The Apartment – 1st visit
After a short flyby
sequence you start with Lara in the bedroom. Leave the room and go into the
kitchen. Pick up the tablets from the floor, take a look through
the window and when you feel ready enter the first hole in the bathroom. You
are going to come often back to this apartment. All levels are connected, so
try to remember where you left switches, shootable
boxes, closed doors and other stuffs.
The Subway – 1st visit
Go downstairs and
take the right path until a new flyby starts. You see a dog coming out and a
dead man on the floor. Ignore the animal, jump over him and go straight to the
closed gates (don’t go left, just straight forward). On your left is a
crawlspace. You’ll find a new dog and a broken box with a switch. After
activating it, the bloody dog is gone and the gates to the subway station are
open. Exit the crawlspace and explore the two rooms where the dog came out you
were running from. You should find first aid stuff in the second room. Now
continue downstairs to the station. On your right you should see fire burning,
some homeless people, a burglar that needs you money and a door to a high room.
First we go left. Go
upstairs to a room where you see a few boxes, bottles and water dust coming out
of some pipes. When entering this room in front of you is a door, then more
left fences surrounding a small area with a box inside, and further left a
second door. Turn left and enter the last door described. Now you should see a metal
closet, a ventilator, a hidden door behind another closet and a few boxes. Open
the big closet and take the 1st ID-Card.
Leave the room and go back to the room with the fence. Jump over the fence and
behind the big box is a crawlspace. Go inside and you should enter a new big
room. Go to the left side of it. There should be a pillar and a slope in front
of it. Jump on the slope backwards and then while Lara is sliding jump again so
you can reach the top of the pillar. After you on it, jump to the other side.
After climbing on the
top of the room, go and enter a room (behind the pillars) with a hole in the
middle. There is a pushable wooden box with some money under it. Take the money. Don’t jump
through the hole down, instead, enter the only door in the room, jump down and
you’ll find secret
#1. Leave this room with the secret and enter a corridor with many doors. Simply open each door and explore them a
little bit. In the room where the barrel is burning, you can jump over it and
find secret
#2. It’s a bit difficult, but use the big
pipes when jumping over the fire. Stand near the fire and the pipes, jump while
trying in air to aim Lara to the right side. After a few tries, you should make
it. Also you can find some tablets in one of those rooms behind the big boxes
(in the room with a fixed camera). It’s important to remember that the last
right room in the corridor has a box with a switch in it and right now you
can’t use it (because you don’t have the pistols!). Also remember the two big black machines with
steam coming out of them. You will later in the game use a secret item on them.
Go back to the
homeless people, where the two barrels are burning and go through a door next
to them. You are now in a very tall room.
After entering go right and jump down. In a corner on the ground behind two big
pipes are some munitions
you can pick up. Use the only stairs to get back up again. Now you need to jump
to the platform with fences on it. Your aim is to get on the top of this room.
Its la bit hard to describe. Go to the end of this platform with fences on it
and jump to the other platform and again to the stairs. Climb up with the
climbable wall. You are now on another higher platform. You need to get to the
other climbable wall with the little block platforms placed on the opposite
wall of the entrance. Climb up again and with a long jump you should make to
the platform with a sliding slope on it. Jump with Lara three times and you’re
on a new platform with burning crates. Go right and jump to the ventilators.
Now it gets tricky.
You need to jump to the right sliding slope and then with a jump to another
platform behind the wall. While you in the first slope, let Lara slide near the
end of it and then jump while aiming her to the right, so she doesn’t land and
a next slope on the opposite side. You
need to get behind the wall on a little piece of platform where she can stand.
From there you can reach another climbable wall with a long jump. Climb it up
and now you should see a monkey ceiling that will lead you to the other side of
the room to a small platform. Now you’re standing under the monkey ceiling and
from there jump to the next platform. Jump to the only platform with a standable slope on it. Now you need to get to another
platform that’s behind the wall with. You can reach it with a banana jump.
Enter the door and a
flyby starts. You see a red room with a Teddy bear on the floor. First go
behind the boxes in the right corner with a side jump and pick up secret #3.
Go through the door on the other side of the room. There is a first aid
stuff you can pick up. Go back to the teddy room and jump into the first pit (there are three of them, you need to get into the first one near the entrance).
There should be a crawlspace you can go in. Pick up the coin item and leave the room
(sometimes it may be difficult to pick it up, if so, try to duck with Lara). A
dog will appear, but just ignore him. There are several ways to get back down,
but I will describe the shortest one. You will lose some health. When leaving
the teddy room run forward, turn around and jump backwards. Grab yourself with
Lara on the edge of the platform and let her fall. You have now lost a little
bit of health. Jump from there to the platform with ventilators on it. Again,
jump backwards and grab on the edge of the ventilator platform and then let
Lara fall. You should land on a grey-green
metal platform with a door.
Enter the door and
now you’re on the beginning of the level. Go back to the subway station with
the homeless people. One of them will accept your money and give you the second
ID-Card.
Take it and go to the ticket-machine. By ticket-machine I mean the brown
pillars. One of them will accept the coin item and open the way to the train
tunnel. In the tunnel go left. While running through
it, on your right side should be a hole for the ID-Card. Put it inside, enter
the room, pull the switch and continue going through the tunnel. You will reach
a new station with burning cars. Go the left corner, climb up and you’ll see
more burning cars. Go straight to the only way you can go. There is a red
burning car that will attack you. Ignore it. Jump over the attacking red car
and you should reach a room with two brown wooden pillars. There is another
ID-Card slot that will open the way to a dark hole. Slide down to a bloody
metal room. Crawl into the only hole you can see.
The apartment – 2nd visit
Now you’re in the
apartment again. You start in a little room with grey walls. Through the
crawlspace you will get to the bathroom. Go to the kitchen. There you will see
the first changes on the apartment. A face appeared. Ignore it. There is now a
hole in the kitchen that will lead you to another strange apartment. Explore it
a little bit. Take a good look through the window in the living room, and then
return to the first apartment. Go to the bedroom and crawl into a new hole that
will lead you to the next level. There is nothing more to do for now in the
apartment. You will come back later to this place to pick up a few items.
A place for mental scars – 1st visit
This part is very
simple. At the start, turn around. Crawl
behind the burning flame and you should reach a little room. Pick up secret #4.
Go back to the beginning. There are 4 corridors with many doors. I won’t
describe each one of them. Open each of them, explore them and pick up a few
items. In the 3rd corridor there is a room with a little bit purple
light. There is a hidden Jump switch on the entrance wall. Pull it and a flyby
will show you a devil-head (you can shoot with the revolver combined with a
laser sight) and a basement door. Jump down to this door and you’ll reach a
destroyed room. It’s recommended to save your game. Slide down to the dark
room. Music starts and creatures will attack you. This is place is like a
labyrinth. First go forward and then left. Go through the metal door and you
should reach a room with a bridge and a painting at the end. Go down and pickup
the pistols.
Go back up and enter again the labyrinth. Now you must go to the other side of
the maze. It’s not complicated. You should reach a metal fence you can shoot
with your pistols. In the maze you can pick up first aid stuff. Climb back up.
Go through the open gates and you’re back to the place before you went down to
the maze. Here you can pick up secret #5. It’s hidden behind a rock before
jumping again down to the room with the hole to the maze.
Now you need to go
back to the place with four corridors and many doors. Go to the first corridor.
There should be a room with a shootable metal fence.
Shoot it and pull the switch. A camera will show you the open gates. It’s the
second gate in the big corridor on the left side of the complex. Enter it and
you’re again in the subway level.
The subway – 2nd visit
Just at the
beginning, turn around and go carefully back. You should notice on the right
wall a switch (before triggering the finish trigger for going back to the place
for mental scars). Pull it and a camera shows you a door that opened.
The next part is just
for a secret, so if you don’t want to collect it, skip it:
After pulling the
switch a door opens in the teddy bear
room. By teddy bear room, I mean the room where you found the coin item and
secret #3. Climb back up (use the
shortcut with the door that brought you back to the beginning of the subway
level…remember when you were the first time in the teddy bear room, you jumped
down on a metal grey – green platform with a door that lead to the beginning of
the subway level ) to the red teddy bear room. Go through the only door it
this room with a ventilator in it and a big pipe on the floor. In this room now
should be another door opened. Go inside and pick a secret item called “usable on a
machine“ or “screwdriver”. Now go back down
to the corridor with many doors and a zombie in it. In one of those rooms on
the left side are two black machines. Use the screwdriver on the right one
(where steam is coming out) and a new door is opened. Go to the room with the
closet where you have found the first ID-Card. There is now a door open. Go
inside and pick up secret #6 with much good stuff Lara will need.
After picking up the
secret you need to go again to the corridor
with many doors (see ˝Subway – 1st visit) and a zombie
inside. Go to the last room on the right side. There is a shootable
box with a switch inside. Pull it. Go back to the corridor and a door is now
open at the end of this corridor. Go through it and it will lead you to a big
room with water. Dive in and swim to the right corner. There is a hole that
will lead you to a lever switch. Pull it and the camera shows you a room with
water. Now go back to the train tunnel. Remember, last time we went to the left
side of the tunnel where the burning cars were (and one of them attacked you).
Now we need to go to the right end. There you should find the room on the left
wall with an underwater switch. Pull it, go back to the tunnel and the gets on
this end are now open. There is a hole in the wall. Jump in it, go left and
pick up the crowbar
behind some boxes. Nothing more to do here.
Go back to the big
room were the water was. At the first platforms at the entrance to the room
jump to the left pillar. There is no need to jump around. Climb on the pillar.
Jump to the only possible hole in the wall. Now you should be in a weird room with many boxes. Go around
the box wall, climb up. From there jump to the opposite room and pick up a shotgun.
Go back to the platform you just jumped from. Take a good look to the left
corner, there should be another little platform you need to jump to. Now you
can reach the hidden platform between two boxes. It’s a bit hard to notice it.
Jump to it and go through the crawlspace. Pull the crowbar switch and a flyby will show you the gates opening and a
flying creature. Go back to the big room with the pillars and were the water
was. Shot the monster and go through the open gates. On the right path
you can slide down to the burning car section (where the red one attacked you)
and pick up a first aid stuff behind a pillar. On
the left path you can jump over the burning barrel with a homeless
people warming herself on it. There is a crawlspace hidden behind a rock and a
burning flame that will lead you back to the apartment.
The Apartment – 3rd visit
Now you’re back in
the apartment. As you can see, the walls changed. You start in the bedroom. Go
to the living room, explore everything, and take a very good look through the
window. On the other side you can see a person watching Lara. Go back to the
bedroom. Behind the bed is a hole that will lead you to another weird
apartment. Pick up the laser sight that’s on the floor between a few
mirrors. The room changes. Go back to Lara’s
apartment. In the kitchen, were the last time a strange face appeared, should
be a new hole. Crawl in it and you’re again in the place for mental scars
level.
A
place for mental scars – 2nd visit
Pick up the revolver ammo
on the floor. Exit the room with a big container in it. In the corridor enter
the room on your left side. There is a crowbar-switch on the floor. Pull it. Go
back to the corridor and enter the just opened room. Take the revolver
from the floor and combine it with your laser sight item. Go to the corridor
with the sing that has a red arrow on it, pointing the right. Jump over it and go to the end. There is a devil-head
you can shoot with the revolver. Do it and go the room with the second devil-head
(the room with the door to the basement where the labyrinth with the creatures was).
To shoot the second demigod-head you need to climb up the climbable wall to get
to the next floor of the complex. After shooting it, go back to the 4th
corridor. There should be now two doors open. In one of them you’ll find a
switch. Pull it and a flyby will show you where you need to go. The second room
is for a secret. You enter a room with sloped floor. Go to the end and jump up
to the next room. After going through a few rooms you’ll reach a dead end with secret #7
on the right side.
Be careful! A big
creature will appear (like the ones from the maze). He can kill you very easily
because he will shoot fire on you. There are several ways how to escape him.
First, don’t enter the last room with the secret. When you see the creature,
aim him far away from the last run. Then run as fast as you can to the secret,
pick it up and exit. If you already picked up the secret and you can’t get out
because he always burns Lara, try to duck. The monster won’t see Lara and will
try to catch her. When he comes close enough he won’t shoot fire anymore and
you can escape without being killed. When you finished collecting the secret,
go to the upper floor where flyby sequence showed you. For this part you can
find a map.pdf file that comes with
the level when you download it. Follow the map and first go to the right upper
room on the map. It’s a room with a billiard table. Between them you can find
the first electronic
piece. Then take another look at the map. Now you need to go the
room that only has 2 doors signs on it. It’s, more or less, in the middle of
the map. Insert the electronic piece for the door next to the burning barrels.
Enter the room, pull the jump switch and a camera should show you a room. Now
you need to go to the room in the right-down corner of your map. When you in
it, don’t pull the lever switch (the worms that appear after pulling it could
possibly be stuck in the room and prevent you from picking up an item – Bug Warning)! First pick up under the
right table the second electronic piece and under the left table the secret #8. Now pull the lever switch and some bloody big worms appear.
Now you should take another look on the map. Go to the arrow that’s pointing
out of the maze complex. There is a crawlspace.
You are
now in a room with metal walls. Go right until you find the hole in the floor.
Fall through it. Run in a circle until you find another hole in the wall that
will lead you into the middle of this room. All walls are climbable.
When you find the hole in the wall for this middle part, climb on the left wall
up. Now you’re on a higher floor. Use your flashlight to find another hole in
the ceiling. When you see it, climb up the wall until you’re on the top of the
room. Use your second electronic piece and the room changes a little bit and
music starts. Go back to the first floor. There is now a big hole in the floor.
Jump in it and you fall in bloody water. Continue walking until the camera
shows you a bunch of zombies. Run through them and before you enter the next
room save your game. When you enter the next room a boss fight will start, but
you don’t need to kill him. It will take around 20 -25 revolver shots to take
him down. Dive into the water and in one of the corners you will find the third
electronic piece. Insert it in the only possible place. Go
through the open door until you reach another door after a long corridor. Open
it. Now you should be in a room with a big bed in the middle. Explore a little
bit, touch the blonde girl and when you’re ready follow the red arrows on the signs.
You can go through a wall where they are pointing (it’s the left wall from the
entrance). The next corridor will take you back to the apartment.
The apartment – 4th visit
A flyby
will introduce you into the new changed apartment. After the sequence explore a
little bit the environments. You can find first aid stuff in one of those rooms on the first floor.
Jump up to the second floor and here you can find some tablets on
the floor. There is a big creature you can easily kill with about 15 – 25 revolver
shots. In one of the corners is a fridge. Behind it you can pick up Helena’s Cross. After picking it up, go back to the first floor. In the second
apartment is a wooden cross. After
picking up Helena’s cross, the wooden cross becomes a transporter back to the
subway level (with the power of Helena’s Cross).
The subway – 3rd visit
Before
doing anything, go to the hole that lead you to the apartment (jump over the
burning barrel, go behind the burning car – see the end of ˝the subway – 2nd
visit), there you should find secret #9. After picking it up you need to go back
to the train tunnel. Go to his left
end. There is now a gate open.
The apartment – 5th visit
This time
you don’t need to do anything. A sequence will show you a few interesting
thinks and automatically teleport you back to the place for mental scars level.
A Place for mental scars – 3rd visit
After a
long sequence you find yourself again in this complex. Go forward. A few
enemies will appear, but just ignore them. Run until a flyby gets you to the
end of this game.
