Holy Conundrum

[Note] The author's script files were confusing, as
they only had a single letter. The level changes also seem to not work between
some levels. I used the original editor script files. I started each level as
new. This is inconvenient as you lose your weapons. The playing order seems to
be Cleopatra's Palaces, Playable Tutorial Level, The Tomb of Seth, Temple of
Karnak, and Coastal Ruins. [End note]
Level 1: Cleopatra's Palaces
You start by falling a long way into a pool of water. Swim
to the north-east and pick up the Horseman's Gem from the floor of the pool. Pull
up onto any ledge and go south. Pull down the jump switch on the middle of the
south wall. Go north to climb the wall to the right of the throne. Climb
through the open trap door and back flip to the higher ledge. To the west there
is a different tile on the floor. Go south to find a moveable vase. Move that
vase onto the different tile at the north wall. A trap door opens above the
steps at the north wall. Go to the steps and pull up to the east side of the
open trap door. Pull up to the higher ledge. Go to the north-east corner ledge
and climb the chain. Back flip to the higher ledge.
Shoot the box in the north-west corner. Pick up a small
medipack for secret #1. There was no sound so just check the statistics. Use
the small ledges over the room to run and jump and grab the west ledge. Pull up
to the west ledge. Move the vase from the south wall onto the different tile at
the north wall. The door opens in the south wall. Go there and follow the
tunnel to the end and place the Horseman's Gem into the receptacle. Exit and
drop down into the water pool. Pull up on the east ledge and go through the
open door in the east wall.
You emerge into an outdoor area. Go north and shoot three
crocodiles. Continue north and west to a small area with plants. Pick up a
small medipack among the plants. If you did not get the other secret, this
would have been first secret. I guess the secrets are not number correctly and
they both count as the same secret. Anyway, return to the south-east and pull
up onto a block at the outside wall corner. Pull up south onto a higher block.
Go south to run jump and grab another ledge. Run and jump to grab the slope at
the south wall. Shimmy to the left and pull up onto a ledge.
Run and jump to a north ledge. Follow the ledges until
you reach a large gap. Jump and grab the east wall. Shimmy to the left and drop
onto the next ledge. Continue following the ledge around the area and reach a
column with green leaves. First drop into the hole in front of the column and
pick up a small medipack. Pull back up and jump to grab the outside south side
of the column with the green leaves. Shimmy to the left and around the corner.
Back flip, roll, and grab the next column. Shimmy to the left around two
corners and back flip onto a ledge. Go south on the ledge by shimmy around the
columns. Stand jump to the ledge to the south. Finally jump into the opening in
the west wall.
Run and jump to the sandy hill to the north. Jump to grab
the north ledge and shimmy to the left and around the corner. Pull up and pick
up the Pharos Knot from the ledge. Safety drop into the water and go south to
find a hole in the floor. Dive into the hole and follow it to a large tunnel. Go
south and open the underwater door in the west wall. Swim inside and follow the
tunnel. Surface in a room with platforms over the water. Go to the north-east
corner. Pull down the jump switch that is hidden by vines on the east wall. A
door opens behind you in the north wall.
Enter the north wall tunnel and pull out a moveable cage.
Move the cage over the platforms into the corner to the right of the door in
the south wall. The door opens in the south wall. Go through the tunnel to a
room with platforms and fire emitters over deadly water. Hop onto a platform to
the south for a small medipack. Go west and pull out another cage from the
tunnel. Carefully move the cage onto the north-east corner tile to the left of
the door in the east wall. The door in the east wall opens.
Enter the door and follow the tunnel to another room and
yet another moveable cage. Shoot three black panthers. Move the cage to the
tile in front of the door in the south wall. The door opens in the south wall.
Go to the end of the south tunnel and pick up a single Uzi. Move the cage
to the second tile south in front of the north door. The door opens in the
north wall. Go to the end of the north tunnel and pick up two Uzi ammo. Now
move the cage onto north-east tile to the left of the door in the east wall.
The door opens in the east wall. Enter the tunnel and climb the ladder at the
end.
At the top of the ladder, back flip into a tunnel. Follow
the tunnel and go through a crawl space. Stand up at the top of a slope. Slide
down the slope and the level ends.
Level 2: Playable Tutorial Level
You start by sliding down a slope and land in a large
room. Pick up a small medipack at your feet. Go north and shoot a demigod.
Continue north and shoot another demigod. Go north and then hop onto the sandy
hill in the north-west corner. Pull up onto a higher north ledge. Run and jump
to the ledge to the south. Run and jump east to grab a hanging rope. Use the
rope to swing onto the ledge at the east wall. Climb the green vines on the
east wall. Climb above the closed gate and then shimmy to the right. Drop in
front of the closed gate.
Go west to the platform with the pedestal and the spiral
light. Hop onto the pedestal and the level ends.
Level 3: The Tomb of Seth
You start in an arctic valley. Go east and enter the open
doors and enter a cave. Run back and shoot three wolves that do not follow you
out the door. Return to the cave and go north-east to shoot a box for a small
medipack. There is no sound but check the statistics and see that this is
secret #1. Go to the snow pile in the north-west corner and use it to grab and
pull up onto the north ledge. Run and jump south to grab a ledge. Go south and
run and jump to grab the top of the arch. Pull up onto the arch and look above
the door in the south wall and see a jump switch. Run and jump to the south
wall to pull down the jump switch. The box beside the door is empty. Go back to
the north ledge and jump back to the arch. Run and jump with grab to glide into
the open door in the east wall. Pull down the jump switch on the middle of the
east wall. Exit and safety drop to the floor.
Go south to enter the open door. Just continue south and
through a corridor with columns. Continue south and enter a room with a closed
door. Pick up a small medipack at the west wall. There is a moveable pedestal
at the east wall. Move the pedestal onto all of the four fancy designed tiles
on the floor. Four doors open in the tunnel in the south wall. Enter the tunnel
and run to the end. The game crashes to the desktop.
Level 4: Temple of Karnak
You start standing in a tunnel in front of a closed door.
Use a flare and follow the dark tunnel. You reach a door that opens as you
approach. Enter the room and crawl under the wall darts into the south wall
alcove. If you stand in front of the closed door, you cannot grab the jump
switch above it. Step back and stand jump forward to pull down the wall switch
to open the door. Enter the door and go south to a room with a pool. Shoot
three bats. Shoot the box near the entrance for a small medipack.
Dive into the water and pull open the underwater door in
the south wall. Swim into the underwater tunnel and follow it. Go straight and
take the first right. Go straight, right, left, left and take the first right.
Go left and take the first right. You enter a flooded room and you can surface
for air. Dive into the water and go behind the middle south column and pick up
a small medipack from the floor. Dive into the water and go behind the middle
north column and pick up Uzi ammo hidden in a plant on the floor. Also go
behind the middle north column and pull down the underwater lever on the
column. Swim west into the underwater tunnel. Follow the tunnel and surface in
another flooded room.
Pull up onto the east ledge and shoot a thug. Pull down
the wall switch on the south wall in the south-east alcove. Run to the
south-west alcove and enter the open door. Run to the end of the tunnel and
pick up a single Uzi. This is secret #1. Exit the tunnel and go north into the
large opening. Go north but do not slide down the slope. Stay at the top and
shoot four raptors. You may have to slide down to lure them close and then
stand jump back. When they are dead, slide down the slope and go north to the
steps. Jump into the hole in the east wall. Go south and run and jump to grab a
block. Pull up and turn around. Jump onto the roof and go to the highest part
to find a small medipack and Uzi ammo. Slide down the west side of the roof and
turn around to shoot a bat.
Run and jump to the ledge to the south. Jump south to the
bridge and enter the opening to the west. Go to the back west wall and pull
down a jump switch on the dark wall. Exit and safety drop to the ground. Go
north up the steps to enter the open door. Run forward and the level ends.
Level 5: Coastal Ruins
You start in front of the closed door from the last
level. To the north are closed doors. Enter the tunnel in the east wall.
Carefully get past the teeth doors and fire emitters. Step on the corner of the
second fire emitter to activate a teeth door trap on the opposite side. Crawl
under the wall darts. Enter a room with a pedestal and a spiral light. Hop onto
the block and pick up the Scion (called Hathor Effigy) from the pedestal.
Go south and climb a chain to back flip into a tunnel. Go
to the end of the tunnel for a small medipack. Safety drop into the room. Go to
the south-west corner and pull down the jump switch on the south wall. An
earthquake starts. Enter the south tunnel and run through the open doors.
Continue south down the steps to the valley of raptors. Shoot a thug and go
south and turn left to enter an east tunnel. You enter another open area. Run
into the dark opening in the east wall. Run to the east and the level ends.
