Reviewer's comments
"A neat little level with cool idea, although the execution is quite flawed. What I don't like is how the fake platforms are pretty much indistinguishable from the real platforms, and how the cracks to shimmy to the exit is pretty much invisible, that you'd be forgiven to consult to walkthrough.
Still, recommended for a short novel raid." - Charles Kane (05-Oct-2023)
"(I was convinced I had reviewed this level, but apparently not, never mind, gonna do it now ^w^)
I ADORE this level, and I mean it, I have no idea what is wrong with me but I love the overall look of this and the surrealism it has, not to mention that little sneaky path you can take in the beginning if you look better in the bushes at your right hehe. Apart from that, true, there is not really much to see, but the last rooms really look quite nice and overall I found quite "touching" the story of the level, a desperate author trying to make his little level work not finding an engine capable of supporting it! (Oddly enough if you ask me).
An odd level I still do love a lot, but can't deny it is very, very flawed. Total lack of objects, quite tedious gameplay (almost pun, but you can actually have a little bit of a hard time with this), not too great texturing and odd geometry, but still you could check it out if you think you wanna experience something cool, that is still my favourite bad game. Wolfy Regards." - Wolf7 (03-Jan-2021)
"This is not meant to be something serious, more like a test. It has a bunch of slopes and platforms that you have to use in order to reach the other side and jump down to another area, where you will find the levelexit. No pickups or enemies or puzzles." - Nuri (03-Feb-2020)
"I have no idea what this is about but appears more of a test level than anything else. Upper layer is quite straightforward but the below layer in the watery pit, the invisible crack was not good design. Seven minutes and you are done." - Torry (25-Oct-2019)
"This hodgepodge of a level makes no sense, and the readme clearly states it's not meant to, and all you do here is jump across a few slides (up in the sky, presumably) to reach the other side of the area. Onwards... 5 minutes. 10/19" - Treeble (20-Oct-2019)
"To be a debut it's not so bad; a level only based on gymnastics and sloped jumps without tricky tasks. The things I didn't like were the unmarked climbable wall, the fake ledges at the end of the room and the invisible crack in the lake area. Not very funny but playable anyway." - Jose (16-Jan-2018)
"Two points for the jumping challenge. Three for the surreal atmosphere. Two for lighting and texturing. Nothing else apart from to finish the level. For TR3 addicts only." - Ryan (06-Apr-2016)
"This is supposed to be a quick exercise focusing just on jumping, but it can be very short or very long, depending on Your ability to read the builder's mind at the exit. Has some interresting surreal texturing but erratic so the platforming zone, supposed to be heavenly, still feels like a box. The ending cave is much better what makes the whole thing quite different from usual simple levels. Still, the place contains nothing more than these two rooms. SUMMARY: A bit of practice You can attempt." - DJ Full (29-Apr-2015)
"Another short level that feels more like a test of the player's jumping skills if nothing else. Beyond that though, there isn't really a whole lot to this one, with unconvincing texturing, non-existent lighting and no objects or enemies to look at or encounter. Give it a shot if you're curious, but don't be surprised if you end up finishing this level feeling rather unsatisfied with the general experience overall." - Ceamonks890 (24-Sep-2014)
"From the first few seconds, I didn't think there would be a lot going for this level. But ultimately my opinion of it was better. If you don't count the random fall-through platforms, the sliding sections are simple and fun on their own, but looks are kind of nonsensical. After the drop in the blue cave - the visuals improve, but since the level ends soon after, it's past its gameplay zenith at this point. With some tweaking this actually could've been a fairly enjoyable game, as it is - it's still a nice curiosity, but one that lasts for 3 minutes." - eTux (14-Nov-2010)
"Very short level. Many sloped jumps were easy, some were more challenging. Textures were quite unrealistic but at the end they get better. There weren't any enemies, objects or secrets so no point for this." - manarch2 (06-Aug-2010)
"I this this short level is a test level. One hopscotch. We have to jump from aslope platforms, above the deep, before we jump in the water and hang on the wall before we exit the level. But it's great for a test level or a training level. :)" - Obig (30-May-2010)
"Actually not a bad concept as such for a level, with a series of (easy) slope jumps to master, but over too quickly after about 3 minutes." - MichaelP (16-May-2010)
"This is confusing in that it isn't clear what the objectives are. Lara faces a number of floating slopes, so she must have to cross them, but it isn't exactly clear where she is headed. Slope blocks, even if transparent, seem to be safe. Flat solid-looking blocks may be fall through, and so fatal. The blue blocks (clouds?) seem to all be safe. There are a number of routes that Lara can take. I think Lara at first took a shortcut, as two other routes also ended on her block. She jumps around and sees a pool far below, and falls into it. There are three obvious exits (bad) and one obscure exit (good). The level ends." - dmdibl (10-May-2010)
"I actually liked the level. I love the jumping levels. Although I ended up on the yellow exits and died that way. I think the level could have used some bats or rats and perhaps a switch or two to continue the level. Also when there would be more scenery, it would be more fun. And there's also something weird. The level is called 'clouds'. Yes you start on clouds but there's a cave and some tree textures wich I think don't make any sense. Anyway, it's a fun level" - Dempsey (03-May-2010)
"Some twisted jumping at the begining on floating blocks.(they're supposed to be clouds but...let's say these things are just floating blocks) A dive to a pool, so you can reach a blue room,(visuals aren't that bad there) than a long shimmy, and you finished it. Very odd level, overally. Looks odd, the concept itself is also odd. Odd, odd, odd." - rtrger (29-Apr-2010)
"Still foutage of mouth, jumping, jumps, 'invisible' platforms, you walk on the lava and you die (normal), we jump over the lava and land on the black one and burn, unrealistic, jumping, jumps and again, it's boring, but hey, it was fun xD" - FX (19-Feb-2010)
"This original level is more an exercise at jumping with series of slopes. Nothing difficult. The only thing is that a few of the flat tiles are intentionally fake and Lara plunges to her death. At the end of that big room which is somehow hanging in the atmosphere, a dive to a swimming pool then a shimmy to the exit via an invisible crack. The texturing could be better and the lighting is absent. No enemies. Background audio track is from the Floating Islands which suits fine the setting. [ 7 minutes ]" - eRIC (21-Dec-2009)
"Use a series of jumps to get from one side of a large area to the other. That's it basically. It's quite well devised, but does include unmarked climbing textures, which I always consider a bit naughty. It looks very 'blocky', but then I suppose TR3 levels do tend to look that way to us nowadays. One for rabid TR3 addicts only, I think." - Jay (30-Sep-2009)
"It's all about jumping, but it's not much fun;mainly because of some unfair sequences and the surreal atmosphere, which is created through deliberately scrappy texturing rather than clever design. It took me 7 minutes, which was quite enough." - Orbit Dream (26-Sep-2009)
