Reviewer's comments
"you get a few large rooms with nothing in them, then you get the pool room with a diving board and a little gym area to the side of it but theres nothing else to do and no music either so thats it folks enjoy if you can lol" - John (12-Aug-2021)
"It’s not Lara’s swimming pool, but it’s a swimming pool alright; clearly a public one, as some reviewers have pointed out, but it’s entirely empty, and there’s nothing to do. The builder took the time to go through the classic TR texture sets in order to lift some he could use for his locker rooms from “Thames Wharf” and “Sleeping with the Fishes”, and even added a drain to the floor of the kiddie pool; but he could not model a diving board (which would have required stacking rooms); so the platform which you can use for a swan dive (or not) looks merely like..some misshapen thing.
The humongous rooms, the monotonous texturing and the ominous City background audio combine to form an atmosphere of post-apocalyptic dread that the builder presumably wasn’t aiming for, but which garners this level a few points in the appropriate catgories." - Mulf (11-Feb-2021)
"I played a similar level like this. This one has textures from TR3 and some extra rooms like lockers, a mini assault course and a big pool to swim. But that's all." - alan (14-Feb-2018)
"I was exploring the whole place several minutes in case I could find something to pick up, a switch to pull or an object to decorate, but incredibly there is nothing included in this level; nothing! Only some connected rooms and no more. The changin rooms, the main room with the large pool and a small pool for the children and a sort of small gym in a side so Lara can practice some movements. What a level!" - Jose (15-Nov-2017)
"Yep and that's all. Apart from diving and whatever, there's not much else. I wouldn't bother if I were you." - Ryan (26-Mar-2016)
"This looks more than a big public pool than one in Lara's house and since it even has locker rooms I guess it actually is. There's a mini assault course that you can do on the side of the pool that's actually kinda fun but way to easy. There's one nice fixed camera but if you could see Lara's jumps from different angles too it would've look better. No objects whatsoever, the texturing is monotonous but it kinda works, lighting is simple. If you love swimming and diving in Tomb Raider this is for you, but you'll probably get bored quickly." - misho98 (27-Dec-2015)
"Yes, yes it is. And that's about it really. Unless you want to practise doing a few lengths in Lara's huge new pool, I'd give this one a miss as there really isn't much more to do!" - Jay (22-Nov-2015)
"Nothing more to add excepet the fact I got bored easily and quit the game. If you want to give this a try knock yourself out, but I wouldn't recommend it." - Gonxii (21-Nov-2015)
"Well, there's a swimming pool and you get the opportunity to play as Lara again, so you can't really blame the builder for false advertising of his work in that department. But at its core though, this is just nothing more than a Home-themed release with barely passable texturing and lighting amongst a collection of empty rooms to run through. So in conclusion, a completely uneventful level that I do not recommend anyone download, if you're desiring to get some actual entertainment factor out of this one." - Ceamonks890 (02-Dec-2014)
"It is a swimming pool, though it appears to closer resemble a public pool than a pool fit for Lara's sole use. Not really much I can add to here that hasn't already been stated. It really is just a bunch of near-empty rooms, which become boring remarkably fast." - Xela (20-Aug-2013)
"This level started kind of promising, with Lara in a more or less well textured corridor. There was some lighting in few rooms, but nothing to do, so I got to the main room and found the pool, well there's not any fun factor with it, and a little training parcours that took some time. I discovered that when Lara dives from the top of the block near the monkeyswing she doesn't die on the ground. And this was my senseless highlight of a uneventful level." - manarch2 (01-Jun-2011)
"Average texturing. Nearly constant, but not disturbing lighting. Some gameplay. And, oh, yes, you can do plenty of things in this level: a swan dive, a standing jump forwards dive, a running jump dive, a running jump with holding Action dive, a backflip dive, a sideways dive, an one-step-forwards fall and dive, an one-step-backwards fall and dive, a jump-up-and-hold-forwards-a-second-later dive, a jump-up-and-hold-backwards-a-second-later dive, and any other dive you can imagine. SUMMARY: Don't say there is nothing to do in this level. DIVE!!!" - DJ Full (04-Oct-2010)
"This should be Laras swimming pool? Anyhow it looks in such a way, as if the house is still in the shell of building. Or should it be torn off? Or wants Lara move out? Or is she broke? Something will already be right, because the rooms are absolutely empty, there is nothing to find and there are no duties to do. And because there is no Finish-Trigger, one could play three hours. Or one week. Or, nevertheless, only five minutes? Or maybe not at all? Nevertheless rather not at all." - Scottie (08-Jun-2009)
"Gameplay is well varied, ranging from running across huge and empty locker rooms, swimming and an obstacle course. Objects are also well placed, especially LARA in the beginning. Atmospherewise this is just superb, it retracts a pool very well, and hey, there's even camerawork for it. Now about the textures, I wasn't too fond of the blue walls, but you know what, I think they were a perfect match for the crystalline blue water. What do you know - it's a JOKE. The level, I mean. 3 minutes. 01/07" - Treeble (31-Jan-2007)
"A joke level with very large empty rooms which are textured brilliuanltly. Though there is no gameplay all you can do is to explore all the empty rooms , then you can climb the block near the swimming pooll & swandive into the pool. tHere is also a training area with a monkeyswing at one side of the pool. This could have been a great level if the builder decided to finish it, in my opinion the textures fit in correctly with the places" - Anurag (08-Feb-2006)
"There isn't much in this level. It mainly consists of a sauna two locker rooms a room with emergency equipment (in the event of a fire) a small pool for children and a large swimming pool. In the locker rooms some Lara Croft fans (or maybe Lara herself - Then she may be a narcissist or simply someone who wants to remember certain moments of her life) have attached pictures of Lara in their lockers. There are two ways to dive elegantly. You can either go through an obstacle course or climb up a white block and dive from the top of the block. In order to make it more dramatic the author put a fixed camera over there (he could've added a drum roll as well). Unfortunately this level doesn't have a finishing trigger and tomb4.exe crashes when you die (this never occurs unless you want to make Lara drown in the big pool or perform a swan dive landing on a slippery floor) or when you press 'Exit to Title'." - Sakusha (04-Aug-2004)
"Indeed this looks like place with wardrobe and big swimming pool - but after two minutes you see that there is nothing more to do." - Yoav (20-Apr-2004)
"It's a public swimming pool unless Lara provides acres of lockers for her friends when they visit including posters of herself stuck on them! But today they have decided not to bother and it's a big empty place. There is the tinyest bit of gameplay lasting 10 seconds on gym jumps with numbers on top. I laughed because it went like this 1 2 3 4 5 5 5 5. Large swimming pool with fire extinguishers on all walls. I wonder how far a fire would travel in a swimming pool! OK OK I'm doing my best here to write a review." - CC (02-Oct-2003)
"Well this really does look a bit like a public swimming pool but there's not much more to it than that. Try it if you're really bored." - eTux (07-Sep-2003)
"The weather is horrible outside so a swim wouldn't enter my mind and a swim here well what can I say - not so inviting either as there is not much to do really 17-01-2003" - Gerty (18-Jan-2003)
"See Lara jump from box to box. Watch her shimmy to the right and pull up. Enjoy a short monkey-swing. Chuckle at the foot-bath. Jump around on an exercise mat. Take a plunge into her pool. Ponder at where the rest of her house is. Load up another level." - Orbit Dream (02-Dec-2002)
"Not a level as such just a few large rooms with stretched textures. There is a small obstacle course to play along with a big diving board to jump into the pool." - Lil' Kid (25-Oct-2002)
"Big locker rooms a swimming pool and fire equipment...lots of it! Had a good laugh at the detail of the little swimming pool. I mean the little draining hole in the corner of it! And of course you have to try the great Lara diving act on the diving ramp. Well it was fun while it lasted." - bERT (22-Sep-2002)
"I lead Lara into the bathing cabins and pressed action over and over again but the frigid bitch wouldn't undress or even change into her swimsuit. The high-diving tower wasn't high enough to perform a swan dive with somersault and the assorted PE devices were a bit useless as well. The best thing I can say about this 6 room level is that it taught me a new word. Yes I had to look up the English word for 'Sprungturm' in the dictionary. I wonder how long I have to wait till I will be able to use the term high-diving tower in an everyday conversation." - Dimpfelmoser (23-Aug-2002)
"This is really just Lara's inside training rooms revisited if you want to take a look go for it but don't expect anything more than that." - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"Warm up on the small training parcours and cool off with a swim in the huge pool - not much more to it really." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"Apart from the fact that there is nothing to do here (it really is a revamped training level) I thought the place was well laid out and the textures well done." - Torry (21-Jun-2002)
"A very correct textured and lightened project. It is a kind of training room. A pool with its wardrobes where to test Lara abilities." - Josep (21-Jun-2002)
"This was one of my first downloads I enjoyed it despite the fact there was no real challenge to it." - Scott (21-Jun-2002)
"This is the perfect level to play when you've been at school all day and are too tired to play a real level yet you just have to do a little raiding. I thought a few of the textures in the locker rooms were interesting - they looked like regular locker rooms (locker doors open dirty clothes shoes etc) and had cool posters on the wall. They were Tomb Raider wallpapers! Both featured Lara in seductive poses of course. Freud would say I had pool envy - I would love to have a pool just like that in my house and after seeing that one I really wanted to go swimming." - RaiderGirl (21-Jun-2002)
"Actually this is not a real action level. It is more like a simplified training level. There are only a few rooms with no objects no traps and no enemies. And there is no level ending. The lighting is poor but the modelling/texturing is well done. You can almost feel the smell of chlorine as you try to find something interesting to do after swimming in the big blue pool." - Fabio Ribeiro (21-Jun-2002)
"This is just what the name suggests Lara's swimming pool. There are a couple of rooms more but there's nothing to do in them. Close to the swimming pool is a small training course. This was a joke-level which is not fun and looks very ugly." - Magnus (21-Jun-2002)
"The linking website is in Italian so for the non-speaker there is no insight to the contents. This level consists of 5 rooms including a large swimming area and gymnastics (very Croft-mansionesque with a splash of the YMCA; but think minimalist). There is no goal there are no enemies no pickups and no sounds. The rooms are clean and the gym area well put together. Playability is zero but if you take a look at this through the Level-builder's eyes it is a reasonable first level incorporating water monkey bars shadow and a clean use of texture albeit mostly ceramic tile. Take a dip in the pool dry off and let's go adventuring for another level!" - MichaelB (21-Jun-2002)
"All you will see is big rooms empty and a huge one with what a surprise a swimming pool and some kind of a gym but not even close. That's it. Now what else can I say to fill this review. I know that you can't finish it not that you ever start anyway because there is nothing to start only take a walk in there and go find a level with objects puzzles and everything you need to say you are playing a game." - Kristina (21-Jun-2002)
