Lara falls a harrowing distance onto a grate covering a water-filled trench. Run forward to attract a horde of rats. Run
away from them while pausing for a large medipack. You soon come to more water and a closed
door. Seems like the
end of the line, but there is a way out.
Go back, and around the corner to your right is an opening. Pull up into it, run forward and drop down
the other side, reverse roll and save your game in front of the timed wall
switch. Pull it down, hop back once,
jump forward into the opening, reverse roll and quickly lower Lara down through
the crawl space. Turn to your right and
sprint back through the water toward the open doorway. Angle to your right as you
enter so that you land on a ledge and avoid taking damage.
Exit S and side flip over the pipe. Turn the valve to flood the area and swim
back out. Locate the W opening high up
in the shaft and follow it past an intersection with a closed ceiling trap
door. Grab some air in the covered
trench and satisfy yourself that there's no way to get out here. Go back, turn left
just before the intersection and pull out into a dark room. Pull down the S wall switch to open the
ceiling trap door you saw earlier.
You're not ready to go there yet, however. Pull up into the alcove to your right for
some flares, then pull up into the dark NE opening
and light a flare.
Follow the corridor and take the first left. Pick up the flares
and shoot a mafiso
who comes around the corner. Go where he
came from and follow to a dead end where you'll find a bottle of RED WINE.
Go back the other way and take a left at the intersection. Shoot the white-suited
dude and pick up the GLOCK 17
he drops. Continue forward to an opening
overlooking a green pool of water. It's
as deadly as it looks, so don't jump into it.
Instead, angle Lara to the far right and take a running banana jump to the
W breaktile.
As soon as you land safely, turn slightly to your right and stand jump
through the W opening so that you land on a flat surface and not on the sliding
slope that would take you down to your doom.
Stand at the SW corner and take a running jump SW to the breaktile. When you
land, turn to your right and jump to grab the hanging ladder.
Shift left and around two corners. Climb up and shift left around the
corner. Continue to a corridor and drop
down. Go down into the hole behind the
fan for SECRET #1 and pick up the ROSE JEWEL.
Return to the ladder and take a running jump E to grab it. Back flip from the right side of the ladder
with Lara one rung up from the bottom.
Land on another slope and jump off with an adjusting curve to hit the
right side of the next slope. Jump off
that one with a right curve to land on the long slope against the wall. Slide down, grab the edge and shimmy
right. Pull up, back flip with a turn
and grab the edge of the facing slope.
Shimmy to your far right, pull up and jump off the facing side at the
last instant with a right curve to grab the edge of the crate against the
wall. Rats
pour out when you pull up, so quickly turn around and take a running jump SE
into the opening between the upper crates.
Shoot the white-suited dude who
charges out from around the corner.
Note the closed grate to your right and go left to
find a large medipack. Go stand with your back against the crate,
facing N, and take four steps forward.
Back flip onto the gray slope, jump off without sliding and grab the
facing gray slope. Pull up and back flip
into an alcove. Jump up to grab the
monkey bars and monkey swing toward the flame blower on the right side. When you reach the end you should drop safely
into a corner. Wait for the flames to
subside and then run foward into the next
corner. When the flames subside again,
back flip to the slope behind you and jump off to land on a facing slope. Jump off it to a second slope, then to a long
third slope. Slide down and jump over
the blade trap onto the second of two breaktiles. Step forward to trigger a boulder, back flip
to land on the first breaktile, then
jump forward to safety after the boulder drops down into the deadly water.
Turn to face NW and take a standing jump to grab the
crack in the W wall. Shimmy to the left
and around the corner. Drop down onto a breaktile, reverse roll and jump forward to grab the crack
in the S wall. Shimmy right and around
the corner, and pull up into the alcove for a large
medipack.
Step forward and pull up left for another large
medipack.
Climb down the ladder into a water-filled trench where more rats await you.
Run W into the next room and wade to the far end. Activate the jumpswitches
in the NE and SW corners to open that grate near the top of the ladder. Climb back up and drop down into the lower
trench. Turn left into the opening and
shoot the mafioso
who emerges. Pick up the large medipack he drops
and note the timed wall switch to your left.
Before pulling it down, go right into the next room and shoot another mafioso
for his glock 17 ammo.
Now pull down the timed switch, reverse roll and sprint through the next
room into the timed N doorway.
You're back near the opening where you jumped earlier
after mastering the slope jumps in the room with deadly water. Take a standing jump NW to the crate with all
those rats crawling around on it, and from there take a running jump with grab
to land inside the N opening. Step
forward and pick up the small medipack,
then
follow the corridor to the N end. Shoot
the panel and pick up the CANAL ACCESS
key. The button to your right opens
the E gate to give you a shortcut back to an area you've already explored in
part. Go back S and use the Canal
Access key to lift the gate to your left.
Go inside for a tantalizing view of some Venetian scenery. However, you can't get outside from here, so
crawl through the S opening and pick up the CROWBAR. Crawl back and exit to the corridor. Use the crowbar where you shot the panel, and
you'll pry off some WIRES. Now use the E gate shortcut to return to the
water-filled pit. Jump into the water
and swim out S. Turn left and pull up
through the trap door you opened earlier.
Shoot the mafioso. Shooting the W panel does nothing. One would think the crowbar should open the S
door, but it doesn't. Try inserting the
Wires into the open panel. Lara will
sidestep to the right, insert the wires where they're supposed to go, and
voila! The S door opens.
Shoot the white-suited dude
in the next room and pick up the CODE CARD
he drops. Go up the cinder block stairs
and climb the S ladder. Shift right and
around the corner, and drop down into the window opening. Pick up the large
medipack, enjoy the view and then safety drop from the left side to the cinder blocks
below (or shimmy to your left and use the ladder to get back down). Use the Code Card to open the E door. Enter the next room and shoot the panel for SECRET #2.
Pick up the ROSE JEWEL and
continue up the steps. Push the floor
lever at the end of the corridor, and you'll hear the sound of a trap door
opening. Go back down,
jump up onto the table in the corner and pull up to a wooden stairway. Follow to an upper room and pick up the TORCH.
Carefully step toward the flames and light the torch. Empty that bottle of Red Wine into the scales
and light it. The gate behind you
opens. When you jump to grab the edge of
the facing roof, the level ends.
