Outside area
Lara facing a pyramid. In three pools are
crocodiles and in one of them a small medipack. In the South end are closed doors, leading to the end of the level. Go West. At the center of the pyramid, hop into the opening and slide down.

The skeleton
Inside an alcove of the right wall is a
skeleton with a gun. Stand by the vases and let him smash the two vases here for you. He will do that if he shoots at you with grenades. If he doesn’t shoot grenades but bullets, hide around the corner, until he changes his ammo and shoots with grenades instead of bullets and place again Lara near the vases until those are smashed.
When it’s done, step on the pad tile in the corner to close the skeleton’s door as he is not useful anymore. (Don’t step on this square if the skeleton has not smashed the vases or you would be stuck for good).
Pick up the
Hand of written 1 and the torch which were hidden inside the vases.
Light the torch with one of the wall burners and go ahead. Throw down the torch for a while
and pull the floor-lever to open the entrance door. Pick up the torch again. As soon as you en
ter, a camera flyby shows a nice room with a pool and two other artefacts you will pick up later.

The labyrinth
The door closes behind you. Go right. There is ladder, leading back to the room with skeleton. No need to backtrack there via this ladder, the author has designed this in case you did not pick up the Hand or the torch. Continue and hop into a black corridor with hieroglyphs. You can notice a receptacle
for a gem in the right wall, but it is useless, there is no gem to find in this level. Don’t go down ahead with the torch, you would not be able to climb back and you’d have to reload a savegame then. Go left into the black labyrinth which fortunately is very small. You will meet
a
mummy on the way and farther on a block lowers on approach.

The big room with pillars The beginning
In the next room, another well made camera flyby starts, showing this big room with pillars. One has spikes upon it.
There are 3 gates at the other end of the room (South). Your goal is to open the right gate in the South-West corner.
Firstly make a couple of jumps on the pillars along the East wall. Notice the next block ahead with
spikes. From this point, different ways to proceed are possible. I will describe two of them.

The big room with pillars Way 1
Jump to the closest South-West pillar, then jump to the closest South-East pillar
along the East wall, where a different texture on the wall is. The left gate opens.
Face South-West and make a running jump to reach the next pillar. Another running jump
to reach the alcove with the medipack in the South wall. Pick up the
big medipack , this is SECRET 1 . From the alcove, make a running jump to the wooden ledge in the corner where the left gate is open. (you can also make a standing jump to the wooden ledge where the central gate is, and jump from block to block to eventually reach the wooden ledge where the left gate is). When you land on this ledge, several pillars are lowered in the room, you can’t backtrack anymore. Enter by the open gate and look at the room now : some pillars are raised and the spikes are deactivated. Make jumps on pillars along the left wall to return on the pillar with the different texture on the wall (the one that opened the left gate earlier). Then jump and grab the next higher block by the wall where the spikes were before. There is also a different texture on the wall above this pillar. Standing on this pillar opens the central gate. To go there you have the choice : Either you jump/grab the higher pillar nearby, jump from pillar to pillar, then jump to the lower pillar in front of the central gate, and a last jump to the central gate.
Or you can also return by the pillars along the East wall to the wooden ledge (where the left gate is) and from there, make an accurate jump to the alcove (where the big medipack was) then a standing jump to the wooden ledge by the central gate.

The big room with pillars Way 2
Jump to the closest South-West pillar. Face East and jump to grab the pillar with
spikes.
Pull up, the central gate opens (Lara looses some health in the process) and make a lateral jump on the left side to land on the previous pillar along the East wall. Jump again to the closest South-West pillar. Make a running jump to the next pillar (South) and another one to reach the alcove with the medipack in the South wall. Pick up the
big medipack , this is SECRET 1.
Make a standing jump to the wooden ledge where the central gate is.

The big room with pillars The end
Enter the central gate. Look at the room and see that a new pillar is raised in the South-West corner. Jump to this pillar, then to the wooden ledge where the right gate is in the South-West corner. Climb the ladder. At the top, the right gate opens. You can go down, enter by the gate,
and climb the second ladder or climb the block near by. Jump over a sloped block, slide and walk on a skeleton which is deeply asleep. Jump over the next sloped block and turn right in
a corridor with a little pool.

The corridors
Run down the next corridor. When you are half through, a
spiked ball begins to roll down, run and jump over the hole at the end. When the path is clear, go down into the hole and pick a small medipack : this is SECRET 2. Climb the wall (although it does not look climbable) and continue your way down the corridor to eventually arrive in the main pool room but from a different angle. Pick up the Eye piece Turn left and follow your way in long red corridors until you see a door. Turn right into a room with a fountain. Notice the closed door. Dive into
the fountain, and into the opening, follow the underwater corridors (choosing left or right does not matter), swimming very low to avoid
bird blades. Pull up in a room
with a floor_lever. Pull it to open the door in the fountain room. Swim back there. Enter
the open door and climb the ladder. Backflip near the top on a beautiful glass floor. Pick up the second
Eye piece. Pull the floor_lever at the end of the room to open the door located before the fountain room. Climb back down to the fountain room,
and enter by the newly open door in another red corridor. Follow your way until you are
back again in the pool room but from a different angle again. Pick up the
Hand of written 2. Dive into the pool, as a gate is open now. Swim in. Swim until you pull up in a room with sarcophagus and 4 mummies. Go ahead into the next room, combine the two Eye pieces and place the Eye of Horus. Run in the next greenish corridors, beware of a hole with spikes though, until you reach a room where young Lara can stand upon a block and see what she will look like 15 years later. Doing this or not does not seems to change anything to the gameplay. So, continue your way in the greenish corridor until a crossroads where you can place the two Hands of the Written to open a door in the water near by.

Outside area
Dive, swim around the open doors, you are back in one of the three pools at the beginning
of the level. Go South, as those doors are open now. Enter. The level ends when Lara
jumps over the slope ahead.
