The author in his notes states that there are five secrets. I only found and
got credit for four secrets. I played the level twice and found out that two
secrets have the same number so that the only first secret found is the only
one that counts. There was a note in the TRLE forum from the author that he
numbered two secrets the same. Hence only four secrets actually count. I will
note the problem where it occurred. [End note]
You start on a bridge over a large water pool. Go
south and west to shoot a vase for a small medipack.
If you look east you can see a brown tile on the bridge. Dive into the water
and swim under the east section of the bridge. Pick up red
shotgun shells beside a plant. Swim to the south-west section of the
pool and pull up onto a block. This raises a timed block at the brown section
of the east bridge. Stand on the north corner of the block and face east. Run
and jump with no grab onto the bridge. If you grab the edge of the bridge to
pull up, you lose. Run onto the east bridge and jump onto the timed block. Pull
up to the north onto the roof of the area. Jump to the south roof and go east
to pick up red shotgun shells near a plant. Go
south-west to pick up a shotgun for secret #1. Drop back onto the bridge and dive into
the water to extinguish a wraith. Use the block
to get back onto the bridge again.
Go south and pull up into a tunnel. Stay on the
either side and walk forward until you trigger a spike trap. Go through a spike
trap and wait for the next spikes to pop up. The tiles alternate as safe tiles
and spike traps. Time you runs through spikes traps. At the end shoot two bats. Carefully jump through the teeth doors and
hop up into the south tunnel. Pick up a small medipack
from the floor. Get through a second set of teeth doors. You enter a branched
corridor. Look south and you may see a flying gargoyle.
Go there and shoot it. Also notice two closed doors. Return north to corridor
branch. Follow the west corridor and notice a darker floor area in the
north-west corner. Turn to the left and go south in this corridor. You pass a
closed door between white pillars. You should see a white moveable block. Move
that block onto the darker tile in the north-west corner.
Now go east and south again. Hop onto the block in
front of the closed door in the south wall. A trap door has open above your
head. Pull up to the west and into a tunnel lined with skeletons. Follow the
tunnel to a walkway surrounded by vertical bars. Go north a little and see a
side walkway. Continue north to the corner. Jump over a small box and pick up flares off the floor. Follow the walkway around to a
moveable block. Push the block to the south corner. Return and see that some
wall torches have stopped. Enter that the side walkway into a room with a
platform and two pedestals. Go to the west pedestal and pick up a revolver. The east pedestal with the ammo drops a
ball on your head. Get on the north side of the west pedestal. Jump up and
through the ceiling tiles to pull down a jump switch on the hidden north wall.
Exit the room to the south-east through the tunnel again.
Drop down onto the block and the door is open in
the south wall beside you. Drop into the tunnel and go south. You emerge on a
ledge over a deep room with a deadly floor. Run and jump south onto a ledge. Be
careful of a fire emitter on the breakable tile below you. Run off the edge to
the west. Land on the breakable tile. Run forward to another breakable tile.
Run and jump forward to grab a climbable wall ladder. Climb up and pull up into
a hole. Pull up onto a ledge and use the floor lever. You can see a gate open
in the upper west wall. Grab the ceiling and monkey swing over to the open
door. Release and grab the lower edge. Quickly pull up to avoid a fire emitter.
You enter a room with vertical bars. Go south and
shoot a bat. Go west to an opening in the bars.
You see a room that looks like it is filled with water. It is a fake, as there
is no water. Run down the ramp onto the second tile to trigger a rolling ball
behind you. Turn to the east and jump east onto a hard-to-see breakable tile.
Run and jump onto the east ledge. Pick up red shotgun
shells and a large medipack. This should be secret #2. This secret is not counted. If
you did not get secret #1, then this would be secret #1 and the other secret
would not count. The secrets should be numbered as 1,2,3,4, and 5. I think the
author numbered the secrets as 1,1,2,3, and 4. Hence only four secrets actually
count in the statistics.
Safety drop to the floor. Use the floor lever and
get a cut scene of a door opening. Look west and see that the ramp has four
sections. Run and jump onto the second section from the top. The third section
from the top is a fire trap. It is very hard to jump over the fire trap from
the bottom of the ramp. Return to the
entrance door.
When it is safe from the fire emitter, safety drop
onto the ledge below you. Stand near the middle of the ledge and stand jump
north-east onto a breakable tile. Run and jump to the ledge at the north wall.
Pick up revolver ammo and stand jump onto the
column to the east. Run and jump onto the ledge to the north-east. Stand at the
right side corner and jump up to grab the ledge above you. Pull up through the
bars back to the room entrance. Go south though the tunnel and pull up through
the open door. Drop down and go north a little and turn to the left to the open
door of the cut scene.
Enter the door and drop into a room with a large
table. Pick up flares and a large medipack from the pedestals at the west wall.
To the right of the pedestals is a well-hidden jump switch. Pull down the jump
switch hidden in the hanging vines. You hear a door open. Exit the room and go
north, west, and then south to the open door between the white pillars. Run
down the tunnel to the end. You emerge onto a ledge over a large room with a
deadly floor. You can see a closed door in the north wall. There are many
slopes, wall ladders, and breakable tiles.
Drop to a lower west ledge and get a flyby of the
room. Stand jump to a north column. Run and jump to the next north column. Time
the swinging lamps and run and jump into the tunnel in the east wall. The wall
section looks climbable but you can jump through it. Pick up a large medipack from the tunnel floor. Jump back to
the columns to return to the entrance ledge. Go west down onto two lower
ledges. Run and jump to the west and land on a floating platform. Jump down to
the west ledge. Stand between the north and middle platforms. Look down to the
east and see an item on a lower ledge. Run off the west ledge and you should
land on the ledge below to pick up a shotgun.
Run to the south-west corner of that ledge for red
shotgun shells. Drop into the center section and land in a water trench.
Swim north into an underwater tunnel. Continue
north and through a crawl space. Swim east and surface in a tall flooded room
to get air. To the east is a closed door. Now swim down under a submerged
wooden bridge section and enter the tunnel in the north wall. Just swim through
the red pushbutton texture. Pick up red shotgun shells
and pull down an underwater lever hidden by the hanging wines on the east wall
just inside the entrance. Exit and surface for air again and notice that the
door is open. Swim down again and into a similar tunnel in the south wall. Pick
up flares and revolver
ammo and avoid a barracuda. Exit and swim
up to the open door. Dive into the water and pull down another underwater lever
on the north wall. It is located below the open door at the north-east corner
bottom of the tall flooded room.
Surface again and pull up into a tunnel. To the
south is the room with the lava floor that you just left. Go north and shoot a native with a hole in his chest. Go north to a
T-junction. Go east and push a moveable block to pick up blue shotgun shells. You can replace the moveable
block if you want. Turn around and follow the tunnel to the west. Sprint
through a steam emitter and enter a wide tunnel. Go east and jump over a spike
trap. Continue east through a steam emitter. Pick up small
medipack in front of a north wall tunnel. First follow the tunnel around
the next corner for a large medipack. If you
follow the tunnel you will reach the other side of the white moveable block.
Return to the north wall tunnel. Enter and push a white moveable block to the
north as far as possible. You get a cut scene of a section of the room with the
lava floor.
Follow the tunnels back and be careful of the spike
traps and steam emitters. You should reach the open door over the room with the
lava floor. Jump the columns to get back to the entrance area. Jump down onto
the lower ledge. Run and jump to grab a rope hanging from the south-west
ceiling. Slide down the rope and give a small swing to the south-east. Release
and land on a raised block. Jump south onto a block. Then run and jump west
onto the balcony from the cut scene. Go west and grab the ceiling. Monkey swing
to the west and drop into a water hole.
Swim down and then swim to the west. Ignore any
side tunnels. Then swim up and swim into a water channel to the north. Swim to
the end and stand on the slope. Stay there and shoot the barracuda that followed you in the underwater tunnels.
It may stay at the far end so just keep shooting. There is a closed door on the
upper west wall above you. Swim back south into the channel and pick up flares. Swim south and back into the underwater
tunnels. Swim east into the first tunnel. Continue to swim east and through a
spike trap. Swim to the end and pick up Uzi's
for secret #2. Swim back through the spikes
again. Swim back to the water trench again and shoot another barracuda that followed you. Swim back again through
the spikes. Pull down the underwater lever on the north wall just behind the
first plant. Swim back to the water channel. You may be able to do the lever
and the Uzi's in the same trip but the barracuda always got me.
Pull up into the newly open door in the west wall.
Then pull up into a large high room. Turn to the right and pick up flares. Go west and shoot a native.
Go south between two columns and shoot another native.
The east column is climbable for later. Go north and jump up onto the hill.
Then run and jump north onto a bridge. Go west and jump onto the fenced ledge
at the north wall. You get a fast flyby of the room showing you a closed gate.
Pick up flares from the floor at your feet.
Step to the east through the fence and pull down a jump switch on the north
wall. Safety drop to the floor.
Go west to the corner and then south to the middle
of the room. Look for a high jump switch on the south side of a tall column.
Climb the block beside the column and jump to pull down the jump switch. From
the block, the jump switch is hidden behind hanging vines. Climb back onto the
block and go north to some small plants. Look to the west for a hanging rope.
Stand jump to grab the rope. Swing west and release to land behind the fence.
Go south and pick up Uzi’s for secret #3. Continue south and pick up red shotgun shells and flares.
Go to the north end and jump the slope to land on the ground. Go east and south
and climb the left column. Shimmy to the right into a tunnel. Shoot a bat and pick up red shotgun
shells and a large medipack. Use the
floor lever and climb down to the ground. Go north to the open gate.
Enter and drop onto a platform. Just run around the
platform sides until a flyby of the room occurs. Drop onto a block below the
west fence opening. Dive into the water and swim north. Then swim east to pick
up flares and revolver
ammo. Swim south to pick up a small medipack.
Continue south into a depression to pick up revolver
ammo. Swim back to the block and pull up onto the platform again. There
is a revolver under a plant at the column with the fire emitter but I could not
get it.
Watch the fire emitter on the far west wall. When
it is safe, run and jump onto the north-west slope. Jump on the next three
slopes and grab the top of the higher slope. Shimmy to the right and pull up.
Slide down and jump with a right curve to grab a climbable column. Shimmy to
the left around two corners. Back flip, roll, and grab another climbable
column. Shimmy to the left and climb up to the top. Shimmy to the right and
drop into a tunnel. Go south and see a closed door to the east. Pick up flares and continue south. Time the spikes and drop
into the hole. Pull down the wall switch on the south wall as you fall. You
fall into the water below. Swim east and pull up onto the block and back up
onto the platform again.
Repeat the slope jumps and wall climbs as before.
Go into the east tunnel to the newly open door. Follow the tunnel to a lava
river. You see a platform with a fire emitter. Face the fire emitter an an
angle. When the fire emitter is off, side jump to the left and onto the
platform. Run and jump to grab the crevice on the west wall above the fire
emitter. Shimmy to the left to the end and pull up into an alcove to save the
game. Go through a crawl space to the end. Grab the ledge and shimmy left to
pull up onto a ledge for a large medipack. Jump
onto a west ledge to shoot a skeleton off. Time
a run onto the spikes to the north-west. Then run and jump into a north wall
alcove to pick up revolver ammo. Then time the
spikes again and jump back to run and jump to grab the east wall crevice. Pull
up back onto the ledge. Pick up a shotgun and
safety drop off the east side onto the platform below. Shoot another skeleton off the platform. I think I saw two skeletons but one may have fell off by itself.
Safety drop to the floor. Pick up revolver ammo and a small
medipack from the platforms. Do not touch the flares, as that block is a
spike trap. Get back onto the platform. Jump onto the north-east platform. Use
the floor lever and hear a trap door open. Jump onto the middle platform and
shoot off a skeleton. Jump onto the three
platforms and use the floor levers. Safety drop to the floor and jump into the
fenced hole. You drop into a room. Go west to exit the room. Drop onto a ledge
and run and jump onto the column in the water. Shoot a flying
gargoyle before it pushes you into the water. Pick up the crowbar from the one pedestal. Then pick up the Tri sphere from the other pedestal.
Dive into the water and swim to the middle of the
north wall. Stand beside the column with the fire. Grab the north wall and not
the column. Climb up and to the left over the open doorway. Drop onto the
corner and you should be safe from the fire. Ignore the breakable tiles. Drop
into the pit and run north to shoot a native.
Climb the blocks and pull up into a corridor with bars. Go north to a
T-junction. To the right is a closed door. Go left and use the crowbar to open
the door. You enter a room with three square water pools. There is also a long
water pool surrounded by a fence. In the north-east corner is a swinging blue
ball behind a fence. Drop into the pool with the fountain (pool #1). Swim to
the north-west corner and pick up the laser sight
from behind a plant. Get out and use the revolver and laser sight to shoot the
swinging blue ball.
Go to the south-west pool (pool #2) and shoot the
vases for two red shotgun shells. Get into the
pool for revolver ammo and crossbow explosive ammo. Notice an underwater tunnel
into the corner. Get out of the pool. Go north to a pool (pool #3) and awaken a
skeleton. Shoot the skeleton into the pool. Get
into the pool for revolver ammo, small medipack
and flares. Swim into the south-east corner.
Swim down the east underwater tunnel until you see a barracuda.
Swim back to the pool #3, pull up, and shoot the barracuda. There is an
underwater maze under the floor.
Go to the east side of the long water pool (pool
#4) with the fence. Jump over the fence and swim west. Swim to the end and turn
to the north. Swim into the left branch tunnel and swim straight and into pool
#3. Pull up onto any ledge and shoot the barracuda
that followed you. Now return to the long pool #4 and pick up the large medipack on the floor. Swim east and into the
right tunnel. Swim through an open door and down a hole. Pull down the
underwater lever and swim back to the long pool #4 for air. Swim west and pick
up a small medipack hidden in the plants at the
corner just before you turn to swim north again. Take the left branch tunnel
again to return to pool #3. There was a barracuda
that seemed to be stuck in the right branch tunnel. You may find it somewhere
else.
Return to pool #3. Swim to the south-east corner
and loop around to the west. Swim and pick up flares
and then return to pool #3. Swim to the south-west corner again and then swim
east. Take the first wide left branch tunnel. Just follow the tunnel and look
for a small branch tunnel to the south. Swim inside for a large medipack. Swim out and continue to follow the
underwater tunnel. You should surface at the east end of the long pool #4 to
get air. Swim north and into another wide tunnel. Follow the tunnel to pick up blue shotgun shells. Swim back to the long pool #4
for air again. Swim west again and return to pool #3. Pull up onto any ledge.
Go east to the room entrance. Continue east through the newly opened door.
You face a pit with a deadly floor. There are translucent platforms and
breakable tiles. There is a closed door in the east wall. Stand jump onto the
first platform. Stand jump onto the next platform to pick up flares. Run and jump to the next platform and shoot a
skeleton into the lava below. Run and jump to
the platform in the south-west corner. Get behind a dark corner overhanging
section and pull down a jump switch on the east wall. Run and jump back to the
middle platform. Run and jump onto the platforms near the east wall. Stand jump
into the tunnel behind the open door.
Go through a crawl space and pick up Uzi ammo and red shotgun
shells. Go pass a skeleton hung on the wall and into another crawl
space. Pick up red shotgun shells and stand up
in a large room. Go east to attract two natives.
Retreat back into the crawl space and shoot them as they are stuck against the
wall in front of you. Return to the room and see a fenced platform. Go to the
south side to find the open section of the fence. Pick up the Tra sphere from the pedestal on the platform. Go to
the south-east corner of the room to exit. Safety drop into the hole and pull
down a jump switch as you fall.
Run down the tunnel. You are attacked by red beetles. Run though many teeth doors and ignore
the floor lever. If you stop to use the floor lever, the red beetles will kill
you during a cut scene. Run to the end of the tunnel and the red beetles will
disappear. Now return and use the floor lever. You get a cut scene and hear a
door open. Return to the end of the tunnel and drop onto a platform. Run and jump
onto the south-east column. Jump to the wall ladder in the south column. Shimmy
to the left, back flip, roll, and grab another wall ladder. Shimmy to the left
around two corners and climb down to the bottom. Back flip onto a low column
behind you. Jump the columns back up to the room entrance.
Go down the ledges and run and jump to grab the
hanging rope again. Swing south and release to grab a climbable wall ladder.
Shimmy to the left around the corner. Climb down to the bottom and back flip
onto a low column. Go east to drop into a hole. Follow the tunnel through the
open door. You stop on a ledge above a deep room with a deadly floor. You get a
flyby of the room showing breakable tiles, an item, and a closed door.
Run and jump onto the south-east column. Spikes
start on the next column. Ignore the spikes and run and jump onto the next
column to the south. Stand jump south over the next two columns. You land on a
safe column while balls drop on the columns behind you. Stand jump onto the
ledge with the fence. Stand jump onto a breakable tile to the west. Walk to the
edge and jump up to grab the edge of another breakable tile. Pull up and run
and jump onto the corner ledge. Pick up the Trulala
sphere from the pedestal.
Run and jump to the north to land on a column. Just
run off the edge to the east and land on a short column. Go behind the tall
column you see to the south-east. Save the game in front of a timed wall
switch. Pull down the timed jump switch on the column. Turn to the left and
stand jump onto the west short column. Run and jump the short columns to the
north-west. Jump into the corner and run through the timed open door. Follow
the tunnel and drop into the room with a gladiator.
Shoot the gladiator with the shotgun and jump back and wait a few seconds. If
he does not fall, shoot him again and wait. Eventually he will fall after about
a dozen shots. The waiting after each shot is important. Continuous shooting
just keeps him standing to shoot blue fire at you. The revolver also works but
remember to wait after each shot. Or you can ignore him and just continue the
level.
Jump over the north block and pull up into the
north wall crawl space. Pick up a large medipack
and exit. Go around the room to a south wall crawl space. Crawl in and pick up
a large medipack and exit. There is a tunnel in the south-west corner
that ends in a closed door. Go to the column with a skeleton and a fire
emitter. Drop into the hole in front of the fire emitter. Follow the ramp down
to a small room. Pick up two grenade normal ammo
from the pedestals on the east wall blocks. Get onto the fenced platform and
pick up the grenade gun from the pedestal. Use
the floor lever and exit the room. Go up the ramp and be careful of the fire
emitter as you pull up out of the hole.
Go to the south-west corner. Follow the tunnel west
through the open door and stop in the dark section. Pick up the flares from the floor. Pull down a jump switch on the
upper dark south wall. Follow the tunnel up through the open door. You enter a
room with three receptacles on three blocks. Place the three spheres and you
hear a door open. Go south behind the column with the fire emitter. You find
the open door. Drop into the water hole. Swim down and through the floor tile.
Swim north into an underwater tunnel. Continue north to some branch tunnels and
surface for air.
The east tunnel is a dead-end. The north tunnel is
a dead-end. Swim west and follow the underwater tunnel. Watch out for floor
spikes after an air hole. Follow the tunnel to see a gold tile on the floor.
Pull down the underwater lever on the north wall. Swim east and ignore the
first branch tunnel. Swim to the end and turn to the right. Swim up to find an
open door. Swim north across the water and pull up into a tunnel. Pick up crossbow explosive ammo and crossbow
poison ammo. Return and now go through the open door. Hop onto the block
and pick up a crossbow for secret #4. Return to the open door and pull down a
jump switch on the north wall above it. You hear a door open.
Dive into the water and swim back and enter the
branch tunnel that you passed earlier. Swim up and pull up into a tunnel.
Follow the tunnel to a T-junction and go to the right. Enter the open door and
drop into a room with a motorcycle. The window on the block in the south-east
corner is a spike trap. Get on the motorcycle and drive west. Drive down the
ramp and the level ends.
