Level 1 – The Old Chapel (first visit)

 

Reward for finding all secrets: Uzis, Small Medipack, Shotgun Ammo

 

The Village

 

Read the text message that appears after starting the game and press Escape to quit it. You gain control over Lara and directly have to shoot two soldiers that attack you; notice you already have the Shotgun in your inventory. One of the killed enemies has lost Shotgun Ammo so take it with you. You will probably have noticed another soldier on the roof of a NW building, take him out quickly. Now head E through the streets approaching a pool. Kill another soldier on the NE roof, you might want to climb up and kill him on top which can be more health-consuming. He leaves Uzi Ammo for you. Drop into the E fenced off part and pick up a Large Medipack from one of the boxes, climb up again and drop back down into the streets. Now head to the alley SW of the pool (there's nothing in the water so you can ignore it). Run into the alcove and open the door into the building. Inside the  warehouse shatter the “fragile” marked box for a Small Medipack. Kill a soldier coming out of the rear rooms, then head into the room he came from. Head to the end and light a flare. Near the NW corner you can find a box different to the others; pull it away and find a Bronze Shield for Secret #1 where the box originally was placed. There's nothing more to do here so head back outside. On the streets head NW and into the short alley, you can open the door to the left hand building and find a Large Medipack here. Head back out and N to arrive in a larger courtyard with the chapel in the N.

 

Into The Chapel

 

The main doors are closed for now so head through the street left of the church. You'll soon see several barriers around a manhole cover. Ignore it for now and head to the far N courtyard. Lara looks onto the rear roof of the church so climb up using the slightly elevated floor. On top turn around and kill a soldier, get back down to get his Large Medipack. Climb back up and from the lowest part of the ramp, shatter the diagonal windows further up on the incline. Drop down into the church and head S around the altar. A cutscene shows the main doors being opened and two soldiers arriving. Fight them and pick up the Shotgun Ammo one leaves behind. Now climb up to the left of the two N platforms very near the cross receptacles (note that one cross is missing), turn around and use several horizontal poles to get to the other side; note that you have to reach a full green bar to be able to jump to the next pole. On the opposite platform pick up Secret #2, the Gold Shield. Drop down to the floor again. You'll visit the church again later, but for now exit through the main doors.

 

Sewers Intermezzo

 

Return NW to the manhole and the barriers around it. Shatter them and open the cover looking N. Drop down into the sewers. Follow the half-flooded passage and go right at the first crossing, at the end of the passage you can find Shotgun Ammo. Head back to the junction and go right now, arriving at another junction. The left passage leads you to a dead-end for now, so head right and wade to the very end, ignoring a left alcove. Climb out of the half-flooded passage and arrive in a larger room with deadly acid. Jump to the central platform and notice some raised and yet-to-be-raised blocks W. Jump to the E walkway and use the timed switch which will raise a W block, but it also triggers a soldier. It's best to first deal with him, then use the lever again. Either way, when you are doing the timed run, backflip with a midair turn, run-jump to the central platform and from here to the raised block. Jump to the second, safe block and from here to the far walkway. Use the jumpswitch to open a trapdoor somewhere else and also a nearby door leading you back into the half-flooded room. Go right and when you come to the last junction head on straight. Get to the very end (there's a shortcut alcove about halfway through) and climb out of the water, then get up the ladder. Here is the trapdoor you've opened with the jumpswitch. In the next warehouse chamber kill a soldier who leaves Shotgun Ammo. Use the two levers beside the door to open up the exit to the streets and also a lattice door not far from the building you're just visiting.

 

Another Courtyard, Creating a Bridge

 

Head S with the chapel on your right, and enter the left passage you've just opened up. Enter another large courtyard, head E and take out the two soldiers on the N and S roofs. You can climb the boxes to get onto the N roof and pick up Shotgun Ammo from the dead soldier. Return to the start of the area and run up the N stairs onto a balcony. Follow to its end and shatter a fragile box to find a Small Medipack. Return downstairs and go E to the large building. You can't enter it yet due to the lack of a certain key, so go around either left or right side and follow to the E end of the area. Spot and run down the ramp NE and enter the cellar of the large building. Go around the corner and head straight to the marked box. Open it (just like a sarcophagus) to get Flares, then quickly turn around and shoot an attacking soldier. Run down the W ramp and arrive into a new room. Climb down the ladder at the gap in the fence and run around it to use the jumpswitch on the E wall. A cutscene shows a bridge appearing on the upper floor, so climb up the ladder again, turn and run-jump to the said bridge, then to the other side. Enter the W passage, kill a soldier in the next room and open the box to get the Crowbar.

 

The Warehouse Key, Back Outside

 

Return to the last room, safety-drop to the floor and head into either of the W openings. Kill a dog and open the door with the Crowbar. Head up the ramp and in the next room monkeyswing over the lava, trying to avoid the health-taking gas best as possible (i.e by staying on either left or right side, so that only one of the respective two emitters can harm you). At the end follow the tunnel into the next room, go right at the crossing and shatter the fragile box for Wideshot Shotgun Ammo. Turn around and head to the opposite door, open it with the crowbar and head down the ramp. A text message states “Something must be hidden in that hole”, so approach the hole in the opposite wall and grab in to find the Warehouse Key. Turn around and before leaving this room, shatter the fragile box to your right, then push the crate stack away to find Secret #3, the Silver Shield. Head back out of this room and up the ramp. Kill a newly arrived soldier at the crossing, take his Uzi Ammo with you and open the exit door E. Run upstairs, kill another soldier and follow the corridors S. The next soldier attacks so get rid of him and pass the PC. There's nothing to do with it so use the lever to open the door around the corner. Exit the building and reach a balcony of the last outside area.

 

The Warehouse

 

Kill the soldier and go left at the junction, follow the walkway to its end and climb down the ladder in the fenced area. Pick up Shotgun Ammo, climb back up the ladder and return to the junction. Now go straight and at the end you can run down the stairs to reach the floor level again. Head W around the large building and go to the middle of the W wall to use the Warehouse Key in the keyhole, this opens the main door and you can enter. Kill a soldier coming from the left, take his Shotgun Ammo with and go into the room where he came from. Take the Large Medipack from the crates in the NE corner and exit this room E. Shoot a dog and leave this room through the passage opposite of the entrance, go left then and head upstairs. Kill another two dogs and go SW to the tightrope. Use it to get to the other side of the gap and don't fall in the poison. Afterwards head into the NE room, kill two soldiers (one leaves Uzi Ammo) and use the S lever to open a trapdoor. Go out and W, safety-drop to the lower floor and, just like you did the first time, make your way to the E rooms. This time don't go up the stairway again but head SE over or around the crates, kill a soldier who leaves Wideshot Shotgun Ammo and drop down the just opened trapdoor. Follow the passage until the level changes.

 

 

Level 2 – Saint Andrew's Cross

 

Reward for finding all secrets: Uzi Ammo, Large Medipack, Shotgun Ammo

 

Cell Area

 

Follow the narrow tunnel to its end arriving in a larger chamber. During all your actions in this room you have to avoid the moving firetraps in the lower part. In the locked room N you can already see a secret shield, but you cannot get it now. Go to the middle of the room and search the two coffins in the left and right chambers for Flares and Uzi Ammo. There is only one open cell, SW, so enter here and pick up Shotgun Ammo; the skeleton tells you “You'd better get out of here. It's dangerous!”. Return to the main room and when the fires in the lower part just move away, drop into the chamber and quickly run onto the walkway with the floor lever to be safe of the fires. Push the lever and another cell door opens. When the fires move into the other direction quickly run to the hole and climb up again. The NW cell door is open so head in. A knight attacks you and the door closes behind you. Kill the knight and head further through the corridor, find Shotgun Ammo in a coffin in a right antechamber. Now head to the room with deadly water. Jump on the left walkway, sprint quickly to the other side and jump to the safe other side, since the objects try to push you into the lava. Also notice a (not THE) cross to the other side of the window, but it remains inaccessible for now. Follow the passage until you arrive at a crossing. You can choose either of the E or W openings first, you'll come back to this room after solving the tasks there.

 

East Route, Mirror Room

 

Follow the E passage and when you run down the ramp go right in a small room. Search the floor for a Large Medipack and climb the block to the right of the entrance for Wideshot Shotgun Ammo. Head back on the ramp. You'll arrive in a mirror room; watch the mirror for several deadly tiles in this room with two pushblocks in it. Before doing anything else head to the hole in the NW corner, drop in and follow the passage to a larger room under the mirror room. Except for a floor lever you have to use in the NE corner there's nothing you can do here, afterwards head back upstairs to the mirror room. The last lever has lit a torch and now some lights can be seen in the mirror, a green and a blue one. So push the green marked block to the place the green light shines to in the mirror, and do the same with the blue block. There is also a texture hint in the “real” room on the ceiling. If done correctly a torch lights up each and after both blocks are placed correctly the exit door opens W. Head in and go right, up the stairs and shatter the chest for Wideshot Shotgun Ammo.

 

The Fiery Room, First Cross

 

Head into the next room and a flyby kicks in. Jump to the NW corner of the right hand fire pillar, hang off the ledge and shimmy SW. Climb up, turn around and stand-jump to the SW alcove. Run onto the elevated tile and jump up to grab the upper walkway. Follow the dark walkway N (the flare bug makes life hard here) around several corners, at the end pick up the Silver Shield for Secret #1 (4). Return to the hole where you climbed up, drop down and make your way back to the starting ledge. With the same technique as before, use the SE pillar to get to the far alcove, here you can use a floor lever. Jump back to the previous pillar, but there's no need to return to the starting ledge again. Stay at the corner close to the floor lever, face W, and when the fire goes out (it appears quickly though) try running a little bit to the middle, then immediately back left and take a jump over to the platform in the middle of the room. Go to the right side of the wheel and use it at least four times, then quickly run-jump to the S ledge, climb up and sprint through the timed door. Inside take the first Red Maltese Cross, a door opens and a knight comes out so kill him. Follow down the passage, kill another knight and shatter the chest for Shotgun Ammo. Head out of this room through the only possible exit else than where you came from, jump over to the block and over the lava to the ledge with the door, which opens on approach. You're back in the previous lava room, but on the lower stage. Drop on either of the two platforms sticking out of the lava. There are two routes; the one over the right platforms leads to a Large Medipack while the left one to the exit. Jump into the alcove, follow the corridor and eventually approach a self-opening door. Drop down into a familiar corridor. Enter the right tunnel, go through the mirror room and head back up the ramp where you came from, leading you back to the hub room, where the Flares are working normally again.

 

West Route Deactivating the Mines

 

Follow the W passage down to a larger room, kill a knight around the corner and use a floor lever N where he came from. The nearby door opens so head through and in the next room dive into the water. Swim down in the tunnel and come to a smaller underwater maze. At the junctions swim right (pick up Shotgun Ammo), straight, after the ramp leading downstairs straight. Climb out of the water into a room with two floor levers you don't even dare to use yet. Follow the opposite passage into a larger room. Kill two knights and climb the low block S in this room, run-jump to the  NW pillar, then to the N walkway. Climb the ladder, at the highest possible point release and immediately hit Action again, shimmy right, around the corner and until you can drop on a ledge. Turn, jump to the far pillar, climb into the opening and in the tunnel use the floor lever to deactivate the fire on the central pillar in the last room. Return, run-jump there and drop from the N side to grab and use a jumpswitch. The two floor levers in the last room are now safe, but the jumpswitch also lowered a block behind the last floor lever. If you want to find all secrets, you have to climb all the way up there again, the safe pillar previously set on fire marks a shortcut though. Enter the passage with the floor lever and find the Cell Key in the newly revealed part. Return out, safety-drop to the floor and return to the two floor lever room.

 

Creating a Stairway, Second Cross

 

Push both of them and dive back into the water. In the small maze swim straight, up the ramp, right and right and after some swimming climb out again. Climb the blocks and this time run-jump to a just raised block on the other side (S). Climb up and head into the next room. Use the floor lever to create a stairway in an earlier room. Kill a knight, return to the previous pool room and make your way to the other side, follow the N passage and kill another knight. In the last room you can find the elevated stairway, first go under the stairs and spot a hole in the floor, drop down and in the next room find Secret #2 (5), the Bronze Shield. Climb back up and now head up the stairs, then onto the upper stage. Shatter the box for Uzi Ammo and jump over to the E side for a Large Medipack. Return to the previous ledge, then enter the W passage, climb some blocks and come to a gap with some fires. In case you can't jump over it climb the ladder and use the jumpswitch to deactivate the fires, get down and drop into the hole, then climb up on the other side. Drop down some blocks and jump over the spike pits, drop down some blocks and jump over the lava to the other side (could have been done from above too). Head up the ramp and take the second Red Maltese Cross with you, return to the lava, jump over it and climb the first block. Turn around, a trapdoor has opened for you providing a shortcut up. Kill a knight, then run down the stairs and exit this area SE, coming back to the hub room.

 

Placing the Crosses, Raising the Cage

 

Head up the S passage and in the next chamber shatter the right hand chest for a Small Medipack. Place the two Red Maltese Crosses in their receptacles and the S door opens. Get through the corridor into the next room avoiding the axe traps carefully, take the Small Medipack from the skeleton and approach the E lava. Jump to the first slope (no grab is needed), then immediately jump and grab the edge of the second slope. When the fire just goes out climb up, jump to the third slope and quickly to the next one. From here jump to the horizontal poles, swing three times and then jump to the respectively next one until you land in the opening in the wall. Follow into another large room. Use the tightrope to get to the other side, head right and jump over to the floor lever. This one opens a SW door; jump back to the previous walkway, kill a knight and enter said door. After some climbing jump over the lava gap to the other side, pull out a block twice. In the room behind where the block originally was placed you can find Shotgun Ammo near a skeleton. Return, climb on the block and into the higher room. Use the floor lever to raise the cage around the pushblock in the previous room.

 

St. Andrew's Cross

 

Return all the way there and push/pull the block over the walkway SE under the hole in the ceiling. Climb up, use the floor lever which releases some ropes N and run to the N side of the walkway. Jump to the first rope and swing-jump over the various ropes until you can jump onto the W walkway. Jump N and use the jumpswitch here, then return over the gap and head far S. Climb the raising block here and get to the upper stage. Jump to the N bridge, find a Small Medipack and Uzi Ammo and then head onto the E bridge to jump to the SE room. Grab St. Andrew's Cross from the receptacle and a door near the floor lever on the floor level opens. Make your way down here (there are various ways to get there, but the shortest is to drop on the lower stage, run N and from where you jumped to the first rope, take a run-jump to the ledge with the floor lever). Head down the ramp, kill a knight and use the floor lever to open the cell door back to the very first room of this level. In case you've found the Cell Key, head to the opposite (NE) cell and open it with the key. Inside you can find Secret #3 (6), the Gold Shield. Head out and exit the main hall through the E passage. Follow it to return to the first level.

 

 

Level 1 – The Old Chapel (second visit)

 

Moving the Altar

 

You are back in the passage where you left the level once. Head to its end and climb up to either left or right side, arriving back in the warehouse. There's nothing to do here anymore, so just leave it through the W opening. Back outside, kill a soldier and head to the W where you can return to the large area with many buildings and the chapel, where a dog and a soldier are awaiting you, so fight them before moving on. Head back into the chapel (in case you didn't visit it the first time, read the chapter Into the Chapel in the first visit of the level) through the main doors and head N behind the altar. Place St. Andrew's Cross in the left hand receptacle which has been missing the cross until now. The altar moves away revealing a hole in the floor. Kill a last soldier and drop into the hole. Follow down the ramp, head into the left passage and soon the level ends.

 

 

Level 3 – The Fire Dragons

 

Reward for finding all secrets: Shotgun Ammo, Small Medipack, Revolver Ammo

 

The Caves

 

Head through the long passage and in the next larger room, kill a new kind of knight coming from downstairs. Before moving on, run onto the left balcony and pick up a Large Medipack. Another knight attacks from behind so kill him, then head downstairs. You can already see the item of your destination through a fence, but it's still a long way until you can reach it. Get to the SE part of the caves and climb the SW rocks to find Shotgun Ammo. Slide and climb back down and head into the N caves. In the NE corner you can find the Uzis near a skeleton, kill an attacking knight and afterwards head NW and spot the passage leading away from this area. In the next room ignore the lower stage for now. Don't worry, even if it seems so, the next task is not timed. Run-jump to the E platform and make your way to the far ledge. Monkeyswing over to the next platform and jump over the next few ledges to reach the opening in the N wall. Fires have appeared on the platforms just after you left them. Enter the passage, climb the block at the end, turn and jump on the higher ledge.

 

First Timed Run

 

Follow the passage and in the next room look into the W hole. You need to do a timed run soon, but first we go for a secret. Jump to the central pillar in the hole and turn S. Jump into the passage hidden by foliage, then head to the opposite end of the cave and climb some blocks. Enter the E crawlspace and follow the passage to find Secret #1 (7), the Bronze Shield. Return through the caves, jump back to the pillar in the hole and then to the E ladder. Climb up and drop into the N room. Open the chest to your left for a Small Medipack, then step on the trigger tile in the centre of the room to raise a block for eight seconds. Quickly run out of the small depression, jump up the block, curve right and jump onto the timed block. From here jump to the opposite walkway and climb up. Follow the walkway, kill a knight and push the floor lever at the end to deactivate the fire trap in the previous area. Make your way back over the pit (the timed block has raised again) and return through the S passage to the last area. Run-jump to the central structure, drop in the gap and use the floor lever. This opens the door in the E wall so get out of this structure, jump over the water pool and enter the passage.

 

Second Timed Run, First Cross

 

After some metres quickly hide in either left or right alcove to avoid a boulder, then head upstairs, avoid several axe traps and enter the next room as the door closes behind you. Kill the fire dragon with a heavier weapon, then head to the N and dive into the pool. Follow the tunnel to a larger room, pick up Explosive Crossbow Ammo and use the underwater lever to raise a block in the last area. Return all the way there, climb out of the water and climb the ledge near the raising block, just in the corner so that you don't catch flames. Climb onto the raising block and the highest pillar. Pick up Shotgun Ammo, a fire wraith appears so quickly drop down and dive back into the pool. The wraith follows you and vanishes in the water. Climb back up the pillars and jump to the NE ledge with two jumpswitches. First use the left one and some spikes in the SE corner in this room permanently lower. The right one is a timed run, though not particularly tight, which raises a platform S. Turn around, run-jump to the SW pillar, then to the S pillar, the E platform and to the platform with the lowered spikes. From here jump to the large pillar whose spikes have lowered by now, the next spikes lower so jump NE to the pillar and finally into the N passage. Follow up the ramp, drop into the gap for Uzi Ammo and climb out at the other side. Get through the crawlspace and to the end of the passage, monkeyswing over the previous room to the other side and get the first Blue Maltese Cross from the pedestal. You can see a door opening in the previous room, so slide down backwards the ramp and safety-drop to the floor. Kill a knight and enter the E door that has opened, it closes behind you.

 

The Torch, Second Cross

 

Follow the passage and dive into the pool at the end. Swim through the tunnel, head left at the junction and get Explosive Crossbow Ammo, head back and straight at the junction, climb out and get into a larger room. Kill the knight and search for the Revolver near a skeleton on the other side of the pool. This triggers another knight so shoot him down before taking the Torch near where you entered this room. Light it down the ramp and head NE to light three wall torches here. This raises several blocks in this room. Leave the Torch here and head into the SW corner, follow the passage and kill another knight. Climb the ladder around the corner and push the block nearby once. Follow the passage to the other side of the block, push it twice and climb on it. Jump over the raising blocks to the N side and slide down there. Further in the passage kill a knight and search the chest for Shotgun Ammo. Jump over the S platforms to the far ledge, climb the ladder, shimmy to the left and climb up into a higher room. Jump onto the S ledge for a Small Medipack, then follow the W passage, get through the crawlspace and drop down in the hole at the end. Grab the second Blue Maltese Cross, a door in the pool opens so jump down there and follow the long underwater passage.

 

Pairing off two Wraiths, Third Cross

 

Climb out and follow the passage, slide down a ramp and an ice wraith starts chasing you. Drop into the next room and use the crowbar lever, then head upstairs and S to climb the block you raised with the last lever. Jump to either of the two left or right blocks and from here to the N rope, swing and jump to the N balcony and use the floor lever to let a fire wraith appear. The two wraiths start chasing each other and leave you alone, but just in case they won't you can use the melted pool below. From the platform with the switch jump to the SW edge of the SE pillar, then stand-jump and grab the edge of the S pillar. Shimmy left, climb up and jump into the opening. Follow the passage to a room with deadly water. Loop around two left corners, climb the blocks here and get to the second stage of the room. Jump over the pillars, then to the crevice. Shimmy right until you can climb up, grab the next crevice high up left, shimmy around several corners until you can stand up safely without the possibility to get caught by the flame emitter. Jump to the S exit and slide into the next room. Go around the walkway and jump to the pillar, climb up and slide, then jump to the pole and swing-jump to the other side. Use the jumpswitch and quickly run to either left or right so that the boulder won't hit you. It will open the gate in the lower part of the room though. Before going down head up the ramp where the boulder came from and follow the right passage until you can find Secret #2 (8), the Silver Shield. Head back, drop down into the room and kill a fire dragon. Follow the passage behind the open door and in the next room get the first Green Maltese Cross from the pedestal.

 

Shooting the Ball

 

Drop through the just opened trapdoor into the once iced pool, get out and climb the S raising block again. Get onto the W block now, jump to the NW pillar (either get directly to the far W side or first to the near side, then hang off the ledge and shimmy to the W side). Jump into the opening where the gate opened and head into the next room through the corridor. Kill a knight and search the chest in the NW corner for Revolver Ammo and the Lasersight. Look into the passage in the far W wall and shoot the ball either with the Revolver and Lasersight or just with pistols, jumping up and down. The underwater gate in the pool in front of you opens so dive in and follow the tunnel. At the only junction swim right and get Shotgun Ammo, then return and swim on right until you can climb out. Kill a knight and exit this room SW. In the next room, before jumping to the crevice drop onto the lower ledge, then face SW and run-jump to grab the edge of the slope. Shimmy left and around the corner to climb into a passage. Get the Gold Shield for Secret #3 (9) and return. Dive into the water and climb back out at the N ledge. Climb the higher ledge too, turn and jump to the crevice. Shimmy left and around the corner, drop on the platform. Climb the ladder, backflip and pull out the block twice. Go around it and push it once, climb on it (don't mind the passages – there's nothing inside) and then up to the higher room.

 

The (Large) Fire Dragons, Last Cross

 

Open the chest to find Uzi Ammo, then head S and drop into the hole in the ground. There are several fire-spitting dragons in this room, but if you stay in the middle of the platform, you can't catch fire at all, so do just that and jump from platform to platform, until you can jump down to the lower opening in the far wall. Enter the next room, climb the broken pillar near the middle of the W wall and use the various slopes to jump to the crevice. Shimmy left around the corner, drop onto the platform and climb the ladder, then around the right corner and drop onto the higher stage. Run through the room and get the second Green Maltese Cross. Return, spot the open door SE and jump into the alcove. Slide down the long slope, on the bottom of the room search for a W chest. It contains a Large Medipack. Now exit this room N, in the next room place all four Maltese Crosses in the W and E receptacles and the N gates open. Enter the next chamber through either of them and slide down the incline in the NE corner to end this level.

 

 

Level 4 – The World of the Deads

 

Reward for finding all secrets: Wideshot Shotgun Ammo, Uzi Ammo, Revolver

 

To the Main Hall

 

Slide down and jump into the pool at the end. Climb out, search the chest for Shotgun Ammo and climb the first two blocks. Standing on the second one raises several trapdoors for a not too tightly timed period, so jump to the first, climb up, turn right and run-jump to the next, turn, jump to the third, turn and jump to grab the safe platform. Climb up and follow the passage to a larger room with a pool. Shatter only the left chest (for Shotgun Ammo) – the right one contains a skeleton so you'd better ignore it. Dive into the pool and follow the tunnel. Follow it (there are no real junctions), eventually you can find Uzi Ammo to the right, at the end climb out and use the floor lever to open the N gate in the previous room. Swim back and climb out, enter the gate to reach a larger room. Pick up the Crossbow near the skeleton and jump to the lower N platform.

 

First Blue Celt Symbol

 

Don't try to get close to the item on the left pedestal, instead jump to the W pillar, use the tightrope to get to the other side and jump into the N opening. In the next room monkeyswing over the lava, at the junction get right, drop onto the ledge for Shotgun Ammo and return to the monkeyswing. Get right here again (notice several closed doors in the rooms you just visited) and drop onto the E ledge, head out to the larger room again, jump to the S pillar and from here to the E opening. Kill a knight in the next room and use the two jumpswitches to both clean a pillar from fire and also let another item appear on the central platform. Get out to the SW balcony, pick up Revolver Ammo and jump to the now safe pillar. From here jump to the middle platform again and pick up the newly appeared item – the first Blue Celt Symbol. A SW door opens in the SW part of the lower floor, jump down there and enter. In the next room jump to the central pillar in the lava and from here to the ladder. Climb up, then backflip with midair turn and grab the opposite ladder, shimmy left around several corners until you can get the Large Medipack. Grab the ladder again, shimmy left until you can climb into a higher room.

 

Second Blue Celt Symbol

 

Use the Crossbow to get rid of two skeletons, then open the nearby chest for Wideshot Shotgun Ammo. Exit this room and follow down the ramp, sprint down when the boulder appears behind you and safe yourself by running into the right corridor. The boulder has crashed the wall in the corridor so return there and head through the newly opened part to find Secret #1 (10), the Bronze Shield. Return to the previous side passage and follow it to another room with two jumpswitches; one of them opens the exit door while the other one deactivates the trap around the other item on the central platform in the large room. Search the SE passage for Shotgun Ammo and the NE one for the exit, you're back in the monkeyswing room. Run into the S passage and jump to the nearby pillar, then to the central platform and get the second Blue Celt Symbol. Jump down W and place the two items near the W door to open it.

 

Pushable Puzzle

 

Follow the water tunnel after diving into the pool in the next room, climb out and search for a slope to your right. Backflip onto it, then jump and grab the higher ledge. Get up, jump to the S platform and before tackling the next trap drop on the floor level and search for an alcove in the NE corner for a Small Medipack. Climb back up the NW ladder, jump to the central platform with the rotating knife trap and make your way to the NE alcove avoiding the knife and the fire best as possible. Jump over the N platforms and follow the far passage, kill a fire dragon and climb the ladder, shimmy right, backflip with a midair turn and grab the jumpswitch. This raises the block on the nearby pillar, so climb the ladder again, backflip and climb into the higher room. There are two closed doors and two pushables in the middle passage. Push the left one in as far as possible, then turn and pull the right one twice. Follow the passage into the other direction, a door leading back to the previous room opens and you have free access to the passage behind the right block. Push the floor lever here and the exit door N in the previous room opens.

 

First Purple Celt Symbol, Freezing the Pool

 

Enter the next room and kill the next fire dragon here. Spot the ladder at the backside of the E pillar and climb up. Get into the S opening over the pillar and at the end of the corridor slide down the slope at the rightmost point, jump with a right curve and grab the crevice. This room is poisoned so you have to be quick here. Shimmy either left or right around several corners, climb up as soon as possible and jump into the W opening to be safe (you'll need to use a health kit though). Jump onto the slope and backflip onto the higher ledge, back in the larger room use the monkeyswing to get to the top of the central cage. Drop down here and into the hole. Get the first Purple Celt Symbol from the pedestal and a block raises beneath you. Drop down to floor level and use the floor lever to open a door ahead and also release two ice wraiths. Quickly dash forward and dive into the pool to get rid of them. Swim through the hole in the floor and eventually climb out in another room. In the chest you can find a Small Medipack. Climb the left block and from here up until you approach a self-opening door leading back in the large hall. Get down to floor level and run W to the now frozen pool. Jump on it and get to the other side, climb up and head through the door you opened with the floor lever.

 

The Crossbow and Torch Puzzle, Second Purple Celt Symbol

 

Follow the passage and a cutscene shows a wraith appearing you won't get rid when you jump into the pool. But dive in there nonetheless, swim through the hole, search the room for Explosive Crossbow Ammo and dive into the next hole. Swim through the passage and climb out at the end, head to the E cross and the wraith disappears. Shatter the chest near the water hole for Explosive Crossbow Ammo. Head through either E passage into the next room, get the Crossbow and 2x Explosive Crossbow Ammo here (also is a hint on what to do next) and use the explosives to shoot at the shell in the middle of the room. Take a Torch from the other pedestal, light it on the shell and now light the two E wall torches to open the door in their middle. Leave the Torch and head through the next room. Kill a knight and find Uzi Ammo far NE. Return and jump to the SW crevice, shimmy left and climb up. Follow the passage to reach the S balcony, kill another knight and light a flare (or use a weapon) to spot the pushable block one square E of the entrance passage. Push/pull it underneath the hole in the ceiling in the middle of the S wall. Before climbing up you can go for Shotgun Ammo SE. Now climb up and into the higher passage. Shatter the skeleton and open the two chests for 2x Shotgun Ammo. Follow the passage, climb down the ladder and in the next lava room jump into the N opening. Duck and get through the dark crawlspace (there are only right curves). In the next room open the chest for the Shotgun, then follow the exit passage, climb a few blocks and get the second Purple Celt Symbol. Jump over the gap and follow the passage around the corner. Spot a pushable hidden behind some foliage, pull it out and push it to either side. The now revealed alcove contains Secret #2 (11), the Silver Shield. Climb up the blocks, at the end of the tunnel open the chest for a Large Medipack.

 

The Sickle Handle

 

Enter through the open door back in the monkeyswing room visited ages ago, head out S and jump down into the pool. Climb out. There's nothing in the SW chest so place the two items you found on the W receptacles to open the door. Follow the passage, in the pool room use the slopes to get to the higher stage. Run-jump to the exit above the entrance, shatter the skeleton and climb the block row in the next room. Turn around and jump into the higher room. Open the chest for Shotgun Ammo and follow into the larger hall with a protected item. Climb either of the blocks to reach the upper balcony. Shatter the four vases in the W and E wall to create alcoves with fires, when all vases are shot a trapdoor opens in the ceiling in the middle of the room. Climb up here to the topmost stage, jump into the N opening and in the next room drop down and follow the S tunnel. Use the floor lever to fill the pit around the item in the previous hall with water. Return all the way back there, drop into the pool and swim through either of the two passage into the lower room. Swim right at both junctions and use the underwater lever to deactivate the spikes around the item. Return there, climb out and get the Sickle Handle from the pedestal. Climb back up to the second stage using any of the blocks and spot the open door S.

 

The Sickle Blade, Hydra Fight

 

Enter the next room and follow the passage. When you arrive in a room with a pool in the corner, dive in there and follow the long, long underwater passage to get the Gold Shield for Secret #3 (12). Now quickly return all the way to where you can get air again. Climb out and enter the next room. The builder warns you not to save during the next fight. Grab the Sickle Blade from the pedestal and four hydras appear in this room. This method to kill them without much health loss worked for me: Run towards the closed exit door, take out the Shotgun and kill them one by one. Remember they are only vulnerable when they are about to spit fire. Just in case you need one, there is a Large Medipack in the SE corner. After all four hydras are finished off the N door opens so head through the passage and drop into the hole, arriving back on a balcony of the large hall from the start. Jump down into the pool and climb out, head to the door in the middle of the N wall, jump to the S platform. Combine the Sickle Handle and the Sickle Blade and place the combined Golden Sickle on the receptacle to open the door ahead of you. Enter, drop down into the hole and follow the passage to enter the next level.

 

 

Level 5 – The Lost Sword

 

Reward for finding all secrets: Revolver Ammo, Shotgun Ammo, Large Medipack

 

Switching off the Lightning

 

Head to the end of the passage and into the long hallway. Watch the cutscene and afterwards pass the protected pushblock and get to the N part of the room. Shatter the right chest for Shotgun Ammo (nothing to find in the left one). Jump onto the ramp leading to the cellar rooms, kill a new kind of knight here and follow to the S room where you can use a chain to stop the lightning. Head back upstairs, kill two knights and now push or pull the block safely under the opening in the ceiling N, where  you can also see some light shining. Climb on the block and reach the higher room. Notice a closed door S here, but since you can't open it now exit through the N passage and climb the block. Backflip onto the slope and jump onto the higher ledge.

 

First Chain Puzzle

 

Follow the passage passing a closed gate and jump up the uneven floor. In the next room drop on the lower ledge and use the jumpswitch to the left. Jump on the near ledge for a Large Medipack (taking a mental note of the floor lever S protected by fire) and leave this room for now again, slide down the slope and enter the gate you've just opened. Pick up the Large Waterskin. The three chains in this room trigger and antitrigger the flames in the room with the floor lever. All fires vanish if you first pull the middle and then the left chain. Return to the floor lever room, jump to the ledge of the lever, shimmy to the edge where you have to pull it and climb up (there are problems concerning object collision here). Push the lever – you'll most likely fall down to the floor – and climb the N blocks again. Get down again one stage to the previous room where the door opened and enter the new passage. Climb into the next room and pick up the Small Waterskin near the skeleton. Kill the two knights that attack and leave this room.

 

First Libra

 

Head down the ramp into the libra room. Open the chest for Shotgun Ammo. I think the number of rattles E is a hint for the litre amount that has to be put into the left part of the libra, so use the Waterskins until you have four litres in the larger one. Pour it into the shell and the NE door opens. Head through the tunnel, run onto the slope and and jump onto the monkeyswing. Head on and when you hear a gate opening return over the monkeyswing, head back into the libra room and see the S door has opened. It normally would open when you pour a wrong amount of litres into the libra, but the secret passage would be locked then. Enter said passage and find Secret #1 (13), the Bronze Shield, at the end. Return all the way to the monkeyswing, get to the other side and slide down into the next room. Pick up a Small Medipack NW, use the chain and drop through the newly created gap S into the lower room. Find Explosive Crossbow Ammo in the E chest, then head down the W ramp and follow the tunnel.

 

The Wind Room, Blue Triskell

 

In the next room jump to the NW pillar first (I think it triggers something else than the music), then to the S pillar. Climb down the ladder on the W side. On the floor of the room search for a SE block you can climb on. From here you can enter an opening. Follow the passage to a room with the Silver Shield for Secret #2 (14). Return into the dark room and climb back up the ladder. From the pillar jump SW to the broken ledge, then use the slopes and the poles to get to the passage far NW. Follow it and kill a knight in the next room. Search the chest for Wideshot Shotgun Ammo, notice a receptacle N then exit this room for now through the NE crawlspace. Head through the dark passage (use a weapon to make light if you ran out of Flares) and drop into the next room. Kill a knight and use the rope to activate a wind machine in the nearby room. Pick up Uzi Ammo nearby and enter the wind room E. Stand with the back to the E wall and stand-jump, you'll grab the high W ledge after the long jump. Get up and follow the passage, time running over the spike traps in the next room and jump over the gap in the next tunnel. In the next room there is a mud pool; simply run-jump as far E as possible and wade the last metres until Lara comes out of the mud. Take the Blue Triskell with you and return all the way to the room with the receptacle, just after the long and dark crawlspace.

 

Second Chain Puzzle, Underwater Tour

 

Place the Blue Triskell N and the W door opens. Head through the passage and climb up left at the end. At the end of the passage climb up right, then head left at the junction and kill a knight. Pull the left, then the middle chain to open all gates, return to the junction and head left to face the gates. On your way up (avoiding the fire of course) find Explosive Crossbow Ammo in a left alcove. In the next room dive into the water, swim through the hole and through the only possible exit in the cavern. Open the underwater gate to your left, follow the hall and use the underwater lever at the end to open the exit door. Turn and swim through the right passage, a gate back to the previous hall opens, then left, through the opening and finally through the opened gate. Swim for air, then back down and take the Shotgun Ammo with you. Get back to the water hole, then climb out of the wet.

 

Second Libra

 

Follow into another libra room. First of all head into the SE chamber, open the chest for a Large Medipack and dive into the water hole in the left corner of the elseway narrow pool. Follow the passage, climb out at the end and in the next room you can find the Gold ShieldSecret #3 (15). Return all the way to the libra room. You cannot pour water into the libra yet, so grab a Torch W and light it on the SE bowl. Now light the two wall torches near where you found the Torch, and the pit around the libra is filled with sand. You need to pour exactly one litre into the libra, so use the Waterskins until you have exactly one and pour it into the shell. The right N gate opens so head through, climb the ladder and head into the next room. Kill a knight and head into the room.

 

Chess Game, The Sword and Finale

 

Look at the chess game. Your pieces are the Scottish ones (blue with a white cross) ones and the goal is to checkmate the red king (in the NE corner). The red pieces don't move but you can move the blue ones; each time a blue one is placed correctly a flame appears on the E wall. First push the tower near the entrance four times N. Then push the queen (roughly in the middle) four times E. Push the other tower (in the middle of the S edge) six times N. Finally push the bishop (the figure standing nearest to the SE corner) two times N and two times W. The E gates should open now, head in, shoot a knight, climb the blocks, turn and jump to the opposite ledge. You're above the chess room now. Run onto the nearest elevated tiles and jump up to grab a monkeyswing. Get to the far end of it (namely above the N crawlspace) avoiding two fire emitters, drop and grab the ledge. Crawl through the dark tunnel and drop out at the end, but grab the ledge. Shimmy right around several corners until you can climb up, either use the monkeyswing or run-jump down directly to the platform and from here to the far E ledge. Follow the passage and in the next room get the Yellow Triskell from the pedestal. The exit door E opens so head through and down the ramp. In the room with deadly water just jump to the crevice in the right wall, shimmy left and around two corners, then climb the ladder and backflip onto the safe platform. Find the NE passage leading away from this room, jump in and get to its end. Place the Yellow Triskell in the next room and the S door opens. You'll arrive in the room where you can finally pick up Wallace's Sword. The last door has opened S, so head up the ramp and enjoy a final flyby that concludes this levelset.
