TR3 - VIC'S VALLEY by VIC

The level file is Vvalley.tr2 and no
instructions. I renamed it shore.tr2 to play with the TR3 South Pacific demo. I
will not state to "light a flare" at every point as it will be
obvious that you have to light a flare everywhere.
Lara starts at the bottom of a dark
blue well. Swim to the top and climb up into complete darkness. Go forward a
little and pick up some flares (1). Light a flare and go forward and see a door on your right. Turn
left and you see a crawlspace for later and more flares (2) against the back
wall. Turn around and go through the door. Go to the back right corner for more
flares (3). Going left you find a key lock, in an alcove and more flares (4) in the corner.
Going left you see a door and a burning pole in the middle. Going more left you
find Smuggler's Keys (5) in an alcove. Pick the keys up and go to the key lock and use the
key to get a cut scene of a gate opening. Drop into the room with the burning
pole and you see a light coloured panel in one corner. I never found out if it
was something or not. Climb the block in the room and pull up to a floating
platform to pick up the Desert Eagle (6) and Uzi’s (7). Jump and grab the platform in the middle with the burning pole. Do
not run or you hit the pole and catch fire. Pull up and crawl under the pole to
get a large Medi pack (8) and Uzi clips (9). Turn left and run/jump/grab a platform. Go back to the crawlspace.
Crawl in and follow to the right. When
you can stand up go right to get flares (10) and a small Medi pack (11). Run back and turn right into a doorway. It is large room with the
door on the far right and what looks like an empty alcove in front of you. Go
to the empty alcove, turn right and pull up. Run down the corridor to a hole at
the end. Pick up the K2 key (12). Now back to the other door and enter a room. There is a climbable
section on the left wall. Climb it and when you stop, back flip to a platform.
Pick up flares (13) and there are some other flares floating there that I could not
get. Turn left and jump to an invisible platform. It is only invisible from the
top since if you miss you can look up and see it. Climb the wall there until
you stop. Release and grab to pull Lara up hand-over-hand to the top of some
stairs. I don't know if that was the planned way but it worked.
Jump to the bridge with the two flames.
Go to the right side alcove and use the K2 key to get a cut scene of a wall
with a flickering light. The left alcove has nothing so back to the stairs. Go
to the top and pull up. Go through two rooms with flaming poles and climb over
a wall into another room with flaming poles. These flaming poles will damage
Lara if you get too close to them. Go left to a room with flares (14) and a pool with flares (15) at the bottom.
There is a guard in the left corner near a doorway. The guard did not shoot at
Lara so I left him. Go to the next room, go up the stairs, through an open gate
and overlook a large room. There is a doorway on the left. Jump down to get flares (16) and see a small Medi pack (17) in the middle of an
obvious rolling ball trap. It is not so get the Medi pack and jump into the
water on the other side. Swim down for more flares (18) and through a
tunnel to get a small Medi pack (19) before surfacing into the same room. Now go through a doorway in
the corner to another area with flaming poles and fire pits as well as a raptor (1) to kill. To your
immediate left is a closed gate. In the far right corner of the room is a
pushbutton on the wall. Press it and the gate opens.
Inside the gate is a large pool of
deadly water and fire-red waterfalls. Along the right wall is another gate.
Pick up some flares (20) from the middle of the water’s edge. At the right wall is a
climbable wall but you can wall through the pillar so forget it. From the right
edge you can see a light blue hole in the far right bottom corner of the pool.
The water is safe here so dive in and swim along the wall and into the hole.
Pull up on the other side into another dark room with some ramps in it. Search the
room to find a small Medi pack (21) and Desert Eagle clips (22) in the corners and Uzi clips (23) in a hole. Opposite the hole at where the floor ramps up, jump
and pull into a crawlspace. Go down the other side into a hole to press a
pushbutton on the wall. Exit back to the room and kill four green dinosaurs (2,3,4,5). Get back to the
water and swim along the wall and get out. Go to the now open gate and fall
into a room of water. Swim to he opposite corner and pull up. The room is dark
and full of blocks. There are flares (24) in the middle of the room. As you pick them up a two raptors (6,7) attacks so jump
onto a block and safely kill them.
Go down the only exit corridor to a
three-way intersection. In front is a closed gate. Go left and at the end go
left and follow to pick up the K2 key (25). Go back and to the other side. At the end go left to get a small Medi pack (26). Back and go
right to find the key lock. Use the key and the gate opens. Go outside into the
daylight and as you run towards the door in the left corner, the level ends.
