Reviewer's comments
"A small room to showcase how to fill a room with ankle-level water and how to drain it again. That's all, folks." - Charles Kane (06-Feb-2021)
"You get to use a valve switch, triggering a waterfall that makes the floor wet. Attempts have been made to prettify the surroundings, and to make them more interesting by the addition of gratuitous extras, though the sprites got corrupted during the process (water ripples are rendered as red squares). All this may lead you to believe there’s more to it than meets the eye, but it’s really nothing more than a demonstration of a working flipmap. You’ll have to move on to the builder’s own sequel (Floodtest 2) in order to experience some serious raiding." - Mulf (21-Oct-2019)
"It is a test level, I don't have to point the pointlessness (Intended joke) of this level. Sprites are quite weird and Lara is kinda bleeding while walking. What else? Wolfy Regards." - Wolf7 (06-Mar-2019)
"The water element and flood have been tested here. Well, there's nothing special to say about this, you turn a valve, pick up some flares and that's it!" - Nuri (23-May-2018)
"In this one you can see how a valve activates a flipmap, as well as pick up some flares, but that's pretty much all there is to it. I thought it was funny how the water turned red when Lara ran through it." - Ryan (01-Apr-2018)
"Not worth to play this "one room" level only to collect a couple of pickups and see how Lara floods and dries a room when turning a wheel switch. Well, at least there is a finish trigger." - Jose (29-Jan-2018)
"In this test level you can see how a flipmap works. You make a determined action and a room suffers some changes, whether to fill it with water, raise blocks, etc. Here it shows the process, filling a room. You only pick up 2 boxes of flares, one on the empty room and another one in the puddle. Then, if you want, you can head to the level end which only activates if the room is empty." - alan (19-Nov-2016)
"Test level, there is not almost anything to do." - vienna (05-Sep-2016)
"I've been waiting for a level with enough flares provided and here's one, and we can flip it to get even more. The change occurs with a nice waterfall effect and some pipes placed around help imagine the water flow but the setting is a totally isolated cube so we can't totally feel like in the sewers. The flooded room has no finish so we need to drain it again to end the level. The author obviously didn't want me to play with the wheel multiple times because the whole setup is one-shot. I guess this was a good idea." - DJ Full (17-Aug-2015)
"A mere flipmap room test. This is a test level so not really much to see or do here otherwise, pretty much only for the completionists. 09/14" - Treeble (26-Sep-2014)
"All you essentially do is pull a valve wheel to partially flood the room and then pull it again to revert the room back to normal(collecting some unneeded flares if you want) and end the level. Besides that, there is literally nothing else to do here. Only really recommended if you're curious to see how certain things work in the TR5 engine and nothing more." - Ceamonks890 (11-Jul-2014)
"What high quality effects! Red water when Lara walking through! Flood or not, that's your choice! And an end trigger! Impressing!" - manarch2 (25-Aug-2010)
"As said by the other reviewers - probably not really even intended for mere players - and thus all it does is demonstrates how a particular effect works. Turn the wheel on and off, collect the flares and you're done." - eTux (26-May-2010)
"It's a test level. You pull a wheel, and we get a room with water. Moreover, if we tipping in the water, it will be bloody. If you pull again the wheel, the room will be dry, and we can go to the finish trigger via the thunnel. Interesting. :)" - Obig (25-May-2010)
"This is interesting to someone involved in creating levels: how to flood a room. Not much for players to do beyond that." - dmdibl (27-Dec-2009)
"A typical example of a well made test level which displays flipmaps and some effects but have very little to offer to the player." - eRIC (18-Dec-2009)
"Turn a valve twice, collect flares, and step into the end trigger. And we did it!" - rtrger (02-Dec-2009)
"The title says it all really. You turn a valve wheel to flood the room. Turn it again and the room drains. Oh, and there are some flares to pick up too." - Selene (25-Oct-2009)
"It's a test level.And there's a flood in it!" - Orbit Dream (23-Sep-2009)
"Turn a valve and flood the room. Turn the valve again and drain the room. Good grief, I practically wrote a walkthrough there. Nice little animation though." - Jay (22-Sep-2009)
"Aptly titled as flooding and draining a single room is all you do here. Indeed funny though, to see how the water turns bloddy as Lara is running around in it." - MichaelP (20-Sep-2009)
