Start by sliding into a small valley.
Head north and push the statue one step forward to open a door in the west hut.
Go over there to the next valley and meet a tribesman,
get rid of him and climb the west boxes. Take a few steps forward and stand
above a deep valley with a structure in the centre. Run and jump to the north
grassy wall, turn to face north-west and take continuation jump. Go along the
grassy wall until you're facing the structure from the south side. Run/jump and
grab the edge and pull up to pick up the Crowbar.
Run/jump back and reach the east wall, use the ladder and climb down to the
bottom. Kill two baby dinos, then head
south.
Climb the ladder, go forward a little bit
and take a standing jump SE over the spikes into the opening. Enter the east
room and ignore the rope. However, drop down to the bottom and watch two dinos attacking from the east. Finish them, then
turn to the alcove and collect the Shotgun.
Run down into the next room, get shotgun ammo
from both sides and a medipack from the
south-east corner, and kill the dino that
attacks. Go back and climb out, and now face the rope. Run/jump and grab it,
and swing forward to enter the room and throw the switch in the south wall, get
a screenie of a lowering block revealing a closed door. Go back to the valley
and head west, look for a short block to climb.
Face south-west, run/jump to the small
square, climb the blocks and reach the west door. Use the crowbar to open it,
enter inside, drop to the place below and you find Secret
#1. Pick up the revolver ammo
and medipack, then climb up and follow
outside. Ignore the south wall ladder and just go back down the earlier square.
Climb north and walk along the grassy wall to the end and turn to face
south-east and take a running jump over to the grassy ledge. Climb a short
block and take a jump into the north opening. Climb the wall down to shallow
water and climb the west wall. Jump to the ledge and pull the switch, you get a
screenie of another block lowering. Get shotgun
ammo next to the west bars, then go back to the valley.
Climb back to the west opening and use
the south wall ladder and start climbing. Move left, climb down, keep left and
climb up into an opening where the block lowered. Enter the room and get shotgun ammo from the south-west corner, then go
the east wall. Pull the switch and you hear doors opening. Go back to the
ladder and keep climbing up to reach the doors you opened. Follow the tunnel
and you'll arrive at a village. Watch for a tribesman
attacking from the south and two more tribesmen
attacking from the west. Wow, what hospitality. Notice the south closed dino
corral you'll open later and start exploring the village.
The hut next to you is empty, head south
and find a cage. Pull/push it onto the ornate square to open a small crawlspace
in one of the huts. Enter the west hut and just cross it outside. Enter the
south hut and find the crawlspace. Fall down to the bottom and run to the end.
Throw the switch and the dino corral is open. Climb back into the hut and kill
the dinos outside, then enter the north
hut, cross it to the outside and enter the next hut, look for a closed door in
the west side. Make your way over to the open dino corral (NE corner of this
area) and find the switch in the south-west corner, throw it down and return to
the hut you just came from (NW corner of this area). Go through the door you
just opened and find the north opening. Stand with your back to the sloped wall
inside the room, backflip, slide and jump forward, grab the invisible crack in
the east wall. Shimmy left and pull into a crawlspace for Secret #2, get crossbow
explosive ammo and shotgun ammo.
Crawl back and drop to the bottom to get
more shotgun ammo next to the bars, then
climb up the south ladder. Go east and climb up, head over to the opening above
a deep pit. Take a running jump across the pit slightly south-east over to the
next opening and land without grabbing. Quickly draw pistols and kill the tribesman who attacks, then get his medipack. Go in a little bit further, crawl into
a crawlspace, crawl outside and get a beautiful flyby of the grand canyon and a
new village on the other side. Stand back at the canyon's edge, drop and grab
the edge, fall down onto a sloped grassy wall and keep falling down onto a
rocky ledge (taking a little damage). Take the south tunnel and jump into the
lake, swim south toward the waterfall, notice the ladder on the east wall and
small niche in the west where it's hard (but possible) to stand. Face north,
pull up onto the sloped wall and backflip to the next sloped wall behind,
slide/jump forward and grab the ladder. Climb up and turn north, do a
monkeyswing across the waterfall over the ledge.
Get down the east side and light a flare
in the dark, look for a crawlspace in the west wall. Crawl inside between the
bars, pick up shotgun ammo, then pull
back the skeleton and get revolver ammo.
Crawl out, drop down and go out north.
Take a running jump across the stream and go east along the ledge, climb
into the north opening in the dark corner and follow down to a place with a
pool and three mills. Run/jump the ledge near the first mill and throw the
switch to raise a trapdoor. Do a monkeyswing south toward the jumpswitch and
pull it down to raise another trapdoor and fall into the pool. Watch where you
are swimming and keep away from the west opening, otherwise you will be grabbed
by the current and drawn away out to the lake.
Swim east and get out of the pool, jump
back to the ledge and monkeyswing again, this time take a left at the second
raised trapdoor and drop down over the bars to get flares.
Keep monkeyswinging north between the the first two mills, drop onto the ledge
and throw the switch to raise one more trapdoor. Jump/grab the ceiling and keep
monkeyswinging along the ceiling and over the to last switch, which raises the
last trapdoor so you can reach the north-west ledge. Follow down the tunnel and
reach a place above the lake with a nice canyon view. Climb the south ledge and
turn around to face north. Take a simple running jump, grab the grassy ledge
and pull up onto it. Look through the bars left for a place you'll reach later.
Anyway, stand facing east and take a long running jump toward the ladder. Climb
the next ledge and then climb the ladder, go a few steps forward and left, and
voila, the village is in front of you. Run down the valley and get welcomed by
two tribesmen.
Take a short tour and learn about this
area. There are two huts from both sides for later and some kind of structure
in the center, and a temple with three closed doors beyond the terrace. Head
over there and kill the wolves. The west
side on the top of the slope has a wall with a row cog (missing one), and the
east side has a room with two receptacles. First go back into the west tunnel,
climb the boxes and pass the triangle opening. Go left and climb the next boxes
in front of a face wall. Kill two tribesmen,
take the left passage and follow the tunnel into the next room, kill another tribesman. Head to the south wall and pick up flares. Get back, find the slope and run down
into the water, swim to the north tunnel and into a big underwater room.
Swim to the north-east column and pull a
lever, then swim to the north-west column and pull there a lever. A trapdoor
opens at the bottom, dive and watch out for the dart emitter, keep swimming
into the south tunnel and look for an underwater door in the east wall. Pull it
back and swim inside, then swim up and climb the west ledge for a medipack. Swim back to where the dart emitter is
and keep swimming into the north tunnel, at the end pull the underwater door.
Swim up and get out of the water. Look at the south box and look north, there's
a waterfall, something has to be done here, indeed. Climb the box and take
standing jump/grab south to the slope and run up. Kill two dinos and keep running up the next south slope to
the end. Climb into the alcove face and and take an angled jump left. Look on
the south wall, there are two boulders stuck there.
Go north-east, pull inside the crawlspace
and drop into the room, first pull the switch on the west wall to open the gate
to your left. Drop south into a granary and look for a block at the north end,
then turn around and run down the granary. Lara's attention will turn to the
burning block west for later use. Find the cage in the south room, go behind it
and pull the switch to lower that block you saw. Now start pushing/pulling the
cage over to the trigger tile one square from the north end, when it's done go
back to the switch and push it back up. Return to the room above by climbing
the nearby north-east box and jumping to the higher ledge. Pull/push the cage
outside the room and place it onto the marked square next to the boulder. Go
back to the granary and find another cage in the next south room. Do as you did
with the first cage and find the switch in the east wall to open the exit gate.
When you have the cage outside the room, simply pull/push it over to the next
marked square and get ready to jump back to avoid the triggered boulder.
Four white
spirits are released, so quickly turn around and run back down to
the granary, over toward the burning block, to get rid of them. The boulder you
released rolled down and pushed the box to the center and raised the water
level. Go back up and run down the slope to trigger the second boulder, staying
close to the west wall as it passes you, and at the bottom jump over to the
floating box. Jump up, grab the ledge above and pick up a medipack. Jump back into the water, go underneath
the box, take the east opening and start swimming all the way back to the place
you entered and surface. As you can see, the water level has been raised here,
too, so climb out north and run up the new tunnel. Take from the pedestal the Mask of Parabailarlabamba and pick up the Torch next to it.
Turn around and slide down the west slope
back to the earlier tunnel, climb the boxes ahead and return to the village.
First go to the east faraway hut, enter and throw the torch aside as you have
to deal with a tribesman. Pick up the
torch and light it at the east fireplace. Go the next hut west, enter and light
the west fireplace to open the south door. Throw the torch and it'll disappear.
Drop down to the place below and go north, crawl into the opening and find
yourself above the three mills. Follow the ledge to the other end, turn to face
north-east and run/jump over to the NE ledge for Secret
#3 (although you may have heard the tell-tale music earlier) and
pick up the Crossbow. Make your way back
to the hut and go outside.
Head over toward the east tunnel, run
down and turn south next to the bars to find a passage, and follow to a mill
pool. The underwater passage under the mill and the east underwater passage
have strong currents and anyway that's for later. Also stay away from the south
edge, otherwise you'll fall back to an earlier place. Climb the east ledge and
slide down to your right in front of the mill, where the camera angle becomes
fixed. Press the action key, and Lara will grab the mill and at the top she'll
jump forward. Land onto a timed trap door with a left curve (but without
grabbing) and quickly jump to the west sloped wall while the trap door drops
and grab the edge. Shimmy left, then pull up and backflip to the sloped wall
behind and take a jump as far as you can over to the south-west and grab the
ledge. Pull up, go over to the cog lever and look for a cage in the south wall.
Pull/push the cage all the way over to
the north-east marked tile and the trap door rises. Turn around and head over
to the south opening, run down the stairs to the bottom and get a medipack next to the skeleton. Go back up the
stairs and stand in front of the cog lever. Pull it six times to open a timed
gate behind the raised trap door. Take an angled jump left, run over there and
jump onto the trap door, roll and you should pass the lowering gate. Follow the
short passage to the end. You are standing in front of a faraway opening
between two sloped walls. Take an angled running jump to the left wall, slide a
little and backflip to the slope behind you.
Slide nearly to the bottom and jump off with a right midair curve to
grab the edge of the south opening and pull up. Follow up the stairs and reach
the opening, run/jump and grab over toward the large space opening and keep
running and jump to the next east opening. Follow down a little slope and go
behind the center block.
Enter a big room with a center structure
colored red and orange, and blow up the skeletons.
Go south and jump over the slope, pass the first sloped orange column and reach
the next column. Face north to the sloped column, jump onto it, backflip onto
the black sloped wall behind and jump up to grab the climbable ceiling.
Monkeyswing over to the east wall, drop/grab the jumpswitch to raise a trap
door. Head north and jump over the slope, stand facing the first sloped column.
Jump forward, backflip and grab the ceiling. Monkeyswing left over to the
raised trapdoor and fall onto it. Enter the east alcove and pull the switch.
Safety drop to the floor, head north again, jump over the slope and this time
go the second column, jump, backflip and grab the ceiling. Monkeyswing over to
the west wall, drop/grab the jumpswitch, another trapdoor is raised. Once again
go south and jump over the slope, take the first column, now you know how to
grab the ceiling.
Monkeyswing over to the raised trapdoor,
fall onto it and enter the west alcove, pull the switch. Drop down, go east,
enter the new opening and climb up the ladder, near the ceiling backflip to
land on a ledge, turn around and jump to the roof. Look for a closed trapdoor
in the middle, then kill the tribesman.
Jump over to the west alcove and pick up the medipack,
you'll also open the trapdoor behind you by stepping on the symbol. Jump back
to the roof and drop through the hole onto a ledge. Both sides of the ledge
wall are climbable, use one of them and reach the ledge below. Shift around the
corner toward the interior, drop down and take from the pedestal the Golden Disk (watch the blade trap). Now jump into
the water and swim west, let the stream carry you back to the mill's pool.
Return to the village and go to the north
end, turn right and head east and enter the room for placing in the receptacles
the Mask and the Disk you're carrying. Go back and find the opened doors north,
follow the passage ahead. As soon as you turn right into the east passage, stop
a while next to the four columns and look for a crawlspace in the south wall.
Climb inside, crawl and drop into a room. For the moment ignore the two
switches in the south alcoves. However, pull the jumpswitch in the north wall
to open the east gate. Follow outside this room and blow up two skeletons. Go north past the columned passage to
your left and look for a movable half statue near the west wall. Pull/push it
all the way into the north room and place the statue onto the top of the raised
block (flanked by the three wooden trap doors) and look for a raising/lowering
block behind the statue.
Go back to the switches room and pull
only the left switch to lower the block in the previous room. Get back over
there and keep push the statue twice onto the top of the block. Return to the
switches room and pull up the left switch, then go back. Climb the south-east
box up to the place above and you'll see the statue there. Simply push the
statue north twice and place it under the second half statue. Half your work is
done, now have to bring the second statue over here. Carefully drop down and go
back to the switches, pull down the left and right switches. Once again go back
to the previous room and drop to the bottom, go north-west and crawl into the
alcove for the Revolver. Now go
south-west and push/pull the half statue onto the lighter tile, climb out and
go back to the switches. This time pull up only the right switch and go back,
push the statue forward twice onto the top of the block. Get back to the
switches for the last time and pull up the left switch, run back and climb up
as you did before and push the statue south under the second half statue.
The east gate opens, so go over there,
run up the stairs and safety drop down through the next opening. Ahead is a
deep gap, and you need to cross to the other side. Stand close to the north
wall in front of the horizontal pole, run/jump and grab it while pressing the
forward arrow, this will cause you to swing as a gymnast does and give you
power to land safely on the left (lower) side of the opposite ledge. When it's
done, find the east opening and catch the zip line to cross the next deep room,
then release and grab to land inside the next opening. Drop down to the next
passage and head south. Get a flyby of a huge place with a structure and water
all around, before it stops to focus on a high switch. Jump down onto the low
structure and turn to face north-west, look for a sloped wall. Run/jump over
there and immediately jump forward to grab the opposite climbable wall.
Climb up to the top, pull up onto the
slope, then backflip to reach the ledge behind you. Pull the switch to lower a
block in a wall you cannot see from here. Now simply jump into the water below
and swim south, climb the ledge above the tunnel into the central structure.
Look for the opening in the south-west wall, take an angled jump from the west
edge, grab the opening and pull inside. Run to the end and climb the east wall
about halfway up and backflip onto the top of the structure. Carefully go east
and pick up shotgun ammo on the other
side. Go back a bit, hang drop and slide down north, and get ready to blow up two
skeletons. Then step to the north-east
corner, turn around and the camera will show you an opening below. Drop/grab
the edge and release, grab the next opening edge and pull up inside. Cross the
short passage ahead (avoid the blade by crawling under it), then pick up the torch.
Jump down and run north toward the
burning pedestal, light the torch and use it to light the next pedestal. Throw
the torch aside and head south, blow up the skeleton
and climb up into the new opening in the corner. Climb the ladder, and before
the moving blade hits you backflip with a roll and grab the next ladder. Keep
climbing up and once again backflip/roll to the first ladder right before you
reach the next blade. Climb to the top and move left, go to the large ladder
south and climb up toward the red ceiling. Just before you get close to the
ceiling, backflip/roll and grab the next large ladder, keep climbing up while
moving right into the room. Get from the pedestal the Little Wheel, doing so opens the gate near to
you. Pull the switch and get a short earthquake while the whole place is
flooded with water.
Turn around, run and jump into the water.
Swim out of the structure and keep to the north wall pull there a lever (high
and slightly right of center). Roll and dive to the bottom, then swim south
left of the structure while looking for a new opening near the end to your
right. You may want to pause here for air and save your game, because you're
facing a long swim. Swim inside and keep into the south tiny hole up and into the
west tunnel, let the stream carry you forward. Keep swimming into the room and
proceed into the north tunnel, watching
out for the spear traps. Keep swimming until you get out in a pool. Surface,
take some air and dive into the south tunnel, let the current bring you back to
the mill's pool. Once again go back to the valley, exiting this room
north-west. Go across the terrace and to the north wall, from there head west
over toward the wall and bring the missing wheel to the row. The middle doors
north are open, so enter there and look for a cage in the west side.
Proceed into the next room and trigger
some fire and flames around the slightly raised floor to make yourself a hard
life, as you are going to have to pull/push the cage all the way over toward
the closed gate. When it's done, and you've placed the cage in front of the
gate, the gate will open. Run up the passage to a place above the fire/flame
room, kill a tribesman and climb the
short box near the center of the wall. Monkey swing east across the room, drop
down at the end and head north. Slowly enter the passage and trigger a rolling
ball, avoid it and then run up to the end.
Pull a timed switch on the north wall,
roll and start running forward, jump over to the rope, grab it and swing
forward, jump to land on the bridge ahead. Run/jump over toward the raised
trapdoor, grab and pull up and reach the final opening. Follow out of the
temple and get a flyby showing you the last door opening. Go west and find a medipack on the lower ledge, then drop down to
the ground. Enter the new tunnel and notice from here there are two different
short ways, both lead you to the same passage.
First way (without finding the last secret): pull the timed
switch on the north wall. It turns off the fires on the high blocks in the deep
room ahead. Roll and start running down the passage, jump/grab the first block,
pull up on the block, step back once and take a running jump and grab to the
next block, pull up and take a last running jump and grab toward the opening,
follow the passage into the next room.
Second way: Ignore the timed switch and simply go to the end of
the passage and climb down the symbols wall to the opening below. Enter inside
and climb to the top, cross the three swinging sledgehammers and reach Secret #4. Pick up shotgun
ammo and a medipack, then
drop down west into the passage. Enter the north big room and deal with a T-rex (shoot him in the belly, it's the best way
to kill him). But your troubles are not over, as you have to kill three more dinos. Run north-west and look for a ladder, climb
up and move to the left ledge. Run/jump the south ledges and turn to face
south-west. Run/jump to a small ledge, then to the east ledge and proceed to
the north-east ledge. From there run/jump to the east opening and follow a
short passage.
Jump south and kill a tribesman attacking from behind the boxes. Jump to
the next short ledge south and another running jump and grab south to the
higher boxes ledge. Kill two tribesmen
and proceed west down the ledge, take a simple jump to the north ledge and a
running jump slightly north-east to the next dark place. Keep moving north and
jump to the last short ledge. Jump and grab the ladder ahead, climb to the top
and pull up. Go north and around the
corner to find the switch and throw it. Drop down south onto the invisible
roof. Seems the T-rex and two dinos didn't really die. So kill them once again,
this time forever, then run south into the tunnel and finish this level.
