LEVEL ONE - JUNGLE
One Secret
Start the level with
Lara high up on a waterfall and watch the flyby which shows you the areas you
are about to explore and also gives hints where to go!
Drop down into the
pool below then swim until Lara is taken by the currant into a second pool.
Climb out of the water and head over to the east wall, climb up and at the top
face north towards the rocks, jump to the sloped rocks and shimmy left, keep
going round the corner then pull up and do a back flip to the wall behind you.
Now head south along the wall and at the end look right and down in the trees
to see ladder and climb down to the branches below. Head East and you will
eventually come to a dark passage in the wall, go through and climb the block
the head forwards and jump the slope to reach a SMP on the other side.
Return to the ladder
and climb to the top then head over the branches to the East, look slightly
left over to wall and see a wall ladder near the top of the waterfall. Take a
long run and jump to the small triangular rock near the ladder then jump forwards
to grab the ladder. Climb round the wall to the right and keep going round
until you can climb up higher, climb up until you can climb left then drop from
the ladder and slide down the slope catching the edge of the rocks. Shimmy to
the left then pull up and back flip to a tree branch behind you.
Shoot the monkey if he
attacks (sometimes he does or he pushes you off the branch) then use the lever
at the west wall to open a door in the river bank below. Collect some FLARES
from the North balcony before diving into the pool below.
The current will take
Lara into another pool and the new door in the west wall will be ahead of you,
so swim through and climb out onto the river bank.
Go to the North wall,
where the dark green foliage is, and run through it to slide down into a new
pool area, and then climb out as soon as you can and kill the deadly fish that
was waiting for you. Now look over into the dark west area, you need to find
and bring a key back here so make a note of this location then nip over to the
north side of the jungle. Swim under the fallen tree branch at the North wall
and take yourself out to the top of a high water fall.
Swan dive from the top
of the waterfall into the river below then head North up steam. Keep swimming
all the way to near the end of the river then look left in the river bank for a
tunnel to swim through, go through and climb out at the end and enter a small
room then head SE into a dark passage. Go through and drop down at the end into
a dark passage, then go through and climb the ladder at the end to take you up
to the river bank.
There is a door to
your right that’s for later, and a way to the left, which is where you need to
go now, so head along the river bank and jump up to the green block at the West
wall then face North and jump to catch the sloped rock that’s slightly to your
right, shimmy right and climb up then jump East to the green slope, slide and
catch the slope then shimmy right and pull up, slide and jump to the right so
you land on the tree branch to your right. Notice there is a closed door in the
South wall and to the left of it is a dark passage, go to the dark passage but
remember that closed door for later.
Go through the passage
and at the end of balcony use the lever to open a door below, drop from the
wall into a small yard area below then light a flare and look in the SW corner
for a push in the South wall. Move it out to reveal a passage but there’s no
need to go through just yet and there’s still some block moving to do, so take
the block and move it through the door in the North wall, move it through to
the next room and place it on the odd floor tile by the ladder. When the block
is in place you will hear a hatch open and see a view of the dark passage where
you moved the block from so head back there and go through to the end of the
passage. You come to some fallen debris and it appears you can’t get past, you
need to crouch and crawl to the left of the debris to get through to the next
room and there you will find the newly opened hatch.
Go down the hatch and
find yourself in a beautiful Temple room. First go to ground and see a closed
door in the West wall, this room holds the Gold Key but you can’t get it just
yet, so first nip up to the right of the door into the small path left of the
tree and use the wall lever to open a hatch back at the river bank (this was
the door you saw when you jumped in the branches earlier) now head out of the
Temple room and go back through the debris passage by using the crawl function
like before. Go straight ahead and back out to the river bank. Go left like you
did before and use the block to get up to the higher area where that new door
is now open. Jump over and enter the new door then at the end of the passage do
a safety drop down into a passage below. Go through the passage and arrive on
the upper ledges of the Temple room.
Head over to the zip
line at the South wall and use it to get over to the West ledges, drop off and
jump up to the small temple room then drop down to the doorways of the small
room. Don’t go into the room as you need to find two push blocks in the West
wall and take then through to the room where you need to place them on odd
floor tiles at the West wall to open the Gold Key door below. Once this is done
you can take a trip down to ground and enter the North door. Carefully go
through the room and use your crawl function to dodge the poison darts, take
the SHOTGUN AMMO - SMP from either side of the room then go take the GOLD
KEY which opens a hatch back outside in the jungle.
Leave the Temple room
now and head back up the hatch to get back to the push block room. Go to the SE
corner of the room and beware as a snake is hiding in the grass, kill it then
walk left of it and drop down into a hole in the ground. Make your way along
the tunnel to the end where you will find a block in the wall to pull out, move
it once to reveal a lever outside in the river bank wall then go back out of
the tunnel and make your way back to the river bank again.
Jump into the water
and swim right, swim a short way along and you will come to a fallen tree in
the water, look right of it and see the newly open hole in the river bank. Swim
in and use the under water lever then return up steam to the tunnel you first
swam through but don’t go back through, look right of it and see another tunnel
to swim into. Go through and climb out at the end into enter a new room.
Go to the north wall
and use the lever to raise a block in the centre of the room, climb up then
climb again to the upper balcony, look left for some FLARES, then jump
across to the East balcony. Go right and pull up into the South wall crawl
space the head through to the upper areas of the jungle.
Remember this place as
you have to return here shortly and just need to take a short trip down to the
river bank, so slide down head left along the river, go through the dark rocky
tunnels and two tigers will attack, kill them then head on. Keep going until
you come to a fallen tree across the water, jump up and over the tree then look
in the dark area to you left for a SMP by the tree. Now go back to the
crawl space area and get ready to take a trip over the jungle canopy.
From the crawl space
area face out over the jungle to the south and look slightly to your right at a
sloped rock, you need to do a tricky jump to it so Lara lands and slides down
then grabs the edge, shimmy left until you can climb up then jump over to the
tree branch and head Eastwards to the end of the branch. Jump up onto the
branch to your right, now go left and jump to the next branch, go to the end
and do a long run and jump over to the stony grey and green ledge. Keep heading
left and make your way around the path until you can’t go any further. Now jump
right and onto another tree branch then make you way to the end and look across
the water to see a lever on the wall of the central building. This is where you
need to go now, so, face NE and see a slope at the bottom of a tree trunk, jump
over and use the small slope to slide onto a safe tree ledge then jump up to
the branch on your left, walk to the end and do a long running jump with a grab
to catch the next branch ahead and slightly to the right of you. Now make your
way to the end of the branch and find the higher slope to enable you to jump
across to the lever ledge. Use the lever and open a trap door at the top of the
ladder in the room where you moved the block to.
Jump back into the
water and swim back up the river, re enter the left tunnel and make your way to
the room where you moved the block to. Climb the ladder to the small room above
then make you way outside. Go left and use the zip line to take you to the
lower balconies across the water. Climb up and shimmy round the debris to get
up to the balcony where the monkey is, he won’t harass you too much so no need
to kill him.
Go to the South wall
then turn and see a ladder on the tree to your left, use it to climb down to
ground then light a flare to see a push block in the South wall. Push it
through and find SECRET ONE - LMP - FLARES then return to the river
bank.
Climb back up the
ladder then go left at the top, you can see the top of the water fall from here
and that’s where you need to get to, so, jump the rocks and slide down so Lara
catches the edge of the rock, shimmy right until you can climb up to the top of
the water fall then make your way back through to the previous room by diving
under the fallen tree.
Head over to the NW
corner and beware as a tiger attacks, kill it then find the Gold Key Hole in
the alcove to the right. Use the Gold Key to open the exit door nearby then run
through to end the level.
LEVEL TWO - JUNGLE
TEMPLE
There are no secrets
in this level
Run through the
passage and drop into the water, notice the closed red door in the South wall,
it’s a timed door you will be using soon but for now you need to swim through
the tunnel in the West wall and enter a large water chamber. Swim down and
through the lower East wall tunnel and make your way to the end where you will
find an under water lever to open a hatch back out in the chamber floor. Go
back out and swim up to the top of the chamber, go through the top East wall
tunnel to get back to the first water room and grab some air.
Go back into the
chamber and head straight down to the bottom, collect some FLARES by the
hatch then swim down the hole and use the timed under water lever. Quickly swim
to the top again and enter the top East wall tunnel, swim round to the right
and make it through the timed door before it closes, its quite tight I might
add!
You are now in a
second water chamber so swim up and grab some air then move yourself as a
Crocodile is lurking near by. Swim down and through the central east wall
tunnel then at the end on the left you’ll find an under water lever to open a
hatch in a room near by. Swim out into the chamber again and enter the top East
wall tunnel, at the end you can swim up to the right and climb out into a small
room (try and get Crocodile to follow so you can finally pick him off from
here)
In the new room go
round to the right and find a wall lever to use which will open a hatch in
another area. Drop back into the water but before you leave nip into the West
wall tunnel and collect a SMP.
Now go back out to the
chamber and swim through the lower South wall tunnel, swim out into a wide
water tunnel then swim right and go all the way to the end, swim up through the
hole in the ceiling and climb out into a new room. Watch the cut scene of two
Africana’s arriving then you will have to shoot them.
Take the TORCH
from the pedestal by the water hole then go down the mud slide and light the
torch on the flame. Take the torch back up to the top but save before
you light that wall sconce because this activates a timed door at the bottom of
the mud slide and if you don’t make it you can’t re activate the door, you will
be trapped in here with the wraith who will eventually kill you! So, face the
mud slide and light the wall sconce then quickly get down the mud slide and
through the timed door on the right before it closes. The wraith is still
following so run through the passage and jump up into the next room, go
straight across the room and light the wall sconce by the door to open hatch
through the passage to your right. Go through into the passage and jump into
the water to kill that pesky wraith.
Climb out and go back
into the room to have a look at a lever on the NW pillar, there is a burning
tile below it so the next mission is to turn off that flame so you can use the
lever.
Go back into the water
and swim back out into the chamber, head through the top East wall tunnel and
go back to the small room where you killed the crocodile from. Use the lever
again to extinguish the flame below the lever.
Now swim back out to
the chamber and through the top West wall tunnel to get back to the lever room,
use the lever and a new hatch is now open back in the wide water tunnel, so
swim back out into the chamber and through the lower South wall tunnel again,
this time swim left to the end of the tunnel and go up through the hole in the
ceiling.
Climb out into the new
room and head through the West passage, go left and drop down the ladder then
go through the passage until you arrive at a wide hallway where an Africana
will attack, kill him then carefully make your way across the poisoned dart
hallway to the other side then head through the passage and jump over the gap
at the end. Now turn and drop back to slide down a small slope, grab the edge
of the slope then see a hang lever to use below you. Watch as another hatch
opens above the lava room then drop down to ground level. Nip over the ledges
and go round to the outer the East wall where you will find a ladder to get you
back to the top of the room.
From the top of the
ladder jump back over to the alcove like you did before but this time turn
around and see you can jump over and catch another ladder above the passage,
climb up to the top and off to the right.
Catch the monkey swing
and make you way over the West side of the room dodging the fire emitters as
you go. Swing round to the right when you reach the West wall then drop down
onto the ledge. Head through the passage to your left and go down the ladder
but don’t drop off at the bottom!!! Climb near to the end of the ladder then
you can back flip to a passage behind you. There’s a lever to use here to raise
some blocks back out in the lava room so do this then jump back to the ladder.
Head up to the top and back flip off to the upper ledge, walk out onto the
ledge and go left as far as you can go, turn and climb down the ladder to get
down to the midway ledges. Head East along the ledge and look right to see the
newly risen blocks, jump over and enter the alcove then jump over to the wall
ladder and climb up. Save here as this is a bit tricky! When you use the lever
you open a door below but you also release two fire wraiths, so you need to get
to ground as soon as possible and here’s the best way. Quickly jump over from
the lever and drop down to blocks, to your right of the blocks is a slope so
drop down to it and then do a safety drop to ground, you will land on the
ground right where the newly opened door is so can run through and drop into
the water to kill the wraiths. Climb back out and find the SHOTGUN on
the ground near to a skeleton then return through the new door and drop into
the water again.
Swim down to the blue
pyramid and go through the East wall tunnel left of the chain, find the crawl
space to the left and swim through the tunnel to the end, swim up where you see
the ladder and enter a room with a wheel in the centre. Swim through the wheel
room then swim through to another, keep going through until you arrive at a
third wheel room then swim up the hole where the ladder is and use the wall
lever to drain the rooms below.
Go down the ladder and
to the wheel, push it once counterclockwise so that the obelisk needle is
pointing out of the door in the room below. Now go through the West passage and
into the next wheel room. Push the next wheel twice clockwise, then go through the
North passage to the final wheel room and push the wheel once clockwise. Now
all three obelisks are aligned in the rooms below and you can head back to the
central chamber via the hole at the East wall.
Once you are back at
he blue pyramid chamber use the chain at the East wall to activate the hammer
within one of the small obelisk rooms, this causes a reaction and the blue
pyramid breaks to reveal THE SILVER KEY AND THE SUN DISK.
Take your items from
the central pillar then nip up into the doorway of the North obelisk room to
collect some SHOTGUN AMMO.
Now travel back
through the East wall door by the chain to get back the last wheel room, use
the wall lever up the ladder again to flood the rooms below then swim back to
the central chamber and up to catch some air. Now climb out at the West door
and head over to the outer East wall where you will find that ladder to climb
back up to the top of the lava room.
Go forwards through
the passage and make your way back through the poison dart hallway, continue on
until you arrive at the water hole then drop into the water and swim down into
the wide water tunnel. Swim to the West to the end of the tunnel then swim up
the hole in the ceiling, climb out into the mud slide room then slide down to
use the Silver Key on the lock at the bottom.
Go through the new
door and through the passages until you come to a hole in the floor, take some FLARES
from the alcove on your left then drop down the hole and slide down the slopes
to end the level.
LEVEL THREE – THE SEARCH
Two Secrets
Slide into the next
level and lose some health as you land in your first area.
Climb the NE rocks to the stone door which will open as you approach. Go
through and at the end of the passage kill the African guy and pick up the SMP
he drops. Head through and collect the gold key hidden in the bush near
to the gem door then go up onto the rocks at the SW corner and use them to jump
into the passage in the west wall, this will take you back to the first area.
Kill the tiger that’s
waiting for you then go south and into another small rocky area, here you can
take a dip in the water under the waterfall and collect a SMP before
heading over to the bamboo door. Use the key to open it then make your way to a
new room.
It’s high above a red
room which holds a Star for collecting later! First head left and jump over to
the South balcony, jump over again with a left turn to clear the wall to land
on the next balcony then drop down one level to find a timed lever, this raises
a block in the NW corner of the room! Flip the lever then head right and climb
the ledge which then causes a timed hatch to rise near the timed block, run and
make the hatch before it drops then take a standing jump up onto the block
before it lowers and climb up into the passage above, head through the passage
to a new area.
Go into the green
crawl space to your left and take a look around, you can mark your way for the
next task as this is a timed run and it’s handy to not only kill the bird that
shows up but also to know exactly where you need to go from the timed lever
which comes next. So, find the tree to your left and use the high ground to
jump up and catch the branch above, jump over to the paved ledge and kill the
bird that shows up then stand on the corner tile and face south, standing on
the edge of the tile and to the very left you can jump up and grab the branch
above then make your way over the branches to the right until you come to a new
room. Make a note of the closed stone door in the South wall because that’s the
Secret door you’re going to be racing to next! Drop down through the tree
branches and collect a SMP on one of the lower branches, go back to
ground and through the crawl space to the previous area.
Go to the East wall
and go right, there’s a crawl space here so nip through but take care to crawl
left before you stand or Lara will slide off the edge of the ledge. Jump over
to the lever but save before you use it as you now have to make it up through
those trees and into the timed door to collect SECRET TWO - SHOTGUN AMMO -
UZIES - UZI AMMO x 2 - LMP.
Ok, you have the
Secret so leave the room and see a lever on the pillar just outside the Secrets
door, also see a closed door at the West wall, this is also a timed door and
your way will be hampered by spike traps, so look at the ceiling where the
plants hang down and mark the spike traps by these, use the lever and get
through the door to collect SHOTGUN and CROWBAR.
Return to ground and
head back out via the crawl space then go straight ahead and until you come to
a rocky ending, slide down to a closed bamboo door then move the faced block in
the South wall and place it on the coloured tile by the door. A block will rise
behind you and enable you to use a hang lever to open the door.
Go through and drop into
the water, as you swim into the new area a crocodile will attack so get out and
shoot it then head over to the building. In the wall to the left is a crawl
space, in the middle is a green door, and to the right is a stone door, you
need to take the green door route but as you approach it you will notice its
actually a hole in the floor, so drop down and enter the new room below.
Head East and enter a
room with a tall pink pillar then climb the blocks at the SW corner and jump to
catch the top of the pink pillar, from here do a run and jump to the hang lever
on the North wall then drop to ground. Head out of this room and make your way
back to where you came down into this area, go forwards until you come to a
pool then from the edge do some practice on a long run and jump over to the
right side of the pool without landing in the water because you will have to do
this on a timed run shortly and hitting that water will take up valuable time.
Once over head through the hole in the wall and go left, nip up onto the ledge
to your left then jump and grab the upper ledge. Climb into the next room and
go left to find the block you just raised with the hang lever and also notice
in this room a high pillar with a Jungle Star on it. Climb up and use the 2nd
hang lever then go back to the pink pillar room. A new block has risen at the
South wall and you can now climb to a timed lever, so use it then race to the
star room before the block at the North wall lowers. Jump up and use the 3rd
hang lever to raise another block under the star pillar then climb up and take
the 1st JUNGLE STAR.
Return to ground and
head back to the pink pillar room. I hope you are ready for another bit of
timed fun?
This really is a hard
case, and starts by using the lever on the pink pillar to raise a block on the
top of the pillar, use the lever then turn to the right, jump up to the corner
block then climb up the second block, you need to climb just right of the
second block and then turn to face South, turn slightly left and jump up to grab
the alcove above and climb up, roll quickly then immediately do a run jump over
to catch the risen block on top of the pink pillar. Get up and face left to
climb up into the passage above then make your way back to the outside area.
Go right and climb into
the crawl space in the wall then go through to a new area.
There’s a black door to your right and a green hallway leading down to a slope,
you can open the black door now if you want to with the crowbar but there’s no
need to enter there yet. Go straight on and down the green slope then go left
into a short passage, at the end go up the path and notice a Silver Key hole to
your left which you will be using later on also take note of the ladder to your
left.
Head into the cave and
on the right see a timed lever on a block, this opens a floor hatch over at the
wall behind the lever block, Use the lever then dash down the hole and crawl
through to enter a new passage, go down the slope and at the end use the crawl
space to climb out into a red room. Kill the waiting Ahmet then take the 2nd
JUNGLE STAR. from the East wall, use the lever to your right to raise a
central pillar with a ladder on it to take you to the top of the room. Jump to
the East balcony then go to the end, as before, to raise the timed hatch again,
get over to the NW block, which is no longer timed, and climb up to the passage
above. Make your way back to the water/crocodile area and go to the crawl space
which will bring you back to the long green hallway.
Enter the black door
to your right and make your way to the end of the room where you will come to a
poll, drop in and swim through the watery cave until you are near the end, swim
up through a hole in the ceiling then climb out to a new area.
Go into the building
here to find the place to use the two Jungle Stars which will raise two blocks
in the central path, now you can move a block from one end to the other and
open a stone door nearby which holds the SILVER KEY. Return to the water
hole and swim through avoiding the fish as you go, climb out into the black
door room then go back to the green hallway. Go down the hallway and re enter
the cave area, just past the ladder to your left is the lock for the Silver key
so use it to open a hatch above the ladder then make your way up to a tiny cave
room above. Beware in here as fire tiles and spike traps scatter the room! Make
your way left to collect the GOLD KEY from the corner and get a camera
shot of where to use it. Leave the tiny cave and go back to the black door room
in the green hallway then go down the hole to your left and collect some SHOTGUN
AMMO, use the key on the lock at the east wall and a hatch opens behind
you, go down and at the end of the short passage find a lever, but beware as
this next task is a hard one so save before you use the lever.
Drop through the hatch
that opens beneath you and a spike wall is almost immediately on you, I found
no time to get up and run so I did a roll as I landed then back flipped with a
turn to face in the right direction (I’m told by George that if you’re on full
health you can just get away with a straight fall and run) sprint over to the
lever at the South wall and if you’re quick enough collect SECRET THREE -
SHOTGUN AMMO from the ground before you use the lever. Drop down the newly
opened hatch and take the TEMPLE GEM from the pedestal in this new room,
a camera shot will remind you where you have to use it.
A door will open in
the Temple Stone room so go through and take a swim through another watery
cave, this time there is a crocodile and a deadly fish to avoid so be quick and
head West then divert slightly and swim SW where you can find a hole in the
ceiling to swim up, Climb out at the East ledge and head through the room to
arrive back at the green hallway again.
Go straight across and
back into the cave area then make your way to the top, find a crawl space in
the NE corner and head through, climb down at the end to arrive back at the
upper balconies of the red room. Jump to the central ladder pillar and then
jump over to the East balcony ahead, go left then jump to the doorway in the
East wall to get back to the beginning of the level.
Head over to the
waterfall then take a left; climb up and re enter the stone door at the NE
corner then head down the passage and kill the waiting tiger. Go straight over
this area and use the Temple Stone on the door at the East wall then go through
the door and enter a new room.
Go to the right and
use the blocks to jump down to ground, make a note of the ceiling ladder above
the blocks as you will use that later, but for now just head over to the SE
corner and go through to the next area.
Take the LMP
from in front of the stone door then go over to the deep dark pit. The ground
below is lethal so use your binoculars to look down and into the South wall to
see a door in the rocks, that’s where you need to go now, so turn and drop back
on the pit slope then slide down and catch the edge, hoist up then back flip
with a twist and turn to catch the ledge behind you. Pull up into a passage and
the door opens for you, so make your way through to the next room and kill the
African guy who shows up.
Take care in this
place as the floor is spike trapped in places but you can judge where they are
from the green plants hanging from the roof. Also take note of the pedestal to
your left and just beyond that is a door which leads to a lava/slope room.
Carefully go collect the TORCH from the bush to your right and leave it
outside the lava/slope door, go up into the passage and enter the lava/slope
room then jump the left side slopes to the lever at the other side of the room.
This next sequence is
a rather fun timed run but is also a tricky one, so this is how I did it with
only a second to spare. Use the timed lever then jump the other slopes to get
back over the room, drop down into the passage and collect your torch which you
should have left just outside the door, jump to the pedestal where a fire is
now burning and quickly light your torch before the fire subsides, don’t get
too close to the fire or Lara will catch light. Ok, that’s over… phew, mean
George!!!!
Now you can light the
floor lamp by the lava/slope room door and leave (you don’t need the torch now)
via the North wall ledge to get back to the pit area.
See in the NW corner a
block has risen for you to use a lever, use it and go back to the first area
but don’t try to get up onto the block to your left as you enter the room
because it’s impossible and if you go near the block you will lower it and have
to use the lever again! So just run over to the blocks below the monkey swing
and climb up, swing over to the risen block then jump into the alcove to find
the zip line, grab hold and slide down to finish the level.
LEVEL FOUR – DISCOVERY
One Secret
Slide down with
pistols to the ready as you will be met by two tigers, a bird and a wild boar.
Go over to the NW area
and enter the door, run straight through until you come to another area with a
water pool then keep going to the far wall where you can enter a small door
that takes you into a passage. Make your way through the passages until you
arrive at a large pool room where most of the action will take place.
There is a broken path
in the pool which you need to join up by raising blocks, this will allow you to
move a block along it and so place it on white face tiles scattered on the
path. This will then activate various things which we will come to later, but
also notice the fire tiles on the path, these will have to be dealt with as
well but all will be revealed as we go along.
From the entrance of
this room, go the edge of the pool and look down into the water, you will see a
pink glow on the pool floor and this is where you need to swim down to. Face
the east wall of the pool and see to the left and right are two crawl spaces,
swim through both and use the underwater levers to raise two blocks in the
pathway but beware as two killer fish will show up, so nip out and pick them
off from the safety of the path then head over to the south wall.
Jump up into the
alcove and collect some SHOTGUN AMMO – LMP then make your way over to
the SW corner. See the push block standing on the path and also a wall lever up
in the alcove nearby, go use the lever to raise your next block then nip down
and move the push block towards the fire tile, stop here as you need to turn
that fire off to proceed, so head over to the NE corner of the room and look in
the north wall alcove for a brown floor tile, standing on this will turn off
all fire tiles on the path but if you stand on a brown floor tile on the path
you will ignite those tiles again, so if you make that mistake you will have to
head back to that brown tile in the alcove and start all over.
Ok fire tiles are now
off so go back to the push block and move it along the path, you will
eventually move it over a block you raised with one of the under water levers
and once over you can pull the block onto a white face tile at the end of the
path, this will make your next block in the path rise so keep moving the block
until you can’t go any further.
Now you have to go
raise a few more blocks, so head over to the centre of the room to where the
path makes a kind of square, there’s a fire tile, two brown tiles and a face
tile, in the middle is a water hole, drop down and collect a SILVER KEY
then swim out via the crawl space. Swim right a little way until you can climb
up to get back onto the path.
Go to the NW corner
and see in the north wall an alcove with a silver key hole on the right. Use
the Silver Key here to raise your next block then return and move the block on
to the face tile to the east. You will now get a view of a door opening back at
the beginning of the level so get back there and head over to the SE corner
then enter the newly opened door in the south wall.
Head through and over
the bamboo bridge, enter the next door ahead, in the next room go straight over
to the alcove in the south wall and look left to find a crawl space. Make your
way through and at the end find yourself in a rocky room with a brown rock
structure in the middle. You need to take care here as spike traps are active,
you can judge them by looking at the ceiling for hanging plants, but also two
crocodiles are waiting so be ready to pick them off. Head west through the room
until you come to a small pool then go left and see a closed door up in the
rocky wall, climb up to the door which will open for you and head through to
another new room, and the door will close behind you trapping you in here with
a cut scene of four doors opening. The now open doors have released four
African baddies so you can pick up the SHOTGUN near by if you have time
and also some AMMO at the south side of the room. Once the African are
gone one will drop a LMP and another will drop an ORNATE KEY,
take it and use it on the lock at the west wall then enter the new door, inside
you will find the JUNGLE STAR. Go to the right of closed entrance door
and find the wall lever to open the door and then head back to the water/path
room.
Go back at the main
room you can head over to the SE corner of the room and find the receptacle for
the Gold Star, place it to raise another block in the path then go move the
block onto the next face tile next to the small water hole where you retrieved
the silver key. Another block will rise so you can now move the push block
further along north and place it on the next face tile available. You will now
see a new door open which is also back at the beginning of the level, so yes
you need to head back there now and on entering the area head south and through
a small gorge in the rocks, up to your right you can see the new open door and
to get there you have to take the rocks to your left and jump up one level,
then face the door and make a long run and jump across to the other side of the
small gorge, now simply make the jumps up and over to the new door. Go through
the passage and at the end climb up and out into a large jungle area.
This is lovely and you
can explore if you like but there’s nothing to find here so head over to the SW
corner and find a doorway to take you into another wooded area. Watch the cut
scene then go to the first tree ahead of you, you can see it has a branch
leading off to the right; you can stand on the high ground under the branch and
jump up to grab it, then climb up and walk to the end of the branch facing east.
Now stand one jump space back from the tree trunk and do a standing jump up to
the upper branch to your left, climb up and head to the NW branch then see in
the north wall an alcove to jump into. We are going for the secret now and in
this next area a few birds are going to show up so be prepared!
Ok, so from the alcove
jump to the branch ahead of you then jump over to the North braches, make your
way East then go right, continue on until you can’t go any further, now face
out East and do a straight jump forward to drop down through the trees, you
will land on a branch below which holds SECRET FOUR - UZI – 2 x AMMO.
Turn around after picking up the secret and jump to another branch behind you,
then get across to the stone structure in the middle of the first wooded area
and head back through the alcove in the wall to the waterfall room.
Stay on the upper
branches and jump to the SW branch, now take a running jump over to the central
grey ledge and go to the South side so you are facing the waterfall.
Either side of the water fall are two crawl spaces in the wall, you will be
going back and forth between them via the shimmy gap which runs from crawl
space over the water fall and to the other crawl space, as you landed on this
sledge you also raised a block below the left crawl space which will all become
clear in a while.
Take the left one
first and jump down onto the green pillar, now drop back and shimmy left until
you can climb up into the left crawl space, crawl through to the room and find
the face block to your right, pull it out twice then place it to one side in
the room, go into the passage and push the face block on the right once, now go
out via the crawl space and shimmy round to the right room. Move all three face
blocks in the East wall out and place then in the centre of the room, then go
back into the passage and pull the block at the end into the passage twice.
Leave the room and go back to the left room by dropping down from the crawl
space, there’s a SMP to collect where you drop down and you can use that
risen block below the left crawl space to pull up into the left room. Go into
the passage and find a lever has been revealed in the alcove to your left, use
it and watch the cut scene of the final block in the path raising then head
back down to the jungle.
Return to the
water/path room via the north wall door and move the block to its final face
tile on the path. You will now see a cut scene of an under water hatch open.
Make your way over the SE corner of the pool and look below the small ledge
with a plant on for the newly opened hatch. Swim down and to the east, a
crocodile will attack but not much you can do about that, so quickly head down
to the bottom of the watery cave and find the under water lever on the far east
pillar to open a ceiling hatch above the west pillar nearby. Swim up and climb
out of the hole and emerge into a small cave type area, collect the SMP
at your feet then hop up onto the south ledge, continue on then jump to your
left but don’t go up to the right as it’s spike trapped! As you approach the
new room take care as another spike trap will be activated so look for the
ceiling pants to mark your way.
Below in the new room
the floor is spike and lava trapped so you need to be careful at all times!
Make your way over to the T shaped paths in the centre of the room and from
there take a running jump and catch the wall ladder above the fire tile to the
right, climb up and make you way to the end of this ledge then take a running
jump with a left turn round the wall to get over to the South wall ledge. Look
on this ledge for the TORCH then take it over to the North wall and
light it on the flame. Go over to the East wall and use the torch to light the
rope then watch as the boulder crashes through a hatch at the bottom of the
path.
Go down the hole and
take the JUNGLE GEM from the room below then go back to the ladder and
make your way up again. Jump to the South wall ledge again then jump over to
the next ledge where you can now use the Temple Gem to open the door at the
East wall nearby. Jump down and go through the new door then run through the
hallway to end the level.
LEVEL FIVE – JUNGLE
LAKE
One Secret
Draw guns and run to
the end of the room, a door opens and a Raptor attacks so kill it then head
through the door, collect the PORTAL KEY from the passage then use it on
the lock round the corner to open the door into the next area, head on through
to the outside and take a look into the lava pit where you will see a small
water pool below, you can’t get in there yet though as an invisible hatch
covers it so head over the bridge and approach the East wall door which will
open for you.
Go through and see a
lever in the alcove to your left then head into the room and see a second wall
lever at the East wall, this is timed! First collect some SHOTGUN AMMO
from the right hand alcove then use the timed lever to open the water hole in
the lava pit, two fire wraiths show up so nip over to the NW corner and use the
second lever to open the door out of this room, sprint across the bridge and
take a long running jump over the lava pit and into the water hole.
A Sea Medusa is
waiting for you so search the floor of the watery chamber for the REVOLVER
then quickly swim into the East wall and go round to find an underwater lever
to open the door in the north wall. Swim through the door and climb out at the
end of the passage into a new room.
Take the LASER
SIGHT from the block then go to the edge of the pit, look through to the
next room and see in an alcove to the right is a ball to shoot which raises a
hatch on the North wall, jump to the hatch and climb into the next room.
Be careful in here and
keep to the left of the room or you might get spiked! Go to the end of the room
and see a closed door to your left, you will use that later but for now go
right and over the two bamboo bridges, you will come to a bamboo door which
will open as you approach, go through and enter a new room.
This is a large room
with five closed doors, three at the North wall and two at the South. Go down
into the room and over to the North side to find five levers which open those
five doors, you don’t need to enter the north left door until last as that’s
where you will place the four stars you are about to gather.

to do this…

Central North Door
Drop down into the
passage then go either left or right to enter the main area, beware in here as
the room is littered with spike traps and the ceiling swords. Go to the North
wall and take the 2nd STAR, then drop down into the next room, don’t go
wandering into the room or you’ll disturb a skeleton. Look each side of the
North wall and see two timed levers to raise a block and open a ceiling hatch
in the SE corner of the room. Use the right lever first then side flip twice to
use the left lever then sprint to the risen block, avoiding the now awakened
skeleton, and jump up to enter the room above. Go South to get back to the
lever room.
Right North Door
Jump the slopes to get
to the West side of the room then use the wall lever to turn the slopes so you
can get back to the other side of the room, jump back and into the right alcove
by the door to collect the 3rd STAR. Go back out and at the first slope
then turn and back flip on the right side of the slope to bounce you into the
doorway you entered here by. Go back out to the lever room.
Right South Door
Jump up into the room
then go over to the far pillar where you can collect some SHOTGUN AMMO
from the ground, also on this pillar is a ladder so climb up and activates two
timed hatches on the other pillars, make it across in time to jump into the
left alcove and get to the 3rd STAR, but beware as you arrive here as a
fire wraith is heading your way! Drop down to your right then go South to get
back to the lever room.
Left South Door
Use the ropes to get
over to the high ledge at the South side of the room and as you land a fire
will go out on a pillar below. Jump down to the pillar then drop to ground and
take the1st STAR from the pillar then a door opens in the West wall.
Don’t go through yet as you need to raise a hatch in the room outside first, so
nip into the NW corner of the room and find the lever to open the hatch and
also releases a Wraith. Leave via the West door and go right to find the opened
floor hatch, drop down then head South and up the ledge to the next room. What
a relieve as you see a pool ahead to wipe out that fire wraith, but don’t go on
the right of the pool or a spike trap awaits you. Climb out at the South side
of the pool and Collect a LMP from the corner before heading through the
South door. In the next room, climb the block to your left then pull up to the
next ledge and climb to the right, see a slope ahead of you and use it to get
on the wall ladder opposite, go up the ladder then shimmy right until you can
climb into the open door above then go through to return to the bamboo bridges
and head back to the lever room.
Left North Door - Star
Receptacle Room
Place all four Stars
to raise a block at the West side of the lever room, that’s all you need to do
here.
Go back to the lever
room and climb the newly risen block, find the timed wall lever in the West
wall and use it to extinguish fires on the central pillars. Quickly jump across
the pillars to the other side of the room avoiding a skeleton you disturb. At
the other side of the room approach the door and it will open for you, go
through and make your way outside.
Go to ground and over
to the far SE corner to find the TORCH hidden in the grass, light it on
the fire at the North side of the room then go light the wood pile at the SW
corner to open a door up in the West wall nearby, climb up through the new door
and take the JUNGLE GEM from the pedestal.
The two large double
doors outside will now open so go back out and enter the cave.
To your right you will see the zip line up on a ledge, jump to the ledge but
don’t use the zip line just yet if you want to find the Secret.
From the zip line
ledge look to your left and see a low platform down in the lava, jump over then
do a running jump round the wall to the South where you will see a door in the
rocks, go through and the Secrets bell will chime but you need to go a bit
further to get your reward, so enter the new room at the end of the passage and
go up one level onto the ledge ahead, go left then left again and at the far
wall see a gap to let you shimmy left into a door, go through and at the end go
left but don’t proceed along this ledge or you will get spiked, just nip down
to the next floor then make your way through to the next room. Here you will
find SECRET FIVE - SHOTGUN AMMO - UZI AMMO x 2 - LMP, but don’t go into
the centre of the room or you’ll get a nasty surprise!
Climb out of this room
via the West wall door and a door will open to take you back to the outside
area, go right and re enter the lava cave then take another trip up to the zip
line, use it to fly down to the bottom of the cave and drop into the small pool
at the end.
You will arrive in a
huge water room with a Sea Medusa heading towards you!
Climb out at the West ledges of the room and then jump up to the rocky wall to
your right, jump up to the next ledge then pick the Sea Medusa off from this
high place.
Jump over to the green island in the centre of the room and find the alcove in
the small building to place the Jungle Gem. A door opens at the SW corner of
the room but don’t go there yet.
Make your way back to the ledge you shot the Sea Medusa from and look
North to see a slope, jump to it and bounce to the West wall alcove then make
your way around the room until you get to the SE corner. On your left there’s a
brown ledge with a hanging plant symbolizing a spike trap, jump to the ledge
then shimmy past the plant to avoid the spike trap. Climb up and enter the East
wall door and go all the way to the end of the passage until you come to a lava
room with slopes. You guessed it; you have to jump the slopes to get to the North
door then enter the new room and collect the SUN GODDESS from the
electrical currant. Leave via the North wall door and come to another slope
room, make your way over to the East wall door then go left along the passage
to get back to the main water room.
From the brown ledge
go South and jump around the wall to the next ledge, from here take the monkey
swing over to the small green island and drop off avoiding the spike trap. Now
simply make your way to the West ledge and do a jump round into the West wall
door.
Go through to the new
room and combine the Sun Goddess and Sun Disk then use it on the receptacle
between the two statues. The cut scene will show you two doors opening ahead
and two skeletons arriving, just avoid them as best you can and enter the left
door to collect the KEY OF RELEASE, then enter the right door and use the
key on the lock to get outside.
Collect some SHOTGUN
AMMO from the ground to your left then head down the path until you come to
a low green rock, take note of the burning fire here as you will come back to
this. Load up your shotgun then head down the path to meet the T Rex, shame you
have to kill him but you need to get to the bottom of the path and find the TORCH
in the NE corner. There’s a closed bamboo door here and some fire wood nearby,
so go light the torch on the fire you saw earlier then bring it back and light
the fire wood. The bamboo door opens so go through and see the helicopter has
arrived to take you home.
