Reviewer's comments
"How creepy sound those horses at the beginning. In this short level there's a long swim where I used 3 small medipacks 'cause I almost got drowned. Enemies are only some knights and fire wraiths. It's very dark in places but there are more than enough flares to use. There are 2 easy puzzles with moving some planets. In the final area Lara bumped into an invisible wall, so I didn't know what was inside that house (maybe the horses?). It ended quickly, in 15 minutes." - alan (19-Feb-2018)
"A brief raid in a library/castle combined setting. The level is centered around an easy globe puzzle which was fairly entertaining, but it's rather simple otherwise, with the exception of some wraiths and one long swimming sequence. A bit dark overall, but the level is so short that it can't really get too aggravating. I do wish someone would quieten down that incessant neighing though!" - Ryan (24-Jun-2017)
"Less than twenty minutes of raiding in a library setting, which looked reasonably well made from what I could see (it's very dark in places). Unlike the previous two levels from this builder, this is not a shooter, although you do get a couple of horsemen to deal with. Despite the frenzied background neighing, no actual horses appeared. Other than that, there's a couple of fire wraiths, a globe puzzle and a rather long swim to accomplish. There is a shotgun to be had, but you won't need it." - Jay (20-Jan-2016)
"What an annoying level with that horse sounds. It gave me the creeps!! Anyway, this was an easy level with lots of levers to pull, lots of doors to open and one good puzzle. Other than that it was boring." - Gonxii (22-Nov-2015)
"Why place horse neighs in a place without horses? It's really very nasty to hear that background sounds a lot of times. The level is short and dark; there's an error in the design so you can skip a good part of the gameplay, but the author's purpose was right to create a good puzzle. A couple of horsemen and some fire ghosts as enemies, there is a very long swim and I think too many switches to pull to be a short level. Enough flares and ammo, I missed some cameras when rising the blocks. Not bad the texturization, but a bit dismal. Playable anyway." - Jose (16-Jun-2015)
"Here we have a quick and easy raid without any big challenges or difficulties. The game play highlight is a long dive from one area to another. Other than that, there are some pots to shoot, two horsemen (without horses) to kill, a high wall to climb, a globe to push and some burner traps to avoid. The atmosphere could have been nice but there was a strange sound selection. I have no clue as to why there was this unnerving sound of a horse whinnying in certain areas of that game. I even looked at the other reviews just to make sure there wasn't anything wrong in my audio folder. The texturing looked decent and the lighting was nice but very dark, which actually was not too bad at all since Lara had tons of flares available. The end came sudden, as there was a whole area that looked like it could be explored but was blocked by an invisible wall and the level ended when Lara stepped through that first open door. It would be a nice level for a quick distraction if you were looking to play something during lunch break. Highly recommended only for horse lovers. (15 minutes, 0 secrets)" - Blue43 (19-May-2011)
"From now on I hate horses. And Cool King carries the guilt for it. There are three rooms in which with every step a horse neigh is to be heard. With every step!! And one must use these rooms several times!! I hate horse neigh!! I... ... sorry, probably I have to go in a sanitarium, coz I need a rest. But first I still write this Review. Lara has to go through various dark rooms, finds one dozen levers, makes two Horsemen flatly, shifts two globes, is irritated by three fire ghosts and is after just 20 minutes at the level end. If one refrains sometimes from the horse neigh, the level is quite ok. He is substantially built and textured. There are none camera tips, but that's not a problem, coz everything happens nearby. The riddles are easy to solve and there are enough flares for the dark rooms. Result: Partial a little bit irritatingly, but for the level hunger occasionally it goes. And now I go in the sanitarium and recover myself from the horse neigh" - Scottie (30-Apr-2009)
"This level is dark and spooky. I liked environment very much. Atmosphere was spoiled because I pushed the globe on right tile before I supposed too. You must follow the path. All fire tiles are marked with horse sound, which was very irritating. Fortunately this sound is only in a few rooms, so don't let you drag away from playing. You will see fire wraith and horseman, very easy to distinguish and enough room to fight - it's only two of them, no big fret. The challenge was water tunnel. You can't get lost there, still isn't very easy to get the air before you die. You must see it - it is very well done with spooky dark textures. In the end of game I saw two houses, one can be entered. The blue doors should be placed correctly, with static wall above them. I missed that detail. I think some textures are from Old Mill, I loved that level." - Oxy (10-Nov-2008)
"I thought this a good little level albeit too short. It's a library wad with extra textures added to make it dark and gloomy in places and definitely un-library looking. It's obvious from the start that a lot of switches will have to be pulled. Some old ideas are given a new flavour like the globe pushing in the first room. I liked the puzzle in the first knight room after the long swim. That crazy horse neighing was very funny the first two or three times I heard it then it started to drill at my brain and I had to turn the sound right down. A couple of fire wraiths are triggered with the switches but there's water nearby each time and a couple of knights that were easy to kill. And outside to a grass area. I too bumped into the invisible wall that prevented me from getting to that ladder but there's nothing to do there anyway. It's a pity the level was so short but it's also a tiny download so we can't complain." - CC (07-Mar-2004)
"This is Cool King's best level and is a pretty well-made little endeavor with good construction textures and lighting. But the gameplay really isn't up to much. You push a couple of globes; swim around; shoot a tinman run outside and it ends. And can't somebody shut up that bloody Horse?" - Orbit Dream (01-Dec-2003)
"Although this is a dark level I liked it. The flares are more than enough and it has an interesting puzzle with a globe. All the player needs is to find the switches that will raise the floor tiles to push the globe and therefore open other doors nearby so that finally you access the last area and finish the level. Two horsemen and wraiths are the enemies here but the horsemen were very easy to kill it took only a few shots with the pistols. As other reviewers wrote I couldn't climb the ladder in the final room because of a barrier. I wasn't very happy with the underwater maze but I managed without much difficulty. About twenty minutes of gameplay." - Kristina (20-Dec-2002)
"This was over before I knew it. Although pretty dark and the author provides you with plenty flares I liked it. Maybe because there were only a few wraiths and 2 tinmen. The atmosphere is really gloomy. There are some bugs though. Lara could stand in the water there was an invisible block so you couldn't explore (although by the looks of it there was no where to go. Finding levers that will raises blocks so you can do the globe puzzle. There is a breathtaking swim and the sound of the neighing horse in the main room can get on your nerve. 14-10-2002" - Gerty (19-Oct-2002)
"You get a lever for every minute you spend in this Wild Temple and yet this library mission has its appeal. Once you turned down the sound that is cause the constant neighing is utterly unnerving. This must be the ghost of the iron horse that -unfortunately- has disappeared from the premises. Instead you get a few wraiths and two tinmen one of which seemed more interested in bashing his head against the wall than to assault Lara. There is a long swim a nice moving globe puzzle and the rest are levers and jumpswitches. I liked the atmosphere as the textures are well chosen and applied with some care. There are some flaws in here like the invisible barriers near the end but let's not be picky here." - Dimpfelmoser (23-Aug-2002)
"For such a short level this has a great spooky atmosphere helped along not only by the dark lighting but by the monstrous neighing of an unseen horse maybe even a ghost horse. There is also a nice movable object puzzle a couple of horseman and fire sprites and a whole bunch of levers that all went together to make this a really cute but easy 20 minute level." - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"For me this was the best level of this author so far. Again only 43 rooms and about 15 minutes gameplay but this time the textures looked really good and the horse sound was kind of hilarious (or was that a bug?). There is a very long swim some planet pulling and pushing and a nice starry sky outside although it was sad that an invisible wall prevented me from exploring that house. Not sure where the temple was though." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"Two words. TOO DARK. Thankfully there were a heap of flares to be found so it wasn't that bad. There were a few simple puzzles an underwater maze of sorts a couple of horsemen but I never did find that horse that was making that goddam racket all the time. Anyone come across him at all? This is another 20 minutes level which this author seems to be so fond of. Not bad but naturally it could have been better (and with more light)." - Torry (21-Jun-2002)
"Nice level. It lasts almost 20 minutes but its puzzles are the find lever push it find another lever... In my levels I always thought on the invisible barrier to block Lara from impossible explorations but I actually never did it. The author did it on the level. Well it drops reality but that is one of the ways to prevent it. I would suggest high slopes instead. Good lighting and scaring horses neighing around but I actually never found them. Maybe they were the four apocalypse horses?" - Treeble (21-Jun-2002)
"In this short fifteen minute level Lara finds herself in a haunted Library and must find her way outside to the courtyard and then figure out how to open the exit door. She does this by pushing a few planets activating a number of switches and taking a long swim to another area - and another switch. The level is a bit dark but adds to the spooky atmosphere and makes shooting the horseman just a little bit harder. The sound of the horse was interesting when I first heard it but was way overdone - it would have been better if we only heard it a few times. You'll find plenty of shotgun ammo and flares lying about and don't forget to get the shotgun itself - I recommend shooting everything." - RaiderGirl (21-Jun-2002)
"Wild? Temple? What's so wild about this so-called temple? I found two horsemen and two fire-wraiths. That's not what I called wild. However there were a couple of horses somewhere and you never know what they were doing. It might have been something wild. You never get to meet them but that might be as good. Otherwise a level that's not too good but that might be worth playing if you don't have anything better to do." - Magnus (21-Jun-2002)
"This level surprised me with its new textures which were not bad. The lighting was too dark in some places but all in all there was more atmosphere than in the author's previous levels. But the gameplay is still too simple you only have to find a switch to open a door to find the next switch to open the next door ... But I liked the puzzle for which you had to rise floor squares to pull the planet on. In the end of this 15 minutes short level there was an invisible wall outside. Oh - and not to forget this terrible noise of a neighing horse throughout. I had to put down the sound volume otherwise I surely would have gone mad!" - Sheevah (21-Jun-2002)
"A library-based level but with a different texturing. I like these blue textures I think that some of them are new. Some tinmen and fire-sprites just to keep you busy for a while. The puzzles are ok and I like the underwater travel. The atmosphere is pretty good but the sound of the horse is a little annoying. A simple short and rather good level." - eRIC (21-Jun-2002)
