Walkthrough by Harry Laudie
[Note] Use the Eidos tomb4.exe to play. When I used the included next
generation tomb4.exe, the game would freeze when I tried to save. However, the savegame was done and you could load the savegame after you started the game again. [End note]
You
start in a very dark room and have to find a way out. Use binoculars for light.
Save the flares for when you realy need them. Shoot
the vase in the north-east corner for Desert Ranger
ammo. Shoot the vase in the south-east corner for a large medipack. Enter the
south corridor. Go to the end and pull up onto a ledge. Pull up two more ledges
and face a dark corridor. There are deep pits in the darkness. Walk south to the
edge and Lara stops. Run and jump south to grab a ledge. Pull up and walk south
to the edge. Stand jump the next three ledges to reach the south wall. You get secret #1. Pick up Desert
Ranger ammo under the torch at the west corner. Go to the dark east corner
and pick up the Desert Ranger. Jump over the
pits and climb down the ledges to the starting room. Shoot two scorpions that have appeared.
Go
west to the slope between the lion statues and save the game. Light a flare and
slide down. Jump over three spike traps. On the last trap, jump with no grab
and you land on a ledge with wall darts. Walk onto the slope to the west. Then
hop back onto the ledge to avoid rolling spike balls. Go north to the bottom of
the slope. You can side jump to get over the spike balls. Pull up onto a ledge.
Turn to the west and look in the corners after the entrance for a small medipack and flares. Continue west and shoot a demigod. Enter the long west corridor.
Continue
west and see a gray block ahead of you. Go south and follow the wall to the
left and into an alcove for red shotgun shells.
Return to the corridor and look for a crawl space in the north wall. Crawl in
and onto a block. Get off the block from the east side only. If you get off on
the north or west sides, a spike ball drops on your head. You see a floor with
many deadly fire tiles. Jump over the tiles and enter an opening in the middle
of the east wall. Pick up a large medipack
and grenade flash ammo. Exit back to the room.
Jump over the tiles and enter an opening in the middle of the north wall. You
get secret #2. Pick up a red shotgun shells and a USAS
shotgun. Exit back to the room. Go back to the entrance and crawl
through back into the corridor.
Go
west and pull back the gray block. Get behind it and enter another wide
corridor. Follow the corridor to a large room. There are four mummies wandering around the room. Run to the
north-west corner. Jump over a fire pit and pull up onto a ledge. Pick up Walther ammo and grenade
super ammo and jump down to the floor. Go to the doors in the north wall
and the doors open. Enter the door and stop in front of a large pit. Go west
and pull up onto a ledge. There is Walther ammo
on the north-west corner floor. Return to the pit. You need full health to run
and jump onto the slope in the pit. You may to side jump to avoid the rolling
spike balls depending where you land. Alternate tile sections have spike balls.
Look at the upper far wall to see the ramps for the spike balls.
Go
up the slope and go west onto a flat area. Pick up the laser
rifle from the middle of the area. Quickly jump forward to avoid a
rolling spike ball. Go west to another pit. Stand jump onto a column and jump
back to avoid beetles. When the beetles drop
into the pit, jump back. The next two columns are safe. The third column has
more beetles. The last column is safe. Run and
jump into the west room. Pick up laser rifle normal
ammo and laser rifle poison ammo from
the corners. Return to the column and run and jump to the north room.
There
is nothing on the floor. Climb the first column to the top and beetles appear. Hop back and grab the column and the
beetles will disappear. Pull up again and run and jump to the next column and
there are more beetles. Stand jump to the north
onto the next ledge. Go north and find a hole against the east wall. Safety drop into the hole and land on a large block. Run and
jump the blocks to the north. Then jump onto a slope to slide down to the floor
with no damage.
Go
south and stop before a large room with a lava floor. Climb down the wall onto
a safe floor section. You see a puzzle
piece in front of you. Do not pick it up yet. Use binoculars and look to the
south wall and see a ladder. Jump the deadly floor tiles and stand jump to grab
that ladder. Climb up onto the ledge. Do not go east or floor blades will kill
you. Go west and pick up the Left Half piece
from the ledge. Beetles pour from the ceiling.
Go to the west wall and jump down into the pit. Jump over the fire tiles and
pick up the Right Half piece. More beetles pour from the ceiling. Jump the fire tile and
climb the ladder into the large room. Shoot a demigod
that was waiting for you. Go east and sprint through the wall darts. You find a
hole. Safety drop onto a large block below.
Run
and jump the blocks to the south. Then jump onto a slope to slide to the floor
with no damage. Avoid the center of the room, as there are spike balls in the
ceiling. Go to the north-west corner and climb the two ledges. Save the game in
front of the floor lever. Use the floor lever and get a dark cut scene of a
door opening. Use LOOK to stop the cut scene. Run south and jump over a fire
pit. There is a demigod on the other side.
Ignore him as there is a fire wraith chasing
you. Run to the south-west corner and drop into a water pit to extinguish the
fire wraith. Pull up and shoot the demigod.
Dive into the water again
and swim to the east. Watch out for falling spike balls from the ceiling. As
you near the east wall, swim up and look for a hole in the middle of the
ceiling. Swim up and surface in a large room. Go east and watch out for floor blades
near the front of the ledge. There are spike balls on the sides. Pull up in
front of the scissor blades and pick up two Walther ammo. Get through the scissor blades
and pick up the Walther. Get down and swim back
to the room with the ledges. Pull up and shoot another demigod.
Notice the ledges nearby and a pit to the right of them. Dive in and watch out
for the holes in the ceiling, they will release rollingballs
if you swim below them. Only the furthest hole in the middle of the room is
safe, resurface in there and pull up. Get some uzi ammo from
the far pedestal, mind the bird blade and the spikeballs
beside it, pick up the weapon and return
through the water, watching our for the rollingballs again, to
the hole in the corner. Pull out.
Go up the ledges and combine the two pieces to make Courel's
Pendant. Place it in the receptacle and the doors open. There are two bulls in the doorway. Now you need to use those
flares. Jump behind the bulls and follow the very dark tunnel. Beetles will also start to drop on you at many places.
There are also many spikes pits to jump.
You
enter an open door and climb up the blocks into a large room. There is a bull and harpies. The
beetles have stopped so get back into the entrance blocks and shoot the three harpies. Be careful as the harpies can poison
you. Pull up into the room with the bull again. Go to the south-west corner and
climb the wall ladder. Pull up into a crawl space and crawl to the end. Stand
up and press the big face button. Crawl back to the big room and climb down the
ladder. Go to the middle of the east wall and safety drop into a hole. You are
at the top of a slope. Go north and shoot a vase for a large
medipack. Go south and shoot a vase for red shotgun shells. Step back about three tiles from the south wall and slide down the slope.
You
land on another slope and start to slide. You can hear rolling spike balls
behind you. The spikes are on the first and third tile sections. Slide down the
second tile section and you should be safe. Go to the end of the room and turn
to the to the east. You should see a wall ladder.
Climb the ladder to the top and go south. Jump up and grab the climbable wall
in the hole above your head. Pull up into a corridor. Follow the corridor very
carefully as there are six sets of teeth doors in the corridor. You enter a
large room and get a flyby showing you a wall switch. You can go behind the wall
into the south-west corner and pick up a small medipack off the floor.
Go
south and go behind the single column. Climb the wall and pull up to the top.
Pull up to a floating platform. The wall switch from the cut scene is on the
high south wall behind you. There is another wall switch on a lower west wall
ledge. Stand jump to grab the breakable ledge. Pull up and run and jump to the
next breakable ledge. Pull up and run and jump down to the ledge with the wall
switch. Pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene showing a gate opening
somewhere. Turn to the north and run and jump to grab a breakable ledge. Pull
up and run and jump north onto the ledge in front of a doorway. Ignore the
doorway for now.
There
are two groups of breakable tiles. Use one group to get to the ledge with the
wall switch. Use the other group to get back to the ledge with the doorway
again. You can also save the game while pulling up onto a breakable tile. Go
west and run and jump to the south to grab a breakable tile. Stand jump to the
next tile. Stand jump to grab the next tile. Pull up and turn to the left.
Stand jump to the next tile and then side jump to the right for the next tile.
Stand jump forward onto the next two tiles. Turn to the right and stand jump
onto a tile. Stand jump to the next tile and run and jump to grab the next
tile. Pull up and run and jump south to the next tile. Stand jump to the tile
at the south wall and side jump to the left to land on the ledge with the wall
switch. Save the game a few times, as you do not want to do that again.
Pull
down the wall switch and get a cut scene of a gate opening somewhere. You may
need full health for the next run. The drop at the end is very damaging. Face
north and stand jump to grab the breakable tile. Pull up and stand jump to the
next tile Run and jump to grab the next tile. Pull up and run and jump to the
next tile. Stand jump to the next tile. Just run off the end to the next lower
tile. Run off the end and land on the ledge.
Go
west to the doorway and shoot a scorpion. Enter
the doorway into a desert-like area. Follow between the cliffs and shoot a giant scorpion. Enter an alcove in the west wall and
pick up the M79GLGP2 grenade gun from the
pedestal. Continue north and shoot a giant insect.
Go west and see a water hole. Dive into the water hole and enter an underwater
tunnel. Just follow the tunnel and see a left side branch tunnel. Ignore that
tunnel, as it is a dead end. Continue forward and swim into the right side
branch tunnel. Continue following the tunnel into a large flooded room. Swim
east and up to the surface for air.
Save
the game before you pull up out of the water. Pull up and go to the south-east
corner. There is the open gate from the cut scene. Enter the room and pull down
the wall switch. You get a short cut scene of Horus
shooting green fireballs at you. Turn around and shoot a dog. Exit this room and run to the north-east corner
and enter the open gate. Enter the room and pull down the wall switch. Turn
around and shoot a dog. Exit this room and run
to the south-west corner and enter the open gate. Enter the room and pull down
the wall switch. Exit this room and run to the north-west corner and enter the
open gate. Enter the room and pull down the wall switch. Exit this room and run
to the middle of the east wall. Climb the blocks and see the open door.
Go
east and slide down the slope. Jump onto a block in a lava lake. Run and jump
to grab the next column. Pull up and run and jump to the next column. Pull up
onto a triangular top. Run and jump to the next column with a complete flat
top. Stand in the middle of the column. Stand jump to the south-east to land on
the corner edge of the column. When you in the corner you are safe from the
fire. Grab the edge and shimmy to the left. Stand jump to grab the edge of the
next column south. Shimmy to the left to the south-east corner and pull up. You
have to do a standing banana-type jump. Face south-east, stand jump, and use a
right curve. You should land on the far side of the next column to the south.
Stand jump south to grab the ledge. Pull up into the tunnel. Run to the end for
secret #3 and a small
medipack. Go back to the lava lake.
Run
and jump to the first column. The fire has thankfully stopped. Face south and
run and jump to grab the edge of the third column. Ignore the second and
closest column. Shimmy to the right and pull up in the north-east corner. Stand
jump to the slope column. Slide down and jump with grab to glide into the
tunnel in the east wall. Follow the tunnel to another large room with a lava
pool.
Run
and jump south onto the first column. Stand jump south to grab the next slope.
Pull up, slide down, and jump onto the south ledge. Go to the end and climb the
blocks. Go to the south wall and pull down the wall switch. The room is
instantly flooded. Swim up and swim through the hole in the middle of the
ceiling. Surface for air and pull up into a small room. Go east to exit the
room and enter the desert. Run towards the jeep and the level ends by crashing
to the desktop.
