Reviewer's comments
"Strange Tomb Raider 3 level that leaves you feeling unfulfilled. Just a random group of rooms with seemingly no purpose to their design and an unmarked climbable (a pet hate of mine). Someone had been here before Lara as the numerous dead tigers indicate. I was waiting for them to spring to life but alas it was not to be. Ten minutes or so and you are done." - Torry (11-Dec-2019)
"I had this archived as a test level, so maybe we should take that into account. What we get here is a functional, albeit pointless, run through a series of random rooms using TR5 textures in search of a few levers to open doors and proceed. As Orbit Dream pointed out, the closest to a "puzzle" you'll come across is an unmarked climbable wall. Maybe if Sethes' kept on building we might have been surprised eventually... 15 minutes, 2 secrets. 11/19" - Treeble (01-Dec-2019)
"Level to do very quickly, just to follow the path with some slight detours. A few tigers and some monkeys that I did not even kill." - Drakan (25-Oct-2019)
"The only standout part of this level is the large amount of tiger slaughter. If they weren't endangered before, they certainly are now Lara's been through here. Everything else is bland, dull and run-of-the-mill." - Ryan (24-Dec-2017)
"I was left with a weird feeling after playing this. Rather strange level. Oh well, it is a first (and last) from this builder." - Gerty (28-Oct-2016)
"Another straightforward level that has you run, climb, crawl and swim around empty repetitively-textured environments in the hopes that you'll quickly find the way out, with enemy slaughtering and the odd case of lever pulling serving as the main attractions in the gameplay department. At its core however, this is just another uninspired and completely forgettable release to add to the pile at the end of the day. So, I'd highly recommend skipping this one." - Ceamonks890 (24-Sep-2014)
"This is a great level for anyone with a grievance against tigers, since the major part of the gameplay involves slaughtering them. There are also a few monkeys around, but they are the 'ignore them and they ignore you' breed so I just left them alone. A couple of secrets will provide you with enough fire power to wipe out an entire game park of wildlife, but pistols will more than suffice for this level. Apart from that, there's a little swimming and climbing, switch throwing and a key to find." - Jay (10-Jun-2011)
"There's a smidgin of gameplay in here, but it's mainly all about picking up masses of ammo and weaponry and then going around indiscriminately slaughtering wildlife. The closest thing to a puzzle is a climbable wall not clearly textured as such;lighting is non-existent and the textures are wallpaper'd.It entertains reasonably for about 15 minutes nonetheless;but you won't remember it more than a week later." - Orbit Dream (27-Nov-2010)
"There are some cases of leaving the main track for getting some secrets... but generally, there is little walking around in the main gameplay thread, which is mostly linear. The only one side alcove we need to check for the only key, and if we miss it, there is a backtrack through the last half of the level. Also, we find a place we get nothing from and can only kill 2 enemies in there. And, if we speak about enemies: they are classic tigers and monkeys, but well placed, so we can spend some uzi ammo effectively at last. For hearing this nice TR3 sample of firing their bullets, I give 1 point for sound. Texturing is monotonous, but not so boring, and lighting is poor, but cooperation of these elements is enough to convince me I'm in some kind of a catacomb. SUMMARY: One of many average TR3 levels available, but so short you can't get bored. Optional." - DJ Full (01-Nov-2010)
"What a masterpiece this is! Not. Game was except for secrets and few animals quite boring. Textures were nearly streched and so unappropriate. I didn't like it." - manarch2 (05-Oct-2010)
"Not a masterpiece by any means, but I wonder if the level title should have been translated differently (debut?). It is a rather crude offering, but it plays with a quick and easy flow for a few minutes, killing a few tigers and finding pickups that would last for ten levels of this sort. The two secrets were ok, the rest is rather uninspired." - MichaelP (12-Jun-2010)
"Playable, though maybe 'masterpiece' is an unfortunate title choice. After Lara finds a couple secrets, she is loaded with shotgun and Uzi ammo, and can handle galloping tigers. The rooms follow a uniform pattern of dull texturing. The game folder contains a savegame.0, but this is not the beginning of the level, so start a new game. I noticed one floor had been randomized (a feature of the level editor), but this never appears natural. One white climbable wall wasn't obvious to me, so the level took about fifteen minutes; it probably should go faster." - dmdibl (08-Jun-2010)
"Straightforward level , with extended areas for a couple of secrets , the hunt for them where you get shotgun and Uzis with plenty of ammos may take half of the time spent here. The only 'puzzling moment' was to jump to a white stony wall which did not appeared climbable to me. I did not shot any monkey, only the tigers. The looks suffer from the absence of proper lighting , there is a couple of thin walls and the author did not textured one place , maybe to create 'darkness'. There is a finish trigger but I could not exit the game (had to reboot the PC)." - eRIC (06-Jun-2010)
