can become confusing sometimes: the areas are huge and some of the tasks aren't that obvious. It could have used some more camera shots too to prevent us from wandering around searching for changes or newly opened doors. But the beauty of the settings really save the day, so if you're looking for eye candy this is the one for you." - Sutekh (11-Apr-2005)
"That is a very nice level. I have really enjoyed it. It is created as an Easter level so it has got no enemies to kill. Your friends are some Easter bunnies and a beautiful Arabian horse my children like very much. You see, also children can play it. But it is not very easy. The game play is straight forward and sometimes a bit of a challenge. Don't wonder if you get stuck! There are 5 secrets hidden in the game. The difficulty ranges from easy (you stumble over it) to difficult (look exactly). There is also a time run. Fortunately it is not very difficult, because I don't like timed runs that need a lot of tries. The rooms and areas are very beautiful. It is an ambience where you could feel comfortable. But have an own look to this wonderful world. For a German walkthrough I have devoted to Juttae refer to http://free.pages.at/mannix/TombRaider/index.html " - Mannix (10-Apr-2005)
"Well, this is delightful - Easter eggs, bunnies, spring flowers, a beautiful, peaceful, bright house and grounds to explore - just lovely. The gameplay, whilst not difficult, is made fresh and interesting by the very clever re-texturing of objects and the ending with the horse and carriage is really stunning. Don't miss this one, it has an enormous feel-good factor." - Jay (07-Apr-2005)
"A fantastic and attractive level that is both light-hearted and clever. Lara has to polish her glasses and take a good look for subtle clues. The setting is very well done, and is filled with exotic plants and gentle beasties. There are no enemies, so there is no need to kill anything. This one has a good ending. This may be too subtle for children, but is perfect when quiet and pleasant gameplay is desired. Recommended." - Duncan (06-Apr-2005)
"JuttaE's Easter special excels, as her other levels, with some fantastic objects. Where shall I start, the bunnies? the lambs? the exotic looking beautiful flowers? All looking fabulous and giving the level a distinctive look, not mentioning the 'happy' meadows and light mansion settings. Though the new crowbar, the first egg and the movable statue are not all that obvious or fair, but with the overall light-heartedness surrounding the level, you simply can't hate it, and once you find a thread to follow it all flows pretty well and is not all that complicated as it might seem initially. Great effort with a pretty unique setting, well worth playing - and don't shoot the animals!" - eTux (04-Apr-2005)
