Reviewer's comments
"It would've been shorter if I had spotted the key in the water sooner. But aside from that, it's a very short demo with a guard and crocodile to kill, some easy puzzles and that's it. I honestly thought it'd be longer but it's fine like that." - alan (26-Feb-2023)
"It's a short but promising demo, there's nothing too much to do but everything is in place. I noticed a great similarity with Dark Skies - it seems Atlantis felt complete already, so the rest was scrapped and the location included in the newer project instead. I would still like to see both forms though." - DJ Full (12-Nov-2018)
"The author states that this little taster is unfinished due to a computer crash and unfortunately there is little gameplay to speak of. But, the atmosphere and texturing isn't too bad. Nice little add- on to the Atlantis series." - Ryan (03-Oct-2017)
"Can't give high scores for this demo 'cause it's very short and there's few gameplay. It's a pain that this level could never be finished, 'cause the natural environments are well created (but a bit dark). Also the very small key lying in the floor could be placed in another more visible location. There are some ilegal slopes and small errors in the texturization, but nothing important. Another work with the typical Justin's style." - Jose (09-Feb-2016)
"It's a shame that justin couldn't finish this level. It seems that Lara is back into the jungle and as i stated in the previous reviews, the jungle/laboratory levels where far the best from the series. It's a really short demo with little to evaluate." - Zhyttya (08-Jan-2016)
"For what i saw it could be a really promising level way better than the previews Atlantis. Even if it didn't seem like a full continuation it was bug free, there were some new introduction on what to use and the design it self was OK. I hope this was released to clear out the image I have from Atlantis 4 and 5." - Leeth (08-Jan-2016)
"This one is the briefest of tidbits, clocking in at just over five minutes. It's a promising start to what undoubtedly would have been an entertaining raid, but Justin lost his project files as a result of a computer crash and never finished the project. On the other hand, my own project - reviewing all of Justin's levels - is now finished and I can just sit back and await his next release." - Phil (01-May-2015)
"We're back in the nostalgic world of exploding monkeys, soldier corpses and forests of box trees.Actually, nostalgia is pretty much all you'll take from this brief and unfinished Demo;but it must be said that what exists of gameplay is perfectly fine;and the atmosphere that the seven minutes of playing time manages to generate is surprisingly effective." - Orbit Dream (22-Jul-2014)
"This level I had to play separate as I couldn't play it from the download of this series. Luckily I still had it on one of the many CD's I have and it is a nice little teaser. A pity that Justin never could finish it though. You're back at the jungle and there isn't that much to do, as it is a demo." - Gerty (05-Jul-2013)
"This demo continues the Atlantis story. The area in the forest looks really impressive and I really enjoyed climbing in the tree houses, or swimming around in the little river. For this reason it's a pity, that the author has never released this level. I think it would look great in High-res textures. Maybe the author could think about that, I would welcome a full version." - Jonson (27-Jul-2009)
"I'm sorry to hear that this demo never to be finished, and since it's a demo, I don't think it can be rated objectively. Anyways, it's been a nice little closure. Just a few things to do in a village, but still there are some nice touches, the tiger in his cage, who fortunately not to be killed, and the lone fish about the key was cute." - Akcy (12-Jun-2005)
"Back in the jungle again for a very brief time. Kill a croc find a key use it kill a guard drag a guard off a card and Bob's your uncle. Kind of sad though that all this has ended. Then again we have the Dark Skies series to look forward to. Highly recommended series of levels." - CC (06-May-2004)
"It's a shame that this level wont grow to a full version since it looked like it could be a great level one day but then again if the computer crash would never take place he could never offer the fantastic Dark Skies series. This small demo has a few nice touches like the red fish guarding the skull key the tiger behind the fence the dead guy lying in front of the station and his laptop nearby him. You can get this to finish the Atlantis series worthy but otherwise I would recommend you to play another level." - eTux (08-Feb-2003)
"Since this is a demo it can't be rated properly as it only lasts five minutes and has no puzzles. The only actions are to pull a soldier and get a pass card find a key shoot a SAS guard turn off the fire climb a few ladders and use the key. A door opens and the demo ends. It is in an outside area with greenery all around and very dark as usual. It could have been a good level although I prefer them brighter." - Kristina (07-Feb-2003)
"Such a shame that Justin's Computer crashed and he was never able to finish this as the little teaser we have here looks damn sexy. I particularly care for the little goldfish that is guarding the skull key. Such a nice touch. Well there is not much to do here really pull a lever use a key kill one guard and drag away another. You're through it in 5 minutes. It' s all set in a spooky jungle environment with fires burning everywhere a little stream and a couple of monkeys frolicking around. Go and have a look." - Dimpfelmoser (26-Nov-2002)
"After playing this five minute demo and knowing the full version will never be released I can't help but feel that it is quite a loss to the TR community. Justin always works magic with the level editor and I could tell this would have been as brilliant as all his other work. A small area is covered but it is full of atmosphere and the creature slithering around in the dark will have you looking behind your back every few seconds. It takes place in a small jungle area with a waterfall a stream with a bridge over it and even a fish swimming in it (which I loved) monkeys running around huts in the trees a tiger roaming a small area behind a fence lot's of little areas to explore and all the attention to detail I've come to expect from this author. It's been awhile since justin gave us a new level and I hope to see another one someday." - RaiderGirl (07-Nov-2002)
"The low score given to this demo should have no bearing on the full version as there is no doubt in my mind that it will be fantastic; it's just that the game play in this demo consists of finding and using a small skull key (which I easily overlooked) turning off a fire and locating a card to end in around 4 minutes." - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"A bit of an anticlimax after the thrills of the Atlantis 1-5 levels. This is only a demo consisting of 12 rooms which I think will never become a full level as the author lost the files in a harddisk crash L. Still it is worth a quick look to feel the sinister jungle atmosphere and to see the tiger behind the fence." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"This demo promises a lot and the little things like the lone fish swimming in the stream are great touches of realism BUT like most demos this is too short to rate fairly. It promises of another great level to come though. My only complaint is that it is way to dark." - Torry (21-Jun-2002)
"In this short demo of about 10 minutes after the hard works in Atlantis Lara returns in the forest among huts and Tibetan bridges and she has to find a particular key and a security pass to go into a laboratory. There is even a SAS a harmless monkey and a tiger in an enclosure. The rate is symbolic!" - Boris (21-Jun-2002)
"What a strange level after playing the whole Atlantis series! I didn't get it it seemed to be a return to level 3 ('Atlantean Cascade and Canopies') but lasting only 5 minutes with a small search for a key that open the door to what I suppose it's the Northern Station. I liked the texturization and the objects placement and I was very pleased when I finished the level without getting through a fire cavern or earthquakes... after all it's really a pity that the author lost this work as I think would be another great jungle setting level." - Treeble (21-Jun-2002)
