Walkthrough by Harry Laudie
You start with a flyby of a circular door and end with young Lara at the end of a valley. Go north to the end, turn to the left and look for a hole in the south wall. Climb into the hole and use the floor lever. You get a cut scene of the closed circular door. Stand at the north-west corner of the hole to pull up and get back into the valley. Go west and look for another hole in the south wall. Avoid the two wild pigs and drop into the hole. Use the floor lever but there is no cut scene this time. Stand at the north-east corner of the hole to pull up and get back into the valley.
Go south and look to the middle valley section for a ladder. Climb to the top and onto a platform. Use the rope to swing to the north hilltop. Climb down the ladder on the north side of a hole. You enter a room and the open circular door is to the east. Go to the south-east corner and pick up a large medipack. Then enter the door and follow the east tunnel to a floor lever. Use the floor lever and get a cut scene of spike balls falling into the water in front of you. Dive into the water and follow the underwater tunnel to some steps. Go to the top of the steps and the door opens for you. A bat flies out to annoy you. Enter the doorway and face a large room with a spike trap floor. Grab the ceiling and follow the tiles with the curved white lines on them. Monkey swing to the west wall, release, and grab a crevice. Shimmy to the right and pull up into an alcove. Use the floor lever and you hear the spikes. Safety drop to the floor and enter the north doorway. Turn around and grab a climbable wall on the south wall above the doorway. Climb up and back flip to a ledge.
Look north to see some ledges over a pool of water. Go forward and get a flyby of the area and where you should go later. First go west and follow the corridor to a water hole. Dive and follow the underwater tunnel to the end. Pull up into a cave. Go west and see a large outdoor area. Approach the opening and get a flyby showing the route to a floor lever. Dive into the water and pull up onto the center section with four statues. Dive into the hole in the middle of the statues. Follow the underwater tunnel and pull up into a tunnel. Follow the tunnel to a room with a deep pit. Do not fall into the pit and there is no way out. There is a crawl space at the south wall but it only leads to a spike trap. Run, jump, and grab the climbable hanging column. Shimmy to the right and around the corners. The animation is strange, but just wait and Lara moves around the corner. Back flip, roll and grab another column. Shimmy to the right again. Back flip, roll and grab a third column. Climb up to the top and enter a tunnel. Follow the tunnel to a floor lever. Use the floor lever and go east. Slide down the slope back to the water pool. Go to the south wall and climb an obvious section of brick wall to shimmy to the left and onto a ledge. Follow the ledge back to the cave and return to the ledges over the water area.
Go east and follow the corridor to a room with ledges. Go around the room and find a wall section with curved white lines. Climb the wall to a ledge and pick up a large medipack on the south side. Then monkey swing to a west column. Then drop onto a ledge by the west wall. Follow the ledges around the room and use a floor lever on the east ledge. The floor is now on fire. Jump to the column by the exit and go around the fires to climb the wall back up to the ledge. This time go to the north side and jump forward to grab an upper ledge. Pull up into the opening and then pull up onto the roof. Go around the roof column to go to the south side. Slide down the roof slope and jump onto the roof of the south building. Go to the south-west corner and climb down the wall. In the area below you can find a large medipack. Climb back to the roof and go to the hole at the south-east. Save the game and drop into the hole. Slide down the slopes over the deadly water to land on a safe platform. Then jump two slopes and enter the tunnel in the south wall. Go to the end and use the floor lever. The gate opens beside you. Enter the gate and dive into the water. Follow the underwater tunnel back to the large water pool. Avoid the three crocodiles and pull up to the north edge.
Go north to the temple. Take either entrance since they both go to the same T-junction. Go to the left and follow a ramp to an open door. Go to the east end and pull up onto a second floor. Go west and enter an open doorway. Use the floor lever and get a flyby of a route to Von Croy in a cell. Return to the T-junction and go straight. Climb down the wall into a hole. At the bottom, follow the tunnel to the east. The graphics disappear a lot in this area. Then go to the south-east and enter the cell. Go to Von Croy and the level ends.
