After the opening flyby, turn left and walk along the beach until you come to a high wall. Pull down the wall switch for a cut scene of some as yet unknown area. You can't proceed further due to an invisible barrier in the water. Go back a short distance and see an opening in the rock wall to your left, but that's for later so you needn't waste time exploring in there right now.

 

Continue past your starting point and jump into the water toward the ships. Swim left past the nearest ship and go around to pull out in front of a block (noting the nearby underwater gate). Climb the block, jump up to grab the left side of the ladder and back flip onto a rock ledge. Turn around to face a locked gate, which is your next objective. Getting the key requires a trip along those green islands floating over the water.

 

Take a running jump S toward the nearest island. To use a new move called the "wall scramble" by the builder, keep the jump key depressed until Lara grabs the wall, then immediately press also the up arrow key to make Lara scramble up and grab the top. Pull up normally, walk forward and jump S to the next island. The next island E has a ladder on the column, but jump down to the stable surface at the left corner. Stand jump to the left of the ladder onto another stable surface, climb the ladder here (sneaky), shift right around the corner to the first ladder and climb to the top.

 

Hop forward, go around to the N edge and stand jump to the small island. From there take a "walking running jump" (walk key, followed by the jump and up arrow keys) N to grab the next island. Stand jump SE down to the next island, losing a small amount of health, walk to the far and and take a running jump with grab to the next island S, climb to the top and take another running jump with grab to the higher E island, get to the highest corner and take a running jump without grab onto the corner of the next island N. Hop left to the NE corner of this island and take a running jump down N to the small island down below (again losing a small amount of health).

 

Search the small chest for the SECRET KEY, jump into the water and swim back to where you pulled out earlier. Climb the block, then the ladder, back flip to the rock ledge and use the Secret Key to open the underwater gate below you. Jump into the water, swim through the opened gate and find the SECRET SEAHORSE at the far end. Now it's time to explore that area beyond the wall opening near the wall switch you pulled at the very beginning. Return there, hop down into the enclosed lake and locate the S opening. Swim inside for revolver ammo and a small medipack. There's another opening NW, at the end of which is a underwater lever that raises a block.

 

Surface, wade up S and pull out of the water. Loop around left along the ledge, back flip onto the slope and jump off S to grab the wall. Keeping the jump key depressed, press the down arrow key to make Lara turn around and jump to the higher ledge. Hop with grab into the S alcove for flares and a large medipack. Jump back to the previous ledge, face E and stand jump to grab the horizontal pole. Swing around, jump off to grab the next pole and jump to the E ledge. Pull the cage from the S wall, go around to the right side and pull it once more, turn around and pull the wall switch to lower the block you raised earlier.

 

Hop down, go around clockwise to the slope and use the same move described earlier to get to the higher ledge. Use the horizontal poles to get back to the pushblock. Enter the now-accessible alcove and pull down the wall switch to open a gate near the cut scene you saw at the very beginning. For another pickup you can walk out onto the green ledge with the red flowers and take a tricky running jump to grab the left side of the far ledge, shimmy right, pull up and drop down the NW opening for a large medipack. If you miss the jump, just use the slope to get back up to the higher ledge.

 

Exit to the beach and follow the coastline W just past the seaplane. Run up the green ramp to a higher ledge, turn around and jump E. Make your way E along the ledge, jumping as necessary (or crawl through the hole), until you reach an alcove with a wall switch that gives you a cut scene of the triangular opening immediately to your left. Go past that opening to the next opening, the one you saw at the beginning. Enter and follow past the spider web to a floor hole with a ladder.

 

Drop down into the trench and walk to the far end to face another ladder. Jump to grab it, pull up into the passage and go up the ramp and round the corner to a ledge overlooking a room. Slide down either side, drop down through the S opening into a small pond, jump to the lowest part of the S wall and scramble up to the top. Run forward into a fixed camera featuring the small boat anchored just offshore and push the floor lever for another cut scene of that familiar triangular opening.

 

Return to the wall, save your game and take a long running jump N to grab the opening just to the right of the green column, pull up and face the alcove in the W wall. Take a running jump into the alcove, keeping the jump key depressed. When Lara grabs the wall, press the down arrow key to make her turn around and jump to grab the E ledge. Pull up, take a running jump and grab to the other side and return via the passage to the ladder hole. Ignore the ladders, jump across the gap, stand with your back to the W wall, jump to grab the E wall and hit the back arrow to get back up to the entrance passage.

 

Exit to the ledge and loop around left into the other triangular opening where the force fields are now gone. Proceed to a flooded area, jump into the water and swim along the passage past some crates until you can surface and pull out. Head S through the spider web and come to an apparent dead end. However, you can stand underneath the column structure and jump to grab the E wall, do a backward jump to grab the face of the column and scramble up to the top (takes a bit of practice, maybe, using first the down arrow key and then the up arrow key). 

 

Jump N through another spider web and take a running jump onto a pointed ledge. Take a running jump onto to the left slope and jump off with a left curve to land on the N ledge. Go through another spider web and a crawl space, stand on the breaktile in the alcove and slide down to a lower passage. Drop down through the floor hole and slide down to a scenic area. Hop up into the S alcove and pull down the wall switch to turn off a flame tile on top of the central column.

 

Hop down, go around to face the wall on one side of the alcove, jump to grab the wall and back jump to the facing wall and scramble up to grab the slope. Pull up and take a rolling back flip to land on the slope behind you, slide and grab and shimmy left around the corner. When you're over the alcove, pull up and back flip onto the column. Hop up to the ledge with the plant, turn left and take a running jump to the next column where the flames went out. Take a running jump and grab to the S column and pull up. Jump down E for the large medipack and do a wall scramble back to the top of the W column.

 

Go up S, note the upper crawl space and pull down the wall switch to open one of two gates blocking a crawl space elsewhere. Return to the top of the former column, jump to the central column and take a running jump N to grab the niche. Pull up and jump up into the E alcove to find a wall switch that opens the second gate in the crawl space. Go back to the S wall switch and do a wall scramble up to the crawl space, pull inside and lower Lara down the other side. Do a wall scramble to get to the next crawl space, where the way is now clear. Stand up at the far end and look out over the beach.

 

Walk to the right corner and stand jump E to grab the monkey bars. Follow the ceiling tracks to the E opening, drop down and run forward (I'll stop mentioning the spider webs) until you reach a crawl space. Crawl to the next area and slide down a long slope to trigger a long flyby through a deep room while Lara is in mid-slide, followed by a long drop into the water below. Swim N, away from the barred opening, and pull out onto the bank to the left of the waterfall. Jump N through the water, stand against the wall and jump up and down several times with the jump and up arrow keys depressed until Lara grabs the edge and can pull up. Unusual, to say the least, but probably a first cousin to the wall scramble.

 

Anyway, walk forward and pull down the wall switch to open a gate in this area. Take a running jump SE to grab the ledge, pull up and climb up onto the block. Jump to grab the S wall, back jump to grab the horizontal pole, swing and release to grab the next pole and jump off onto a triangular ledge. Save your game for a more complicated exercise. Turn around, stand jump to the previous swingpole, jump to the next, jump to grab the wall and back jump to a higher swingpole. Swing and jump to the next swingpole and from there to an alcove with a wall switch (where you opened the gate earlier). Pull down the switch for a cut scene of the water below and take a long running swan dive down there (after first saving in case you break your neck upon landing).

 

The S opening is now accessible, so swim through the tunnel until you can surface in a grotto. Go to the NW corner, where you can stand and pull up into a crawl space and push a button to open a gate somewhere. Get back into the water and swim counterclockwise to face a closed gate. Pull out left, light a flare and pull up into the dark W opening. Ah, here's the gate that was opened. Jump to grab the wall, back jump to the wall behind you and scramble up to grab the top (yes, I know, it ties your fingers in knots).

 

Pull up, turn around and take a running jump over the gap, turn left at the crossing and come to a new underground lake. Walk out onto the ledge, turn left and jump to the block. Grab the crack and shimmy right around two corners and drop down the other side. Jump down NE and pull down the wall switch at the end of the short S passage. The underwater gate you saw earlier finally opens, so go back the way you came, through the SW passage and down to the lower lake, through the opened S gate and straight forward to end the level.
