You start by falling from the sky and landing in water. Swim to the north-west and walk into shallow water. Wait and look to the east to shoot a shark that will swim towards you. The small fish are harmless. To the south is the wreaked seaplane that you cannot reach. Go north and walk up onto the beach. You may see harmless butterflies flying around. Go north and hop onto a rock next to a hut. Climb onto the roof of the hut and climb a ladder in the west wall. Pull up to the left of the plant or you will fall off the ledge. The doorway ahead of you leads a room that is for later. First go south along the ledge. Go to the end and safety drop onto a column next to the waterfall. Pick up a large medipack. Drop into the water and go north again.

 

Get on the rock to get back to the roof of the hut. Climb the west wall ladder again. Now enter the doorway into a small room. Go north to enter the next room. Climb the wall in the north-east corner. Near the top, shimmy to the left and onto a ledge. Climb the block on the ledge and see a monkey swing with spikes. Stand in the middle of the block and face south. Use your pistols and jump up and down to shoot a ball that is hanging behind the vine at the south wall. You cannot see it, but the spikes retract when you finally hit it. Stand near the north wall and jump up to grab the ceiling. Monkey swing over to the south ledge. Pick up a torch and light it on the pedestal fire. Drop the torch to the floor and safety drop to the floor.

 

Pick up the torch and light the four wall torches. The doors open in the north wall. Enter the room and see platforms over water. The water is deadly and some platforms have spikes. Jump to the first safe platform. Stand near the middle of the north edge and face south. When the spikes pop up, side jump to the right. You should land when the spikes are down. Back flip to the slope and jump forward to pull down a jump switch. You hear something happen. When you drop the spikes should be down again. Jump forward over the deadly water back to the south entrance ledge. Platforms have risen under the wall switches. Pull down the west wall switch and a two blocks rise behind you. Jump over the spikes and pull down the east wall switch and more blocks rise. Run and jump to the block at the north wall. Climb the next block and jump the two columns to the south. On the second column, look into an alcove in the west wall. Run and jump there to pick up the Emerald Key. Stand jump down to the south ledge and exit the room. Exit east through the doorway and onto the ledge above the hut.

 

Go north and run and jump down to the roof of the north hut. Stand near the west wall and stand jump north over the peak of the roof. Go east and see a hole in the roof. Safety drop into the hut and shoot a gorilla. Pull down the wall switch to open the gate. However, an invisible wall prevents you from exiting the hut. Drop into the hole in the south-west corner. Slide down the slopes and pick up flares. Go south and pull up onto a block. Get through the spikes by jumping on safe tiles between the spike traps. Stand jump to the opening and run and jump over the spikes that do not move. Turn around and climb the ladder on the north wall. Back flip into the other hut. Turn to the east and pick up the Holy Key from the floor. Pull down the north wall switch to open the gates. Exit out the open doorway and back to the beach. Go to the north wall and pick up a small medipack behind the palm trees.

 

Dive into the water and you can see a sunken ship lying on its side. Swim over to the brown column in the water. Swim down to near the middle of that column. Then swim south into a dark blue cave partially hidden by sea plants. Swim west and the camera view changes. Pick up the Safir Key and swim out of the cave. Avoid the shark and swim to lure it back to shore so that you can shoot it. One time the shark got stuck in the cave wall. Either way, swim back into the water and over the hull of the ship. Swim south-east into an opening in the rocks where you can see some light blue color. Swim over the red water plants for secret #1 and pick up Mayan Talisman #1. At this point, the shark got unstuck so I swam east to walk onto the shore to shoot the shark. You can swim down to the anchor that is between the brown column and the ship. In the water plants there, you can find flares.

 

Swim back to the area where you got the secret. Surface there, dive slightly into the water and swim north. You should see a light blue triangular hole in the north wall. Swim inside and loop around to the left. Enter another cave and swim to the object on the cave floor. You get secret #2 and pick up Mayan Talisman #2. Swim out of the cave and swim east to walk up onto the beach. Ahead of you are two huts. Go to the south wall to pick up a small medipack. Return north and look south towards the waterfalls. You can see three key locks on a ledge to the right of the waterfalls. That is the final objective.

 

Go to the north hut and use the Safir Key to open the gate. Pick up a small medipack from the floor. Pull the chain and get a cut scene of a rope hanging from a beam. Exit the hut and go north to two columns. Go behind the shorter column and pull up to the top. Stand jump to grab the taller column. Pull up and jump to grab the ladder on the north wall. Climb up a little and back flip onto a ledge. Turn around and pick up a large medipack. Go west and crawl through the plants. Stand up and enter the small cave to the north. You get secret #3 and pick up Mayan Talisman #3. Crawl back through the plants and go east.

 

Run and jump to the south-east onto the slope. Grab the edge and shimmy to the right to pull up onto a ledge. If Lara does not move, release and quickly grab again and then shimmy. Or, you can grab the south ledge where you stand, and shimmy to the right and around the corner to shimmy to the right and pull up. However, the around corner animation is strange looking. Grab the ledge again and shimmy to the right until you are over flares. Drop there and face to the north-west to pick up the flares. Any other angle and Lara just falls off. Slide to the ground.

 

Return north and climb the columns and ladder to shimmy back to the ledge. You can grab the edge again and shimmy to the right and pull up into the hut. However, I did a different route. Stand jump onto the rock with a plant. Hop onto the roof and stand jump over the peak of the roof. Slide down the other side into a trench. Go south to the end and pick up the shotgun and red shotgun shells. Pull up into the west wall opening for red shotgun shells. To the west is the route to the three key locks. You do not have the keys yet, so get down and go north to the end. Back flip over the west wall. Slide down a slope and grab the edge. Safety drop to the roof and slide down to a ledge. Climb the east wall ladder and pull up into the hut. Stay at the entrance and shoot the gorilla that gets stuck in the corner. Enter the hut to pick up flares.

 

Go to the door and line up for the rope swings to the west. Run and jump to grab the first rope. Swing to release and grab the second rope. Turn to the right and swing to release and land on the north platform. Jump the platforms to the north-west to reach the platform at the north wall. Stand at the outside edge of the platforms because of the low ceiling of rocks. Run and jump west to grab the next platform. Pull up and walk to the west edge. Stand jump to grab the next west platform. Shimmy to the left edge and pull up. Run and jump west to grab the next platform. Pull up and run and jump onto the slope to the north-west. Slide down and grab the edge. Shimmy to the left a long way and pull up in front of a wall switch. Pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene of blocks dropping somewhere. Dive into the water and swim to the east.

 

Swim past the sunken ship and surface. Look to the north for a beach with two palm tress. Pull up there and go north into the building built into the rock. Crawl up the steps to avoid very poisonous wall darts. Enter the room and go west. You see a column with a wall switch at the top to the south-west. Stand on the highest end of the floor bump that is east of the column. Stand jump up and grab the column. Pull up and pull down the wall switch. Safety drop to the floor. Grab the crevice in the north-west column and shimmy to the right. Pull up and climb the ladder. Back flip onto a column. There were spikes here earlier. Run and jump to the column at the east wall. Run and jump to grab the crevice on the column to the east. Shimmy to the left around to the other side and release. Slide to the bottom and jump to grab the column to the north. Jump to the next nort-east column with the wall switch.

 

Pull down the wall switch and safety drop off the east side onto a lower block. Drop to the floor and notice a closed gate in the north-east corner. Now go west and the large circular door is open. Go north and see a cave. Look east into the channel where the circular door was located. You should see a wall switch. Pull down the timed wall switch and exit the cave. Loop around to the left and enter the open gate in the north-east corner. Time a run through the wall spikes and pull down the wall switch. Return to the timed switch by the circular door.

 

This timed run is very tight. Pull down the timed wall switch and turn to the right and go north to the cave. Or a roll and a side jump to the left will also work. Run and jump onto the first timed raised block and run and jump to the nearest lower corner of the north-east ledge. Run with a right curve to the middle of the second block. Roll and run and jump to the west and you should land on the nearest edge of the north-west ledge. Stand jump onto the second timed raised block. Quickly turn left and stand jump forward to grab the edge of the upper south ledge before the block drops. Save the game a few times. You do not want to do that miserable timed run again. Jump to grab the crevice in the south wall and shimmy left to the far corner. Turn and run and jump onto the ledge to the east. There were spikes here earlier. Pick up the Ruby Key and safety drop to the floor. Go south to exit the room. Crawl down the steps to avoid the wall darts. Exit back to the beach.

 

Go east to the area with the two columns for a repeat trip. Climb the columns and ladder to shimmy back to the ledge. Stand Jump onto the rock with a plant. Hop onto the roof and stand jump over the peak. Slide down the other side into a trench. Go south to the end and pull up into the west wall opening. Look down to the south corner and see a medipack. Jump down there and pick up a large medipack. Run west and the camera view changes. At the waterfalls, run and jump to grab an unseen west ledge. Pull up and place the Emerald Key, Ruby key and Holy Key to pen a door in the west wall.  Run off the west edge and onto a sloped block. Jump forward to grab the ladder. Climb up through the open door. Go through a short tunnel. Slide backwards drop the north slope and grab the edge. Shimmy to the right and pull up. Go forward and see a monkey swing above your head.

 

Stand jump to grab the monkey swing and follow it to the west. Near the rock wall, the monkey swing bends to the right and then left again to the west. Follow the monkey swing to the end and drop onto a ledge. Light a flare and look up. The monkey swing continues north over the water and back east again.  Grab the monkey swing and continue to follow it. The monkey swing bends again and can be difficult because of the slope of the monkey swing. Continue to follow the monkey swing and drop at the end onto a ledge at a tunnel entrance. Follow the tunnel to the west. When the tunnel widens to a cave, loop around to the right and pull down a wall switch. This opens a door in the north wall. Continue west and awaken two skeletons. Use the shotgun to blast them out the open door into the water below.

 

Go west and stand jump over the fire onto a safe tile. Stand jump over the next fire to a safe tile.  Jump onto the next slope and bounce between the slopes with a curve to get over the next fires. Or run at a diagonal across the safe tile and jump with a curve to clear the fires. Repeat your preferred jump to reach an alcove in the west wall. Pull down the wall switch. Jump over the two fires again and notice a block has dropped in the north wall near the first fire. Hop up there and pick up the Golden Key. Drop into the water below. Swim east and over the sunken ship. Continue east and walk up onto the beach. Go to closed gate in the south hut. Use the Golden key to open the gate. Step inside the alcove and pick up the Old Key.

 

Go back to the water and swim west over the sunken ship. Swim south and down to the stern of the ship. Swim north along the seafloor bottom and see a hole in the side of the ship. Swim inside and surface in a small room. Shoot a skeleton into the water. Use the Old Key in the key lock in the north-east corner. You get a cut scene of a door opening in the flooded ship. Light a flare and go west to pick up red shotgun shells and a small medipack. Swim out of the ship and surface. Swim north over the top hull of the ship. You can see two windows and a hole where you can enter the ship.

 

Dive into the hole and swim south through an open door. Swim to the south-west corner for air. Dive and swim to the south wall next to you and pull down an underwater handle switch from the ceiling. Swim north-east to exit the room. Turn to the left and enter another open door into a flooded room. Go to the north wall corner and pull open an underwater door. Enter and turn to the right. Swim up to the ceiling and pull down a second underwater handle switch. Exit and swim back to the first room for air. Dive in again and swim north through the ship. Swim around the nets and enter an open gate and surface.

 

Pull up on any side and shoot the two skeletons into the water. It seemed easier from the east side of the hole. Search the floor for two red shotgun shells. Climb down the north side of the ledge and onto a rocky ledge. Run and jump to a block to the west. Run and jump with grab to land on a lower west ledge. Run and jump with grab to the slope block you see in the lower north-west. Land on it and slide down. Slide off onto another slope and jump. Land on a second slope and jump again to grab a ledge on the north wall. If you fall in the water, the current carries you onto spikes and you die. And there is a shark in the water as well. Follow the rocky ledges to the east and pick up a small medipack.

 

Now return to the west to where you grabbed the ledge after the slope slides. Run and jump slightly south of west to clear the slope and grab a ledge to the west. This is a "leap into the dark" affair, as the author did not include binoculars. Save the game and jump with a flare and you can see where the ledge is. Then reload and try again in the dark. When you make it, pull up and jump through the triangular gap in front of you. Go south-east and try to shoot the shark swimming near the waterfalls in the upper water pool. This way, it does not annoy you later. If you cannot shoot it now, you can shoot it later.

 

Run and jump south-east onto the flat rock to the left of the waterfalls. If you fall into the water in this area, the current carries you over the waterfall to the spikes. Go east and stand jump to the higher hill. Look to the south-west to see a box on a hill near a closed gate. That is the final objective. Jump south-east to more flat rocks. Follow the flat rocks to the south and stand facing in between the two waterfalls at the south wall. Drop into the water and turn around to see an underwater cave in the north wall. Swim into the cave and on the floor are secret #4 and Mayan Talisman #4. Swim out and pull back up onto the north flat rocks. Stand jump north onto the hill and go to the east.

 

Run and jump to grab an upper east ledge. Pull up and follow the ledge to the south. Run and jump to grab the next ledge to the south. Pull up and go south to stand jump onto a ledge at the south wall. Go west to the hull of the ship. Slide down the slope and grab the edge. Shimmy to the right until you can stand up. Jump over the waterfall and see a window above you. Run and jump west to land on a flat ledge. Just follow the ledge around and jump down to the box on the hill. Open the box and pick up the Mask of Yophokk. The gate opens and an earthquake occurs. Ceiling beams fall from the ceiling. Enter the gate and follow the tunnel. Be careful of parts of the falling ceiling. Eventually, you reach the end of the tunnel and see the beach again. Run to the exit and the game shows you the statistics. Run onto the beach and the level ends.
