Reviewer's comments
"Well everyone has to start somewhere...so they've made a start. This is a very brief raid at 10 minutes and the aim here is to collect a compass, I guess that's something unique. You must make your way through a vast array of very large rooms with very thin walls, fighting ninja's as you go, you must also avoid a few fire traps and pull one or two levers. I liked the Egyptian murals on many of the walls, that was the best part of this I think. There were few if any objects, maybe some statues here and there, and there were the classic TR4 soundtracks in the background. This was ok, and hopefully they'll learn more about the editor to produce something even better." - sonnyd83 (13-Aug-2017)
"Better, better. This time there are more rooms to explore, a monkeyswing, ladders, some pickups, some enemies, some levers and doors, some musics... But still many things to get better: the elongated textures, the paper walls, the architecture, add some cameras, the lighting, add some puzzles... Continue so." - Jose (10-Mar-2017)
"A slight improvement over this builder's debut (at least it moves away from the 'Lara in a Box' style of the previous), but still, there's not much going on here. A few ninjas to shoot, levers to use, a quick slide down and it's over." - Ryan (10-Jan-2017)
"A level where Lara has to look for a compass in an egyptian "temple". Well, this doesn't look so much like a temple. Boxy and tall rooms connected with different light colors, thin walls, and some architecture used in certain rooms. Some textures are nice, like the ones in some walls. Gameplay consists in fighting ninjas and scorpions, and that's the only thing you do, besides running, crawling and swimming. Also pushing some movable statues but only to unblock the way. At least some tracks are used. There seems to be more at the end of the level, I could see some pillars... So maybe this is a demo, or a test level. 8 minutes and no secrets." - alan (27-Dec-2016)
"Probably the best thing about this level is its brevity. Actually, to be fair it is an improvement on the first level from this builder, but it still displays a good roundelay of beginner mistakes and the gameplay is rudimentary." - Jay (14-Dec-2016)
"Ian mentioned boosting the review count. But with this one I get to boost not only my review count but my walkthrough count. Sorry, folks. I'm easily impressed, but I can't in good conscience dole out my usual high scores for this ill-advised release. Work on the learning curve some more, then give us a level you can justly be proud of." - Phil (05-Dec-2016)
"Gameplay... yes there is, puzzles... none. Enemies, yes the shooting ninja's and they come in bunches of three and a couple of scorpions. Popping out of thin air is always fun to watch though. But there is progress, so keep at it." - Gerty (02-Dec-2016)
"An improvement from the builder's previous release made available nine days prior(in the sense that this is something you can actually complete this time around). And while its nice to see Velociraptor get better in several areas, he seriously does NOT need to have these test levels uploaded to the site for every single time he learns how to do new things within the editor itself, with all these best left on the builder's own computer for personal experimentation. Not recommended to go through, unless you're a reviewer." - Ceamonks890 (01-Dec-2016)
"And I like instead. I tried to download "Planet of the Ancients" and this appeared in the very moment - it's a SIGN, and a warning one: compared to previous attempt, this level is miles of progress for the author, with all generic types of movement, a defined "mission", a proper build-up to the climax and a better conclusion than I saw in certain pro levels. SUMMARY: Still a long way ahead, but I enjoy the brilliant learning curve. Keep evolving in this tempo!" - DJ Full (01-Dec-2016)
"It IS an improvement on this builders previous level,in that attempts (albeit rudimentary) have been made with regard to textures and lighting;while enemy placement is also basic, although entertaining. The interiors are entirely boxy and uninspired;and it's ironic that the level ends just as Lara appears to be reaching somewhere interesting. Yet another for the review count." - Orbit Dream (01-Dec-2016)
"The author offers a second attempt, which now at least can be called a level, as it features many of the trademark activities in a level and last for about 6-7 minutes with an actual objective - the compass - and a finish trigger this time. The looks are still very basic and you mainly run through and kill ninjas. So, in essence, this is proof that the author has been reading the manual and is learning the ropes of the editor, but arguably, these efforts should not be released to the public, but kept as early learning experiences on local harddisks..." - MichaelP (30-Nov-2016)
"Boring, unattractive (save for a few nice textures) and thus not much less pointless than the builder's debut. In all honesty I do not see the pressure behind builders to release something like this. The builder has apparently played at least a few games so he should know there is much more possible even with not that much experience. Four minutes, no secret." - manarch2 (30-Nov-2016)
