CREATE A CLASSIC – THE RUSSIAN BASE.

More complete walkthrough by G&D Productions, revised once more (Jun 30-‘20/July 21-‘21) after the level’s second update and with help from the builder.

 

Lara is inside and dark container, light a flare and open the doors. On top of the containers at the E wall are Uzi clips. Turn back and pick up Flares near the closed garage door (NW). Leave the loading dock SW into the Main Corridor; go left up the stairs, in the office take a left around at the window is a file cabinet with Uzi clips. Go through to the room S and shoot a baddy, the left hand shelf W has Shotgun ammo (from now on you only need to check the shelves with rubble underneath, the only ones holding more goodies). Push the button left of the shelves to open a door* to a loading dock. Go back down the stairs to the Main Corridor, left and then right into a passage a guard dog will come out.

 

The Silver Key.

When he’s silenced, go back in and right to where that door* opened to the loading dock, 3 Baddies here, use some tactics to shoot them one by one, one left Uzi clips. Open the small door to the room SW and go through to the storage, the shelves right (with the rubble, remember?) have a Medipack, the others are empty. In the back corner (NW) are steel shelves, pull the right hand one out twice, push the other one left into an alcove (W) so you can get into the passage behind it, turn around and grab up into a crawlspace. Push the button to open a grate in the loading dock, hidden inside a crack in the wall.

Go back down there and from a wooden crate NE you can shoot a grate in the dark NE corner, jump into that opening. Turn around and jump out right to grab the crack, go left to where the crack is wide enough to pull up through and shoot a whole bunch of rats in there.

Shoot all the crates right there and on the left (W), collecting Flares, Uzi clips, Small medipack and Shotgun ammo. Shoot the grate (S) facing the loading dock again, stand and run jump out right to grab the ceiling with the neon lights. Go to the far right hand corner where you can drop and grab the walkway. Open the small door at the other end and in the room is a file cabinet with the Silver Key. Go down the steps left of it for some Uzi clips and return to the loading dock. Safety drop down and leave the loading dock SE; keep left (E), back to the Main Corridor.

 

The Office Card.

Take a right, shoot the crate at the end of the corridor and pick up the Uzi clips under it, turn back and look up for a hatch in the ceiling of the doorway on the left. Open it, turn around and grab up into the duct, go to the intersection and right, down and pick up the Flares. Turn back, up and straight to the end and left to get a small medipack. Turn back and at the end of the duct to a grate in the floor, open it and get down into the tire storage. Pick up Uzi clips and go through the small door S. If you go down the ramp to the overhead door, you can hear some Russians talking about Lara. Back up and left on the shelves is a small medipack. Go W, and left of the big gate you can push a small button to open it, connecting to the Main Corridor. On the right of the now open gate are two crates, pull the left one out and aside so it is under the ceiling grate, open that, get up into the duct (we came from just before) and turn around, you can now jump E and grab the crawlspace. Get to the end and turn around to use the jump lever there, a door opens below. Drop out of the crawlspace and enter the open door S, shoot the baddy, pick up the Uzi clips he dropped and claim the Office Card, it’s on the desk. Push the button next to the door to open the closed overhead door down at the ramp.

Large Work Area: Service Area, Big Storage.

Save, exit the room then right, down E to the new area with 4 tall columns in the middle (Service area). Prepare for some combat, shoot 4 baddies with a bit of tactics and one will drop Shotgun ammo.
Go left into the next area (N) and left on the crates are some boxes you can shoot for Flares and a Medipack. Now go back into the Service Area and S to notice the Uzis through a grating on the right of the entrance to the Big Storage, to remember their location.
Step into the new area with containers, turn immediately right and loop around to pick up the Uzis.

There are more baddies than I could count, shoot them as they appear (be careful with the one on the walkway W and the one high up on the containers. You can collect 3 Uzi clips around: one is on a white container on the N side (just below the position of one of the shooting baddies), another one is on a red container on the SE corner of the whole storage, and another one is on a white container of the central block.
On the containers on the E side you can get a Medipack. To reach it, climb on the containers of the W side (in the middle) and go towards the opposite side E, jumping the gaps. From this location, you can reach the highest containers tower (red ones at the top) and you can reach a large white container if you jump diagonally NW. Climb down on some lower containers near the entrance of the storage to collect a small medipack.
On the walkway W, from which the baddy was shooting you, you can get Flares and a Medipack inside the wooden crates.
To reach this balcony, climb onto the highest wooden crate next to that balcony and jump diagonally to grab the ledge with the missing fence.

At the moment you can complete 4 tasks here:

(Task 1): first switch for the broken door.

From the entrance, go left to the NE corner, climb on a red container next to a forklift and spot a shootable grid in the wall (N). Run jump grab to get in there and flip a switch (#1) for a door on the walkway next to a Crane, surrounded by security barriers and a broken button. In the doorway W you can find Uzi clips, safety drop out of here.

 (Task 2): opening the tubes room area

Get out of the workshop, right over the tracks, and spot a switch on the first door on the left under a yellow notice with a black drop. Open it, go inside up the stairs and kill a dog and a baddy. Go left, straight to get a Medipack on a small container, and use a switch next to the wooden crate (W). You'll enter in a room displaying a fuel stream.

Go back again all through this area, reaching again the Big Storage with containers. We opened this area just to provide a shortcut for later.

(Task 3): Lowering Crane 1, Battery Part 1.

Coming back into the Storage, go straight E and right to the tracks SE, flip the switch on the right hand wall and climb up the ladder next to the switch to where you just opened the grate. In this Control room you have to shoot a baddy and in the back is a button lowering Crane 1. Before you leave, check the wooden drawers for Uzi clips. 

To reach the crane: go down the ladder and go left around the corners to the SW. Get on top of the high stack of crates, jump and grab the sloped ledge S next to the crane, shimmy right and back flip with roll to grab the cable of the Crane, then turn left and back flip roll to grab the walkway W. Shimmy to right, climb up above the door below and shoot the grates. Inside go to the right at the crossing, and pick up Battery Part 1 on your left and Uzi clips on your right. Proceed through the small door N, follow the stairs and push the empty furniture away on the left or on the right: this will open the shortcut for the courtyard later. Turn back and you'll be right where the baddy was shooting from the top walkway. If you didn’t go up here yet, you can now grab the Flares and a Medipack inside the wooden crates.

(Task 4): The Grenade Gun.

Route from the walkway: Go down the crates here and get to the high red containers in the middle of the Storage.

Route from the entrance of the Big Storage: stay on the right and climb on the highest group of containers on that side, jump towards the central stacks, onto the red ones.

Lara will look towards a moveable crate you can pull and then push off the E end, drop down onto that crate and push the red double doors, get the Grenade Gun, empty. Get down to the floor.

 

Using the Silver Key, Communications Center.

From the big storage, go back to the Service Area (N) and back up the ramp W straight to the initial corridor, then loop left to find a closed door and use the Silver Key there.

Go up the stairs, shoot a dog and go up first right to use the Office Card on the door, inside that communications center are two Baddies, one drops Uzi clips. To the left of the entrance door there are Flares and you can open the door SE with the switch next to it.

Enter the storage and remember only the shelves with rubble underneath have something worthwhile. So go around to collect 2x Uzi clips and a small medipack. On the (N) wall there is a grate in the floor of the niche, open it and go down to push a button opening a grate** in the Main Corridor. Notice the closed metal door.

 

Battery Part 2 and Workshop Key.

Climb back up to the storage, go left around to the office and out N to the stairs, down left to the Main Corridor. On the left (SW) enter the newly opened grate**, shoot the grid on the left (E), kill a rat, collect Shotgun ammo and push a button to open that metal door on the other side of the fallen pipes. Duck and you can see it, it's reachable through the storage we just came from (don't go yet, the electricity would be lethal for now!).

Go back out of this duct and left in the corridor and on the left is a switch to open a door that leads to a snowy courtyard. Go left and hop over the crates to get into the corner, as that barrel is too hot. Pull the drunk guy by his head and hop over his body to get the Workshop Key. Ignore the snowy ladder for now.

Go to the gate (W) and collect a Medipack. Now open the door (SE) with its switch (S wall), inside go left and climb that white unit, then climb the ladder wall. Up there, run around through the passage, collect a Uzi clips in front of a fake door and shoot a grate (NW) that brings you behind the generator with the missing fuse. Here you'll collect the Battery Part 2. Go back again to the courtyard and climb the snowy ladder (E) to reach a balcony. Collect the Uzi clips right behind you and take a running jump to grab the other balcony (S), climb up and push the button some meters away, to open a shortcut for the big storage. If you moved away the pushable furniture before, you can benefit from this shortcut, else, you have to backtrack: climb down the balconies again and come back in the building from the initial door (N), forward then right, towards the wooden crates then down the ramp to the Service Area.

• If you have backtracked to the Service Area with the 4 high columns, enter the big storage (NW) and proceed all straight through the containers until you reach the rails. Run on them to wake up a dog, clear it then use the Workshop Key on the left, near the end of the rails.

• If you used the shortcut from the courtyard balcony, go forward to see the big storage again, climb down diagonally from the broken fence facing the storage and climb down the containers. Facing S, run all straight through the containers until you reach the rails. Run on them to wake up a dog, clear it then use the Workshop Key on the left, near the end of the rails.

On the shelves in front and a bit right of you is Shotgun ammo, in the inspection pit behind you are Flares and on a table with some bottles there are Uzi clips (SE). Next to the closed cabinet W there is a switch opening a door back in the service area**.

 

The Yellow Tanks room - Locker Room Key.

Leave the Storage NW, go through to the Service area (the area with the 4 columns in the center) and N to the door** surrounded by yellow tanks, that opened with the switch in the workshop. Shoot the baddies and pick up Shotgun ammo. Left, in the back is a door you can open, go in and shoot the baddy on the left behind the counter, hop in there to pick up his Locker Room Key. (One of the crates N opens with crowbar we'll find later). Left in the back is another baddy, he leaves Uzi clips.
Backtrack to the room with the yellow tanks (E) and reach the Service Area (S). Take a right up to the ramp then loop around on the left to face the stairs where you used the Silver Key. Follow them to the top intersection.

 

Living area 1: Mess hall, Kitchen, Cellar

You'll see 3 similar closed doors on your 3 sides. For now, the only accessible one is on your left (N), go there and open it. Run through the tables and face 4 baddies (one spawns behind you), maybe with your brand new Uzis and hiding with Duck behind the tables if necessary. Try at all cost to face them one by one.

Go to the other end of the mess hall, left around and turning back, Lara looks at some pipes and a jump lever up left.

Jump over the small balustrade and take a jump up to use the jump lever, a door* in the kitchen opens up (it's visible from your position).

Go back to where you came in (S) and left to go through a small door into the kitchen, here you can hear the cook joking about Lara. Left around and shoot the fool.

Grab a small medipack from the cabinet around the corner and go back where you entered, open the door next to the fridge (S) and enter the cellar. Just check the shelves with cans on them (a cook shows up), for Uzi clips, Shotgun ammo, and a small medipack. Some rats join the fun too while you are checking the shelves… For the hole in the ceiling she looks at, we need a Gun with Laser Sight, to shoot a red box. Some rats show up too.

Go back to the stoves with blue fire NE. Shoot that grate in the corner and run jump up NE to grab the grate above the stoves so you can get into that opening. (Be quick, Lara will lose health while shimmying) If you're lined up right, you can just run jump (no Action) over the fires without grabbing the grate. Shoot the other grate too if it didn’t break yet and in the next part of the kitchen is that door* you opened, NW.

Go into the storage and shoot another cook to get his Personal Card. Two of the shelves (with the cans) have Uzi clips and Shotgun ammo. Go out and SW there is a switch opening the door to connect this kitchen to the mess hall.

 

Living area 2: Dormitories, Toilets, Locker room and a Lasersight.

Get out of the kitchen through the door SW (opens with the switch), left to the stairs, now you can open that door left with the Personal Card. Go into the corridor and open doors:
- Small door right leads to an infirmary, where you can get a small and a large Medipack in the 2 cabinets in there. (You will notice also a cabinet with a padlock: you cannot open those).
- Small door left leads to the toilets, shoot rats. Go through the second small door, collect Uzi clips in the cabinet on the right, and open the third toilet to collect Shotgun ammo (Lara will moan for the stink). From this room, you can see the Locker Room where you can use the Key you found earlier. Proceed inside, kill the baddy, enter in the area with the benches forward and grab the Shotgun from the central cabinet. Go back a bit and on your left (E) are the showers. Go right and open the second shower door for Shotgun ammo and behind the third shower door you can pull that handle off the wall to use as a Crowbar. You can spot cracks on the wall that indicate which one can be pulled out.

Go back to the Dormitories (out S and left), the second small door left, shoot 2 baddies and check the drawers, collecting Uzi clips and a small medipack. Go between the bunk beds, use the Crowbar on the grate in the wall. Shoot the bottles and grab the Laser Sight hidden between them. Leave the room and go back to the stairs.
- Next small door on the right leads to a dormitory room; shoot a baddy that spawns from the left (he drops Uzi clips) and collect a Medipack in one of the bunks in the back.                                                                                          
- Last small door E, leads to another dormitory room; collect the Revolver ammo from the bunk bed.

 

Yellow tanks storage, with a Crowbar this time.

Go down the stairs back to the Main Corridor, loop around right and head E down the ramp to the Service area, to the left (N) into the storage with the yellow cylinders, left in the back where you opened the door before (and got the Locker room key). Now you can open that wooden crate NE, inside open the back of the crate to get to the Iron Key. Get out; go back out to the Service area.

Detour for a Secret: If you want you can now travel back to the Main Corridor and right to the end to the first storage where we started, in the SE corner is another crate you can now open and get Secret#1, a Golden Rose from it.

Large Storage, use the Iron Key  -  Basement 1

Return to the Big Storage, behind that high stack of crates W are doors you can open with the Iron Key; go down the ramps and shoot the resistance (3 baddies, 1 dog). Enter the small room left (S) and shoot the wooden crate to pick some Flares. Go back, open the door left (W) with the switch next to it, go in and get a Medipack from the top of the containers left. In the right hand corner next to the freezer doors is a crate, climb on and jump up to grab and open the ceiling grate. Climb the left wall into a duct. Inside, you can go to the right to see a closed area under a trapdoor (you will land here again from that trapdoor), but now go left (E) and then right, until you reach a grid. Shoot it, pick Uzi clips on the containers in front-right of you, and climb up the ladder E. Duck and shoot the grates, look for a red button on the right and press it. A camera will show your position and the door that you opened. Duck, crawl out and safety, right in front of that open door.

Big Storage, Basement 2, Electric Maintenance Key.

Head down the ramps taking out resistance, take a right to the area below the service area (showing a closed garage). There is more resistance a bit further on, go up E and find the Electric Maintenance Key on the tool board on the wall at the left end of that little room. Between the bottles on the wooden crate there are Uzi clips. Go out, straight find a switch next to the big orange tanks. It will open a trapdoor above your head. Turn left, grab up and climb up, face 2 dogs and go right. Left, at the end on the right there are Uzi clips and around the corner is a small button to open the nearby gate. On the opposite wall of the button there is a grate, shoot it and enter, left, use the switch to open a white grate in the service area.

Service area - Second switch for the broken door.

Out of this duct, go right into the gate you just opened where the jeep is. You are back in the Service area. Go to the opposite side, look up at the wall (E). That white grid is now open. Go to the left side of that wall, you can climb the fence, climb up and left as far as you can, drop onto the corner of a slope and immediately jump to grab the monkey climb, shimmy forward and drop to grab the ventilation unit. Climb right around into the open grate, shoot the rats. Follow into a dark room and climb up the ladder in front of you, follow the duct (be careful! Don't touch the pipes as they are too hot!) and climb up again. In this room, inside the crates you can get 2x Shotgun ammo, Uzi clips, and Flares. Use the switch near the Flares to open that door on the NE walkway close to Crane 2, surrounded by security barriers. From the longer grate you can see also what's inside that door. Go back through the duct, down the ladders to the switch and out W to the Service area. Safety drop down.

Using the Maintenance key, turn off the Power.

From the Service area, go back up to the ramp NW to the Main Corridor, loop around left, up the first stairs and go up right. This is the Office where you used the Office Card. In the left corner (NE) there is a darker area with an orange notice with a thunderbolt icon, light a Flare and look for a keyhole on the wall (N). Use that E-Maintenance Key there, you’ll hear a trapdoor and that is under the desk behind you. It is under the middle of the desk, duck and crawl in and climb down the ladder there, use the switch to turn off the power and the grates will open up.

Get the Fuse and use the Fuse, Office Key.  

Enter the room that was electrified before and pry the Fuse out of the transformer, turn back, exit the room, left and climb up the ladder to the storage, take a right and open the small door W, left and place the Fuse in the transformer there, a door opens in Basement 1, activating swinging traps. You'll hear a trapdoor opening, that's just behind you. Use it as shortcut to reach the new area. Jump down, keep left and climb down next to the fridges. Exit on the left, and to the left again you'll see the open orange door N.

Stand at the slope, stay on the right and time the first swinging thing when it starts moving to the left. If you do it right the second one will not harm you. Stand very close to the next set and just run through both when the first moves away.

Through the doors N and go left, then right, into the small door. Pick up Uzi clips from the desk and push the button on the right. You'll hear some boxes falling. Go out again, left and left in the corridor and check the darker area on the other side (E): you'll see some wooden crates there. They're fallen down and one of them contains the Office Key. Be quick: the acid leaks harm Lara.

Go back into the passage you visited just before (W) and look up to spot a shaft where we go up now. Facing the small door, jump and grab up into the shaft and go up to one step below the sloped part (white grates will mark the positions you have to jump from!). Back flip to a slope behind you and jump gain to grab the ladder above the slope. Go up one step (Lara’s feet just on the ladder) and you’ll see a slope behind you. Back flip roll to that slope and back flip again, then jump and grab the flat surface. Pull the switch and hop up at the grate.

The Offices.

We need to get back to the Big Storage, follow the duct straight E, drop down into the tire depot and go out S, left down the ramp to the Service area and SE to the Storage. Go left to the big doors NE and open them with the Office key.

(Note by the Author: Be sure you have found the Grenade Launcher before entering).

Go up the stairs, an alarm will start and a Russian voice will advise the personnel to prepare for the battle. Go left, open the brown door with the button, go in and grab the new Offices Key from the computer table. In the second room, left, a bunch of baddies will appear, hop back shooting them. Once free of enemies, go back into that back room and the cabinet has a small medipack, the button left of the cabinet will re-open the entrance door.

Office level 1.

Go straight and open the door left with the Office Key, upstairs take a right and the door will close again. Take out the enemies and the passage W has another Offices Key in a crawlspace. Pick up a Big Medipack SE; flip the switch next to it to re-open the entrance door.

Office level 2.

Go out, straight and left up the stairs to open the next office. Go up the stairs and open the brown door on the right with the button, inside shoot 5 baddies and pick up a Medipack on the block right in the back, use the switch left of the block to re-open the entrance door. Before you leave, check the passage W for another Offices Key on the block. 

Office level 3.

Get out, to the N, left up the stairs and open the blue door. Then open the brown door left and run in, shooting baddies. İn the two cabinets in the first office (N) are the next Offices Key and a Medipack. In the back office, W wall is a grate, shoot it and use the switch to re-open the entrance.

Office level 4.

Go out of the office and loop around left up the stairs, open the big doors with the Offices Key. Run straight through the small open door in front of you before the new enemies can shoot you. Shoot the wooden crate at the end of the run on the right, pick up the Grenade Super Ammo (x1) and wait there to let the baddies group in a significant number on the stairs. Shoot the grenade and kill the rest of remaining baddies with regular ammo, if any are left.

Back in the cleared office, left (E) there is a cabinet with a Big Medipack and next to it is a switch that open both brown doors. Go left (NE) through the door you opened.

Control room, Sea Coordinates, a Rare Book and Last Expedition Report.

Go straight and left to open the next door, go right (N) and straight to the brown door. Open it with the switch.

Lower Crane 2 - Electric trap.

Run forward under the cables and below the crawlspace, a camera will show another hoard of enemies arriving. Climb into the crawlspace instead of fighting them, and crawl to the right. Follow the duct, shoot the grate and go to the small door on the right. On the right, you can collect a small medipack on a little niche and you can push a spicy button that will drop the electric cables on the wet floor, killing all the baddies in one shot and making the floor inaccessible.

Go up the little stairs on the left (SE), pull the right hand metal shelves back twice and enter in the little crawlspace, shoot the small grid and you'll reach a comfy office. Here you can collect some mission items: on the desk there is a Rare Book (stand on the desk to pick it up); on the other one the Last Expedition Report. The drawer near the switch has the Sea Coordinates . Pull the switch near the small door to open a white grid you've seen before, then use the small door to exit the area and to be back to the corridor with computers. Now go check the electrified floor area N, to the right. On the left are metal shelves, pull it back twice and enter there. Follow the passage, combine the Battery parts and place the Battery. Crane 2 will be lowered down. Go back right around into the corridor, then right to enter the white grid door. Shoot the wooden crates and get Revolver ammo and Uzi clips

Open a Timed hatch, the Revolver.

Head through W, hop over the security barrier and check the area: on the left you have the lowered Crane, on the right you've the door you opened with 2 switches previously (for later).
Go forward and on the right, open the small door NW. Pull the jump switch: it opens a door next to the Basement 1 with orange light, on the W wall of the big warehouse, behind a stack of containers.

For Secret#2: From the W end of the walkway, at the opening in the fence, do a banana jump W around the corner into the opening. Open the small door and shoot the ceiling grate to drop Secret #2, a Golden Rose. Hop down to the grey containers.


Go out of the door and hop down from the walkway onto the grey containers below. Down to the ground floor, behind the high stack W and left of that big blue door is the opened grate (SW) with the orange light. Inside is a TIMED switch and that will open a hatch in the room behind the open brown door on the N walkway.

This Timed run can be done in (at least) 3 ways. Here the one from Dutchy:

My route: roll and run out, jump straight onto the red/white crate, straight down the end and up the next, hop to the red containers and run left around the corner, hop up N twice (wooden crates) and from the highest run jump to the right (E) and a bit right to the red/white crates. Hop left twice over the wooden ones and run jump up left to the red containers, get to the top and run jump to grab the Crane cable. Turn around and up a bit to back flip with roll to the walkway, keeping the forward key down so you immediately start running, sprint through the door, up the stairs and up the ladder in the back left as fast as you can. Open a small door and step out into the cold to find the Revolver in the far back. Go back to the small door and shoot the grid inside. Turn, safety drop with the help of the ladder. You'll be right in the kitchen!

The Freezer, the Water Control card.

Facing the freezer, take a right into the storage/cellar we’ve been to before and stand against the W wall in the center, facing E and aim up with the Revolver to shoot the red electric box in the hole in the ceiling Lara was looking at the whole time.

Leave the storage to the kitchen and the freezer door is now open, right of you. In the right hand meat racks are pieces missing, that’s where you can go through. Duck to reach the crawlspace, shoot the small grid, go forward moving to the left (don't touch the pipes! They're harmful) and proceed looping to the left trying to avoid the pipes: jump the horizontal one and walk slowly between the vertical ones. You will see pushable shelves at the end of this path. Push it forward and it will drop down a hole. Jump on the jumpswitch in front of you, fall on the shelves, down, left then immediately right to spot the trapdoor you just opened. Down here, SE next to some bottles you'll find the Water Control Card.

Go in the next room (N) and pick up Flares between some red tanks. Open the door on your left to get back to the Service area, left.

Water Control.

Run straight through the service area, reach again the Big Storage. In the back, (SW), there is a big orange tank and right of it is a door you can open with the Water Control card, with a blue notice and a black drop on it. Go in, shoot the resistance and pick up the Revolver ammo.

Look in the pool with cooling water and shoot the grate SW, hop into the freezing water and swim into that pipe, around some bends and down at the chain into the low pipe ahead. At the next chains straight again and then keep left around corners where you can wade up and grab the ceiling to get out of the water for a bit and get warm. Back down and N, left where you see a grate and again left at the chain, follow through to where you can get out of the water. Collect a small medipack on the left, then proceed in the parallel passage to a larger area. On the left you can collect Shotgun ammo on the shelves, while looping on the right you will be leaded to Uzi clips.
From the center of this room, facing the stairs, go diagonally to the right running past all the white containers, then right to spot a small door. Open it, collect Uzi clips and a Medipack, then press the button. It will open a door*** near the fuel stream and a shortcut to reach it. Exit the small room, loop right and face 2 baddies on the stairs, then proceed up over them. With the fuel stream on your left, proceed forward into the opened door*** to a new area with pipes, where the Fuel and Water Control Center of the Base is.

A Deadly Mix.

To destroy the Base we have to connect the Fuel line to the Water supply by moving those pipes around, re-connecting them.

Go back to the passage where you came in and throw both switches in the alcoves in the passage, left Fuel and right Water Supply, closing both off.

Move the whole back row (2 pieces) of Water pipes left into the adjoining room; the first corner pipe can also be placed in the alcove in the N wall.

Then pull/push the corner pipe of the Fuel line into the back room too (pull N once and push it W).

Pull the first straight pipe of the Water line twice W so it is in line with the Fuel pipe, push the second straight Water straight across. The third straight Water one to the N wall and twice to the W and complete the connection to the ‘Water to Building’ with it.

Go back to the switches and activate the Fuel flow again. Now, as result, instead of water, there will be fuel in that freezing pool.

Now… all we need is a Torch....

The Torch - the Explosion.

Get out from the tubes room, go left, left, to the Big Storage. Immediately to your left there is the Water Control Room, go check, the water now transformed in fuel. Enter that small room to the right of the pool (S), shoot the crate and climb the ladder on the right. Climb until -4 steps to the ceiling then jump back on the opening. Enter the sloped duct, shoot the small grid, pick up Flares behind the tables on the right and shoot the next grate forward N. Get in and hop over the slopes to the wooden crate, climb over the crate and get behind it to push it W off the ledge (it will be useful as shortcut). Go to the last grate N, shoot it and aim also to the one on the other side of the courtyard, in front of you. From this window, shoot the red electric box. The white grid door underneath will open.

Back up, safely climb down using the wooden crate you pushed, go E and left to the courtyard. Get up the crates NE to reach the snowy ladder on the right (next to the drunk man), climb up and left onto the balcony. Run jump over the fence (onto the wall W) reaching the niche. Go through the passage, pick up Flares on the right, continue forward, then left into an air duct. Careful, don’t fall into the turning fan, run jump and grab over. Climb down in the next one a bit till you see the edge behind you and back flip roll over the pit. Go down into the last pit and drop into the room, shoot the resistance. Find a small medipack in the cabinet, open the door and get out into a storage we’ve visited already, pull (or push) that metal shelf through the door into the room you just came from, leave it under the hole in the ceiling close to the door (the only one without a pipe). Climb onto the shelves and grab up E, follow the duct through a crawlspace with rats to where you can stand again, drop down into the shaft. Push left or right the shelves on the E side, use the jump lever just above the opening to open a white grate door. Go in the opening, then right to enter in the door you just opened. Shoot the crate in front of some Flares and go left around the grate, look through the gap in the NE corner and shoot the wooden crate you can just see there. Get out of this room and now you can push the crate right into the passage to get a Torch from under it.

Igniting the Torch.

Now we need to ignite that Torch, and to bring it to the Fuel pool. Go back to the Main Corridor; go right (N) and first chance right is to the Main Corridor. Take a right and then SW through the passage to the Courtyard with the drunk guy (left). Ignite the Torch on the burning barrel. Turn around, go through the brown door on the other side of the courtyard (S). Right up the steps and hop onto the wooden pushable crate, then hop onto the upper floor. Turn S, hop over the slope(s) and end up in the room with the wooden tables. Save and throw the Torch into the crawlspace. Get in there, pick up the Torch from the other side. (if it's still in the low part, crawl in and pick it up, throw it again). Now throw it down into the duct and climb down. Pick it up again, go left and position yourself near the broken fence around the pool, Save and throw the Torch. It will cause a MASSIVE explosion.

 

Level II: The Base, the Aftermath.

After Lara stands up again, go down forward and left, avoiding some falling debris, to get an extra small medipack at the door E. Go back to the starting point, up into the passage and slide down, go left and crawl through, straight through the opening to the large room (be quick to avoid the falling debris) and climb up right in that dead end N passage.

Crawl through and right is that Big Storage, things still explode there… but we go down left the sloped corridor and follow through to the area below the Service Area (E). The fence to the area left is broken now and you can now take that Bike there. Walk slow through the fence towards the Bike and wait when you see rubble fall. Then go to the Bike, open the small door left to get a Medipack from the broken cabinet. Take the Bike (Save often) through the fence (S) and right, up the sloped corridor we came from and keep going left to come to the Big Storage…

From here we can go for a Secret Detour: Leave the Bike here, go climb the high stack SW to get to the NW walkway. Pull up as far right as you can because of the flames, go to the right (N) a bit and hang out at the next opening in the fence, shimmy right along the edge to pull up after passing the pillar. Go through the doors and down the staircase, left down to the Main Corridor (or what’s left of it). Straight W and left through to the yard and don’t shoot that drunk guy you saw before, but lure him to the door with the still working camera (NW), the door will open, now you can shoot him. Shoot the crate inside and get Secret #3, another Golden Rose. Make your way back, N into the passage, right up the staircase and second right through the door to the walkway, shimmy left and pull up at the left corner of the burning tile, go left and hop over the flame tile onto the high stack. Make you way down and go find your Bike (NW).

Getting Out.

Ride it left (N) to the Service Area and into the opening N, straight through (watch out for the burning floor parts) and up the ramp. Follow through, knocking down a baddy and at a ramp down.

Now down the stairs, Save there after getting your health up. Ride fast into the next room along the left wall, curving sharp right around the corner up a ramp keeping the speed high, you’ll may  catch fire, go straight through the windows jumping across courtyard into an opening with glass shards. The flames will be gone with the wind, take a medipack. Follow the corridor running over 3 guys and after going around the second left, take a right through the doors and inside right again, turn left and go straight through the grates at the left side so you’ll run over the containers, then keep up right through some more grates and you’ll be outside, go to the open Gate….
