Level 1: CAVE IN THE PYRENEES

 

Outside area

 

Notice that you already start with the SHOTGUN in your inventory. Slide down the ramp and approach to the closed door to alert a raven. Go to the area to your left and climb the pillar near the left corner, take a running jump to the pillar straight ahead, grab the crack, shimmy to the very right and drop onto another pillar; jump to the ledge and look for an opening with a switch to open the door outside; safety drop to ground floor and go into the cave.

 

First cave area

 

Pick up flares at the bottom of the first ramp and slide down the second one. Continue and shoot a couple of small spiders; notice the high niche with the skeleton in front of you. Take a standing jump from the mound to your left to grab the edge and pick up shotgun shells. In the next passage pick up a small medipack in a niche to your right. Continue and in the room with the closed door shoot a leopard, climb the lowest pillar, take a running jump to the next one and a standing jump to the tallest one; turn left facing the entrance and light a flare, look up and take a standing jump to grab the edge of the opening above, hoist up, turn around and jump to the corridor with the disk shooters, time the disks, jump over the spiked hole and pull the switch to open the door in the room below. To safety get back down, drop/grab the edge, shimmy left, drop/grab the edge of the tallest pillar and drop to ground floor.

 

First secret

 

Enter and turn right, in the dark corner light a flare and look up to discover an opening with SECRET #1: the BRONZE IDOL. Back to the passage, pick up the shotgun shells and in the ramp with the boulder, run and jump in last moment over the spiked hole.

 

Big cave with the deep pit

 

In the room with the deep pit shoot a couple of leopards and look for a movable block in the wall right of the entrance, pull it three times so you can climb the ledge to your left, continue climbing and take a running jump to a lonely ledge at the center of the room. Turn a bit left and spot a, what it appears to be, an empty ledge just above the entrance opening; take a running jump there to discover SECRET #2: the SILVER IDOL. Take a running jump back to that central ledge.

 

Now jump to the ledge with the shotgun ammo, jump back to the central ledge and take a long running jump to grab the ladder. Climb it to the top and notice the closed door to your left. Turn right and jump to the next ledge, jump again to the lower one near the wall and from here it’s easy to climb down to ground floor. Go through the only opening and take a couple of fast standing jumps to save the blades, a running jump to save the spiked pit and a couple of slides with jumps to save the next ones and grab the bottom of the ladder; climb almost to the top and jump back. Advance and turn left in the first junction, shoot a couple of small spiders and pull the wall switch to open the door you saw moments ago at the top of the cave; go to the very end of the corridor and the door to your left opens; you can go there to return to the main cave or simply jump to grab the crack in front of you, drop/grab another crack below and drop to the floor. Anyway go outside and use the ledges near the corner to your left to go back up to top of the cave and to the open door.

 

Large cave with the lake

 

Go through the open door, pick up the shotgun shells near the entrance and climb the blocks to the very top. Near the entrance of the new passage two small spiders will attack; look for a rocky ledge left of the entrance with a skeleton and a large medipack. Continue to a large cave where you'll be welcomed by two leopards. Jump into the water and to the right of the UW opening pick up a small medipack. Continue swimming through the UW passage and surface in a very dark room with a spiked pit.

 

Third secret

 

Jump onto the first floating ledge, light a flare and see that in the corner to your left there aren't spikes; take a long running jump there and climb the opening to discover SECRET #3: the GOLDEN IDOL and 3 X shotgun shells. Go back to the pit and walk to the ledge near the entrance. This time climb/jump from ledge to ledge to the very top of the room.

 

In the next room shoot a yeti and pick up the AUTOMATIC PISTOLS and ammo for that pistols. Continue to an opening overlooking the large cave you've visited moments ago. As usual, take running jumps from ledge to ledge until you reach the high ones in the other side; shoot a raven and pick up shotgun shells.

 

Collapsible tiles room

 

In the next room with the spiked pit and breakable tiles, take a running jump to the first one, a second running jump without stop to the next and a last running jump to grab the edge of the sloped pillar to your left; hoist up, slide and jump in last moment to grab the edge of the safe ledge ahead.

 

Movable blocks puzzle

 

In the next room shoot a couple of leopards, climb the block to the left of the closed door and jump to the upper level. In this small maze you'll find a couple of movable blocks; also notice a couple of niches in the wall opposite the entrance with a different texture in the wall inside. Place the blocks into the niches and the door in the room below opens.

 

Passages with traps

 

Now comes a series of runs over breakable tiles, garnished with moving spiked walls and horizontal moving blades. Run over the first tiles, turn right and time standing jumps over the blades, quickly turn left and run to the opening in the corner; finally run and jump to avoid the last spiked walls and the trapdoor in the floor will open giving you access to the next level.

 

 

Level 2: DEEP IN THE CAVE

 

First lake

 

Slide down the ramp and jump into the water, swim to your right and climb the small ledge in the corner for harpoons. Now climb the wider ledge with the plant, go into the opening, shoot a couple of small spiders and pick up the harpoon gun and 3 X harpoons. Go back to the lake and this time swim through the UW passage. Soon you'll be attacked by two barracudas so go back to ground floor and shoot them from a safe position. To the right of the UW passage entrance there is an opening with shotgun shells.

 

Fourth secret

 

Soon you'll find and UW corridor with openings left and right; swim through the opening to your right to pick up harpoons (there’s an air hole above). Back to the main corridor turn right (there is nothing in the other opening except another air hole) and shoot a barracuda; go back for air if needed and continue swimming until you find a T junction; from here, take the left branch to pick up more harpoons and go back to the air holes. Swim back to the T junction and if you swim always to your right when possible you'll find an UW crawlspace with SECRET #4: the BRONZE IDOL. Go back to the air holes. Swim back to the T junction and take again the right branch, but this time swim always to your left to find a small lake with a frozen surface; Lara will look up to a key, but it's inaccessible from here 'cause the icy surface of the waters.

 

The Cavern Key

 

In this lake there are also two UW openings left and right; take the left one first and in this new lake you can surface and replenish your lungs. Shoot the barracuda and pick up the harpoons near the corner. Now climb out of the water and in the opening above the rocky ledge you'll find shotgun shells. From that ledge, take a running jump to the ladder and continue to a room where you'll fight with a couple of yetis; pick up the automatic pistols ammo in a corner and continue through the only possible way till the frozen lake to finally pick up the CAVERN KEY. On the tallest block in the corner there is a small medipack.

 

Using the cavern key

 

Now go back to the previous lake and to the lake with the frozen surface, take the other UW passage this time and continue swimming straight ahead ignoring the opening to your left until you find an apparently empty UW room with a barracuda; shoot the fish and look for an UW lever in a corner; pull it to open a trapdoor somewhere. Back to the UW corridor swim now through the opening (this time to your right) you ignored before and to the hole in the ceiling near the closed door to find the open trapdoor. Go out of the water, shoot a couple of small spiders and use the key to open that UW door.

 

First cave with a deep pit

 

Swim back there and soon you'll find another cave with some ledges and a long ladder; climb it to the top and in the next cave with the deep pit shoot a yeti. Approach to the abyss and look to your right: there is a small slope attached to the wall near the small pillar; take a standing jump there and climb the pillar from the other side. Now comes a series of running jumps from pillar to pillar to reach the other side of the room, but try to hoist up from the very corners at the top of the snowy pillars 'cause the falling icicles. From the second pillar you can take a running jump to your left to get automatic pistols ammo. The top of the last pillar is sloped so slide and jump to the final safe ledge.

 

Fifth secret

 

In the small corridor there's an opening to your left; run off the edge with grab to land onto a small niche in the rocky wall, continue descending to the very bottom (you'll find a ladder at the end) to find SECRET #5: the SILVER IDOL. Go back up the way you came.

 

Second and third caves with deep pits

 

Again another part of the caves with a deep pit; jump to the slope to your left, slide/jump to the next slope and slide/jump to grab a crack in the wall; shimmy left to the first ladder, continue shimmying to the second one and climb a few steps, finally take a back flip with twist to grab the edge of the ledge at your back; hoist up and take a running jump to the ledge at the other side of the pit. In the next area shoot a couple of yetis, notice a closed door to your left and continue to another spiked pit. As you did earlier, jump to the slope to your left, slide/jump to the next slope and slide/jump to grab the edge of the safe ledge and take a last running jump to the exit. In the corridor, roll and run back to the entrance when the rolling ball comes to you and in the next room shoot several small spiders, pick up the automatic pistols ammo and pull the wall switch to open the door you saw before. Climb the opening in the ceiling near the corner and continue to the previous room with the open door.

 

The Temple Entrance Key

 

Use the zip line and, from the ledge you land take a running jump to the snowy pillar to your right, another running jump to the next one and a third jump to the ledge attached to the wall. From here jump to the next pillar, drop from the other side, take a running jump to the next pillar and a last running jump to the ledge with the TEMPLE ENTRANCE KEY. Go all the way back to the ledge at the end of the zip line the way you came.

 

Up to the wooden bridge

 

Now drop from the opposite side to a ledge below, take a running jump to the pillar with the sloped top, slide/jump to grab the edge of the next pillar, hoist up, jump to grab the crack in the wall, shimmy left until you can stand up, take a diagonal jump to the next ledge and find an opening to your right.

 

Detour for a juicy secret: don't go through the opening yet, continue to the end of the ledge, drop onto the lower ledge and take a tricky running jump with a hard right curve to land onto the ledge in the corner (no grab); from here a couple of more running jumps and SECRET #6 is yours: the GOLDEN IDOL, the uzis and 3 X uzi clips. Go back to the ledge with the opening the way you came.

 

Climb up the ladder and use the opening to your right to avoid the first rolling ball, in the following ramp there's another opening to your right to help you avoid the second rolling ball; near the top of the ramp climb the opening to your left and you'll find yourself at the top of the cave again. Cross the wooden bridge and use the key to open the door and access to the temple.

 

 

Level 3: THE LOST TEMPLE

 

Opening the first door

 

Advance and pick up flares on a ledge to your right. Continue through the next corridor and from the breakable tiles take a running jump to the slope ahead, slide/jump to another breakable tile and move quickly to the safe ledge, take a standing jump around the corner and in the next room kill a leopard and pull a wall switch to open the door you saw moments ago. Continue climbing some blocks and pull another wall switch at the end to open the trapdoor and find yourself back near the beginning.

 

Wheels and blades

 

Go through the open door and time the rotating wheels in the narrow corridor; for the blades, the best way I found was approach all what you can to the tip and take a sidejump when the blade is going to shrink. In the next room there is only a closed door, but you can see a high wall switch and a suspicious wall panel near the entrance; it's a movable block so you know what to do.

 

Room with the red carpet and green keyhole

 

In the next room with the red carpet and the green keyhole shoot a thug and a dog, pick up shotgun shells in the corner and go through the corridor they came from. In this new room shoot the thug in the high ledge and use the block to your right to get up there. Continue to the next room, shoot another thug and pick up the automatic pistols ammo he drops. Climb the blocks near the entrance an take some jumps from pillar to pillar in an anticlockwise direction until you reach the ladder; climb it, jump back and a couple of jumps will take you to the high ledge with the corridor. Shoot a doberman in that corridor and light a flare in the dark small room to discover a wall switch in the corner over the block. Pull it to open a door in the room with the red carpet and go back there the way you came (easy).

 

Seventh secret

 

Advance and shoot a new thug; as usual, climb the blocks and take some jumps from pillar to pillar to reach the high gray ledges; time several teeth doors in the next corridor and find yourself at the top of the room with the red carpet. Jump some ledges to a tall pillar so you can jump to a high opening in the opposite side of the room. But don't jump there yet; turn around and see a ladder in the pillar at your back, take a long running jump to grab it, climb and jump back to get SECRET #7: the BRONZE IDOL. A trapdoor opens so you can drop to the tall pillar and this time take a standing jump to the high opening.

 

First Temple Key

 

Jump over the spiked holes and in the next room climb the block to your left, grab the crack and shimmy to the left to the taller block; from here jump to the roof of the jail and use the wall switch to open a trapdoor at your back. Climb down the ladder and continue to kill a couple of leopards, pick up automatic pistols ammo and finally the TEMPLE KEY. Go back to the bottom of the room with the red carpet the way you came (you can safety drop from one of the lower ledges once you reach the top).

 

Swinging spiked bags passage

 

Use the key and time some swinging spiked bags with standing and running jumps until you reach a small block in a corner; now comes a running jump to the small slope, slide/jump to the breakable tile and quickly sidejump left to the safe ledge. Take a standing jump to the next block timing the last spiked bag and a last running jump to grab the bottom of the ladder, climb and jump back to a high ledge. Jump to the next one timing another spiked bag and take a standing jump to grab the edge of the first slope, shimmy to the left, hoist up/slide/jump to the next slope and quickly jump without slide so you land onto the left edge of the last slope, slide and jump with a left curve to the safe ledge.

 

Rolling wheels room

 

Now some dangerous running jumps come. What I did was, when the first wheel rolls to the left, take a running jump to the left side trying to land near the closest edge, without stop another running jump to the next ledge, still without stop a third running jump to the ledge with the last wheel and, if all was right you should land very near the farthest edge this time so you can take a single standing jump now to grab the edge of the safe ledge at the back of the room. Sure that there's an easier (intended) way to do it using the breakable tile, but that way worked for me and I never used it.

 

The bottom of the main room

 

At the end of the next corridor you'll find a room with another red carpet, and several thugs and dogs will come to receive; draw a heavy weapon to let them know who's in charge here. Once the calm is restored pick up the automatic pistols ammo one of the thugs dropped and go to the room they came from to pick up more automatic pistols ammo and a much needed large medipack. Now go to the broken ramp, drop and notice the movable block in the left wall; push it several times to discover a wall switch which opens the door in the previous room. Go back there and time three teeth doors.

 

Movable blocks puzzle

 

In this room your goal is to move the block in the high level so you can reach the high ledge opposite the entrance. No compass in this game so I'll try to explain the tasks the best I can. There is a block to the left of the entrance so move it close to the blocks one above another and with the nearby block in the lower level form a row of three blocks so you can drag the block in the upper level twice outside the niche. Now you still dispose of two free blocks in lower level so move them forming another row of three blocks, this time perpendicular to the previous row so you can move the block in the upper level once to the corner. Now you only have to move the two free blocks in ground floor against the wall with the high ledge forming again a row of three blocks so you can move the block in the upper level once against the high ledge, climb it and climb that ledge.

 

Top of the room with movable blocks

 

From here turn around and take a running jump to the next ledge, another running jump to the ledge with the closed door, a standing jump to the pillar with the sloped top (you can stand up there), a running jump to the pillar in the corner, grab the crack and shimmy to the right, hoist up, climb the next ledge and follow to a wall switch to open the door you saw moments ago. Make your way to go back to that door and save your game before you take a running jump over the first spiked pit, slide and jump over the second one.

 

Top of the main room

 

Now you're at the top of the room with the red carpet. From now on, I will refer to this area as the main room. From the entrance, turn right and advance to see a closed door with two keyholes. Also notice there are two passages left and right flanked by statues.

 

Left route for the first key

 

Let's go to the left one first. Slide down the short slope and quickly jump to the ledge before being toasted; continue and do the same trying to jump in the very last moment sliding next to a wall. In the room with breakable tiles, take a running jump to grab the edge of the first one, hoist up and take a sidejump to the block on your left; now from the edge take a standing jump to grab the edge of the next tile, hoist up and take a running jump to the safe ledge ahead.

 

Room with deadly red waters

 

In the room with the deadly red waters jump to the nearby block, a running jump to grab the crack in the wall, shimmy right, drop onto the slope, slide, jump to the breakable tile and run to the safe block in the corner. Now a running jump to the higher pillar, a couple of more running jumps timing the swinging spiked bags, a running jump to the breakable tiles and without stop a last running jump with a left curve to the safe ledge in the corner.

 

Timed trapdoors

 

I think you know what to do in this new room: pull the timed switch and use the raised trapdoors to reach the other side. What I did was take a couple of jumps back after pulling the switch so I was able to take the first three running jumps without stop; try to grab the edge of the third trapdoor on the right side, hoist up, quickly a step forward, a jump to the slope, slide and jump to the last timed trapdoor. Not hard this time too.

 

Large room with lethal pillars

 

In the next dark room with fiery floor, look to the ceiling to see that some faces got red eyes; the pillars under that faces are lethal so use only the pillars/ledges with faces above without red eyes to cross to the other side. When you are on the pillar near the ladder (still not in the wide ledge in front of the ladder, but on the last pillar in the pit) turn right and light a flare, throw it towards the corner to the right of the ladder to discover an opening, take a running jump there to get SECRET #8: the SILVER IDOL and 3 X automatic pistols ammo. Back to the pit notice that at the bottom of the pillar you jumped from there is a safe gray tile; take a running jump there, climb the pillar and a last running jump to the wide ledge in front of the ladder.

 

First Main Chamber Key

 

I already warned you about the faces with red eyes, didn’t I? LOL!!! Go to the opening to your left to get the first MAIN CHAMBER KEY and pull a switch to open the trapdoor at the top of the ladder; go outside, climb the ladder and shoot a leopard, pick up automatic pistols ammo and climb down the next ladder to find yourself back in the main room with the balconies.

 

Right route for the second key

 

Now it’s time to look for the second key we need so take the only passage you didn’t explore (facing the door with two keyholes, the right corridor). Time the jumps to save the swinging spiked bags and in the next room with a closed door shoot a thug (take notice of this closed door for later); continue and in the next corridor time the teeth doors taking running jumps taking into account the breakable tiles in the floor too.

 

Movable blocks puzzle

 

In the next room with the ladder explore the room to find three marked gray tiles: one of them left from the entrance, another one a bit further in the wall left from the entrance and the last one in a high niche right from the entrance. What you need to do is place three movable blocks onto those tiles to open the door at the top of the ladder. Left from the entrance there is already a movable block near the corner; you can pull it out of the wall and place it in the nearby opening (1/3). Right from the entrance there is another single block to move and a bit further many movable blocks in the corner. First of all, use that single block and the remaining movable blocks in ground floor to create a bridge so the high block in second level can be moved all the way to the gray marked tile to the right from the entrance (2/3). Once that block is placed in its correct position, move one of the movable blocks from the bridge to the niche in the opposite wall (3/3). The door at the top of the ladder opens.

 

Opening a door in the main room

 

Climb the ladder and in the next room you'll find another room with fiery floor and a couple of moving wheels (notice the closed door to your right). Make your way to time the moving wheels (not difficult), reach the openings and pull two wall switches to open the door; take a running jump there and pull a third wall switch to see a door opening somewhere (in the area with the balconies). Go back to the room with the ladder, to the room with the closed door, time the swinging spiked bags again and when you're in the room with the fences, turn left, run a bit and go right to the door opposite the entrance of this area.

 

Room with a deep pit

 

Follow the only possible path until you reach a room where you'll fight with a dog and a thug. Continue to another room with a deep pit. Take a running jump to the floating ledge in front of you, turn right and jump to the crack in the wall, shimmy left to the next ledge, take another running jump to the ledge in the opposite wall and a last running jump with grab to the exit opening. At the end of the corridor you'll find a breakable tile and a ladder in another room with a deep pit.

 

Ladders and blades

 

Run onto the breakable tile and take a running jump to grab the ladder; now you’ll need to approach to the blade (about three steps down) and take a backflip with twist (try to do it from the very right side) to grab the ladder at your back; do this several times until you eventually reach the top of the last ladder and advance through a corridor with a closed door to your left.

 

Big room with timed trapdoors

 

In the next large room with the deep pit there’s a timed sequence; pull the wall switch, turn right and run and jump all around the perimeter of the room before the trapdoors open. Not very difficult at all, the first three jumps can be done without stop and for the next ones try to land near the edge opposite the next trapdoor so you don’t need taking steps back or adjust the movements losing time. Once you’ve got it, shoot the leopard in the next room, climb the block to your left and take a running jump to the high ledge to the right of the entrance. Pull both switches; one of them opens the door in the corridor near the beginning of the timed sequence (your next goal) and the other one opens a door somewhere (in a room you’ve already visited, perhaps you can see a dead guy in the camera shot).

 

Finding the far open door

 

Go back to the room with the deep pit and trapdoors, turn left and take a long running jump to the block near the corner and from here another running jump to the ledge with the switch. Go inside the corridor to locate the first open door to your right, enter and follow the long way back to the main room with the balconies and the door with two keyholes (not difficult). Once there, approach to that closed door with two keyholes and take the right passage again, time the jumps to avoid the swinging spiked bags again and in the next room is the open door you were looking for.

 

Underwater business

 

Jump into the water hole and prepare the harpoon gun to shoot a nasty barracuda; pick up harpoons in a niche and swim through the opening in the opposite wall near the floor, pull the UW lever and swim back to the previous room to find an open trapdoor in the ceiling; continue swimming and shoot another barracuda, stand up in the ledge with shallow waters, jump/grab the edge of the slope, hoist up and jump back and forth to grab the edge of the higher ledge, hoist up, turn around and take a running jump to the next ledge, from here a last diagonal running jump to the high niche with the switch. Pull it to open a door in the previous room, turn around, jump to the slope to your left, slide/grab the edge and drop into deeper waters; swim back to the first UW room and locate the open door.

 

Big spiders lair

 

Surface, pick up the flares and follow the dark passage to a wider room where a giant spider attacks, a bit further shoot two more giant spiders and pick up uzi clips, further on jump over several pits and arrive to the nest of the spiders, where three giant spiders come to welcome you. There is a small medipack in a niche opposite the entrance. From the entrance, light a flare and follow the wall to your left until you find a high block you can climb (a bit sloped at its top), climb it from the right side and jump to the next ledge, from here a long running jump straight ahead to grab the crack in the wall and shimmy all the way to the left to a ledge you can stand up. Turn around and see the white nest of the spiders. Light a flare and take a diagonal running jump to an opening in the wall to your right and find SECRET #9: the GOLDEN IDOL.

 

Second Main Chamber Key

 

Jump back to the ledge you came from, drop/grab the edge, shimmy all the way to the very right side of the wall, drop onto the ledge below and safety drop to ground floor. Climb again the high block you climbed before to go up to the secret, jump to the next ledge but this time turn around and jump to a higher ledge; from here you can take running jumps from ledge to ledge in a clockwise direction until you find an opening to your left; inside, you’ll find uzi clips and a wall switch which opens another door in the main UW room so go all the long way back there the way you came. Swim there and pick up the second MAIN CHAMBER KEY in a small room. Now make your way to go back to the main room with the balconies.

 

The Sapphire Seraph

 

Use the keys to open the door and run up the stairs. In the antechamber pick up a large medipack, uzi clips, shotgun shells and automatic pistols ammo. You can imagine what awaits: a hard fight in the next room with the Boss and a couple of thugs. Once they are defeated, pick up the RELIC CHAMBER KEY the boss dropped; use it to open the next door and pick up a BLUE SERAPH to finish this amazing adventure.
