MUMMY KINGS

[Note] The mummys do not attack but are useful in pointing the way to go. I thought this was an interesting use for them instead of the usual idea of using them as targets. [End note]

Slide down an incline and at the bottom run to the right down a tunnel. At the end shoot a pot in the North-East corner for a large medipack. Go East to a door. Climb the block to the South and get into a hole. Use the switch to open the door. Follow the tunnel to a room with a pool. In the South-West corner are flares. Dive into the water and swim into an underwater tunnel. You will pass an opening to the South but keep swimming the loop until you pull up into a room with five movable towers. Four pits surround the middle tower. At the back of the room is a doorway. Pull out the tower from the North-West corner and drop into the space behind it. Go down the tunnel and enter an almost empty room. Move the column in the East to the circle in front of the door. Magically four columns appear in the West side of the room. Pull the column back so you get out. Return to the five towers room and go through the door. Go up the stairs, run over the sinking floors and push the movable tower into the room. Use a lever in the corner and get a cut scene of a platform rising in the five towers room. Go there and pull the central tower onto the platform. Pick up the music scroll that was underneath it.

Swim back to the room you passed before. Pull up and go up the centre of the hill to the right towards the music scroll holder in a tunnel. Immediately side jump as a spike ball rolls toward you. Go back and use the music scroll and a door opens in the South wall. Go down the tunnel and pull up into a room with a structure in the middle. Go around the left side of the structure until you reach a door and a big pushbutton. There is another door at the end of the corridor. Use the pushbutton and the door opens and a mummy walks out. The mummy went to the door at the end and the door opened. Go there and use the lever and an earthquake happens. Go back to the mummy room and climb on the wall. Go to the South-West ledge and jump the sloped block to get a Horseman’s gem and secret#1. Return along the ledge and see a music scroll near a ladder in the South-East corner. Drop down and go to the front of the structure. A pole has appeared so use it to get to the roof. Climb up the hole in the ceiling. Notice the tiles in front will light fires further along. Jump some of the tiles so you can get over the fires. The block at the back of the room resets all the fires to off. On the other side, go through a crawl space.

As you turn the corner a door closes behind you. You have to run down the tunnel avoiding the spikes and the wraith. At the end go to a bird statue and the wraith will die. Pick up flares and enter the doorway between the bird statues. Go left on the ledge and around the corner pull back a movable tower. Return, light a flare, and see that in the opposite corner is an opening to climb into. Get in and follow to the back of the tower. Follow to a room with stairs to the left. First go to South-West corner and drop down to get the music scroll. Shoot all the pots but only the middle one on the stairs has a small medipack. At the bottom of the stairs follow a tunnel to a door that opens for you. This as another tunnel but with darts shooting from the walls. Go in and turn right at the first turnoff. Straight ahead is a dead end. Follow the tunnel and watch out for spikes in the floor, wall, and ceiling. You arrive at a door that opens for you.

Go through a crawl space and get into a room with columns. A flyby shows you the columns, switch, and double exit doors. Go West to find the shortest column you can climb. Make your way around the columns counter clock-wise until you are on a tall column near the entrance. Monkey swing to the switch on the West block. Use the switch and the double doors in the East open. You may notice a structure with a hole in the South-West corner. Use the binoculars and look East to see a large pushbutton at the base of a sloped column. Press it and a block rises besides that structure. Go there and get inside for normal crossbow ammo. Go to the door and down the steps. You can shoot any empty pot. When you get to the pillars, beetles emerge from the floor. Pick up flares in the corner and go North to use the music scroll to open a door. Jump the nearby fire pit and enter that door.

To the left is an empty pot to shoot. Go right and shoot two more empty pots. Keep on and jump over a block. Watch out for the pit and go left to press a large pushbutton. The door opens beside you to release a mummy and a door opens in the pit. Go to the pit and climb down a ladder into it. Go to the corner and use a switch to drop a rope over the pit. Climb the ladder and use the rope to get to the other side of the pit. Climb a very long ladder and get into a room with darts. Use the switch to your left to open the door at the other end of the room. Go there and slide down a little incline. Drop into a hole and continue down the tunnel. At the East wall corner look up for a hole and ladder in the ceiling. Climb it to press a pushbutton and get a cut scene of a door opening. Get down and run North for that door. Shoot another empty pot. Run down the corridor and pass some window-like structures. At the end you see a skeleton waiting for you. In its room are two passageways. Run into the first passageway and drop into a hole for normal crossbow ammo. Get out and continue to see a closed door. Return and enter the second passageway and follow to stand on a tile. Run back to that timed door and enter it to slide down an incline.

Follow this until you enter a room with two tall columns. Shoot the pot in the corner for a laser sight. Exit and notice a column on the left for later. Notice the waterfalls straight ahead. Go there and dive to the bottom for a Pharos Knot. Now go and push that column. In a corner is normal crossbow ammo. In the other corner is a hole. Hop in and follow the tunnel to a receptacle. Use the Pharos Knot and get a cut scene of a block rising in the room. Go there and climb the blocks and get into a dark room. Be careful of falling spike balls and go up the ramp to a crawl space. Get in and finally reach a room with five blocks, five doors, and four big pushbuttons. Press the pushbuttons and use the block to get into the alcoves and shoot the pots. In the last alcove to the East enter the tunnel and climb a wall at the end to a fifth pushbutton. Press it and get a cut scene of the fifth door opening. Go to that alcove, shoot the pot and a door opens in the East end and a mummy emerges.

Enter that door and follow the tunnel to a room with non-breakable pots. Go to the end of the room and pull back the column. Underneath it, pick up the crossbow. Stand on the block beside it and get a cut scene of a door. Look to the South to see a pillar with a fire and a pot at the top. Shoot the pot and the door opens. Go back down the tunnel to exit this area and enter the next doorway. Go right and enter the green-floored area. At the end are the Hathor Effigy and the Ornate Handle. Get them and exit and go right down a corridor to use them to open a door. Enter the door, slide down and the level ends.
