[Note] Some of the
animations look strange. I assume that they are similar to the new movements that
are found in Tomb Raider Legend. The author's notes also mention new modified
movements but I cannot translate the notes. [End note]
Cuevas de Africa
Slide down
a small slope and pick up a PDA. You can read
it but I cannot translate it. Jump down to a lower south ledge and pick up rocket explosive ammo and a rocket
launcher (Lanzacohetes). Safety drop down to
the floor of the jungle. Go to the north wall and enter the opening in the
wall. Drop into a small cave and go north to an opening. If it is too dark, use
a flare. You are given a lot of flares at the start. Slide down a slope and continue
down a tunnel. You emerge onto a ledge over a spike pit. Shoot two bats and just run and
jump over the pit. Go north and safety drop into another pit. Pull down the
wall switch on the north wall. A column rises behind you. Climb the column and
go south to see that the spikes are gone from the spike pit.
Go west and follow the tunnel to a
ledge over a pit. Slide down the slope
and jump over the spikes to grab the west ledge. Pull up and continue to the
west. Jump over a pit and enter a tunnel to shoot a bat. Follow the tunnel to a ledge over a
pit. Use the hanging rope to swing onto the ledge on the west wall near the
north-west corner. Go west to the end of the tunnel and climb the wall. Pull up
at the top and shoot a bat. Go east into a small cave and use a slide-wire to get over a
deep pit. Release at the end to grab the ledge of another cave. Pull up and go
to the south wall. Look up above you to the north and see a greenish wall that
you can climb. Climb to the top alcove for a large medipack and rocket explosive ammo. Climb back down to
the cave. Go to the south-east corner and enter a wide tunnel. Stay on the left
side wall side to avoid two spike traps that pop out of the right side wall.
Go south and slide down a slope. Go east and find some stairs. At the bottom
of the stairs go to the left and pick up a small medipack. Run up the stairs
and climb to a second set of stairs. Follow the stairs to the end and stop
before you drop off the top stair. Jump to the west and grab the greenish wall.
Climb the wall to the top and back flip to another outdoor jungle area. Go
south and loop around the gray wall to the left. Shoot a white tiger that is an
endangered species and you should probably just out run it. Go to the
north-east corner and jump up to grab the gray wall. Notice an opening with a
path at the east wall. Go to the end and jump to a block at the west wall. Pick
up a Jungle Key (Cargar Juego) and safety drop to the ground. Go east and use a small slope at
the base of the east wall to grab the east ledge. Shimmy to the left and pull
up onto a small path. Just follow the path in the valley and you find a key
lock and a door.
Use the key to open the door. Enter the
door and slide down a slope. You land in a small room and you need to kill a Shiva. Go to the south-west corner for a small medipack. Light a flare and
look north from the medipack. You should see a dark block. Move that block to
the east and push it against the large central structure. The block is
climbable so use it to get to the top of the structure. You may notice spikes
that pop up on the floor. You see a hole in the ceiling. Climb the wall under
the hole and pull up in front of a wall switch. Pull down the wall switch and
return to the floor. Be careful of the spikes and go to the south-east and
enter the open door.
Go south and dive into the water. Swim
down and follow the tunnel. Swim up a vertical shaft and pull up to a ledge on
the south side. Run and jump over the water to a north tunnel. Crawl down the
north tunnel as three spike traps pop out the wall above your head. Follow the
tunnel to a slope. Slide down the slope and jump at the end to grab a rope.
Swing to grab a second rope. Then swing and jump to another north tunnel.
Follow the tunnel and go through a crawl space. Run and jump over the spike pit
to grab the north ledge and pull into a crawl space. On the other side of the
crawl space, press ALT and the UP AROW to roll forward out of the crawl apace.
This must be one of the new movements.
Enter a small room and shoot a bat. Go south a pull a block out of the
wall. Enter the south tunnel and hop over the water to grab the edge of a crawl
space. Crawl in and pick up a small medipack. Get out and drop into the water. Just follow the underwater
tunnel and pull up into a large room. Use the rockets to destroy two Shivas. Go to the south-west corner of the
room. You can pick up rocket explosive ammo near the west wall. Use a flare and you can see that a tile in
that area has a brick-like pattern and the other tiles are plain. There is a
dark block in the south wall. Move the dark block onto that tile and the gate
opens in the south-east corner of the room. Enter the gate and pull up onto a
ledge. Go north and press the button on the wall. Return to the large room.
Go to the north-west corner of the
large room. Again you see a brick-like tile and a dark block. Move the dark
block onto that tile and the gate open in the north-east corner of the room.
Enter the gate and pull up onto a ledge. Go south and press the button on the
wall. You hear a door open. Return to the large room and the doors in the east
wall are open. There is a dark block to the right of the open doors. Pull he
block out of the corner and move the block to in front of the sloped block to
the right of the door. Run and jump to grab the east wall with the plain
texture. Climb up to the top ledge and pick up Uzi’s. Climb down to the floor and enter the
open doors. Run down the east tunnel towards the crawl space and the level
ends.
