[Note] The compass directions seem reversed. If you face north, you turn left to face east, while normally you turn left to face west. However, I always give directions according to where the red compass needle points. [End note]

 

You start by sliding down a small slope into a valley. Go to the east rock wall and pick up a small medipack. Find the hole in the middle of the valley and stand on the north side. Safety drop into the hole and land on a slope. Slide down and grab the edge. Pull up, back flip, and roll to grab another slope. Shimmy to the right a little. Pull up, back flip, and roll to land on another slope. Immediately jump and use a right curve to land on another slope. Slide down backwards and grab the edge. Pull up, back flip, and roll to grab another slope. Finally safety drop to the ground and pick up flares.

 

Go through the crawl space in the east wall. Stand up to get around the triangular rock hanging from the ceiling. Follow the tunnel and stop before you enter a cave with rocks on the ceiling.  Jump east and into the corner next to the rocks to release the rocks. There are also parts of the ceiling that will collapse and kill you. Stay near the east wall and walk behind the rocks when they have stopped. Then go west towards the tunnel in the north-west corner. Turn around and look south and see red shotgun shells in front of the rocks. You have to crouch to pick them up. Return to the corner and enter the tunnel. Push movable block #1 twice to reveal a crawl space in the upper north wall. Follow the crawl space and drop into another tunnel. Go south and push movable block #2 once to the south. To the left is movable block #3. Push block #3 once to the south. Turn right and push block #2 east. You can see block #1 in the east wall. Pull back block #3 once to the north. Go behind block #3 and enter an alcove. You get secret #1 and pick up red shotgun shells. Now exit this area by the tunnel in the north-west corner of the cave.

 

You reach a room and see a skeleton on the floor. In the north wall is a closed gate. To the east are two columns. Behind the left east column is a jump switch. Avoid the skeleton and pull down the jump switch to open the door. Enter the next room and go to the north-east corner to pull down a wall switch. Enter the east tunnel and enter the open door to your left. Go to the back of the room and pull down the wall switch. Ignore the vases and exit the room and go west and through another open door in the west tunnel. Inside the next room, be careful of the fire and turn to the right and into an alcove. Shoot the brown vase to the right and pick up the shotgun. Run back to the room in the east tunnel with the wall switch. Go to the back of the room and shoot the skeleton onto the floor to gain time. Now run out and go west to push up the wall switch to lock the skeleton in the room.  You want the skeleton out of your way for a timed run later. Notice another closed door at the end of the east tunnel.

 

Go back to the west room and notice a closed door and a key lock in the north wall. Enter the right alcove again. Step on the tile in the corner and the fire under the pole stops. Climb the pole and back flip into a corridor. Shoot a green creature that attacks. Go down the south tunnel and jump over the floor blade. You enter a room with spikes on a platform. Run over the platform and get a cut scene of a door opening at the end of the east tunnel. This door is timed, of course. Run over the platform when the spikes are down. Go through the tunnel and hopefully the floor blade is out of the way. Sprint down the tunnel and drop at the end. Turn to the east and sprint to enter the open gate at the end of the east tunnel. When you make it, the door stays open.

 

There is a water pool at the east wall. Dive into the water and swim through the lower crawl space in the south wall. You enter a room with many pillars. Swim south and pull down the underwater level on the back side of the second pillar to the left. Swim down and south into the open gate. Stop at the doorway entrance as the ceiling collapses. Stay near the ceiling and swim inside. Swim to the south-east corner for blue shotgun shells. Swim to the north-west corner and pull down an underwater lever. You get a cut scene of a trap door dropping. Exit the room and swim to the north-east corner and pull up onto a platform. Climb the wall ladder and back flip into a higher room.

 

You can see many tiles with a symbol matching the symbol above the closed door in the east wall. There is a moveable block on the west side of the room. There is a ladder on the south wall but there is a platform with a spike trap at the bottom. Move the block to a position in front of the ladder and the spike platform. The block is climbable. Hop onto the block and stand in the middle of the block. Stand jump south to grab the ladder. The spikes pop up and then descend and stay down. Climb up and shimmy to the left and onto a bridge. Notice the two bridges have tiles with small rocks on them. Those tiles are deadly spike traps. Run and jump to the north-east and over the railings to land on the east bridge. Jump back and forth between the bridges to clear the spike traps. At the end, use the floor lever. You can se the door open in the east wall below you. Do not drop down into the room. Jump to the west bridge and pick up the Silver Key from the pedestal.

 

Run and jump to the west wall and grab a crevice. Shimmy to the left and pull up into a crawl space. Stand up in a tunnel and get through a teeth door trap. Go to the end and drop into a hole and land in water. Go west and return to the room with the pole. Use the Silver Key to open the door in the north wall. Enter the doorway and a fire emitter starts. Step into the room and immediately hop back to avoid a rolling rock. When the rock stops, side jump north-east over the rock to enter the room. Run to the floor lever and avoid a second rolling rock. Use the floor lever and get a cut scene of the grate opening in the water pool. Notice the opening in the north wall beside the floor lever. Do not enter it as the end is closed by a gate. It is an exit tunnel from somewhere else. Get past the rocks again and return towards the east to the water pool.

 

Dive through the open trap doors and swim east to see a closed gate. Swim up at the north wall and pull up into a tunnel. You see a place for a key and a closed gate. Go north and turn into a side tunnel just in time to see a block rise ahead of you. You enter a long room with a shallow water trench. You can see raised blocks and places where blocks need to be raised. Notice a white vase in front of a black half circle in an east wall alcove. Do not shoot it, as it is a marker. Search the alcoves in the north wall for red shotgun shells. There are also two wall switches and a closed gate in the north wall. In the south-west corner is a moveable block. The wall switches control the blocks on the south ledge. Pull down the west wall switch and push the moveable block to the east. Push up the west wall switch and push the moveable block to the east some more.  Pull down the west wall switch and push the moveable block to the east again.  Now pull down the east wall switch and push the moveable block to the east in front of the alcove with the white vase. You hear a gate open. Exit this room and go to the closed gate in the entrance tunnel. That gate is now open.

 

Enter the open gate and emerge into another long room with a shallow water trench. Go east and use the floor lever. Notice a key on a platform through the bars. Return to the earlier room and go to the north-west corner. A block has risen in an alcove. Get up onto the block and pull up into a crawl space in the north wall. Follow the crawl space and drop into a long room with a shallow water trench. You can see the previous room to the east behind the bars. Go to the north-west corner alcove and shoot a vase for a small medipack. Enter the next alcove to the east and pull down a jump switch. Go back through the crawl space to the previous room and go east. That gate in the north wall is open. Enter the gate and see a floor blade. Stand at the west wall and slide down the slope backwards. You land on the ledge and the floor blade misses you. If you slide forwards, you run into the floor blade.

 

Slide down the next slope. When the slope changes direction, jump up and grab the ceiling. Monkey swing over the spike pit. Drop and slide into the next room. Run to the left to avoid a moving spike wall. The second spike wall will pass harmlessly in front of you. Go west and enter a tunnel and a teeth door trap starts. Run down the slope, turn around and run back to avoid a rolling rock. Run and jump over the rock as it rolls towards you. You can reach a safe ledge just before a room. When you enter the room, a door drops in the tunnel.  The rock was trapped on the east side of the door.

 

There is a wall switch and a gate to the south. That is the exit. Go north and drop into a cave. Watch out for a falling ceiling. Go north and loop around to the right to find an upper crawl space. [New move] Just grab and use the UP ARROW to enter the crawl space. The PERIOD key is not required. Crawl to the end and pick up a torch from the floor. [New move] Lara seems to put the torch in her backpack. She can crawl with the torch in her hand in the crawl space. No need to crouch and throw the torch. [New move] At the end of the crawl space, face the room and use ALT and UP ARROW to roll forward out of the crawl space. Go south to the previous room and light the torch on the wall torch, Return north to the cave and ignite the torch on the east side of the column with the letters. A block rises behind you.

 

Drop the torch and hop onto the block. Follow the crawl space and enter a small cave with a closed gate. Jump the slope to the south-west corner. The north-east corner is a spike trap. Follow the tunnel to a small room. Pull down the wall switch on the block. Turn around and shoot two green creatures. Climb onto the top of the block for a small medipack. Return to the cave and the gate is open. Enter the next room and you are in shallow water channel. Go east and follow the channel. When the water gets deeper, go forward to the next turn and then walk back as you shoot a crocodile. Follow the tunnel to the end and go to the south-west corner. Jump up and grab a south wall ladder. Climb to the top and save the game. I got stuck on debris in the next section and had to reload. Go south and through a crawl space. Just enter the next room slightly as the ceiling falls on you. Stand up and use side jumps to get over the debris.

 

Go south and follow the tunnel to a room with a ramp. Run up the ramp and run off to the left side to avoid a rolling rock. You see a closes gate. Go to the top of the ramp and pull up onto the ledge above it. Look at the ceiling. The tiles seem to indicate two shades of gray. The light gray tiles are spike traps. The dark gray tiles are safe tiles. Jump onto the safe tiles to get to the last ledge. Pull down the jump switch on the north wall. Safety drop to the floor and go to the open gate in the south-east. Enter the room and pick up a Silver Key from the platform. You may remember the room behind the bars to the west.

 

Exit the room and exit the next room as well. Side jump over the debris and go through the crawl space. Climb down the ladder to the shallow water channel again. Go to the end and enter the doorway in the south wall. Go south and through the crawl space to return to the cave with the column of letters. Exit by the upper opening in the south wall. Go south and pull down a wall switch to open the gate. Enter the gate and just climb the blocks to enter a familiar room with two rocks. Jump over the rocks and into the next room. Go east and return to the water pool with the trap door. Swim east and upwards at the north wall again. Pull up into the tunnel and use the Silver Key on the key lock. Dive back into the water and see that the east underwater gate is now open.

 

Swim through the gate and into the crawl space in the south wall. Swim into a small room and swim to the south-west corner to surface. Pull up to the east to enter the room. If you pull up to the north you can be stuck by a bench. Shoot the vases in the room and pick up a shotgun and a Gold Key (called Load in the inventory). Get back to the water and swim back to the water pool with trap door. Swim south through a crawl space into the flooded room. Swim south and into the small room again. Pull down the underwater lever to open the trap door but there is no cut scene this time. Go north-east to pull onto a platform and climb the north wall again.

 

Back flip into the room where you have been before. Go to the open gate in the east wall and enter the small room. Use the Gold Key to open the door in the east wall. Follow the east tunnel to enter a large room. Shoot a green creature. There is a closed tall door ahead of you to the east. Go to the south-east corner and follow the tunnel to step on the corner pad at the end. Return towards the entrance and pick up red shotgun shells on the floor. Follow the north-east tunnel to pick up a large medipack. Step on the corner pad and you hear a door open. Return to the entrance and follow the east tunnel through the open tall door.

 

Take the first north branch and pull down the wall switch to open the tall door. Enter the small room and shoot the vases for a large medipack. You see a wall switch and a fire. Step on the platform at the north wall. Exit the room and sprint south to get through the open timed door at the end. Shoot the vases and notice the pool of water beside them. Go west and push a moveable block to the west and into a room. Shoot the brown vase and pick up a Gold Key (called Load). Pull the block to the south and go behind it for blue shotgun shells. Return to the room with the fire. Pull down the wall switch and you will catch fire. Side jump to the door and use medipacks to run south and into the water pit to stop the fire. Exit the room and return to main entrance tunnel. Go east to the second set of branch tunnels and then north to the newly open door.

 

You enter a room with three closed gates and two key locks. Use the Gold Key in the key lock of your choice. I used the south key lock. It does nothing yet but you can only have one Gold Key at a time. Probably because the inventory refers to the key as Load. Go to the south wall and pull up into a crawl space behind the pedestal. Follow the crawl space and make two safety drops to land in a room. Notice the closed tall doors to the west. Go south onto the ledge of a room with a deep drop. Give yourself full health if you have anything left after the fire. Stay near the left side and run and jump south to grab the south ledge by the railing. Safety drop to the floor and side jump to the right to land in a small hole. Do not climb up into the room. The floor reduces your health very quickly. Follow the tunnel to a ladder and climb the ladder up onto the south ledge. Go to the east wall to pull down a jump switch. Now go to the west wall and jump over the deep drop to grab a ladder. Climb to the top and pull down a wall switch. Grab the ceiling to monkey swing east to drop onto the north ledge.

 

Go back to the crawl space and notice that the tall doors are open in the west. Go west through the tall doors and then north to get back to the room with the two key locks. The two small doors are open in the east corners of the room. Enter the south-east tunnel and climb down a ladder. Go north and pick up a Gold Key (call Load) from the floor in the middle of the tunnel. Climb the ladder and exit back into the room from the second tunnel. Place the Gold Key in the north key lock and the tall door opens in the tunnel between the key locks. Run down the tunnel and get a flyby of the next room showing a golden statue.

 

Go east and pull back a movable block once. Go north into the room with the golden statue and doors close behind you. There are closed tall doors in the north wall. Search the white plant in the north-east corner for a small medipack. Dive into the south-west water pool. Swim north and down into the hole in the floor. Follow the underwater tunnel into a room. Loop around to the right and use an underwater lever. A trap door opens in the middle of the room above you. Notice a closed underwater tunnel in the west wall below the trap door. Pull up into the dry room and go to the west wall to pick up the crowbar. There are eight floor levels in the room. Number them as 1 to 8 starting with the south-west corner.

 

Lever 1 in south-west corner west wall is safe

Lever 2 in south-west corner south wall is a spike trap.

Lever 3 in south-east corner south wall is safe

Lever 4 in south-east corner east wall is safe

Lever 5 in east wall alcove north of the vases is a spike trap

Lever 6 in north-east corner east wall is safe

Lever 7 in north-west corner west wall is a spike trap

Lever 8 in west wall alcove left of the crowbar alcove is safe

 

Use the five safe floor levers and dive back into the water. Swim under the trap door and into the underwater tunnel. Swim to the end and surface in a long room with a shallow water trench. Go west and enter the first opening to your left. You should see a floor lever with a spike trap. Shoot a skeleton into the shallow water trench. It does not die but it also cannot attack you. Light a flare and run around the room. Most of the floor is a brick texture. Step on a flat texture tile near the east middle column and you hear a gate open. Step on a flat texture tile near the west middle column to stop the spikes near the entrance. From there go into the north wall alcove and pull down a jump switch. That opens gates in the north-west and north-east corners of the room. Use the now safe floor lever and a gate opens in the north-west tunnel.

 

Enter the north-west gate and follow the tunnel to a ledge above a pit with water. Go east to the wall and draw your pistols. You can shoot a big bug on the north ledge before it attacks you. There is another closed gate in the east corner. Drop into the water and pull up onto the platform. Use the floor lever and you hear a gate open. Dive under the platform and pull down a ceiling-type underwater handle. The pit is now flooded to the top. Swim up and pull onto the south ledge. Go east and enter the open gate for a large medipack and flares. Swim over to the north ledge and use the floor lever. You get a cut scene of the room with the golden statue and the room is flooded. Swim back to the south ledge and go west to exit this area. Return through the next room to the long room with the shallow water trench.

 

Ignore the skeleton and go east to dive into the corner hole. Swim back to the room with the eight floor levers and surface to get air. Now swim east to the flooded golden statue room. Swim up to the ceiling above the statue and pull up into an alcove. Pull down the wall switch and you hear doors open. The room below you is now dry again. Either safety drop from the alcove or jump at an angle and use grab to land in a water pool. Pull up out of the water and go north through the open tall doors. Use the crowbar to open the gate in the west wall corner. Follow the tunnel and pick up Uzi ammo. Exit and use the crowbar to open the gate in the east wall corner. Follow the tunnel to a small room.

 

Shoot the vases and pick up a small medipack. Climb the ladder and pull up into a crawl space. When the crawl space branches, take the west branch. Drop into a small room and find a crawl space in the lower west wall. Just follow the crawl space to the end and pick up a Gold Key (called Load) from in front of a closed door. Return to the crawl space branch and take the north branch. Safety drop into the north cave and go east to use the crowbar to open the door. Follow the tunnel and turn the corner to face four slopes with spike pits and fire emitters. Jump the first three slopes with spike traps and grab the top of the fourth slope. When the fire is down, pull up, slide and jump with grab to glide into the tunnel. Hopefully you make it pass the teeth door trap and land in a room. Do not stop but quickly run to the south-east corner to avoid a moving spike wall trap descending from the ceiling.

 

Climb the south wall and go up the blocks to a closed door. Turn around and pull down a jump switch on the upper north wall to open the door. Go west and push a movable block forward. You can go behind it to enter the room where you have been before but that is for later. Instead go south into a room and see places for some blocks to rise. There is a place at the east wall and another place on the short column in front of it. Wait a while and shoot a big bug that attacks from the ceiling. There are also columns with spikes on them. Go west and use the Gold Key to open the door.

 

Enter the tunnel and see two floor pads. The south pad raises a block on the short column. The north pad raises a block near the east wall. Of course, they are timed. First, step on the south pad since it seemed to be a longer time. Then step on the north pad and run out the door and run with jumps to the raised blocks. Avoid the benches, the columns and the water. Jump onto the leading edge of the first block. Turn and stand jump to the second column. Run and jump to grab the third column and shimmy to the left before you pull up. Or if you are lucky, you may land on the column and not slide off. The column top is partially sloped.

 

Ahead of you is a column with spikes but that is for later. Run diagonally across the current column and jump north with a left curve to grab another column. Pull up and turn to the east. Ahead of you is a column with spikes. Behind that is a sloped column and a high jump switch on the east wall. Start the trip with full health if you can. Stand jump to the column with spikes, run and jump to grab the back of the sloped column. Pull up, slide and jump to grab the jump switch. You fall a long way to the floor and take much damage. A door has opened on the upper west wall.

 

Go into the lower west room again. Run over the tiles and perform the timed run again. Stop again on top of the partially sloped column. Ahead of you is a column with spikes.  Stand at the corner of the column. Stand jump to the middle of the closest edge of the column with spikes. Run while turning to the left and jump to glide into the open upper west wall door. Use the floor lever and go east. Run and jump with no grab and you will land safely in the water. Swim east to swim into the open trap door. Swim north and use an underwater lever. You get a cut scene of a door opening. Then get out of the water.

 

Go to the north-east to exit the room. Now go west and push the block to return to the previous area. Go north again to the room with the golden statue. The doors close behind you again. Go north and then east to the room with the ladder, Climb the ladder back into the crawl space. Take the west branch again and go back to the room where you found a key. Go through the newly open door. Go north through another crawl space. Drop at the end and see a key lock in front of you. Go east towards a skeleton and shoot three big bugs. Pick up a Gold Key (called Load) near the skeleton on the floor. Use the Gold Key to open the tall door in the north wall. Run down the north tunnel. When you enter the small room the level ends.
