TR3 - ZELLIGAR'S LAIR by THEQUAD

You start by sliding down a ramp. Jump and roll to slide and grab at the end. Pull up, back flip and roll to grab the ledge of the opposite pillar. Pull up and go right into a snow trench. It is a dead end, however, to the right you can pull up to a pillar, back flip and roll to grab another pillar. Pull up and go left into a cave to pick up the Ornated Key (1). You get a cut scene of a door patrolled by a wolf. When you exit the cave, kill a waiting wolf (1). Go back to the starting pillar and go to the left to stand on a pointed ledge. From here you can see items as well as wolves. Kill the four wolves (2,3,4,5) from here if possible. The door is around the corner to the right.

 

Look immediately left and behind to a tall snow pillar. From there you can jump across the valley to get the flares (2) you see in the snow on the left. Jump back to the pointed ledge. Stand with your back to the right side of the valley. Angle a bit and side jump to an incline. Slide down and grab. Pull up, back flip, roll and grab another ledge. Pull up to get a small Medi pack (3) that looks red in the snow. From here you can safety drop to the ground. Go left to climb a block in the corner. Run/jump/grab to the opposite ledge and pick up shotgun shells (4). Your greed has aroused two wolves (6,7) that need to be killed. Go to the door and climb the block on the left side. Turn right and climb the ledge and then jump to another ledge on the right. Turn right to jump to another ledge. Turn right and jump across the trench to a ledge. Go to the right and pick up some flares (5) and secret #1. If you play with the full TR3 game as suggested, you also get the secret sound. Get back down to the door the same way you came to reduce damage.

 

Go to the door and use the Ornated Key to open it. Go inside and follow the corridor and kill six cat-sized rats (8,9,10,11,12,13). At the end is a room with two closed doors and two switches. Use the right switch to open the right door. Light a flare and go down the dark corridor. Jump over the hole in the floor. It is a pit with no exit. Pick up the small Medi pack (6) and enter the room with movable blocks. There are flares (7) in the far corner. Pull back a block and pick up shotgun shells (8). Move the blocks about until you see a crawlspace behind them. Crawl in for the shotgun (9) and secret #2.Get back to the room with the switches. Use the left switch for the left door. Enter a room with stairs in the left corner and a green creature in the right corner. Kill the poisonous creature (14) and pick up the Ornated Key (10) that it drops. As you approach the stairs, another green poisonous creature (15) will attack. At the top of the stairs are a grate and a switch. Open the grate. As you go up the stairs you are attacked by two poisonous creatures (16,17) and six rats (18,19,20,21,22,23). Kill them all and pick up a small Medi pack (11) that a creature drops. Continue and at the top of the stairs use the Ornated key to open a grate.

 

Enter a corridor with a closed gate and a switch on the right. At the left end of the corridor is a closed door. Use the switch to open the right door and go in. Down the corridor is a closed door in a left alcove. Go to the end and turn left to see a red block on the left, a tall door with a switch to the right and a regular door with a switch at the far end. Use the right switch and go inside the tall door. You enter a large room with pillars and steps at the end. Run to the end and be attacked by a very big creature (24) that takes a lot to kill. The creature kept blinking out so Lara kept losing her aim. Great idea for an enemy behaviour. After it is dead it explodes in a green light. Pick up flares (12) from the right side of the steps. Go to the left back corner and climb up a climbable wall. At the top, back flip to land on a red ledge with a switch. This is secret #3. Run/jump grab to the far ledge to get flares (13) and go back to the switch. Pull it and the timed door on the far ledge opens. Also some timed run music plays as well with the full TR3. Go there and see a crawlspace in the left corner. Go there and carefully kill four rats (25,26,27,28) before they trap you. When done continue to crawl and eventually slide into a room. Pick up shotgun shells (14) and an Ornated Key (15). Picking up the key gives a cut scene of a room somewhere. Go out into the corridor again, turn left, go pass the red block and at the far door turn stop. Use the switch to open the door. Just before the door on the left is a switch in an alcove. Pull it to open a gate by a pool you have not reached yet. Enter and go right into a hallway. Go to the back left corridor of the hallway and open the door with the Ornated Key.

 

Enter armed to kill a green poisonous creature (29). As you enter there are five holes in the floor containing water. The nearest is a deadly green pool with a key at the bottom. To the right is a safe green pool with a small Medi pack (16) in it. On its left is a safe blue pool with shotgun shells (17) in it. In the corner is a deadly purple pool with a Desert Eagle. The final pool is a safe red pool. Swim down into a large room and pick up the Maze Key (18) from the floor and go back up. Exit this room and go down the corridor towards a closed door with a switch. There is a corridor to the right that ends in a locked door. Go there and use the Maze Key to open the door. From the door you can kill ten rats (30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39). Enter and walk around to pick up a small Medi pack (19) and some flares (20) and the camera angle changes to confuse you. Look around for a skeleton the floor. Beside it is a ledge you can pull up. Jump to the opposite ledge with a skeleton and again the camera angle changes. There is nothing here so get down and look for a spider web nearby. Save at this point since if you use the LOOK key, everything is messed so bad you have to reload. The camera angle messes stuff up so try a pull up on every wall until it works. When it does, go left to a wall and pull up twice. You are on a ledge being attacked by four poisonous creatures (40,41,42,43) one of which drops a small Medi pack (21). Turn left and look left to jump over the drop to an alcove with a large Medi pack (22). Look around for a skeleton and Lara looks down a pit at a Desert Eagle. I never found a way to get it and get back up so forget it. Nearby is a red colour corridor.

 

Enter carefully and at the end drop on a block with a switch over a deadly floor. Pull the timed switch, turn, and run/jump/grab to the two pillars. Jump into the timed door and you attacked by another big creature (44). When it dies in a green flash, it leaves a large Medi pack (23) and a Desert Eagle (24). On the walls are symbols and in the middle are four movable blocks. The following sketch using letters for the symbols shows what is what.

Move the blocks underneath the appropriate symbol and the large double doors open. Now go inside the double doors and you are attacked by a huge golden dragon. Run to the end of the room and pick up Zelligar's Dagger (25) from the pedestal. As you pick it up there is a cut scene of an underwater door opening. Run off and sprint back to the other room with the dragon following. Activate the exit switch twice to open the exit door. Run up the stairs and run/jump/grab the first pillar. Now you are safe from the Dragon. Continue jumping to get to the exit of this area. Follow the trail of dead green creatures back to where you climbed up. Get down and exit the maze. Go back to the first corridor and turn right.

 

Go to the end and pull the switch to get into an outside area. Kill two rats (45)(46) from the door. Go outside and see a pool surrounded by wolf statutes. Go to the right and pick up a small Medi pack (26) and shotgun shells (27). Continue right and see a green poisonous creature (47) in a large alcove with a switch. Kill it and pick up a large Medi pack (28) it had. Pull the switch to open the door and another green poisonous creature (48) attacks that needs to be killed. This door just leads back to the previous door you opened. Go to the pool and at the bottom is the open underwater door.

 

Swim to the back passing the maze opening, another opening and swim up the last opening to pull up into a room with a closed gate and a small Medi pack (29). Dive in and swim back and go up the next hole into a room with a switch. Pull it to open the gate in the previous room. Go back there and you can see the motorcycle through another closed gate. Dive and swim back into the maze area. Take the first right turn and go the end to pick up some Desert Eagle clips (30). Continue around the corner to see the timed underwater lever that opens a door beside the motorcycle. Go back to the switch room for air. Go back to the maze and this time keep left until you reach an intersection. Turn right and follow to pull up in a room. Pull the switch on the wall to open the gate beside you. On the other side is the door the timed underwater lever opened. Dive in again and go to the opposite end to pick up shotgun shells (31) and return back here.

 

Dive in and go for the underwater lever. Pull and roll and swim back to this room and run through the door before it closes. Pull the switch on the wall to open the gate and drive the motorcycle into the next room. Use the END and arrow keys to get off the motorcycle. You are stuck behind a closed door. Swim back to the first pool with the wolf statues. Use one statue pedestal to jump and pull up on a nearby pillar. Jump at an angle and grab the wooden walkway above it. Go left and in the middle of the wall is a switch to pull. In the far corner is a small Medi pack (33). Now swim back to the room with the motorcycle and the door is open. First go in and shoot the green poisonous creature (49) although I suppose you could run it down. Ride into the room, ride to the back and jump the gap with the motorcycle. Get off the motorcycle and run towards a wooden gate on the left to end the level.
