The Tomb of Nephilim

Level by Kapitaen (August, 2008)

Walkthrough by Harry Laudie

You start in a cave. There is no compass, binoculars, or flares. Shoot the boxes in the corner for blue shotgun shells. Run forward and down the slope to a water pool. Grab the crevice in the wall to the left over the pool. Shimmy to the right and pull up into a crawl space. Crawl through until you can stand up. Pick up red shotgun shells. The hole in front of you leads to the water pool. Jump up into the hole above your head and pull down a jump switch. Drop into the hole on the floor. Crawl backwards and land of a slope. Jump forward to land in the open gate. If you fall into the water, pull up onto the slope and back flip to the open gate. Continue forward and get a flyby of the room.

Ahead are blocks in a lava floor and a circular door at the end of the room. A skeleton will emerge from the first block. Evade the skeleton and jump the blocks. Go the left block near a wall and pull down a jump switch. The circular door has opened to reveal another circular door. You may see the skeleton jump the blocks near a crawl space in the opposite wall. Evade the skeleton and get into that crawl space. Crawl to the end. Stand in a high corner and pull up into the small room. Run to the end platform for a small medipack and a shotgun. Return to the entrance hole and pull a block from the wall.

Enter onto the second floor ledges. Go left and pick Werner's PDA and Werner's glasses. Examine the PDA and see:

I have to find here five Obscura's paintings.

The first is in the ground floor.

The second is with a lady and a skeleton.

The third is damaged.

The fourth is with red monks.

The fifth is damaged.

Go to the right and use the two floor levers. Shoot a bat and go return to the entrance. Continue left up the ramp and pick up a large medipack in the corner. Opposite the entrance is a platform over the lava floor. Run and jump from that platform onto the second floor ledge on the other side. Use the three floor levers. Shoot a bat and enter a gate that has opened. Follow the steps up to a large room with a lava floor.

Before you use the floor lever, hop onto the columns in the room and enter into a crawl space in the left wall. Follow the crawl space to the end and stand up. Run forward to get secret #1 and pick up red shotgun shells and crossbow explosive ammo. Return through the crawl space and hop back to the floor lever. Use the floor lever and the gate opens on the opposite ledge. Fires start on the columns. Hop onto the first column. The fire is harmless. Hop onto the left wall column. The fire is harmless. Run and jump to the ledge and enter the open gate. Pick up the Blue Crystal from the floor. Hop back over the columns and go down the steps to return to the second floor ledge.

Run and jump back to the platform on the opposite side. Go right and up onto the ramp again. Stand jump up to grab the third floor. Pull up and shoot three skeleton harpies. Go down the ledge and use the two floor levers. Return and run and jump onto the ledge with the gate and the receptacle. Ignore the receptacle for now and run and jump to the other third floor ledge. Use the two floor levers and shoot a skeleton harpy. Return to the ledge with the closed gate and the receptacle.

Place the gem in the receptacle and the gates open. You enter a room with many gates and four floor pads at the entrance wall. Step on the two left floor pads to raise two gates. Shoot a skeleton harpy. Step on the two right floor pads to raise the last gate. Shoot two skeletons off the ledge. Go to the back wall and pull down a wall switch that is to the left of the painting. Shoot another skeleton harpy and exit the room. Run and jump to the right onto the third floor. Jump down to the second floor. Enter the room to the right and follow the crawl space back to the first floor block in the lava.

Shoot the skeleton into the lava if it is still there. Jump over the blocks and return to the open circular doors. There were five of them.  Continue forward down a slope and the doors close behind you. Go to the right side and drop into a lower cave and stop. You get a cut scene of a rolling spike ball. It should be on the left side and miss you. Follow the tunnel down to a bend and shoot a bat. Go over a bridge and a spike ball falls behind you. If the spike ball fell earlier and is on the bridge, grab the edge and shimmy around it. Enter a tunnel. There are some side branch tunnels near the tunnel entrance. You are in a maze. Go forward to shoot a dog. Enter the tunnel where the dog came from. Take the first left branch tunnel and follow it to the end for a large medipack. Return back to the main entrance tunnel

Go straight and into a crawl space. Crawl through and stand up. Go right, left, left and straight to shoot a dog. Notice the tunnel where the dog appeared. That is the exit tunnel. Follow the other branch tunnel for crossbow explosive ammo and shoot a dog. Return to the exit tunnel and follow it to an upward ramp. Go up the ramp and emerge in an opening overlooking the bridge. Grab the edge and shimmy to the left. Pull up onto a ledge and save the game. Go forward and a spike ball drops in front of you. Turn to the left and hop back to grab the edge as the spike ball rolls in front of you. Pull up and go up a ramp to pick up a small medipack. Then enter the open gate.

Enter an area with a water pool. Shoot three scorpions and dive into the water pool. Follow and underwater tunnel and pull up into a room. Shoot two skeleton harpies. You can find a small medipack in one of the corners. There is a puzzle board on the back wall. The answer should be the number of squares in the figure on the wall. The answer is 9. Place the moveable block on the IX tile and the gates opens to the left of the puzzle board. Enter the gate and go left to pick up Painting Piece 1 from the floor. Exit the room and swim back.

Pull up onto the corner of the structure ahead of you. Pull down a jump switch and return to the pool. Look towards the opposite corner and see a fire on a ledge. Go there and get into a crawl space behind the fire. Crawl through and enter a room to shoot two dogs and a bat. There is a puzzle board on the back wall. What is the next number after 1, 4, 9, and 16? That is (1x1), (2x2), (3x3), (4x4). It is 25 (5x5). Place the moveable block on the XXV tile and the gate opens to the left of the puzzle board. Enter the gate and go left to pick up Painting Piece 2 from the floor. Exit the room though the crawl space.

Go to the left and see a column. Go behind the column and make the painting to place the painting in the receptacle. The gate opens in the wall behind you. Go up the steps and follow the tunnel to a lava trench. Grab the ceiling and monkey swing over the lava. Drop in front of a circular door and a gate closes behind you. Turn to the right and get into a crawl space. Go to the end and pick up revolver ammo and a laser sight. Crawl back until you can stand up. Hop into a tunnel and follow it to the end. Use the floor lever and return to jump into an open gate. Follow the tunnel and jump over the gaps in the floor. Shoot two bats and emerge on a ledge over the room with the lava floor. Pick up the revolver and return to the crawl space. Crawl back to the circular door.

Use the revolver and laser sight to shoot the ball in the mouth of the lion head to the upper left of the entrance gate. The circular door will open. Enter the room and get a cut scene of a demigod on the floor below. Safety drop to the floor and evade the demigod. Pull down the four jump switches on the walls to open four gates above them. Climb a corner block to pull back onto the upper ledge. There is a large medipack in the corner behind the block. Jump into the four alcoves and pick up crossbow, two crossbow explosive ammo, and blue shotgun shells. Use all the explosive ammo to shoot the demigod until he explodes. Pick up the Blue Crystal and place the gem in the receptacle top open the gates. Run up the steps and the level ends.

I never picked up any of the five Obscura's paintings.
