As the level
starts, turn around and enter the room, get a small
medipack and look for closed door you will open later. Follow
outside and south, drop into a place with a glass floor and a big fan, look for
another closed door you will also open later. Climb out from there and head
over to a yellow car, turn to the south and climb the long block. Go down the
block and look for a green trapdoor you have to raise, then drop down into the
pit and climb the north side. Jump to the top of the brick sloped block and
enter the west alcove for flares. Drop
down and climb onto the next long block and head east to the end. Take a
running jump, grab the east wall and climb onto the roof, turn to face
south-east and look for a jump switch on the east wall. From where you are
standing, run/jump onto the sloped east wall and immediately grab it, then
shimmy right and when you're above the jump switch drop, grab it and pull it
down. Now the green trapdoor rises up, so go back over there and climb onto it.
If you look west you'll see a large opening you can reach, but this is for
later, right now climb south.
Jump/grab the
ladder and climb down, jump into the water and swim forward, look for a closed
underwater door. Roll and swim back, climb out of the water. Follow west around
the wall, then pass between two columns and kill two
crows. Head south and stop next to the grate wall, look at the west
building wall, there's a closed door you'll open soon. Turn around and head to
the place Lara stands in the following picture.
Climb the
sloped block to the west (left in the picture) and stand in the south-west
corner, facing north. Sideflip onto the sloped roof (just in the middle of the
pic), grab the ledge and shimmy almost fully to the right wall. Climb up,
backflip, turn in midair and curve left to land on a ledge. Jump south onto the
sloped roof, turn facing the south building wall and look for a jump switch.
Now take a running jump over the switch and pull it down to open the door in
the west building wall you just saw.
Head over to
the grate wall and follow inside, climb the brick block while facing north and
jump into an open alcove. Take another jump onto the block with the pile of
planks and walk a little bit further, then jump north-west into an alcove with
a short ceiling. Now you have to take a curved running jump over the left
column and land onto it, then one more jump north into the alcove. Shoot the
electricity box and pull the switch to get a short fly-by of some homeless dude standing on a block with a campfire
not far away from you and a door opening somewhere. You might see this homeless
dude later but you need to meet him face to face, as he will give you
something.
Anyway, drop
down and go back the earlier ladder you climbed down, this time climb up and
backflip to get back to the green trapdoor. Face west, run/jump over the large
opening, grab it and pull inside, go north and see the door you just
opened.
Jump into the
water and swim a little bit north, look for an exit hole in the ceiling. Pull
out of the water, follow north until you come to a place with wire at the
floor. Pass the place and turn east, kill a rat
on your way and reach the opening at the end. Drop into a big area and head
south, then west, and enter the north way, look for a green trapdoor and a
receptacle. Exit the place and head to the south-east corner with a sloped stone,
with a simple jump stand on the top.
Face west,
jump up to grab the stone ledge above and shimmy right where you can pull up
onto it. Run/jump to the opposite (west) sloped stone and turn to face
north-west, you have to take a blind curve running jump to a sloped block
hanging on the wall. Then shimmy a little bit left and do a backflip with roll
and grab a stone ledge. Climb onto it and step forward, then drop to the block
from the right and run/jump to the north-west block and pick up the Portable Motor.
Drop to the
floor and go back to the receptacle, use the portable motor to open the
trapdoor. Now before you get down, go through the open trapdoor to reach a very
well hidden alcove. Go and stand facing the west wall right above the opening
floor. Step back, then run and jump forward, grab the climbable wall and climb
up through the ceiling and into an alcove for SECRET
#1, pick up the flares.
Carefuly climb
down the wall and drop back down to the floor, otherwise you'll fall directly
into the open trapdoor and you die. Climb down the ladder, then walk forward
and drop to place with a big fan and shallow water. Go left and look for a
receptacle, keep a little bit further and look for an underwater lever. Despite
the shallow water lever you're able to pull this lever and get a screenie of
two trapdoors being raised up. Time to leave, go and stand facing the fan,
backflip onto the sloped wall behind you and jump forward, grab the opening,
climb up the ladder and you are out from there.
Kill the rats and head back to the south-east corner, climb
back onto the stone ledge as you did before, this time turn to face north.
Run/jump over the trapdoors you raised and take another jump to the space
between the columns. Jump the next ledge and walk to the end, take a jump
forward to the next ledge then run/jump over the north-west ledge. Run/jump to
the faraway south ledge and pull the switch at the shattered electricity box
and get a screenie of the flooded fan place you came from. Make your way over
there, jump down through the open trapdoor and swim inside the place. Climb the
north ledge and jump to the next ledge, pick up the Portable
Battery. Swim back to the ladder and climb out, kill two crows, then head south over to the pit with wire
in the floor. Notice the south-west opening you'll go through later. However,
run/jump to the opposite (south) ledge and climb onto it, then drop down
forward and use the portable battery at the receptacle.
The door is
now open at the east side. Jump over the slope into a new area and stop in
front of a deep pit, by the way you'll reach the bottom later. Look for a timed
trapdoor on the north wall you'll need to raise up soon, then take a running
jump east to cross the pit. From the ramp drop down and take a look at north
for a key hole and a closed door. Keep south and drop into the hole, move east
and take a standing jump between the slopes, then climb up and run to the end,
see a cover glass on a switch. Now turn around and back to the hole, this time
don't drop down, just take a curved jump and climb back up the ramp. Move to
the right and stand facing east. Run/jump forward and grab the high ledge. Jump
up, grab the ceiling and follow the monkey swing that leads you to a ledge with
a switch. Pull this switch to raise up the cover glass you just saw. Drop down
to the floor and go back to this switch. Press the switch to raise up the timed
trapdoor, quickly turn around and run over the hole, take again a curved jump
and back up the ramp. Climb up and jump south-west, don't stop, take one more
jump and climb the block. Take a sidejump and you are back on the trapdoor.
Immediately jump to the north-west, then over the ledge, turn to face
north-east and jump into an alcove, pick up the Key
of the Unfathomable Demon (red key).
Drop down to
the floor and cross the deep pit again, go back to the earlier key hole and use
the red key to open the door. Enter a new room with a deep pit and an up/down
trapdoor. When you're ready, jump onto the trapdoor and run/jump forward, grab
the opposite wall and climb up. Look for a closed door, then take a running
jump into a south-west opening. Drop down and be aware of the hole with wire
ahead, follow the next passage, pass the opening and run to the end. Take a
look north-east behind the grate at our mysterious homeless dude. Go back to
the opening you passed and enter inside, go left and see a switch protected by
fire. The idea here is not to step on the glass floor as it activates the fire.
Walk outside and be sure you are not standing on the glass floor and carefully
jump to the right tile, notice as the next sunken tiles are traps. A simple jump to the sloped tile and the one
after it and stop before the up/down trapdoor. Now with perfect timing pass the
next trapdoor and reach the switch. Press the switch and go back to the opening
you entered, jump back to the wall and climb up. Go through the door you
opened, slide down and run a little bit forward, then take a jump to the
north-west corner next to the block and climb up the grate wall.
You are now in
a new big area. Climb the grate block and run/jump north, grab the stone wall
and climb onto it. From here you have to take a run-jump north-north-west onto
the protruding slope, then jump and grab the ledge. From the stone ledge
run/jump to the south and head over to the switch. Look to your left, there's a
burning tile with an object. Pull the switch to raise up a cover glass on a
switch that you can't see from here, then turn around and jump back to the
stone ledge. Climb north-east, watch the wire and reach the switch. Pull it down
and raise another cover glass. Go back to the stone ledge and proceed west,
jump over the flares, pick them up and
jump back to the stone ledge. Climb north-west and reach the switch, pull it
down to raise up the last cover glass. Turn to face north-east and run jump to
the faraway ledge to reach the switch, and save the game. This is a timed
switch to turn off the fire on a tile you saw near the first switch. Pull it
down and start a timed running/jumping over the tile and pick up the Portable Motor.
Now go back to
the first big area the same way you got here, through the up/down trapdoor,
then cross the deep pit and jump over the hole with the wire on the floor and
don't worry about the south-west opening as we'll go over there soon. However,
you need to get back to the higher switch in the shattered electricity box you
already pulled when you flooded the fan place and raise it up to bring the
place to a shallow water. Get back down there and use the portable motor at the
receptacle and
get a screenie of a closed door at the beginning fan place. Actually you opened
another door further down the passage beyond this closed door. Now climb out
from here and head south and stop before the hole with wire on the floor.
Run and jump
into the south-west opening and step a little bit forward. In the next room two
barrels are rolling from side to side so you have to cross it faster to the
south, then jump over the slope and follow to the next room. There are three
movable grate blocks and one stone block in this room. Slide north to the
bottom, climb the next block and look for a cover glass, then go back up the
room. The idea here is to pull/push these grate blocks and clear a space for
the stone block that you need to pull/push under the half column. When the
puzzle is done, slide again to the bottom and climb the block, see the cover
glass has raised up. Pull the switch and get a screenie of the entrance room at
the beginning, but actually you opened the closed door there.
Time to leave
this area forever and go back to the beginning, but before this you have to
complete something. When you reach the beginning area, climb again onto the
green trapdoor, then climb south, jump/grab the ladder and climb down to an
earlier area. Jump into the water and swim south, the underwater door is open
now (triggered in the passage leading to the half-flooded area with the fan),
just swim into an alcove and reach SECRET #2,
pick up the flares. Now climb out of the
water and return to the beginning area.
Enter the room
and follow through the door you already opened, then run to the end. Jump/grab
the ladder and climb down to an underground area. Drop east and follow down the
path, at the end climb the block and see a closed door. You have to work a
little hard, for to get it open requires a nasty timed run. Return back and
head west, climb the high level and look for a cover glass on a switch. Proceed
north and run down the stairs, stop before the hole with wire. Jump to the
north-east place and climb north, you are now at the bottom of the pit you
earlier crossed. Turn to the south wall and save the game before you pull the
switch. This switch opens the timed door you just saw. Pull the switch and cut
the screenie to save time, jump forward and run a little, then jump over the
hole and run up the stairs, turn left and drop from the high level, sprint
down, then climb the block and reach the open door. Pull the switch to raise up
the cover glass, then return to the high level. Pull the switch and get a
screenie of an open door at the first fan place.
Back to the
ladder and climb up, backflip and then turn around and run outside. Drop into
the fan place and enter the passage, run to the end and turn to a tunnel, you
finally meet the mysterious homeless dude.
Kill him and wait a second, next to him he'll drop the Key to Eternity. Now run to the end of the tunnel
and light a flare in the dark. Use the key at the hole to end the level.
