2005-
Unauthorized
walkthrough written by Selene
As before I will
emphasize that this is not an official walkthrough. Any questions or concerns
relating to the level must be directed straight to its maker. I have written it
to the best of my abilities, but if something should be missing please let me
know. Thanks for reading my walkthrough, I hope it will come in handy.
Since this level was
made as a contribution to the Custom Level Easter Project 2005 it features no
enemies or traps, only peaceful exploration and puzzle solving. There are 5
Secrets to find, all of them are listed in this walkthrough.
Pickups: Chocolate
Bars(small medipacks), Small Eggs(large medipacks), Tulips(flares), 3 Large
Easter Eggs, 2 Red Beetles, Crowbar/Stick plus 5 Secrets.
The adventure begins-
Getting into the house:
Lara begins the level
standing in a beautiful green meadow. Go straight ahead and towards the
building. Among the daffodils to the left of the entrance you will see a stick
laying on the ground. This is this level’s Crowbar, so pick it up. Feel free to
explore the rest of the meadow at your own leisure, but I didn't find anything more
to pick up there, so you can proceed through the foliage-covered entrance to
the garden. Ahead you will see a golden gate which is closed and a basket of
Easter eggs on the block ahead. But, lo and behold, there seems to be an egg
missing. Go left and around the pillars to the N. The right pillar has an
opening on the back of it. Climb up there and pick up the 1st large Easter Egg.
Go back down and place the egg in the basket standing on the block and the
golden gate will open, allowing you to enter the house.
Main Hall:
In here you will see
two closed doors ahead to the E and if you turn right you will see another
closed door far down the hall, to the S. Go left towards the statue to the far
N and look right. You will see an open doorway. Enter this doorway and look to
the left. Here is another closed door. Straight ahead is the kitchen, but there
is nothing of interest there. Now if you look around a bit more you will see
that in alcove one and two with the closed doors there are switches high on the
wall to the right of the doors and odd-looking floor tiles below them. In the
third alcove the switch and floor tile are located to the left of the closed
door. Go over to the N and face the bust of the man there. Pull it out once to
raise a block below the switch in the second alcove. Go back and climb this
block and pull the switch. The door to the right opens so go through here and
up the stairs.
The Bedroom- Secret 1
and 1st Red Beetle:
Go through the doorway
ahead to enter the bedroom. Climb the loudspeaker to the immediate left and do
a running jump from there to grab the top of the bed in the middle of the room.
Pull up here and pick up Secret 1: a chocolate bar(small medipack). The doorway
to the N leads to the bathroom and although it's a pretty sight there's nothing
to do there, so go in there only if you want to have a look around. Below the
shelves on the wall to the right of the doorway to the bathroom is the 1st Red
Beetle, so use the crowbar/stick to pry it off and pick it up. Afterwards leave
the room and go back down the stairs.
Main Hallway:
Go back to the bust
you moved earlier and you will see that the block to the right of it has
lowered. Push the bust onto this tile to raise the block in the first alcove to
the right of where you stand. Climb the block and pull the switch. You will
hear a clock ticking......that's right, it's a timed run. After you pull the
switch immediately roll, run off the block and run/jump around the left corner.
You will see that the door on the opposite side of the hallway is open so
sprint over there to get in before it closes.
Billiard Room/Living
Room/ Toy Room- 2nd Red Beetle:
Follow the hallway and
enter a room with two pool tables. Go straight ahead through the opening to the
S and you will come to a living room. Pick up the chocolate bar on the left
plate on the table. Shoot the small chest in the W corner. It is empty, but
doing so opens the closed door to the E in the billiard room. Go through here
to a small toy room. Go around the purple pillar and pry off the 2nd Red Beetle
on the W side of the pillar. Go to the teddy bear sitting near the E corner and
push it once against the wall. You will see a door opening. Go back out to the
room with the pool tables and follow the hallway out to the main hall.
Finding Secret 2 and
3- Opening the Garden Gate:
Go back to where the
moveable bust is and you will see that the block in the left corner has lowered
as well. But before moving the bust again, go through the opening on the right
leading to the kitchen and left through the door you just opened. Go down the
stairs, follow the hallway and down some more stairs. Go to the right and
through the doorway here. Go over to the plant between the windows to pick up
Secret 2: a small Easter Egg(large medipack). Go back outside, to the left and
past the stairs and enter the library. Pull out the third bookshelf from the
right(below the second pillar) to reveal Secret 3: another small Easter Egg.
Shoot the chest in the corner and leave this room. Go back past the stairs and
towards the room where you picked up Secret 2, but this time go past it and
towards the end of the hallway. Here you will see a large window, another bust,
a sofa and a vase with daffodils in it. Go over to the bookshelf next to the
sofa and push it in once. You will see a block raising below a high wall
switch. Look down to see the 2nd large Easter Egg that you can pick up. Go back
up the stairs you came from and up into the main hall.
The Pool Garden:
This time push the
bust into the W corner on top of the final tile. Go to the third alcove to see
that the block to the left of the door is raised, enabling Lara to reach the
final switch. Pull it to open the door to the right. As you enter, turn right
and climb the block you raised earlier. Jump to grab the switch and pull it
down to open a golden gate somewhere else. Turn around and go right down the
stairs until you reach a lovely pool in the garden. Go across the pool garden
and through the arch on the right side. Here is the golden gate you opened before.
Egg Puzzle- Secret 4:
Go through the gate
and into another part of the garden. Around the flower bed ahead there are four
tiles, one in each corner. On two of these tiles there are two blue Easter eggs
on pedestals. The other two tiles are empty and have blue squares in the
middle. What you need to do is to push the pedestals with the eggs on it onto
the tiles with the blue squares. First go behind the egg pedestal on the left and
push it once towards the column. Go around it to the left and continue pushing
it until you reach the tile with the blue square on it, opposite of the column.
Push the pedestal with the egg onto this tile and you will see that the column
straight ahead on the far side has lowered. Go over there and climb it to find
Secret 4: a chocolate bar. Go back down and you will see that opposite of this
column is another empty tile with a blue square on it. Across from this tile,
to the right of where you entered this area is another pedestal with a blue
egg. Push that pedestal over to the tile with the blue square and onto it to
open a golden gate somewhere else. Go right and into the hallway to the E. Here
the golden gate to the right is now open. Go through here and to the left you
will see a familiar scenario: a pedestal with a blue egg on it and a tile with
a blue square in the middle. The only problem is that there is a hole in the
ground separating the egg pedestal from the tile with the blue square. In the hole
you will see a familiar looking tile, that's right.....it is indeed a block you
can raise. But how? Look to the right to spot a crawlspace. Crawl through there
and when you reach a wall shoot it out. Go through and around the corner where
you can stand and also pick up the 3rd large Easter Egg. Go back out through
the crawlspace to find that the tile between the pedestal and the blue-squared
tile is raised, so now you can position Lara behind the pedestal and push it
once onto the raised block and once more onto the tile with the blue square.
Bunny Garden:
Go back outside and to
the right. Follow the hallway around until you reach a window on the E side(to
the right that is) and a now open doorway next to it. Go through here to
another green and lush meadow with two small pools and an Easter bunny running
around. The bunny will run after Lara and push at her, this might become
annoying at length but at least it doesn't damage her. Go straight ahead and
pick up the small tulip(flares) among the larger ones. Go to the far right side
and you will spot a tree trunk with a receptacle in it. Place the first Red
Beetle in this receptacle, this opens an underwater gate.
Swim trial- Opening
Another Gate:
Now let's go for a
quick dip in the pool. Go to the largest pool closest to the doorway where you
entered. Jump in the pool and locate a narrow underwater opening to the N/E.
Swim through there and straight ahead. Turn right around the corner, straight
ahead again and swim through the opening to the left where the bottom of the
pool is covered with greeneries. Turn left again and go through the narrow
opening you see here and turn left once more. Here is the golden gate you
opened by placing the red beetle in the receptacle. Turn right and right again
around the corner and continue following the tunnel until you reach a narrow
opening to the left, you will also see a closed gate ahead. Squeeze through the
opening and follow the passage until Lara can surface.
You're now in a room
with various-size stone blocks, both flat and slanted ones. Swim to the lowest
block to the N/W and climb out of the water there. Turn around and do a running
jump to grab the slightly taller block ahead to the S. Do another running jump,
this time without grabbing, to reach the moss-covered block slightly left and
ahead. Turn around and do another running jump while pressing Action to grab
the edge of the sloped block ahead. Pull up at the middle of the slope and as
Lara starts sliding jump forwards. If you have set up the jump correctly you
will land on a flat area of the slanted block ahead. Stand as far away from the
slanting part of the block as you can and do a standing jump over the slope to
land on the flat part on top of the block. Turn right and do a running jump
while pressing Action to land in the alcove with the switch. Pull it to open
the closed gate in the passage that you could see earlier before entering this
room.
Jump back in the pool,
swim down the passage and out through the narrow opening. This time go left and
continue through the tunnel past the now open gate and go on until you can
surface in another meadow area with stone bridges, tranquil rivers and sheep
running around. Climb out of the pool.
Stone Bridge Meadow-
Secret 5:
Go towards the S/E where you will see a cute little bunny on the ground,
a block with a sign prohibiting the use of weapons and among the tulips here
you can pick up a small tulip. Turn right and go towards the stone bridge to
the W. You will see a swan in the water here and a bush to the right before the
bridge. There is also a tree to the left of the bush. Go into this bush and
pick up Secret 5: a chocolate bar. Cross the stone bridge and go ahead until
you reach another tree trunk with a receptacle. Place the second red beetle
here. You will hear a door somewhere opening. Go around to the left of the
trunk and continue ahead. Opposite of the trunk you will see some black spots
on the ground. Step onto this area and you will fall through the ground and
onto a slope. Go right and through the small white gate. To the right is a
lever, very cleverly camouflaged as a log with a branch sticking out of it. Go
behind it and pull the lever. Now you will see another golden gate opening. Go
back to the slope where you dropped down. Stand with Lara's back to the slope,
backflip and continue pressing Jump to make her bounce off the slope. Press
Action and she will grab the ledge above. Pull up and go back to the river
where you swam into this area.
Filling the Easter
Baskets- Finding The Exit:
Jump in and go to the
E side where you can swim back down through the underwater tunnel again. Go
back to the area with the Easter bunny and get out of the pool here. Retrace
your steps through the doorway and this time go right. Follow the hallway
around until you reach the gate you opened a little while back. Go through here
and you will see another basket with an egg missing so place one egg in the
basket. Continue around the hallway and behold: another basket for you to place
the final egg in. Go through the door opening to the right and into another
meadow area where you will see a horse drawn carriage showing you where to go
next. Follow it through the foliage-covered opening. A block will raise with
the joyous message "Happy Easter" written on it. Go towards the block
and the level will end
