Lara slides down into an underground cave. Pick up some uzi ammo
and by entering the cave the first thing she sees is a skeleton lying on the
floor.
Go to the west wall and start climbing. It is rather easy with standing
jumps some running jumps, (in the NE corner is a small medipack) and
your goal is the west wall, all the way up for SECRET # 1, arrows. By
this time the skeleton is awake, so jump down and jump into the hole in the
floor avoiding the skeleton. Lara falls down into some water.
Swim through and
around the first corner you can swim up, but that comes later, for now keep on
swimming. At the end when you can climb out a Harpy is waiting. Pick up the revolver
ammo, and near the entrance of this room is a block, climb on it and one
higher and you are in the spike room.
Go straight two blocks
along the south wall, then to the third after the spikes are down. Turn to your
right (N) and stand on the next right (N) and the next (N) and the next, you
are next to the wall now. Face west and step on the next (wall is on your
right), one more and time the last jump over the spikes.
Into the opening, up a
ramp an into a lava room. Turn around and find a jump lever there. The lava has
turn into water, in the SW corner get the ORNATE HANDLE and swim to the
other side. Follow through and get the HATHOR EFFIGI. There is a small medipack
under one bench.
Standing on the top of the ramp, you can hear a Harpy screaming so be prepared.
Get into the water again and right around the first corner, swim up. Then get
in the room the revolver ammo, and combine the Hathor Effigy with the
Ornate Handle and place the PORTAL GUARDIAN.
Enter the new room and
get the PHAROS KNOT from the coffin. Back into the water to place the
Knot at the door in the room with the burners. Get the medipack and
approach the double door and they open up and watch the flyby.
Big hall.
In this room you have
to place several artifacts and there are none in the backpack. A Harpy attacks
and you can pick up the arrows. In the NE corner is a coffin and in
there is the CROSSBOW. In the SE corner get the CROWBAR and the
HORSEMAN’S GEM. By the way, if you look in the coffin, there still is a Gem
and a crowbar in there, but you can’t get it LOL.
You have one Gem so
there are three ways to go. I started with placing the Gem in right receptacle
on the south wall. A harpy appears again before you can do that and after
placing the gem, climb the block. Climb the ledge east and enter the corridor
right. Pick up another HORSEMAN’S GEM and LASER SIGHT and REVOLVER.
Combine the Sight with crossbow or revolver and shoot; by shooting the benches,
the spikes retract. At the other side get all the revolver ammo. Go
north and stand in the spiral. See flyby. Better turn and get into the open
door south, as you will have a hard time shooting the Demi God from this
distance. Pry the BLACK BEETLE loose and pick up the ORNATE HANDLE.
You can have a go at the Demi God now if you want.
Retrace your steps to
the big room and place the other Gem on the south wall.
Watch out for the
clanking knives, do look left and right and you can gather revolver, uzi
ammo and arrows. For the next passage, just run through it (don’t use the
dash key) and the spikes wont hurt you. After another clanking knife and the
next floor has burners. The best way is to stand as near to the wall as you can
get and jump over the fire.
Next trap is poison
darts. At the end get the medipacks, HATHOR EFFIGI and HORSEMAN’S GEM.
Now you have to go back the same way. The spikes are the only hurdle you have
to take your time to watch the spikes. There are places between the spiked you
be safe, so time it carefully.
On the south wall
place the PORTAL GUARDIAN (after combining the Hathor Effigy and the
Ornate Handle) and slide down. Get the PHAROS KNOT and in the SW corner
is a walkthrough wall, but watch your back as a skeleton is on the loose. The
end of this small corridor is also a walkthrough wall and once in this room, I
would save. Get the revolver ammo and uzi ammo and watch that skeleton
pretty careful as he walks over invisible tiles. That is the way you have to go
to the other side. The third block from the right is also a walkthrough wall.
Next room is pitch
black and you can see a small medipack lying there. You better walk here, go
straight (E), left (N) as far as, right (E) as far as, now south and then east
and get the small medipack.
Now go north, you are walking on some steps, then west, north and west and
north again.
Jump over the slanted
part and pry the BLACK BEETLE loose. In the NW corner is another
walkthrough wall and climb the ladder. You can hear another Harpy so jump down,
you have been here before, so back into the water and get to the big hall. You
still have a Gem that one goes on the north wall. Kill the harpy and enter. Get
the UZI and slide down. You enter a lava room. Save and do a running
jump to the first slanted block, slide jump and so on and it might take a
couple of tries as there is no trick here. Get the arrows in the corridor
and stand as right as possible for a running jump to the next ledge. Look up
and see that monkey climb and at the end drop down. This is a good place to
save again. Take a slightly angled jump slide and a curved jump to the left.
Stand all the way back and do a standing jump with grab, shimmy all the way to
the right and pull up, slide and keep on jumping with the cursor so you can
land on the ledge with the medipack. Then a standing jump with grab,
pull up slide and jump. Another save tile. A running jump to the west and
shimmy left and pull up. Then another running jump with grab and go around the
corner to get another HORSEMAN’S GEM. The door opens and climb the
ladder.
In the next room a
Harpy is waiting and pick up the small medipack and revolver ammo. Get
into the small room on the end, the door opens, Get the BLACK BEETLE of
the wall and find the jump lever east. This turns the lava into water, so go
out again and in the SE part to the right is the PHAROS KNOT. Now enter
the door and you are back in the big room. Now place the two Knots. Follow
through and pick up revolver ammo and arrows.
Next room you drop in
has at least four Harpies and one Demi God so fight them. Under the benches are
a medipacks and pry the last BLACK BEETLE from the wall. Back to
the entrance and a block is there so you can climb up and out of here.
Now place on the east wall the last Gem and there are two harpies here. Under
the benches are revolver and uzi ammo and a HORSEMAN’S GEM.
Place the Beetles and get the MUSIC SCROLL. The door in the NE corner is
open and pick up that small medipack. Enter the corridor east and jump
over the lava field with the help of the cursor. There is nothing under the
bench, Go into the opening and at the end a standing jump. I would walk forward
carefully and then hop back and take a running jump to get over the pit that
you don’t see. Then another running jump and yes you jump into the lava, LOL.
Climb the ladder and pick up the uzi ammo[b] and follow through. You
are on top of the big room. Pick up the second [b]MUSIC SCROLL and at the
end slide down.
Skeleton alert and use the crowbar at the door on the end. Follow
through and get down through the hole in the floor. Place the two Scrolls and
enter the throne chamber. Here are four Demi Gods and after slaying them, place
the Gem on the door left (NW) and enter. This is the end of the level.
