With this file, you can go farther, although there is still a fatal bug that prevents you collecting everything. [End note]
The Ruins (Le rovine)
You start on a beach near a powered raft. Go to the north-east and pick up red shotgun shells near a plant. Go to the west wall and move a block for blue shotgun shells. Go to the north wall and pick up flares and notice another movable block. Kill two wild pigs and then push the movable block to reveal a crawl space. Get to the other side of the crawl space and stand in a tunnel. Go to the west wall and face east. Jump up to grab the ceiling and monkey swing to the east and over the spike pit. Drop on the other side and shoot the annoying bat. Get into the upper crawl space in the south wall. Crawl to the end for secret #1, red shotgun shells and crossbow normal ammo. Get out and go into the north tunnel. Climb the ladder on the west wall and shimmy to the right and drop on a ledge. Run and jump to the north to grab a climbable wall. Climb up and shimmy left into a tunnel. Go to the end of the tunnel and use the floor lever. You get a cut scene of a gate opening. Safety drop to the ground and kill two scorpions. Enter the open gate in the north wall.
Follow the tunnel west and enter a large open area. Kill a dog and two guards that approach from the north through the bushes. Watch where the guards die and go there to pick up a Silver Key (Chiave d'argento). Do not go to the west or you will trigger a sentry gun. Go north and shoot two small boxes and pick up a shotgun. Notice the great ruins on the upper east ledge but there is nothing to find up there. You need to go around the perimeter of the area to avoid a sentry gun. Continue north and jump over a slope. You slide into a pit and see a receptacle on the east wall. Go west and up the stairs to exit the pit. Go west past a jeep near a closed gate. You come upon a pile of boxes. Go to the west and then go south. There are empty boxes to shoot and you find four green tents. You can shoot the boxes inside the tents for red shotgun shells and Uzi ammo. Continue pass an inactive sentry gun and approach two buildings. Hop onto the boxes near the west building and use the switch on the box. You get a cut scene of a trap dropping and a guard in a building. Go to the front of the east building. Use the Silver Key to open the door while the sentry gun shoots you in the back. Go inside and kill the guard.
This is the building from the cut scene. Drop into the open trap door and get into the lower crawl space in the south wall. Follow the crawl space and pick up a small medipack. Continue to the end and go west to jump over a spike pit. Pull up and get a flyby of the area. Continue to the west and kill two wild pigs. Turn south and then west again. Kill a crocodile and continue west to an area of shallow water. Go to the west wall and pull down a jump switch. When you do this, Lara becomes invisible. Run back to the entrance are and go to the south-east corner. Climb the block in the corner and jump over the spikes and land on a ledge. Go to the end of the tunnel and use the floor lever. You get a cut scene of a gate opening. Carefully get out of the tunnel and over the spikes. Go to the nearby south wall to find the open gate.
Go inside the tunnel and climb the ladder at the end. Follow to the tunnel to a ledge above the valley floor. Jump up and grab the monkey swing. Go west and drop at the start of the bridge. Cross the bridge and enter the tunnel to kill a guard. At the tunnel exit, grab the edge and shimmy to the left and pull up. Turn and jump up to grab another monkey swing. Go south and drop onto a ledge. Jump to a lower ledge to the west. Then run and jump to grab the ledge at the west wall. First go to the north end and grab the crevice in the west wall. Shimmy to the right and pull up into a crawl space. Go to the end for secret #2 and a large medipack. Back out and shimmy back to the west ledge. Go to the south end and grab the crevice in the west wall. Shimmy to the left until you can pull up. Go west and use the floor lever. You get a cut scene of a gate opening in a wall.
Safety drop to the ground and go east. The open gate is n front of you. Enter the tunnel and the gate closes. Pick up the Pharos Pillar (Chiave del Santuario) from the pedestal and the door opens in the east end of the tunnel. Slide down the slope and jump over the hole at the bottom. The rolling ball behind you will fall into the hole. Follow the tunnel and run and jump over breakable tiles over a spike pit. A gate will shut behind you. Pick up flares from the floor and continue to the east. You can shoot an empty box and go forward a little to kill two bats. There is a pit in front of you. You have to jump the pit and clear the swinging blade on the other side. Then jump over a second pit with a second swinging blade. Follow the tunnel and you can crawl under the blade ball on a rope trap. Continue and enter a room with a large pool.
Run around the ledges to the west wall. Shoot the box there for a small medipack. Go to the middle of the north wall and pull down a jump switch. Dive into the water and swim into the underwater tunnel in the north wall. Pick up a second Pharos Knot and swim up the vertical shaft. Pull up at the end to get a cut scene of three guards at the jeep near the closed gate. Go north and you are back into the open area with the buildings. Quickly run to the east as the sentry gun shoots you. Kill two guards that approach you and pick up a small medipack. Save the game at this point. Go north and kill the last guard next to the jeep. Pick up the Guard Keys (Chiave delle guardie) that the guard drops. If the keys appear under the jeep, reload and try again.
Go back to the area with the two gray buildings. Go to the west building and use the Guard Keys to open the door. Kill the dog and the guard that emerge from the building. Enter the building for secret #3 and pick up flares from the top of a corner box. Exit the building and go to the pit in the north-east corner of the area. There are two closed doors and a receptacle. Use the Pharos Pillar and the right door opens. Enter the tunnel and use the Pharos Pillar. Exit and the left door is open. Enter the tunnel and slide down the slope as the level ends.
The Sanctuary (Santuario degli Elementi)
You slide down a slope and into a room with a knight. There is a closed door in the west wall. There are two receptacles each on the north and south walls. You need to use the revised level. If you do not have it, just quit now.
Go south and push open the doors. Climb the ladder and back flip into a tunnel. Go north and push open the doors to emerge onto the second floor balcony. Go west and open the doors in the south wall. Go south and drop into the hole with the pole and cutting blade. Follow the tunnel and go down a ramp. Kill a bat and the gate opens as you approach. Run straight across an invisible bridge over a deep pit. Pick up the crowbar for secret #4. Pry the Aria Key (Chiave dell' Aria) from the wall. Run back over the invisible bridge and go to the north-west corner. Climb down a ladder into the deep pit. Search the floor near the north wall for flares. Climb up the ladder back up to the ledge. Go up the ramp and climb the pole to back flip into the room. Go north and emerge back onto the balcony.
Hop over the balcony and use the Aria Key in the south-west receptacle. You get a cut scene of the west door opening. Run up the stairs and enter the west door. Run down the corridor and the level ends. If you want, you can investigate the other doors as well before you leave the level.
Go north and push open the doors. Climb the ladder and back flip into a tunnel. Go south and push open the doors to emerge onto the second floor balcony. Go east and push open the door. Follow the tunnel down the stairs and enter a room with a pool. Avoid the knight and go to the west wall. Pull down the jump switch and the gate opens in the north-east corner. Go there and down the north tunnel. Follow the tunnel to a room with a fountain. Kill two dogs and shoot the vases on the blocks for flares. Press the button on the east block in the middle of the room. Enter the open door in the east wall. Run down the tunnel and jump over the pillars to a crawl space in the south-east corner. Go to the end of the south crawl space and press a button. Get out and drop into the water. Swim into the opening in the east wall. Swim through the underwater tunnel. Pull up at the end and go the east platform to pick up the Bronze Key (Chiave di Bronzo). Swim back to the room and pull up onto a west ledge. Pull up into the tunnel and return to the fountain room.
Go to the north-west corner and pull out the lamp at the west wall. Push the lamp to the east onto the fancy designed square near the fountain. Dive into the water and swim north into an underwater tunnel. You get secret #5 and pick up Uzi's. Get back to the fountain room. Press the buttons on the west block in the middle of the room. Enter the open door in the west wall. Go to the end and pull up onto the slope. Back flip onto a ledge for blue shotgun shells. Run and jump to the west to grab a ledge and pull up to a tunnel. Go north and use the Bronze Key to open the door. Enter a room with a central pit. You are on the south ledge. Go west and jump onto the west ledge. Look to the south wall and press a button. You get a cut scene of a double gate. Go east and jump onto the east ledge. Look to the south wall and press a button. You get a cut scene of a double gate opening. Go to the north ledge and look up at the east wall. Pull down the jump switch and you hear a gate opening. Go west to find the open double gate. Ignore the floor lever to the south for now. Drop into the water below and pull up into the pit. Enter the open gate in the north wall. In the next room go left and run and jump north to a ladder. Climb up and be careful of the fire as you pull up onto a ledge. Run and jump to the south to grab a crawl space. Go west and kill a bat. Press a button on the west wall and get a cut scene of a gate opening. Drop into the water and go back to the pit.
Climb the ladder on the north wall and go to the east ledge. The door closes behind you. Go up the east wall ramp and into the south-west corner. Use the floor lever and get a flyby of gears and doors in a pit. Go down the ramp and move the lamp from the north-west corner to the north-east corner to open the exit gate. Do not run into the gate or it will close. Jump over the tile in front of the gate and use grab to glide into the tunnel. If the gate does close move the lamp off and then back onto the tile to re-open the gate. Go back to the ledge and back into the pit. Go to the west wall and enter the open gate. Use the floor lever and get the same cut scene of the gears. Go back to the north wall and climb the ladder. Jump south over the ledge on the central structure. Use the floor lever and get the same cut scene of the gears. Jump back and go south to the gears. Go the south-west corner and climb down the ladder into the gear pit. Grab the ceiling and monkey swing south over the lava pit. Use the floor lever and get a cut scene of the gears. This time the gears are moving and the room is flooded. Monkey swing back over the lava pit and climb out of the gear pit. Go to the south wall and exit this room.
Follow the tunnel south to the flooded room. Kill the shark before you enter the water. Dive into the water and swim south-west. Pull open the underwater door and swim into the tunnel. Pull up into a room and press the button on the west wall. Dive into the water and swim back to the flooded room. Continue swimming east and into a tunnel. Pull up into a room with a lava floor. Monkey swing over the lava and pull down the jump switch at the east wall. Monkey swing back over the lava. Swim back to the flooded room and loop to the right and swim into another tunnel. Swim up a vertical shaft as the camera view changes. At the top, pull down an underwater handle on the ceiling. Swim back down into the flooded room. Swim west into another tunnel and pull up into a room. Pick up the trident (Tridente) from the pedestal. Shoot or ignore the skeleton in the room. Swim back to the flooded room and up into the hole in the middle of the ceiling. Follow the tunnel to the east and get back to the room with the fountain. Follow the tunnel in the south wall back to the room with the pool. Go to the south ledge and use the trident on the statue to open the door in the pool. Dive into the pool and swim into the open underwater door in the west wall. At the end pull up into a tunnel. Use the crowbar to pry the Acqua Key (Chiave dell' Acqua) off the wall. Go back to the pool room and exit up the stairs in the east wall. Return back to the second floor balcony.
Hop over the balcony and use the Acqua Key in the north-east receptacle. The door in the west wall stays open if you want to exit now.
Go north and climb the ladder and back flip into a tunnel. Go south through the open doors to emerge onto the second floor balcony. Go west and push open the door. Follow the tunnel and drop into a lower tunnel. Just follow that tunnel until it changes into a maze with a gray wall and you need to shoot a bat. Go north and through a crawl space. You see closed gate #1. Go through another crawl space and kill a dog. Carefully go south over the spike trap. You pass closed gate #2 and then see closed gate #3. Enter the crawl space by gate #3. Follow the crawl space to pick up a Bronze Key. Continue and stand up to enter a south tunnel. Jump over the spike trap and press the button on the south wall. Return back to gate #1, which is now open. Follow the tunnel and avoid the spike trap. At the end, press the button on the wall.
Now go back to gate #3, which is now open. Follow the tunnel to the south and kill a dog. Go south through the crawl space and enter a cave. Kill two bats and go to the west wall. Use the crowbar to pry the Terra Key (Chiave delle Terra) off the wall. Pick up flares at the east wall and exit out of the crawl space. Go east to press the button on the wall. Return to gate #2, which is now open. Enter and look north to see closed gate #4. Go south and take the west branch to find a floor lever. Use the floor lever and you hear a gate open. Exit and continue south over the spike trap. Use the floor lever and hear a gate open. Now go north to gate #4, which is now open. Be careful of the spike trap and pass through open gate #5. Follow the tunnel to safety drop into a room with a lava pit. Kill a harpy and jump the platform in the lava. Go to the north-east corner and follow the east tunnel.
Just climb the blocks until you reach a closed gate and a lock. Use the Bronze Key to open the gate. Run across the breakable tile and into a gate that closes behind you. Follow the tunnel to a closed gate. Look for a branch tunnel in the upper west wall. Go there and use the floor lever to open the gate. Enter back into the tunnel before the maze. Kill a dog and go east. Follow the tunnel back to the second floor balcony.
Hop over the balcony and use the Terra Key in the north-west receptacle. The door in the west wall stays open if you want to exit now.
There are bugs here that prevent from completing this area correctly but I have done as much as possible for the sake of completeness.
Go south and climb the ladder and back flip into a tunnel. Go north through the open doors to emerge onto the second floor balcony. Go east to open the doors in the south wall. Enter the tunnel and kill a dog. Go to the end for another spike ball run. This time hop onto the slope and jump back into the tunnel. The spike ball rolls past you. Now you can run down the slope and jump over the spike ball in the pit. Enter the tunnel and the gate closes behind you. Follow the tunnel to see a fire on the floor. Face the west wall and side jump over the fire. Quickly crouch and crawl into the lower crawl space as a spike ball rolls behind you. Get out of the crawl space and go south up the ramp that the spike ball rolled down. Turn around and jump up to grab a ladder on the north wall. Pull up into a crawl space for secret #6 and Uzi ammo. Get back out for go back to the crawl space near the fire. Follow the crawl space and drop into a room. Kill two bats and go up the stairs in the west wall. Enter the room to kill a harpy. Go to the west wall and pry the Fuoco Key (Chiave del Fuoco) off the wall. Search the coffin for red shotgun shells.
There are two options here. If you came here second after the south-west room, then pick up the torch off the central platform and light it on a wall torch. Go back down the stairs and light the basket in the center of the room. A block rises in the room up the stairs. Anyway, the gate in the upper alcove does not open and you are stuck.
If you came here last after the other three rooms, the basket in the middle is already on fire and the block cannot be raised. Anyway, the gate in the upper alcove does not open and you are stuck.
Just quit anytime you want as the bugs keep from placing the fourth key.
