[Note:] I've found a serious bug in this game. If you exit the game to continue playing later, when you launch the game again the large medipacks disappear from your inventory in the last savegame. So if you want to retold the game with all the medipacks in your inventory you must reload the penultimate savegame. [End of the note]

 

 

LEVEL ONE: CAIRO, EGYPT

 

Go W and pull the switch behind the slope (notice the closed trapdoor) but it seems that nothing happens. Now go E, pass the swinging chain and left at the junction. In this small room step on the golden tile to open a trapdoor near the start and release a wraith too. You must step over all tiles in this small room if you want the first secret (I think it's triggered when you step on the tiles with the white vases). Quickly return there, drop and at the end of the corridor jump into the water and pick up the small medipack in NW corner. There's an opening in the W side; time the fire and use the reach-in switch to open the double doors at the start of the level. Go there and through the S open doors to get SECRET #1: flares and a small medipack. Now go through the N doors, jump to the E ledge with the vases; from here a running jump to the S ledge and turn around to see a jumpswitch to your right; pull it to open the double doors below, pick up the shotgun shells between the white vases and enter. Pull the block in the NW corner to the S (there's a small medipack under it) so you can jump to the S ledge and step on a golden tile to open the high trapdoor in E wall. Go there to get the Golden Key and return to the room with the white vases to use it. Finally pick up the pistols and the door opens.

 

Pull the jumpswitch in S wall and continue W avoiding a rolling rock. Shoot the N vase to get shotgun shells and climb the E ledge (difficult to grab this edge, I got it in the very N side). Running jump to the E ledge and put the blocks over the scarab tiles to open the W door. Go there and in the big underwater room pull the switch in the high SE corner to open the left door in S wall. In the next room shoot the snake and use the W sloped block to climb the high S ledge; turn right and pull the switch to open a door in N wall and get SECRET #2: a large medipack and shotgun shells (be careful to not break the breakable tile). Drop to ground floor; in the NE corner there is a timed switch which opens a door high in the S ledge. I did it so: pull the switch, run S to the first corner and situate Lara facing E; jump back to land on the N side of the slope behind and jump again to land onto the N side of the breakable tile; turn left and jump before it collapses to the S ledge and through the (still) open door. In this new room explore the dark W side to shoot a scorpion and pick up shotgun shells. Go E and pull the switch behind the golden block to open a door in the previous corridor.

 

In the room with the pit, jump to the central platform and pull the switch behind the block to light the room. Jump to the NE ledge to pick up a large medipack and return to the central platform. Safety drop from the SE side to land on a ledge with a switch. This switch opens a door in W wall with a moveable block behind (with flares under it) so you can reach the jumpswitch in E wall, but it also releases a panther and it's not necessary to continue playing. From here you can do a running jump NE with a left curve to pull the jumpswitch to open the nearby door. It's your choice. There are shotgun shells under the white vases in NE corner. Anyway, shoot the panther inside and approaching to the hole you'll see a screenshot of an open door above. Climb the ledges to the top of the central platform and go through the open S door. Shoot the vases and pull and push the block in the NE corner; shoot the next vases to get shotgun shells. The next corridor triggers two ninjas; dispose of them safety returning to the central platform of the previous room if you want. Return there and pull the switch in the alcove to open the door.

 

In the next room with a pool and an obelisk in its centre shoot the vases to get shotgun shells. Jump into the water and dive through the S triangular opening. Pull the underwater switch high in E wall to open the trapdoor and continue diving to the end of the next room to emerge in a place where you'll be attacked by an horde of small scarabs. Jump into the water to get rid of them (beware of the serpent) and return. Shoot the E vases to get uzi clips, turn around and go up the stairs. Climb the N ledge and go E to pick up the shotgun from one of the pedestals and a Gold Key from the other. The door opens, and now you must climb the ladder being shot at by two ninjas. Once at the top, kill them and pick up the Egypt Key one of them drops. Now return to the pool with the obelisk, shoot another ninja and open the door with your keys. Pull the block and jump to the other side. Time the fires to jump to the W ledge. In the next corridor you must jump to the central tile with the switch and save your game. This switch is timed, so you must pull the switch two or three seconds before the fire disappears, turn left, walk a step W and a single jump to the open door (it can take several tries). Slide down the ramp to finish this first level.

 

 

LEVEL 2: TOMB OF CAIRO

 

Take running jumps to the most N ledge and shoot the NW vase for a small medipack. Jump back to the central ledge, drop and grab the crack below, shimmy right around the corner and drop onto the safe tile in the lava. Turn N and take a running jump to the tile behind the slope with a left curve to get SECRET #3: a large medipack. To return to the previous tile you can grab the edge of the slope, shimmy to the very left, hoist up, slide and jump with a left curve. Now shoot the ninja who appears in the SE opening and go there taking a running jump to grab the crack in E wall and shimmying right. Pull the lever inside to open a door in the SW corner of the lava room; go there by running jump to the tile in the lava where you came from and another running jump with a right curve to the open door. In the next room there is a scorpion to kill and four switches to pull in the N and S sides of the pillars, one of them hidden by a moveable block. There is a large medipack in a vase too. When all four switches are pulled, a block raises in the center of the room; use the moveable block to climb it. Continue and the next door opens for you.

 

In this new room shoot the E vase to get some flares, and pick up uzi clips in the N bridge. There's a closed door in the N wall but I couldn't discover the hint to open it (assuming it's possible to open it at all). In the floor below there are two cat statues over golden tiles; walk over those tiles to open the underwater door in E wall and swim there. In the next room shoot the bat and the scorpion; open the central sarcophagus to get the uzis and raise a block behind you, also releasing a ninja and two more scorpions. Use the raised block and the monkeyswing to exit this room. In the lava room use the floating ledges to reach the N opening and in the next room use the rope and the breakable tile to continue (don't forget the small medipack in the central ledge). Go up the ramp avoiding the falling rocks and jump into the water. Dive left to pull an underwater switch which opens a trapdoor in the other side of the room. In the next room go out of the water through the W hole in the ceiling, pass the chain and pull the lever to dry the previous room. Go back there and pull the N switch to open the door at your back.

 

In the next room walk over the SW golden tiles to open the nearby trapdoor (notice the keyhole near the corner). Continue and shoot a couple of panthers. Further on there is a corridor with spiked moving columns.  After getting past the first column, take a hard right while avoiding the second column.  You come to an intersecting passage. Light a flare, turn left and follow around to a wall switch.  Pull it down to open it the door next to you, and enter for SECRET #4 while avoiding the spiked column to your right.   Pick up two stashes of uzi ammo and go back the way you came.   Get by the spiked column again to your right and in the next dark room shoot a ninja.

 

To open the door up behind the W wall, you must step over three tiles: the red tiles on both sides of the mummy below and a golden tile up in the N side of the W ledge. Pick up the Mp5 ammo in the crawlspace and push/pull the block out of the way to reveal the middle opening, pass the teeth door, shoot the scorpion and climb the ledge behind the open doors. Jump the spike pit, back flip to avoid a set of falling rocks (there's another set right behind it) and in the next room open the floor hatch; hop down, kill the scorpion, crawl through and notice the trapdoor in the corridor, shoot the big vases to get uzi clips and Mp5 ammo (one of the vases has a giant bug). Press the big button to open a door somewhere and return to the corridor to open the ceiling trapdoor. Climb, shoot the scorpion and climb again the next ledge (SE corner). In the burning pedestal is the key you need so go N through the door you've opened. At the end of the passage shoot the scorpion and pull the black moveable block twice (watch out for the blade trap); use the reach-in switch behind to take off the fire in the pedestal and move the block to the entrance so you can exit this room (watch out for the falling blade ball). Finally pick up the Golden Key at the pedestal.

 

Do you remember where the keyhole was? Return all the way back to the room with the mound of sand in its centre, killing a ninja and a panther on your way, and use your key to open the door above. Jumping to the top of the mound can be difficult, but do it with a single jump from the right (NW) corner of the ledge behind you and continue through the open door W. In this new sandy room shoot the panther and the scorpion; walk over the golden tile under the cat statue to open a trapdoor near the W wall. Go there, pick up the small medipack and pull the switch. Return to the previous room and there's an open door where the panther was. Continue climbing the ledges and the ladder in W side. Shoot the vases to get shotgun shells and Mp5 ammo and pull the switch. Return to the E room and shoot two ninjas; go through the SW hole and shoot another one. Jump over the deadly hole and continue to a room with golden ledges where you'll have to fight with three panthers. Pull the switch in front of the W door and another one in the N side of the highest ledge to open it. Take a running jump timing the spiked moveable column to grab the next ledge behind it, shoot the left vases for a small medipack and pull the lever to open a door where you shot the ninjas before. Go back there shooting a bug on your way and jump onto the slope to exit this second level.

 

 

LEVEL 3: TEMPLE OF CAIRO

 

Push the block in SW corner to reveal a switch and pull it to open the N door. Pull the block back, go to the door and pull the same block N to clear the way. Go around where the block was and enter in a room with two obelisks. The vase in the SE corner contains uzi clips. Climb the W ledge and drop from the other side to find Mp5 ammo and a timed switch. Pull it and quickly climb the ledge, run to the entrance of this room and jump there to the very right side, turn left and jump onto the raised block and again to the S ledge. Once got it, look for a small medipack in a N ledge and go through the S passage to a room with two receptacles. Shoot the vases to pick up flares and from here jump to the central ledge to pick up the MP5 gun. This raises a block in the SE corner. Jump there and from here jump to the S opening. Climb the ladder from its very right side (falling debris at the top) and take a ride around the room to trigger a snake, a big scorpion and a panther. Run to climb a safe ledge into the room while the animals take a battle. Shoot the winner scorpion and jump onto the NW ledge near the palm tree; take a running jump to the N ledge with the column on its top to get SECRET #5: desert eagle ammo.

 

There are three cat statues over golden tiles in this room: one of them in ground floor and another two in a high ledge S. Step over all three tiles (use the first half-flat ledge in the S sands to take a running jump to the high ledge with the two cats) to open the door in W wall. Enter, shoot a panther and continue to a room where a huge scorpion and a panther are fighting. Jump onto the NW ledge and pick up the crowbar. Complete the killing of the scorpion and pick up a torch at the bottom of this sloped ledge; go to the other side of the room and light it in the burning pedestal. Jump the ledge in SE corner and light the grey W pedestal to raise a block to your left. Move the block in the NE corner all around the room so you can reach the top of this raised block and climb to the room above. Look for a safe ledge to shoot the giant scorpion. Pick up the uzi clips behind the S gold fence and look for a moveable block in N wall; push it once and surprisingly the block to your left can be moved E; do it so and pull the first block twice to reveal a passage behind. Pick up the shotgun shells on your way, pass the moving spiked columns, the chain and the next door opens for you. In this room shoot the vases to get a small medipack and desert eagle ammo. Push/pull the blocks in E and W walls to discover two new passages. In the E passage pick up a large medipack, shoot a panther and press a button.  Then hop down into the W passage, shoot a scorpion, crawl under a blade ball trap and push another button; this opens a door in the N wall of the previous room. Return there and use one of the blocks to reach the opening. In this final room shoot the vases to get 2 x grenades and Mp5 ammo. Approach N to wake up a mummy, dispose of him and use your crowbar to pull out the King Golden Puzzle from the wall. Now step on the central tile to raise a block so you can exit this room and return all the way back to the sandy room where the three cat statues were, killing a flying mummy on your way.  You'll need to move a block for assistance near the end of your return journey.

 

Kill a scorpion and use the half-flat ledges in the sandy S ramp to reach the SE opening. Climb the ladder, time the fire at the bottom of the small ramp and jump into the water. Look for an underwater lever in the S side of the grey pillar to open the door above; hoist up to the ledge, shoot the panther and time the spikes to enter in a new room where you'll shoot another panther and trigger two rolling rocks. Go up the ramp and through the SW opening.  Climb down the W ladder and drop to the bottom of the room with the small scarabs. Pull all four levers in the other side using medipacks to open the trapdoor and get rid of the nasty beetles. Below there is another crowbar and uzi clips, but you already have a crowbar so you don't need to go there (you'll lose some health). It's your choice. Now you can shoot the white vases in N and S sides of this room to pick up two small medipacks, move the SE black block to the other side of the room in front of the trapdoor to climb the E ledge and get the second King Golden Puzzle. It's possible that more beetles appear so use the hole to get rid of them. Now you must return all the way back to the room with the receptacles, do you remember? Move the block to the other side of the room so you can climb the E fenced ledge, climb the ladder, shoot the ninja above and pick up the uzi clips he drops; return to the room with three cat statues and shoot a giant bug; go N where the debris is and follow the path to the room where you picked up the MP5.

 

Open the door with the items and in the next room jump/grab the ladders and shimmy right till you can go no more. Behind you is a sloped ledge; climb down till you can't see Lara and jump back to land on the slope, slide, grab the edge and shimmy right. Pull the E and W switches to open the N door and use the crack to go there. Pull another switch to open the next doors and kill two red ninjas; one of them leaves uzi clips and there is the grenade gun in NW corner. Press the big button to see an open door in the lava room and return there via the crack and a running jump. Continue to a new sandy room; climb the central ledge (a running jump from the sand slope), shoot the vases to get Mp5 ammo and pull the lever (I don't know what this lever triggers). Take a running jump to grab the edge of the sandy ledge SE, climb and pull the jumpswitch to open the big double doors in the previous room. Go there and shoot a panther. Drop into the hole and shoot another one. Step on the tiles with the cat texture to open the next door and go left to pick up the desert eagle (too late! the adventure is about to finish!). Go S and in the next room shoot two flying mummies, jump onto the ledge to your left and from here a running jump to grab the sloped ledge E, shimmy left, hoist up and pull the switch. Return to the room where you killed the first panther, shoot the centaur and go to the open door.

 

Advance and run around to avoid the damage of locusts, pick up the Golden Amulet from the pedestal to open the next doors. There's a panther in one of the vases in this room in case you feel yourself thirsty of blood. In the next room shoot a bunch of panthers and pull three switches in the N side of the room to open the W door: two in the middle ledge and one in the highest ledge. Go to the open door and in the next room shoot another panther and carefully pick up the second Golden Amulet from the pedestal. Return to the previous room shooting a scorpion in the corridor and place the amulets in their receptacles in the S side of the room to open the final door. Shoot the last enemy and go to the open door E. Once out of the crawlspace push the block twice to the S end of the room. The tile with the chair near the window opens a door in the high SW corner of this room, but it's timed. Step on the tile and run to the wall in front of the block (collisioning with the wall), jump back onto the block, jump ahead and slide down the ramp to finish the adventure.
