Level 1: The Submarine

 

You start with a short flyby of Lara in an air duct. Follow the air duct to a crawl space. Be careful of the steam vent and shimmy around a hole and get into the air duct to the south. At the end of the crawl space, stand up and climb a ladder on the east wall. Pull up into another air duct and notice a trap door above your head that opens from above. That is for later. Go east and shoot the grate that blocks the path. Slide down a slope and into another air duct over a corridor. Go south and pull open a trap door. Drop into the corridor and go north to a T-junction and shoot a thug.

 

There are deadly lasers on the floor in the west corridor. That route is for later. Look east and see a closed door at the end of the corridor. Go east and turn to the right into a side corridor. You enter a room with deadly lasers on the floor. Jump over the lasers to the south floor. Push the movable mesh-box into the west corner to open a door. Enter the door and pull down a wall switch at the end of the corridor. Exit and push the movable mesh-box into the east corner to open a door. Enter the door and pull down a wall switch at the end of the corridor. As you exit, notice a yellow fuse in the water on the other side of the glass wall. Run and jump with grab to get over the lasers again to glide through the doorway and back to the entrance corridor. The door at the east end is open. Enter the door and follow the corridor to a section with lasers on the floor. Grab the ceiling and monkey swing over the lasers.

 

There is a closed door in the south wall. Enter the room to the north and pull down the wall switch in the north-west corner. Exit and enter the east room. Enter the north room and shoot the thug for a small medipack. If it lands under the desk, hop into the desk and use crouch to pick it up. Enter the south room to shoot a thug to prevent him from shooting you later. Exit to the central room and go to the east wall. Look up to see a hole in the mesh ceiling. Pull up into the corridor above you. Go down the west corridor and enter the room to the north. Go to the north-west corner and pull down a wall switch on the side of the west wall console. Go to the east wall and crouch beside the desk to pick up a large medipack. Exit this room and enter the room to the south. Go to the south-west corner and pull down a jump switch on the west wall. There is a small medipack on the box at the east wall. Exit this room and drop down to the lower room again.

 

Go west and enter the newly open door in the south wall. Pick up Silver Hawk ammo from the floor in the south-west corner. Go to the south-east corner and pull open the trap door. Drop into the water trench. Follow the trench but be careful of the steam vents on the walls. You can find blue shotgun ammo in front of a corner steam vent. You cannot get lost, as it is not a maze. You reach a room with a box hanging from a chain.  In that tunnel just before the room, you can pick up a small medipack off the floor. Save the game just in case you fall into the water. If you do fall, the water current carries you to the end of the room and you die. Jump onto the box and climb the chain. Near the top of the chain, back flip into a north tunnel. Go to the end of the tunnel and climb down a north wall. Near the bottom, release and grab a crawl space. Crawl to the other side and drop into a room.

 

Ignore the water hole at the sides of the room, as that water has the deadly current. Be careful of the steam and climb the north wall to pull up into a tunnel. Follow the tunnel and drop into a water tunnel. Swim to the end and pick up the yellow fuse. You cannot return by the same route. Swim upwards and pull up into a tunnel. Follow the tunnel and shoot a thug for a shotgun. Follow the tunnel to the end. Climb a ladder and shimmy to the left into another tunnel. Shoot a thug and follow the tunnel. Pull open a trap door and climb down the ladder to the tunnel where you started. Go east to slide down the slope again. Go east to drop into the lower corridor. Go north again to the T-junction.

 

This time, monkey swing over the west corridor lasers. On the other side go north into a large room. Shoot two thugs and pick up two Uzi ammo from the bodies. Go north and enter a control room. The west control room seems to contain nothing. Pick up Silver Hawk ammo from the floor near the large central column. Go to the north-east corner and shoot the grate in the upper east wall. Pull up into the crawl space that quickly opens into a tunnel. Go to the end and shoot the grates in both side tunnels. Take either side tunnel and follow it to another grate. Shoot the grate and enter the tunnel. At the end, shoot the grate in a crawl space. Go through the crawl space and onto a high walkway around a room.

 

Go south to shoot a grate, and follow the tunnel to the end. Shoot a grate in a corner alcove for red shotgun shells. Shoot another grate and enter the south tunnel. Pull open a trap door and drop into the room below to shoot the thug. Pick up the Silver Hawk off the box at the east wall. There is a key lock on the north wall and a closed door in the north-west corner. Pull down the wall switch in the south-east corner. Follow the south wall tunnel to a ladder. Climb the ladder and pull up into a north tunnel. Follow the tunnel through the open door into a room. Pick up flares at the east wall. Shoot the windows in the north wall. Although the lasers are red, they are safe. Jump through the safe red lasers and into the north room. Climb the tall cabinet at the east wall to pick up the Silver Key. Get down and shoot a thug that enters through the windows.

 

Shoot the grate in the upper west wall and pull up into a tunnel. Go to the end and pull open the trap door. Safety drop into the room below. There are deadly lasers on the floor. Jump to grab the central column and shimmy to the left around the column. Back flip onto the other safe platform. Be careful of the steam and pull down the two corner wall switches to open the central door. Go to the end of the tunnel for secret #1. Pick up a small medipack, Silver Hawk ammo, blue shotgun shells, and red shotgun shells. The shotgun is essential later so do not use all the shells. Grab and shimmy around the central column again. Pull up into the east tunnel and exit back to the earlier room. Jump through the safe red lasers again and exit by the south corridor. Climb down the ladder and shoot two thugs. Follow the tunnel back to the room with the key lock.

 

Use the key to open the door in the corner. Enter the room and be careful of the steam vents. Also here, the red lasers are safe to walk through. You reach a room with sloped walls and deadly lasers on the floor. Jump back and forth between the sloped walls and use an appropriate curve to reach the safe platform at the far side of the room. Be careful not to bump into the grate at the upper west wall or you are pushed onto the lasers. You could climb the wall, shimmy to the left, back flip, roll, grab the north wall, shimmy to the right to drop onto more sloped walls. However, I found it easier to run and jump to the north-east to get onto the sloped walls. Jump with a right curve and be careful of the low ceiling at the end. You should land on a safe platform to the east. Follow the east corridor and enter the only doorway into a small room. Shoot the grate in the upper east wall and pull up into the tunnel. Follow the tunnel to a four-way junction.

 

Follow the east tunnel and shoot a grate. Enter the room and pull down the wall switch on the west wall. A trap door drops near the entrance of the room. Go there and pull up into the room above. Notice a tunnel with a closed door in the south wall behind you. Follow the north tunnel to a T-junction. You see a key behind the window in front of you. Take either side tunnel around to enter a room with lasers on the floor. Pull down the wall switch next to the entrance doorway. Return to the room that you pull up into and go up the south tunnel. Enter the open door into a tall room. Pick up the crowbar from the floor.

 

Stand at the south wall and look up to the upper north wall and see a grate. Use the shotgun with wide shot ammo (blue shells) and look up to the grate. This way, Lara also aims the shotgun at the grate as well. Shoot the grate and climb the wall and pull up into an alcove. Then jump to a south ledge. If you have trouble shooting the grate, you can climb the wall and back flip to the south ledge. Enter an alcove and pull down a wall switch and get a cut scene of the room and now the lasers are off. Safety drop to the floor or climb down the north wall. Return to the room with the lasers. Go across the safe floor and pick up the Red Key. You get a cut scene of a console in a room somewhere. Exit the room and return through the tunnels back to the four-way junction.

 

Follow the north tunnel to the end and pull open a trap door. Safety drop into a large room filled with boxes. Climb the box in the south-east corner for flares. Climb the boxes in the north-east corner. Enter a short tunnel for two Uzi ammo. Drop to the floor and go east. There is also Uzi ammo on a high box between two brown boxes at the west wall. Look north and see more Uzi ammo on the high box. Drop to the floor and enter the tunnel in the north wall.

 

Enter another room of boxes.  There is Uzi ammo on the floor behind a box at the north wall. Use that box to run and jump onto some central boxes. Use the central boxes to get onto the boxes at the south wall. Pick up Uzi ammo and find a small medipack at the east wall. Use the central boxes again to get onto the boxes at the west wall. Find flares in a hole in the north-west corner. Jump east onto a box and drop north into another room of boxes. Use any convenient box to jump onto the central boxes for a large medipack.

 

Go west into another room with boxes. Climb the boxes at the north wall and get Silver Hawk ammo on the top of a high box. Go south and drop into a hole for grenade normal ammo. Climb the boxes at the east wall to drop into a hole for a small medipack. Go west again and drop into a hole for flares. Get onto the box column at the west wall for a small medipack. Finally go to the boxes near the middle of the south wall and use the crowbar to open a brown box. You can use a flare or the light from the binoculars to locate the correct box.  Enter the box and pick up the Silver Key. Exit these rooms of boxes and return to the four-way junction in the tunnels.

 

This time follow the south tunnel and pull open a trap door. Drop into the room and see a key lock and a door at the east wall. It is not obvious but you saw the location of second key lock in the cut scene but no key lock is actually there. Use the red key on the block at the west wall that you dropped onto. Now use the Silver Key to open the door at the east wall. Enter a glass tunnel and see tigers, wild pigs, and crocodiles in glass cages to either side. Go east and follow the first glass tunnel to the north. Pull up into the tunnel above. Follow the tunnel to find a room with two large generators. Place the fuse in a generator and get a cut scene of a door opening somewhere. Return to the lower tunnel and continue east. Follow the tunnel and enter the open door. Go into the room and the level changes.

 

Level 2: Deep Blue

 

You start with a flyby of an underwater area and surfacing to an area with walkways and a guard above the water. The flyby continues through some tunnels and ends with Lara. The lights flash to give you a headache. Follow the tunnel to a T-junction and turn to the left. Follow the tunnel to a door that opens as you approach. You enter into the large room with the walkways and the pool. It will take patience but try to shoot the guard on the upper walkways although you can shoot him later. But do try to shoot the fish in the pool.

 

Go to the north wire mesh floor and open up a trap door. Safety drop into a room with generators. Jump over the pipe at the south wall and shoot the fuse panel. Pull down the switch and exit the room by a north tunnel. The door closes behind you. Climb the ladder and pull up into an alcove. A trap door closes beneath you. Climb the upper south wall ladder and pull up onto the upper walkways. Shoot the guard, if you did not do it earlier, and pick up flares. You can go north and safety drop onto the floor with some health loss. If you jump into the pool, there is no obvious place to exit the pool. However, you can pull up through any side rail and onto the floor. The side rails are not solid.

 

Enter the open doorway in the west wall and be careful of the teeth doors. Go forward and the door opens as you approach. Enter the room and shoot two guards. Pull open a trap drop in the middle of the wire mesh floor. Drop into the water and pull down the two underwater levers on the north and south walls of the pool. The underwater door opens in the west wall. Go to the end of the tunnel and pull down an underwater lever. Now return to the first pool for air. Swim into the tunnel again and swim up a vertical shaft that is just inside the entrance. You are in the second pool that you saw from the outside. Pull only the north-west and south-west corner underwater levers. If you pull the levers near the windows, two fish attack.  Pull up through a trap door at the upper south wall and into a tunnel. Follow the tunnel and safety drop back into the room.

 

Enter the newly opened door in the north-east corner and follow the tunnel. Beware of more teeth doors in the dark tunnel. Enter a room to shoot a guard for red shotgun shells. Pull down the wall switch on the west wall to open a trap door at the top of the ladder in the east wall. Climb the east wall ladder to near the top. Back flip, roll, and grab a ladder to the west. Continue climbing and pull up into a tunnel. Jump over a hole and go west and enter a small room. Three doors open and six guards enter the room. I exited the room back into the tunnel. I dropped into the hole and just jumped up and down to shoot the guards from relative safety. When they are dead, return to the room and pick up three large medipacks and a Gray Key.

 

Enter the south room and pick up Silver Hawk ammo from a console. The north and west rooms contain nothing. All three rooms do give a good view of the outside water area with the deadly fish. Exit this room and carefully return down the two wall ladders. Back flip and roll again to grab the final ladder. Go through the tunnels with the teeth doors and return to the starting room and the pool. Dive into the poll and swim to the south-west corner. Pull up through the side rails and onto the ledge. Use the Gray Key on the console with the orange tank at the west ledge. Again this invisible key lock was not marked and I saw no cut scene. But it was beside the only closed door that was left.

 

Enter the open door and see a room behind a fence. Go north and crawl under the fence in the north-west corner. It is difficult but it seemed easier near the left side rather than at the wall side of the fence. Go to the middle of the room and back flip off the sloped wall to jump forward and grab an upper south ledge. Pick up flares and a small medipack. Then jump over to the north ledge. Enter the door in the east wall and go up the steps. Follow the tunnel to a moving laser trap. I used sprint with a jump to do a forward roll over the trap. It still took many tries and a large health loss. Save at the corner for the next set of traps. Follow the tunnel south and get pass three teeth door traps.

 

You emerge onto a ledge on the other side of the window. Go to the center of the ledge and face the fire block with the chain.  Jump up to grab an overhead ladder. Climb and back flip into a tunnel. Face north and jump to grab the edge of a fire block on a chain. Do not pull up but shimmy to the left to the other side of the block. Get into the climbing position and back flip into a tunnel. Go north to shoot two guards and pick up a Silver Hawk and a large medipack. Save the game in front of the switch at the end of the tunnel. Pull down the wall switch and return to the tunnel entrance. I could not jump back because of the fire on the block. Run and jump to the right side of the fire block and land on the lower south ledge. Then jump to the north and return by the tunnels with the moving laser traps and the teeth door traps to the same ledge with the sloped block on a chain.

 

Stand jump south to grab the top of a slope. Pull up, slide down and jump to the south ledge. Grab the edge and shimmy left pass the fence to the central section. Climb down the chain in the south wall alcove. The green water is deadly. Go south into a tunnel and run to the end. This tunnel was blocked earlier and was opened by the upper wall switch by the fire block. Pull down a wall switch and get a cut scene of an underwater trap door opening. Return to climb the chain and back flip to the ledge. Jump forward to sloped block to slide down and jump to the north ledge. You could return by the tunnel of death again but I did not. I climbed the ladder again back to the fire block on a chain. Then I safety dropped to the ledge below. Drop into the room below and crawl back under the fence in the corner. This time, stay near the wall side for the return trip.

 

Exit the room and return to the starting room. Dive into the pool and swim to the bottom of the structure. Swim up through the open trap door in the middle. Pick up grenade normal ammo, large medipack, grenade gun, and a Blue Security Pass (blue fuse). Swim back to the pool and pull up through any north side rail. Although you could climb the chain to back flip onto an upper walkway and then safety drop to the floor. Go through the door in the west wall. Pass the teeth doors again and enter the room from earlier. Go south to place the Blue Security Pass in the second receptacle in the east wall. The first one has been placed for you. You get a cut scene showing the earlier room under the wire mesh has been flooded. Return to the starting room and dive into the flooded room.

 

Swim into the underwater tunnel in the east wall. Follow the tunnel to a room and swim down the central hole in the bottom. You enter an underwater cave. Swim to the lower south-west corner to find the exit tunnel. Swim up to the surface and pull up to the nearest ledge. Then shoot the two fish that were trailing you. Work you way around the ledges to the rusty barrels at the north wall. Behind the barrels is a crawl space in the upper north wall. Stand on the high right side to jump and grab the crawl space. Follow the crawl space and it opens up into a large cave. You can find flares to the south-east in the water behind the central column.

 

Go to the north side of the cave. Back flip off a sloped waterfall to grab a column. Pull up and stand jump north to a higher ledge. Go west and jump to a corner ledge. Jump south to grab the top of a slope. Pull up, slide down and jump to another ledge. Jump to the corner ledge. Go east to use another sloped ledge and jump to another corner ledge. Climb the block to the left side of the ledge and jump onto the waterfall at the east wall. Follow the waterfall upstream as far as possible. Then follow a tunnel to the west and emerge into a large cavern. Continue north from the entrance and you should fall into a water pit to pick up a small medipack.

 

Go to the waterfall at the east wall and shoot the fish in the water. Dive into the pool and find blue shotgun shells and Uzi ammo on an underwater ledge. Exit the pool and go to the west wall. Go to the waterfall at the west wall and shoot the fish in the water. Dive into the water and swim through a green area at the bottom of the west wall. It is not obviously marked as a passable wall. Follow the underwater tunnel and pull up into a dry tunnel. Follow the tunnel to the end and climb the east climbable wall. Pull up onto a ledge overlooking the cavern floor. You see a rope hanging from the cavern ceiling.

 

Use the rope to swing over to the boxes on the north ledge.  Pull back the top east box to the west to reveal flares. Then push it back. Then pull back the top west box to the east to reveal a crawl space in the north wall. But do not enter it yet.  Go east and jump around the boxes to get to the waterfall at the east wall. Hop onto the waterfall and go up the tunnel to pick up Silver Hawk ammo. Return to the boxes in the north-east corner. Pull back the corner box to the south. You can use a side jump over the corner of the boxes. Go to the west box and push it east into the corner to reveal another tunnel. This block moving can be done later when you return to this area.

 

Go west to the first crawl space that you found. Do not enter the crawl space but hop up onto the corner box. Walk through the green area in the west wall and into another tunnel. It is not obviously marked as a passable wall. Just follow the tunnel until you reach a blue box. Pull the box back at least once. Return through the tunnel back to the large cavern. Now crawl through the first crawl space to emerge onto a ledge to the right of the east wall waterfall. Pick up a torch from the ground and save the game. Hop onto the south block and then jump up to the higher north block. Stand jump north to land by rusty barrels. Go north and move the boxes to reveal the second tunnel if you did not do it earlier. Go to the second tunnel and follow the tunnel to a fire. You have to throw the torch to get it through the tunnel. Light the torch and return to the ledge over the large cavern.

 

Drop down to cavern floor and enter the tunnel in the south wall. Follow the tunnel and waterfall downstream again back to the first cave. Save the game at the cave entrance. Throw the lit torch onto the ground and not into the water. Safety drop to the ground and pick up the lit torch. If your health is good, you can just drop onto the ground. Go north and run and jump into the tunnel in the north wall behind a blue box. Use the small mound to the right of the tunnel as a jump point and jump at an angle into the tunnel. Follow the tunnel to a small cave and throw the torch onto the wooden floor. The floor burns through to reveal a rusty ship. Now go to the east wall. Move a top box and pick up grenade flash ammo from underneath it. Climb the boxes in the north-east corner for a large medipack.

 

Jump down into the hole and into the rusty ship. Go west to use a wall switch to open the door in the west corner. Enter the room and pull back the box in the north-east corner and get blue shotgun shells. Climb the column in the corner to back flip onto an east ledge. Jump the ledges around the room to reach the west ledge. Notice a key lock and a closed door to the south. Enter a short west tunnel to see a trap door at the end. It would seem to be timed since if you are very slow, the trap door closes again. Go back to the ledge and wait for it to drop again. When you drop through, side jump to one side to avoid a steam vent. On the south side of the ledge is a small medipack.

 

Go to the edge of the water and shoot the fish in the water. Jump into the water and follow the underwater tunnel to the end. Pull up into a tunnel and go north to push a box into a large room. In the middle of the room is a deep pit. Go west to drop into a hole for red shotgun shells. Go north and enter the tunnel in the north-west corner. Follow the tunnel to a slope over a deadly pool and save the game. You see a blue structure at the north wall. Slide down and jump several sloped columns to grab the east side of that blue structure. Shimmy to the left around to the west side and release. Drop onto a slope and slide forward. Jump to grab a rusty wall and climb up. Near the top, back flip over the side rail and land on a safe ledge.

 

Pull up onto the box to the east and crawl to the east wall. You can drop into a side hole for Silver Hawk ammo. Go to the east corner and drop into a hole. Push a movable blue box to the north two times. Follow the tunnel to a slope and you can see a fire. Jump the slope and grab the ceiling. The first fire seems to be harmless. Time a monkey swing pass the second fire emitter and drop on the other side. Follow the tunnel to a junction. There are flares in the north tunnel but they just seem to be sitting on a spike trap. Go south and pull back the blue box once. Return through the tunnel with the fire traps again. You can jump over the fire on the way back and ignore the monkey swing. Go down the tunnel and see the wall switch that was behind the blue box. Pull down the wall switch and exit back to the ledge with the boxes. An alternate way would be to push the blue box forward, use the wall switch, and pull the blue box back. But you still have to return by the fire route.

 

Crawl over the boxes to the south and then to the west to reach an open door in the west wall. First go to the end of the dark west tunnel for a large medipack. Sprint through the spikes (glass shards) in the north tunnel. Pick up a large medipack and the Old Key. Sprint back through the spikes. Exit the room for a very hard jump. I started the run from the open doorway. Jump with grab over the side rail to land at the far left corner of the open doorway below. It is a frustrating jump as you often slide backwards into the deadly pool.

 

Follow the tunnel back to the room with the deep pit. Climb the boxes and enter the tunnel in the south wall. Swim back to the ledge with the steam trap. Grab the wall and climb up through the trap door when it opens. Exit onto the ledge and go south. Use the Old Key to open the door to the south. Run through the steam traps to the end wall. Pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene of a trap door opening. Go through the steam traps and the trap door again. Swim back to the room with the deep pit. Go to the north-east corner and follow the tunnel. Climb the ladder and go though the open trap door. The tunnel ahead is a dead end. But exit to the right and onto an upper ledge with boxes.

 

As you enter, jump up onto the tall boxes at the east wall for two Uzi ammo. Go to the west side and pull back two boxes from the north wall to reveal a wall switch. Pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene with the deep pit being filled with water. Jump off the ledge and into the water. Swim down to the bottom and enter the underwater tunnel in the west wall. After a very long swim pull up into a tunnel. Follow the tunnel into another large room with a central column.

 

Climb the boxes in the north-east corner. Get around to the center of the ledge and jump south to grab the climbable central column. Climb up the column and shimmy around to the right to drop onto a ledge. Run and jump to the south-west to land on a ledge for secret #2. Pick up grenade normal ammo and a large medipack. Safety drop to the ground and go north. Enter the opening at the north wall and the level changes.

 

Level 3: Underwater Catacombs

 

You hear a door open ahead of you. Go east and see two wall switches and hear a something coughing. Use the two wall switches and the doors open in front of you. Enter the doors and the camera view changes. You are in a large main room with a small central pool. To the east are closed doors that need two items to open them.

 

Go south and under the archway. Go to the south-west corner and pull up a decorated trap door in the corner floor. Climb down the wall into a tunnel. Go west and jump over the hole with the trap door. A ball drops into the hole behind you. There is a wall switch in the hole as well. You get to use that wall switch much later when the ball is removed. Go west and enter a room. Retreat back into the tunnel and shoot three raptors. You can lure them into the tunnel and then back flip over the hole and shoot them in safety. Return to the room and see a pool and a closed underwater door. Go around the pool and push an obvious movable block to one side. Pull down the wall switch and dive into the pool. Enter the open door and follow the underwater tunnel.

 

Pull up into a small room and shoot three green dinosaurs. The little guys are also poisonous if they bite you. Pull back the body of the dead guard and pick up the shotgun. Go up the blocks to the upper ledge and shoot a green dinosaur. Go to the end of the ledge and jump north to pull down a jump switch. You get a cut scene of a block rising near the doors needing two items. Swim back to the first room and exit the pool. Go through the tunnel and climb the wall and return to the main room with the small pool. Go east and climb the block to the left of the doors. Pull up onto the wooden bridge. On the ledge behind you is a large medipack next to a skeleton. Jump to the south-west ledge. Then jump over the side rails and onto the upper south balcony.

 

Go south down any ramp and onto a balcony. You get a flyby of the area. Be careful of the wall darts and shoot the guard on the far south ledge. Jump down to the roof below you and go south. Jump over the gap and grab the edge of a thin platform. Pull up and continue south to a pit. Jump and grab the back wall and climb down to the bottom. Turn around and run north and dive into the water. Pull up on the other side of the pool and shoot a raptor from a safe position. Go south and jump over the two floor blades. Jump over the east side rail and pick up a small medipack. Go south down a ramp and up the other side.  Go up the left side and a ball drops on the right side. Continue up the right side and a ball drops on the left side.

 

You enter a long room with a deep pool in front of you. You can see two wall switches on the side walls but a block needs to be raised beneath them. Dive into the pool and enter the underwater tunnel in the east wall. Go straight, then left and then right to a four-way junction. Go right and right again to find Uzi's. From there, go left, right, right, and left to pull down an underwater lever. A trap door opens beside you. Swim through the trap door and surface for air. You cannot get out of the water so swim back to the first pool for air. Swim back into the tunnel and go straight, left, and right to the four-way junction. Then go left, right, left, right, and left for Silver Hawk ammo. Then go left and right for a small medipack and see a closed gate and an underwater lever behind it. Swim back to the first pool and surface.

 

Pull up on the north side and go to the end of the room. Dive into the water hole in the north-east corner. This is not a maze so just follow the twisting tunnel and pull up into a tunnel with a floor blade. Crawl under the floor blade and drop into the next water hole. Follow the short tunnel and pull up into a small dark room. Hop onto the block in the north-east corner and pull down the wall switch. Swim back to the room with the pool and go south to see the two blocks under the wall switches. Pull down the two wall switches and dive into the pool again. Swim back to where you saw the closed gate. The gate is open. Pull down the underwater lever and hear a flushing sound. Swim back but not to the first pool. At the four-way junction, go left and swim to the open trap door and surface for air. The water has risen so pull up onto the south ledge. If you swim back to the first pool, the room is flooded and there is no place to get air so you die. Go to the east side of the pool and jump over the side rail to grab the green column. Climb up near the top, back flip, roll, and grab a ledge. Pull up onto the ledge and into another area.

 

You can see a block and a tunnel to the south. But first, jump onto the east ramp and go down the east tunnel. Get pass the swinging lamp and slide down a slope into an alcove. Pull down the wall switch on the east wall. Return by the same route back to the room you left. Go south and see that a block has dropped. The lantern on the post is a movable object. Push the lantern into the tunnel at the south wall. Push it down the long tunnel and onto a block at the end of a ledge. The water in the room is safe. If you dive in you can see a trap door and a wall switch that is under the water and not useable now. Hop on the higher south-east corner ledge and the block with the lantern descends. Now move the lantern in front of the door in the south wall and the door opens. This door is the exit for later.

 

Follow the tunnel to the east. You emerge into a large room and the camera view changes. There is deadly water at the bottom of the room. Look out to the west and notice the route through the large room. I think that the idea is to monkey swing across the ceiling. Turn to the right and drop onto a slope. Back flip, roll and jump with a curve to grab the back wall. Climb down, back flip and jump with a curve to land on a block. Jump some slopes and end up on the blocks at the west wall. I used full health and just dropped onto the block at the north wall just below my location. The other route was too painful.

 

Enter the north wall tunnel for blue shotgun shells. Enter the south wall tunnel and time a safe path through the fire emitters. Enter a side tunnel and ignore the climbing wall for now. Climb down into the next tunnel and follow it to the end. You will pass an underwater room. Pull down a wall switch and hear a water trickling sound. Return and notice an open trap door in the underwater room. Climb the wall and now climb the wall you ignored earlier. Go forward and the door opens for you. Go left and see that the water has drained from the room. Drop into the room and pull the wall switch in the west column. You get a cut scene of a pool of water that is back in the main starting room. The pool under the trap door contains nothing. I guess it was there to cushion the drop into the room. Climb the block in the north-east corner. Perform a hard diagonal run and jump and grab the ledge to the south. Pull up onto the ledge and enter the south tunnel.

 

Follow the tunnel and slide down a very long slope. At the bottom, climb up the west wall of a long vertical shaft. Pull up into a room where you started. Go west and north to return to the main room. Go north and under the archway. Go to the north-west corner and climb the tall tree with green leaves. Back flip onto the upper balcony. There is the pool from the cut scene. Had you been here earlier, the pool would have been a dry pit. Shoot the creature on the east side of the pool. Dive into the pool and pull down the underwater lever on the north wall. There seems to be nothing in the two side pools. Jump to the tree and return to the main room.

 

Go east and use the block to get onto the wooden bridge again. Jump onto the north-west ledge. Jump over the side rails onto the north balcony. Shoot a guard and a green dinosaur. Go west and pick up Uzi ammo to the left of the open door. Enter the open door in the west wall. Pick up a Blue Crystal #1 off the pedestal at the end of the tunnel. Return to the side rail where you entered this balcony. Look west and see a rocky ledge. Run and jump to the west over the side rail and use a right curve to land on that rocky ledge. Go to the west end and run and jump with a right curve to the south and onto the west balcony. Shoot the creature before it poisons you.

 

Enter the left west doorway and go south up the ramp. Run into a side alcove to avoid a rolling ball. Go to the top of the ramp and pull up into the crawl space at the east wall. Just follow the crawl space. You will find crossbow normal ammo in a small side space. Continue and drop into a hole. Continue the crawl space on the other side.  Stop in front of a hole and shoot a green dinosaur on the other side. Get into the hole and pull up on the other side for flares. Continue in the crawl space and shoot two green dinosaurs. The grenade gun is useful here, as you cannot move and get aim with the pistols. Continue to the end of the crawl space and find a wall switch. Shoot another green dinosaur that sneaks up behind you. Pull down the wall switch and start the long crawl back to the ramp.

 

Go down the ramp and ignore the side rooms for now. Go north and up another ramp. Stop at the top and see an open door at the end of several traps. The door is timed. If it closes go back onto the ramp and go north again into the room to open it. The traps include spikes from the ceiling, floor blade, and a swinging lamp. Use full health and just run for the door. Jump over the floor blade and just take the health loss. Save inside the door after it closes behind you. You are at a T-junction with ramps in both tunnels. Run down the right tunnel ramp with a rolling ball behind you. Near the bottom turn to the left and jump over a floor blade as the ball rolls behind you and opens a door.

 

Push in a movable block as far as possible. Enter the side tunnel and pull down the wall switch. Hop back towards the ammo on the floor and then run forward into the side tunnel to avoid a rolling ball. Then return to safely pick up the blue shotgun shells. Return to the floor blade and jump over it. Go up the ramp and continue up to where the rolling ball started. A door up there is now open. Enter the door and follow the tunnel to a wall switch. Pull down the wall switch and exit back to the entrance door. The entrance door is open but now you can take your time to get pass the deadly traps. Wait a while and shoot another creature that has appeared. Go pass the traps and sprint down the ramp to jump over the hole at the bottom as a rolling ball falls into the hole behind you.

 

Go to the center of the room and watch out for wall darts. Go to the west wall and pull down the two wall switches. You may have seen the switches blocked off by walls before. The switches in the tunnels removed the walls. Go east and loop around to the left, pass the rolled ball, and into an open door. Enter the room and dive into the water. Swim into the underwater crawl space in the lower west wall. Swim to the end and surface near a slope. Pull up and back flip onto a block behind you. Shoot a raptor on the east ledge and then pull up onto it.

 

Pull back the dead guard and find a small medipack. Go south into an alcove. Enter a west alcove and pick up Uzi ammo from a pedestal. Go east and grab the ceiling and monkey swing over to the jump switch on the east wall.  Pull down the jump switch and the door opens on the ledge with the dead guard. Exit the room and go north back to the room with the pool. Swim again and jump back to the ledge. Enter the open door to the north. Go to the end and monkey swing under the bridge to an opening in the north wall. Shoot a green dinosaur and loop around to the right to another opening. Jump onto the ledge and then onto the bridge. Follow the bridge north into a short tunnel. Pull down the wall switch and go back onto the middle of the bridge. Jump to grab a crawl space in the west wall. Follow the crawl space to the end and drop into a hole. Get out and go south. Jump over a room and into a tunnel at the south wall. Go to the end and pull down a wall switch. You get a cut scene back to the trap door with the wall switch. The ball has dropped so put the wall switch back to the original position to close the trap door.

 

Safety drop to the ground and go east to exit the area. Jump over the side rail and land in the main room. Go south and then west to get back into the tunnel. Drop into the hole and pull down the wall switch. Get out and climb the wall back into the main room. A block has dropped in the south fence. Shoot a raptor that has come to investigate. Enter the fence and go south to a room with a pool. Notice a fancy red tile in the corner at the north wall. Dive into the water and pull the underwater lever in the lower north-east corner. Pull up to any ledge and shoot a raptor. Enter the east wall tunnel and jump over the five spike traps. Shoot the vase to open a door in the west wall. Enter the door and push the movable block to the end. Go back through the spike traps again to the pool. Move the block around the pool and onto the fancy red tile at the north wall. A block descends near you at the pool. Go there and pick up Blue Crystal #2.

 

Exit the tunnel back to the main room. Go east and use the two crystals to open the east doors. Enter the doors and ignore the floor blades. The floor is breakable so break any tile. Drop into the pit and get onto a block. Run and jump into the opening in the south-west corner. Follow the tunnel and go through a triangular crawl space. Follow the next tunnel to a room. Go to the south wall and pick up the Ancient Key and the Golden Idol from the pedestal. Be sure to get both items.  A door opens in the south wall. Enter the door and slide down the slope as the level changes.

 

Level 4: Temple of Life

 

You land in a large room and get a flyby of the area. Go to the south-west corner and pick up Uzi ammo from the floor. Go to the north-west where you see a steam vent. Be careful of a floor blade trap in the entrance near the steam vent. Enter the tunnel and shoot a knight. Go to the end of the tunnel and pull down a trap door from the ceiling. Pull up to the south and onto the second floor. You may see a place for an item ahead of you. Climb down the ladder into the hole in front of you. Notice the key lock on the west wall. Go to the north-west corner and find a small medipack in the bushes. Go south and shoot two gremlins. Continue south to the end and see a large statue with sloped blocks to both sides. Back flip off either slope and jump forward to grab a ledge. Pull up to the second floor. Go north and jump over the gap to land at a wall switch. If you look south you can see an item on a pedestal with an electrical arc.

 

Pull down the wall switch and safety drop to the ground. Go south behind the statue to find the open gate. Enter a room and see a pool. Dive into the water and swim through the large crack in the west wall. Then go south and then west into another room. Swim into a triangular opening behind the statue in the north-east corner. Enter the room for secret #3. Pick up grenade flash ammo and red shotgun shells. Now swim back to the pool get some air. Dive in again and this time swim into the south room. Pull down the underwater handle on the block on the ceiling in the middle of the room. It is almost impossible to see because of the white color background on the block. Swim back to the pool and surface.

 

Use the slopes by the statue again to get to the upper floor. The gate is open to the south. Jump over the gap and into the room. Shoot two knights that appear from the sides of the room. You can jump back to the ledge and with patience shoot them from a safe distance. Go behind to the wall side of the pedestal and pick up the Yellow Stone. I could not pick it up from the front side. Exit the room to the first floor. Go north and climb the ladder to the second floor again. Go south and place the Yellow Stone in the yellow receptacle near the blue gates. Two doors open to the east of you.

 

Enter the room and dive into the pool for the laser sight. Just run around this area until you attract and shoot the two knights. Go to the pool again and notice a pit to the south of the pool. This is for later but remember where it is. Go north and find the only large blue statue on that side of the room. The block behind that statue is movable. Push it to one side and enter the next area. You get a long flyby of fire emitters, climbable walls and a zip-line. The red water is deadly. Go to the north-west and jump onto the platform beside the column. Stand at the right side of the platform and jump to grab the column. Climb up and shimmy to the right. Back flip, roll, and grab the next column. Shimmy around to the right. Back flip, roll, and grab the next column. Shimmy around to the right and drop on a safe ledge.

 

Climb the north wall to pull up onto a higher ledge. Go east to see a tunnel with circular cutters. Ignore it for now and go to the end of the ledge and drop into a hole and onto a safe ledge. Do the same back flip, roll, and grab procedure on the columns. At the last column climb down and shimmy under the fire emitter. Then climb to the top and back flip and roll. Slide down a slope and grab the blue ladder. Shimmy to the right and get secret #4. Shoot a gremlin and go to the west side to pick up Uzi ammo from a bush and Silver Hawk ammo from the corner pedestal. Go back to the blue ladder, shimmy to the left and pull up. Now back flip, roll, and jump with a right curve to land on the slope behind you and slide down backwards. Grab the edge and climb down the column. Perform the back flip, roll, and grab procedure to get back to the safe platform to the north.  Pull up north to the higher ledge and go to the tunnel with the circular cutters.

 

Go through the two circular cutters by your favorite method. I use side jumps. At the end of the tunnel, climb the ladder and back flip into a tunnel. Follow the tunnel south and shoot a blue vase. A wraith starts to attack so run back down the tunnel and drop in water to extinguish the wraith. Return to the tunnel and pick up a small medipack that was under the vase. Continue south and onto a balcony with the zip-line. Use the zip-line and drop at the end. Climb the column to the upper ledge. Go to the east end and pick up the Temple Key from the pedestal. To get back, drop to the lower level and stand between the two columns with the ladders. Back flip onto a slope and slide down. Grab the edge and shimmy to the right. Safety drop onto the platform where you started the trip. You loose about half your health. Jump over the deadly water and exit south back to the other room. I could not get the shells on the fire emitter platforms, as I did not find a way to stop the fire emitters.

 

Exit this room to the west and climb down the ladder into the room below. Go to the west and use the Temple Key to open the gate beside it.  Enter the gate and see a trap door in the water near the plant. First go west and get a cut scene of a horseman mounting his horse. Shoot the horseman and pick up the Crystal Symbol that is dropped. Go east and pull open the trap door near the plant. Dive into the water and follow the underwater tunnel to a partially flooded room and swim to the surface for air. Dive into the bottom room and swim into the lower south-east corner. Follow the underwater tunnel for secret #5. Pick up flares and Uzi ammo and swim back to the flooded room and surface.

 

Dive into the water and swim under the east ledge. Pull down the underwater handle that is hard to see because of the white background circle. This switch is required to exit the room so it can be done later. Pull up to the south ledge and climb a blue ladder to the higher ledge. To the north you can see a red-lit room with electrical arcs. To the south is a movable globe on a blue floor. Parts of the blue floor are deadly fire traps. Look through the floor and see the fire areas and the safe path to push the globe. Be careful at the final push, as there is a fire trap behind you.

 

Exit the room and go east to enter the open gate. Jump over the fence and swim north. The water current carries you to the end of the underwater tunnel. Pull up into a dry tunnel. Go though the north crawl space. Do not drop on the other side. Get into the climbing position and back flip over the deadly water. Pull down the wall switch and return back through the crawl space. The current is gone so swim south and pull up onto the west ledge near two windows. On the left window is a jump switch. Pull down the jump switch and swim back south to the earlier room. You can pull up through the fence to return to the ledge.

 

Go to the north-west corner and find the open gate. Enter the room and see two bulls guarding a floor lever. Go south and use the wall switches to open the two gates.  Go to the floor lever and the bulls awaken. I think the idea is to lure the bulls into the south rooms and lock them in. I just used the floor lever and ran out of the room and ignored the bulls. As you exit the room you may see some red dots floating in the air. This seems to be an invisible statue that just gets in your way.

 

Dive into the water below and pull up on the north ledge. Go north and find a large opening in the north wall. Go down the ramp and see platforms in the deadly water. There is a jump switch at the back wall and a rope hanging from the ceiling. That last floor lever by the bulls released the rope. Run and jump to the first platform. Jump and grab the rope. Swing forward and release to pull down the jump switch. Drop and quickly back flip onto a safe platform. You get a cut scene of two gates opening back near the start of the level. Jump the platforms to the south and go up the ramp to exit this room.

 

Climb the ladder again to the upper floor. Go north and into the red-lit room. This floor was deadly before but pulling down the underwater handle switch made it safe. Pull back the dead guard's body. The body can only be pulled for one tile. Dive into the water and into the central hole. This exit was blocked by a gate until you pulled back the dead body. Follow the underwater tunnel and swim back to the trap door. Pull up and go east and turn north to see the two gates that you opened.

 

Enter and go up the right side of the ramp as a rock falls on the left side. Go east up another ramp to a narrow room. Go to the south-east alcove and pick up Silver Hawk ammo. Go to the north-east alcove and use the Crystal Symbol in the receptacle. You get a cut scene of a cage rising ands three wraiths being released. Roll and run down the west tunnel to drop into the water to extinguish the wraiths. Exit the water and go down the ramp to climb the ladder to the higher room. Go to the south-west to find the cage.

 

Back flip off the south slope to grab the top of the cage and pull up. Run and jump to pull up to the south ledge with the big green plant. Grab the ledge to the right of the plant. Straight at the bottom of the plant does not seem to work, as you can grab the ledge but cannot move. Go west and the camera view will change. Pull up onto the west wall. Go west onto the higher ledge and see a floor lever behind two closed gates. Look up to the east and see a swing ball at the ceiling. Combine the Silver Hawk and the laser sight and shoot the ball. One of the gates opens behind you and two wraiths are released. Carefully get down to the ground and go east and into the water to get rid of the wraiths.

 

Return to the cage and back up onto the south ledge. Go west again and onto the west wall. Look at the south wall for a crevice. Grab the crevice and shimmy to the left as far as possible. Pull up onto a ledge and jump into the opening in the building to the north. Climb down the ladder into a room. Use the floor lever and get a cut scene of a gate opening. Climb the blue ladder to the east to get onto a ledge. Run and jump the west ladder and climb to the top. The camera view will change. Go south to safety drop to the ledge. Slide down to the floor and return north and east to the room with the pool.

 

Go south from the pool and see a pit. Climb down a ladder into the pit. To the south are three gates. The block between the middle and right side gate is a movable block. Push the block into the room. The gate that you opened is ahead of you. Monkey swing over the deadly water. Use the Ancient Key from the last level in the key lock. You get a cut scene showing a fence starting to open.

 

Monkey swing back over the deadly water and exit this room. Return to cage to get onto the south ledge again. Get onto the west ledge and go to the north end. Go north and look up to see a monkey swing. Monkey swing to the east and drop into a north-east alcove. Jump to the south-west alcove and use the floor lever. Safety drop to the ground and use the cage again to get to the upper west ledge. The second gate is open so enter the tunnel. Use the floor lever and exit the tunnel. Get back to the ground and go north and east back to the room with a pool. A cage has risen beside the pool.

 

Back flip off a slope to get onto the cage. Then use the blocks to pull up onto the higher wall beside you. You may see a knight in the distance on a higher ledge. Go south to the end and then jump the ledges to the east. Pull up to a higher ledge and see a receptacle. You do not have that item. To the north there is a similar receptacle with spikes and a dead guard. Hop on the south-east ledge for a large medipack. Jump to the south ledge and shoot the knight. Jump to the north-west ledge and then down to the large north ledge. Jump into the circular hole in the north wall and the level changes. You will return here later when you get the item.

 

Level 5: Hall of Mask

 

Slide down a slope and stop at the end. You get a flyby of the large room. Go west and jump over the gaps in the broken bridge. On the west ledge, notice two wall torches on the side columns. The floor of the room is a deadly fore trap. Climb the gray blocks at the entrance and grab the ceiling. Monkey swing over the floor to the safe platform at the west wall. Run and jump to grab the south corner column. Shimmy to the left and climb up. When Lara's hands are on the fifth white bar from the ceiling, back flip, roll, and grab the top of a sloped block. Pull up, slide down, and jump to grab a platform. Pull up and quickly run to the left and jump to the central ledge. Spikes pop up on the ledge that you left.

 

Pick up torch from a pedestal and run off the ledge at an angle and onto the safe floor below. Jump the broken bridge back to the starting ledge. Jump the blocks to the south and onto a ledge to light the torch. Stand jump back to the starting ledge. Cross the broken bridge again and light the two wall torches on the side columns. Drop the torch and cross the broken bridge again. Jump to the wall torch in the north-east corner. Then run and jump to the north to pull up through an open door and into the north corridor.

 

Go west and stop in the first depression in the floor. Push open the double doors to the north. Run through the tunnel and be careful of the blade ball trap and floor blade trap. Run out onto a ledge but be careful not to fall off the end. A demigod on the floor starts to shoot at you. Run and jump north to a sloped wall and climb down the ladder to the floor and shoot the demigod. The water in the room is safe to run through. Go east and enter either side tunnel in the corner. Use the safe tiles to jump over the obvious deadly tiles to get to the floor lever at the west wall. Pick up a small medipack and use the floor lever. Notice that a rope has dropped from the ceiling. Jump the tiles to get back into the room.

 

Go to the north corner and climb the blue ladder. At the top, release, grab, and shimmy to the left. Then pull up, back flip, roll, and grab the entrance ledge. Go to the ledge and face the rope. Shoot the vase on the pedestal at the east ledge and a platform rises on the south wall. Run and jump to the platform and then run and jump to grab the rope. Swing on the rope and land on the east ledge. Use the floor lever and get a cut scene of a gate rising in a tunnel. Safety drop to the floor and climb the blue ladder to get to the entrance ledge. Exit through the tunnel and crawl under the blade ball trap and return to the corridor.

 

Go west and push open the next double doors. This tunnel is blocked off so just ignore it.

 

Go west and push open the next double doors.  Quickly enter the tunnel as spikes pop up behind you. Be careful of the teeth doors and continue to the circular cutters. Get through the circular cutters and go to the end of the tunnel. This was the gate that the floor lever opened. Climb the ladder and back flip into a tunnel.  Go down the tunnel and shoot the knight. Now pull the wall switch at the tunnel entrance. Sprint down to the other end and climb the wall. The timed trap door rises beneath you. Drop onto the door and go north in the new tunnel.

 

Sprint through the tunnel as spikes pop up behind you. You enter a room with a closed gate and a water pool. Dive into the water and enter the east underwater tunnel. Swim and be careful of spikes dropping from the ceiling. When you see a fish, swim back and pull up. Shoot the fish and enter the water again. In the underwater tunnel you will see an air hole and a closed gate above you. You come to an area with four underwater doors. Open all the doors. You can surface in each room for air if you need it.

 

Enter the north-west room and pull down a wall switch in an alcove.

 

Enter the south-west room and pull down a jump switch in an alcove. There is a crowbar in the plant at the south-west corner.

 

Enter the north-east room and pull up into the alcove. Run and jump to pull down the jump switch on the north wall. There is a large medipack in the plant at the entrance.

 

Enter the south-east room and pull up into the alcove. Notice the closed gate in the south wall. The tall gate is open so you can enter the north room.

 

Notice that the wall switch in the north-west room is up again. It must have been timed. The wall switch opens the timed gate in the south-east room. Swim back there, pull down the wall switch, and swim back to the south-east room. Pull up, roll, and run and jump with no grab into the south tunnel before the timed gate closes. This is a really tight timed run. If you have to swim on the surface of the water or grab the edge of the tunnel you have lost. When you make it, the gate stays open. Do not run into the tunnel as there is fire trap in front of you. Grab the ceiling and monkey swing over the fire trap. Pick up Uzi ammo and the torch in the bushes. Save the game. Stand in the location of the ammo and throw the torch over the fire trap. Monkey swing over the fire trap and pick up the torch. Go to the edge and stand jump over the water and into the north doorway.

 

Enter the room and go to the west end to light the torch. Stand at the side to avoid falling icicles. Go east and only light the left wall torch and the cage lowers in the alcove. The right wall torch is a spike trap. Enter the alcove and use the floor lever and get a cut scene of a gate opening near water. Dive into the water and swim into the entrance tunnel to the west. Surface in a hole and pull up through the open gate. Pick up a large medipack and go north. Jump over the floor blade and watch out for a blade ball trap dropping from the ceiling. Pull down a wall switch and get a cut scene of an underwater level in a tunnel by an open door. Crawl under the blade ball trap and jump over the floor blade to get back to the water. Swim back to the room where you started and remember the ceiling spikes. Swim north into the tunnel and pull down the underwater lever. Get out of the water and go north to the open gate.

 

Enter the room and two demigods appear on the high ledges. The Silver Hawk and laser sight is useful here to shoot them both. You can take cover in the doorway. Climb the ladder at the entrance and back flip to a high corner ledge. Run and jump north to get to the ledges of the demigods. Pick up two Crystal Stars from the ledges. Now run and jump to grab the north archway. Stand in front of the blue column and look up to see a jump switch above you. Pull down the jump switch and get a cut scene showing a cage rising back near the level entrance ledge. Safety drop to the floor. Place the two Crystal Stars in the north wall receptacles and the gate opens in the north tunnel. Enter the tunnel and jump around a swinging spike bag. Then monkey swing over the deadly fire traps on the floor. At the end, pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene of a water trench that has been drained.

 

Drop into the dry trench and into the hole at the bottom. Pick up the Mechanism Element (cog wheel) from the floor and climb out of the trench. Continue south into the entrance tunnel. The spikes are gone and the trap door is open. Pass by the circular cutters and the teeth doors again and return to north corridor.

 

Go west and push open the next double doors. Step inside the door and a harpy appears someplace. On the first try, the harpy appeared in the tunnel. On a second try, the harpy appeared in the corridor to the east of the door. The ledge ahead is a spike trap. Drop into the water and pull up onto the lower ledge. Then jump and pull up to the back ledge to pick up the large medipack. Drop into the water and swim into the underwater tunnel in the south wall. Follow the twisting tunnel and emerge into a pool. Below you is a tunnel in the pool floor but a closed gate blocks it. Above you are four connected bridges. There is a large medipack in the water on the east ledge near the waterfall.

 

Climb the block at the north wall and grab the bridge above you. But do not pull up onto the bridge and into the spike trap. Shimmy to the right, around the inside corner to the west wall. Pull up and quickly run and jump to the south to land on a ledge as spikes pop up on the bridge. Look to the north-east and see a ledge with a plant. You have to go there. Jump to the grab the next bridge, pull up and jump to an east ledge. Jump to the grab the next bridge, pull up and jump to a north ledge. Go behind the plant and pull down the jump switch on the west wall. You hear a door open. Grab the crevice in the west wall and shimmy to the left around the block to find the open door.

 

Climb the ladder and back flip to a ledge. Look south and shoot the blue vase on the opposite ledge. A platform rises in front of its location between the two slopes. Jump to grab the block to the west and go to the corner. Monkey swing across the room to the south end. Face east and drop to a slope. Jump forward with a right curve to land on another slope. Slide down and grab the edge. Shimmy to the left to the raised platform and pull up. Climb the blue ladder and shimmy to the left. Climb the second blue ladder to the top ledge and shoot a harpy. Go to the bridge walkway in the middle of the room and drop into a hole. Pull down the wall switch and back flip out of the hole. If you stay in the hole, a trap door opens beneath you and a spike ball drops on your head as you fall into the water. Wait a little and then jump into the hole and fall into the water below. Swim into the bottom hole and follow the tunnel to the open gate. Continue swimming and surface into a small room.

 

You see a movable pedestal cube on a block. The wall switch on the block controls a cage at the south wall. Climb the ladder on the north wall and back flip onto the upper floor. Notices the cages in the side rooms behind the bars. Shoot the four vases to raises the cages in the floor below. One vase is just a blade trap. Climb down the ladder to the lower floor. Move the pedestal cube to the middle of the south wall. Use the wall switch on the block to raise the pedestal cube to the upper floor. Climb the ladder and back flip to the upper floor again. Pull the pedestal cube back one tile. Then push it onto the east tile and then the west tile. Those tiles look solid and on all the other tiles you can see the room below. Two cages have dropped in the east and west side rooms. Go to the side rooms and press the two wall buttons that were blocked by the cages.

 

Return to the room and see a flashing green light on the floor near a plant on the west ledge. Move the pedestal cube onto that tile in front of the plant. You get a cut scene of an underwater door opening when you get the correct tile. Get to the lower floor and back into the water. Follow the tunnel to the pool and then swim into the entrance tunnel to the south. Follow the tunnel back to the room where you dropped into the water from the corridor. Notice that an underwater door has opened in the north wall. Get some air and enter the underwater tunnel. Swim over the plant and then down into a tunnel. Follow the twisting tunnel to the end and pull up at the bottom of a ramp.

 

Follow the ramp to a closed gate needing two items that you do not have. But now you know where the two items go when you do get them. Pick up the blue shotgun shells in the corner and return down the ramp. Swim back to the room and pull up to the ledge. Jump south and go back into the corridor. Go east to the end and return back to the lever start. Notice the cage that has risen. Jump the blocks to get to the top of the cage and pull up south onto the top balcony. Cross the balcony to the south side. Look down to the left and you can see a closed gate. This gate is open by a floor lever on the west balcony. Look south to see a many climbable walls that extend to the west end of the room. Do not go that way, as it is the way back.

 

Go to the north edge and see a similar set of climbable walls. You should know the procedure to shimmy, back flip, roll, and grab the next wall. At the end, back flip onto a small ledge. Climb the blocks and drop onto the west balcony. Use the floor lever and go south for the trip back. Slide down and grab the wall and start going east. On the last column, stay on the left side with your back to the room. Back flip, roll, and jump with a right curve to land on a ledge below you. You may need full health for this. Jump to the wall torch and then run and jump into the south corridor.

 

Go west and push open the first set of double doors. Enter the tunnel and follow the tunnel to the end and the level changes. You will return here later for the remaining double doors.

 

Level 6: Mistical Sanctuary

 

You start in a tunnel. If you turn around and run you go back to the previous level. Follow the tunnel to the end. The camera view changes to get a view of a large area with a wooden bridge spanning the floor area. Go to the north-east corner and pick up the grenade gun. The closed door in the east wall needs a receptacle. There is another receptacle to the south-west. Get under the bridge and pull up onto the low middle section of the bridge. You can see a receptacle on the west wall. Go east and shoot a blue crystal in an alcove. Hop into the alcove for flares. Safety drop to the ground and go west. Shoot the blue crystals around a tree, just in case they trigger something.

 

Go into the west alcove and use the crowbar to open the door. Go up the ramp into a room and shoot a demigod with the grenade gun. Shoot the three blue crystals in the room. Notice a place for a cage in the north-west corner. Look up into the south-east corner. You should still have the Silver Hawk, laser sight, and hopefully one bullet. Shoot the swinging ball and exit the room. Return to the starting area.

 

Go to the north-east corner to the open door. Grab the ladder and climb down. Go east through a circular cutter and follow the tunnel to a small room. Enter the east tunnel and go to the left and behind the blue pillar to get into the next tunnel. Follow the tunnel to the end. Shoot a grenade into the water to destroy the crystal. Dive into the water and pick up a Crystal Star. Get out and return back to the starting area.

 

Go to the south-west and use the Crystal Star to open the gate in the south alcove. Enter the alcove and face a deep room with a pole and water at the bottom. You can see a room with a swinging blade and a closed door on the opposite ledge. Dive into the water, as it is deep enough not to cause damage. Swim into the east underwater tunnel. Follow the tunnel south to a partially flooded room. Swim south and pull up to a ledge. Shoot the fish that has been following you. Dive into the water and pick up flares from the center of the floor. Swim south under the ledge. Swim to the south-west corner and follow a tunnel in that corner. At the end of the tunnel, pull an underwater lever and return to the south ledge. Carefully jump around the side ledges to get to the north ledge. The door that the lever opened is in the north wall.

 

Enter the tunnel and get pass the circular cutter. Turn the corner and get pass the teeth doors. Shoot the blue pillar to shatter it. Continue following the tunnel to stop before a small depression in the floor. Jump over this spike trap and continue to the end. Pull up into a crawl space and hang from the other side. Do not release but shimmy to the right and onto a crevice. Drop on a safe block near a wall switch. Pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene of another wall switch. Shimmy back and follow the tunnel and the traps back to the north ledge. Loop around to the left and enter the new tunnel and the wall switch of the cut scene.

 

Pull down the wall switch, turn, and sprint up the tunnel to enter the timed door before it closes. Follow the tunnel to a large room with water and ropes. If you fall into the water you are carried to your death. Use the two ropes to swing over the water and onto the east ledge. Enter the next room and notice the gems in the left wall. Climb the wall and shimmy to the left as far as possible. Back flip onto the corner of the archway over the entrance door. Jump over to the north-east ledge. Push the wall button and get a cut scene of a door opening. The wall button on the south-east ledge is a spike trap. Safety drop to the floor. Use the crowbar to open the gate in the east wall. Ahead of you is a deep pit. Jump to grab the crevice in the left wall. Shimmy to the right and around the corners to a safe ledge. Follow the tunnel to the west and be careful of the spike pit hidden by the brown plant at the corner. Go west and stop at the edge of another tunnel.

 

Drop into a tunnel that appears dry but move in any direction and it becomes an underwater tunnel. The water current is too fast to swim into the side tunnel. Swim to the end and pull up. You will get into that side tunnel later when the water current has stopped. Follow the tunnel to a door that opens for you. Exit back into the starting area and shoot two harpies. Go west and return to the room with the pole. Use the pole to back flip onto the south ledge. Enter the room and pick up Silver Hawk ammo from the north-east corner. Get pass the swinging blade and into the tunnel. Use the floor lever and get a cut scene of a cage rising in a corner of a room. Turn to the left and pull up into the hidden crawl space at the east wall. Go to the end and press a wall button. You hear an explosion and also get a cut scene of a corner of a room. Exit this area and get pass the swing blade back to the pole room. Use the pole to get back to the entrance if you can. I could not and dropped into the water to swim through the tunnel and followed the same route as before. The underwater current was still too strong. Either route and you return back to the starting area.

 

Go west and enter a previous room again to see the risen cage. Get on the cage and pull up to the north alcove. Run and jump with a right curve into the center alcove on the west wall. Press the blue wall button and get a cut scene of a door opening. Now run and jump to the south-east for the next ledge. You can grab a convenient crevice at the bottom of a column and shimmy to the left and pull up. Now run and jump to the north-east for the next ledge. Hop to the south-east alcove and press the blue wall button. You get a cut scene of a door closing in the tunnel with the fast water current. Safety drop to the floor and exit this room back to the starting area.

 

Go to the south-east and enter the alcove. The door is still open so follow the tunnel back to the water. Dive in and now you can swim into the side tunnel. Pull down the underwater lever and get a cut scene of a cage rising back in the room that you had just left. Return to the starting area and go west back into that room. Climb the first cage and make the jumps around the room to the higher cage in the north-east corner. Pull up to the cage and jump up at the west side to pull down a trap door. Be careful as you can pull through the trap door and be stuck. Pull up into the east tunnel.

 

Go east and climb down a ladder to a lower tunnel. Stand jump over a spike trap into a higher tunnel. Follow the tunnel to a T-junction. To the right is a closed door. Go left and emerge on a ledge over a pit. Turn around and shoot the gremlin that followed you from the tunnel. Run and jump to grab the central column. Pull up and quickly run and jump to the west ledge as spikes pop up on the column. Go forward and drop into water. Swim west and turn around to pull up. Go east over the water hole and safety drop into the pit. You drop in front of a wall switch. Save the game in front of the timed wall switch. Pull down the wall switch and then run and jump to the opposite end of the room. Hop onto the leading edge of the timed cage and jump into a tunnel before the cage descends. I found this timed run very tight.

 

Follow the tunnel and get pass a circular cutter. Climb the ladder at the end of the tunnel and shimmy to the right. Pick up the Purplish Gem from the pedestal. It looked pink to me and the pink light glow stops when you pick the gem up. Go south to exit back to the starting area. Go east and place the gem in the receptacle to open the door in the east alcove. Carefully step into the room and avoid the falling icicles. You see a closed door and two unlit wall torches. Exit the room and go back to the starting area. Enter the middle doorway in the south wall. Follow the tunnel and the level changes.

 

Level 5: Hall of Mask (revisited)

 

You are back on the south corridor. Go west and push open the middle double doors. The tunnel is blocked so return to the corridor.

 

Go to the west end of the balcony and push open the double doors. Go to the end of a short tunnel and you can find some torches.  Pick up a torch and go east of the corridor. Turn north and jump down to the wall torch. Light the torch on the wall torch. Run and jump back into the doorway of the south corridor. Return to the first open doors and follow the tunnel as the level changes.

 

Level 6: Mistical Sanctuary (revisited)

 

You are back to this level but now you have the lit torch. Go east to enter the room again and light the two torches. The gate opens so enter the room. Shoot the blue crystal and pick up the Blue Crystal that was beneath it. Exit back to the starting area and pull up onto the bridge again. Go west and jump to the ledge and place the Blue Crystal in the receptacle. Two doors will open at the ends of the bridge.

 

Start with the north door. Save the game in front of the timed wall switch. Pull down the timed wall switch and run and jump the three floor blades to get through the open door before it closes. Stop on the ledge and pick up a small medipack. Use the ropes to swing to the north ledge. You may need full health as wall darts hits you. Pick up the Green Puzzle from the pedestal. Use the ropes to swing back and return to the bridge. On the way back the floor blades had stopped and were no problem.

 

Go to the south door. Enter the room and climb either end wall tunnel. Shimmy to left at the top and onto a ledge. On the north ledge is a movable pedestal. Enter the room on the south ledge. You see the item in a cage. Go to the right side of the cage and use the small bottom slope to grab the top of the cage. Pull up onto the cage and grab the ceiling. Monkey swing east into a well-hidden tunnel in the east corner. Pull down the wall switch and safety drop back into the room. Go north and pull the pedestal over the raised trap door and into the room. Move the pedestal onto the tile just north-west of the cage and approach that tile from the south. The cage should drop but it was difficult to do. There seem to be problem that the cage did not drop when the pedestal was pushed from the east side. Pick up the Blue Puzzle from the pedestal.

 

Leave the room and go down the ladder to the ledge. Drop from the bridge and go south to the middle tunnel. Follow the tunnel and the level changes.

 

Level 5: Hall of Mask (revisited)

 

You are back on the south corridor. Go east and jump down to the wall torch. Cross the balcony and get back into the north corridor. Go to the last open door at the west end and drop into the water. Swim into the north doorway and follow the tunnels back again to the closed door and the two receptacles. Use the Blue and Green Puzzles to open the gate. Enter the room and a cage rises behind you. Pick up the Mistical Mask from the pedestal. A large bird monster appears in the west alcove. Shoot the bird monster with some powerful weapon such as three grenade shells. Enter the west alcove and pull back the pedestal cube. Move the pedestal cube onto the green tile in the north-west corner. The cage at the doorway descends. Go to the west alcove again and a light a flare to see the south wall. Place the Mechanism Element (cog wheel) into the gear train and get a cut scene of the level entrance tunnel.

 

Go east to exit the room. Swim back to pull up onto the ledge and jump south to pull back up into the corridor. Go east and jump back to the wall torch. Jump the blocks and get back to the entrance tunnel. The slope has been replaced by steps.  Get on the corner block at the north side of the entrance to angle a run and jump to land on the first step. Go up the steps to the last step and the level changes.

 

Level 4: Temple of Life (revisited)

 

You are back on the west balcony where you left earlier. Jump over the ledges to get to pull up onto the east balcony. Place the Mistical Mask into the receptacle and the circular door rolls away in the east wall. Jump into the tunnel and slide down the slope as the level changes.

 

Level 7: Escape

 

You can pick up the ammo in this level or leave it. There are no enemies.

 

You fall into a pool as you get a long flyby showing you the large room. Notice the item in the spiral and the two bridges. When the flyby stops get out of the pool before you drown. Go east and climb the ladder to a high ledge. Jump west down to the nearest bridge. Go to the north ledge. Go to the north-east corner and pick up crossbow explosive ammo and the crossbow. Cross any bridge to get to the south ledge. Go to the south-west corner to pick up grenade super ammo. Jump over the ledge with the spiral and pick up the Crystal of Life. An earthquake happens and you hear strange noises and some (exciting) music.

 

Go to the any bridge and drop into the water. Get out of the water and go west towards the open doors. Go up the ramp and turn to the left. Go to bottom of this ramp and go to the east wall. Behind the plants you can pick up Uzi ammo, Uzi's, crossbow poison ammo, red shotgun shells, and a shotgun. At the west wall you can pick up flares, two large medipacks, and two small medipacks.

 

Go to the right side of the gate and place the Golden Idol from lever three to open the gate in the south wall. Go through the gate to the end of the room. Dive into the water hole and follow the underwater tunnel to the end. Stay at the bottom of the tunnel to avoid the blades. Pull up into a room and pick up Silver Hawk ammo. Save the game in front of the timed wall switch. Pull down the wall switch, roll, and jump forward. Run to the ladder and climb the ladder before the trap closes and blocks the path.

 

Time a jump over the fire emitter and get into the tunnel in the north wall. Turn the corner of the tunnel and jump over three spike traps. Pick up crossbow normal ammo from the end alcove. Follow the tunnel north to a bridge. Jump over the middle section of the bridge, as it is a spike trap. Climb the ladder at the north wall. Climb the wall to get above the green leaves. Shimmy to the right (or left) as far as possible and back flip onto a ledge. Go to the wall switch on the east ledge. Pull down the wall switch and a cage rises on the west ledge.

 

Get onto the cage and jump north to a wooden bridge. Jump to a north ledge for Silver Hawk ammo. Return to the bridge and enter the east tunnel. Slide down a slope and onto a balcony. Grab the ceiling and monkey swing over to the east balcony. Shoot the blue crystals to shatter them. Enter the next room with a pool. You can see an underwater tunnel in the pool. Dive into the water and the level ends.
