Reviewer's comments
"This is a rather pleasant although nondescript jungle level featuring the "new-look Lara," and it's a fun raid for the 25 minutes or so that it takes to play it. The textures aren't terribly pleasing to the eye, and the looping TR3 music grates on the nerves a bit, but everything flows in a logically linear fashion. There are few enemies (monkeys and tigers) that try to impede your progress, and the traps are easily avoided for the most part. There's no finish trigger, the game just crashes when you reach the end. For rainy days only." - Phil (22-Jan-2018)
"Another demo that didn't see the light of day...a great pity, for at least it looked good. It's incredibly short and smooth-flowing, although there is some slightly tricky jumping to do. You will also find a couple of keys to allow you to reach the objective of the level: a Horseman's Gem. The looping TR3 India audio (which seems to be the norm for most jungle levels like this one) was used again, but the level was so short that it didn't become too annoying." - Ryan (19-Mar-2017)
"A very short adventure clearly inspired by Legend, though unfortunately that is not entirely a good thing for the builder. The design of the level is often Lara being inside a "box" of ruins with ledges sticking out for you to jump between, though I was delighted that some jumps were actually difficult to perform. The water surfaces are missing textures, and some overly steep slopes lead way to stretched textures, though at least the author showed a good effort. Lighting is pretty good actually, though maybe the water is a little too blue. The key objects were kind of random and not labeled, and the receptacle for the blue key looked more like a coin receptacle. Still you can enjoy some vine swinging, boulders, and many pits of spikes for some entertainment. I am glad the author has made it this far, though I might suggest going for substantial level play first, and maybe in an indoor temple or such before moving on to more natural, rocky areas." - SSJ6Wolf (04-Feb-2009)
"Another level using textures of Ghana. It looks nice, for the most of it, but with adequate lighting it could have improved greatly. Gameplay is rather on the simplistic side, pretty straightforward and mostly relying on platforming as you gather they keys you need. There are some tigers and snakes about, too, but they don't really pose a treat. Oh, and one last thing: the looping background audio chosen got really annoying after a while, especially because it doesn't fit that purpose. 20 minutes. 11/08" - Treeble (01-Nov-2008)
"I don't know why the author has included two tr4 files in the zip. It seems that both files are the same level with a few details different. There is also a new title which is short in duration but very big in size (obviously the author has not got rid of the useless sounds) which explains a rather big download size for only 25 minutes of gameplay. Now the level itself is rather pleasant , with simple architecture and with these new "jungle" textures. It is all pretty straightforward and fluent with a few tigers to shoot , spike traps , rope swings and some short platforming actions which are the best parts of this demo. I'm not sure though I would have appreciated more than 25 minutes of this straightforward and easy raid. The basic lighting is there as Lara appears in 3D, but is quite simple. It would have been a good thing if the author had placed some spot lights and effects on the walls, to enhance the rooms a bit and to better see where you have to go. I really like the new sounds for Lara, on the downside the use of the Indian theme as background audio loop from beginning to end was tiresome." - eRIC (14-Jul-2007)
"This short jungle demo with a TR Legend style has good aspect, easy to play, simple tasks, few enemies, few pickups, the best for me were the textures. The author would consider for the final release to implement some cameras and musics, and think about some interesting puzzles too." - Jose (10-Jul-2007)
"Temple.. yes, spooky, not sure. It does look good though but as it says it is a demo (again). Still not sure why people releases demos as they hardly ever finished it later. The level itself is straightforward and finding some keys to finish it, is all you have to do. So Carlos, back to the drawing board and finish this one." - Gerty (09-Jul-2007)
"Yet another Demo of a level which may or may not see the light of day. Personally I hope it does,as (judging from this preview) it'll be a good-looking one at the very least(although why the water isn't textured is anyone's guess).Gameplay-wise,this is a rather linear run-around and were it not for the TR3 Nathan MacRee musical accompaniment I would probably have become rather bored. Perform a few rope-swings,master some reasonably entertaining jumps and shoot a few animals. After 25 minutes you'll have aquired a key which allows you to reach the finish trigger. No sweat." - Orbit Dream (09-Jun-2007)
"This demo isn't bad. It looks good with its Legend textures and appears to be competently built. The gameplay mainly consists of climbing and a bit of rope work, shooting tigers (and I do seem to have been doing a lot of that lately), plus finding a couple of keys. It certainly could be a good level with more varied and challenging gameplay. At one point I did think I was getting a short timed run, but it was not to be. Probably not worth downloading in its current state, unless you feel compelled to play every level in sight, but with a bit more inventiveness the finished version could be well worth looking at." - Jay (08-Jun-2007)
"This is a short and sweet adventure of about 20 minutes which will hardly ever have you stop and think. It is set in a very greenish environment with nice textures used, but the rooms are all a bit boxy. Progression involves some platform jumps, ropes, swimming, avoiding spike traps and is very linear. Only a few tigers, monkeys and a snake to meet along the way and two keys to find. A good start for this new author, looking forward to seeing more." - MichaelP (07-Jun-2007)
"It's a nice demo which could have been a short level. The setting is something between a jungle and ruins and there are a couple of keys or so to find plus a few climbs or swinging using ropes. There is a problem in one area where you use a key on the hole we use the token so hat needs fixing. Other than that there are a few tigers to kill but nothing else. The puzzles though are missing so I hope for the full version we get some of them. It lasted about fifteen minutes." - Kristina (03-Jun-2007)
"The game and puzzles are simple and easy to reach. It is a DEMO and it demonstrates his talent. The game is very short, gave desire to play it more time. The enemies are not avriados and are very few. The sound track is very repetitive and she is only one. The sounds of Lara command post do not please much. Lara in TR:Lengeds is brilliant, uses lantern. The atmosfera of the game is enough realist and is enough beautiful.Las textures made an impression to me and the details of the scenes are incredible. It is a DEMO and well it is developed, but, there are jeugo more length." - REHome (26-May-2007)
