SEARCH FOR THE SKIDOO

Level 1: THE ENTRANCE

 

Lara slides down to a passage with icy walls. Look left for a crawl space leading to a brightly lit room for SECRET #1. Admire the artwork on the wall but don't get too close lest you burn and die. Pick up 4 x shotgun ammo and 2 x uzi ammo and exit to the main passage. Pull up SE and enter the S crawl space.

 

When you can stand up, pick up the flares to your left, go past closed gates on either side of you and note that you can perform a sprint jump in this level. Continue to the gap, jump E to grab the ladder and climb down to the bottom of the pit. Grab the SKIDOO TEMPLE KEY, climb back up the ladder, shift left and drop down. Take a running jump S across the gap, vault up right and insert the key in the keyhole. Take a running jump N, grab and pull up and run forward to find that the W gate you passed by earlier is now open.

 

Run forward into a temple area and avoid the slow-moving boulder that blocks the entrance. There's a crawl space in the middle S alcove you can enter for SECRET #2 and the SHOTGUN with shotgun ammo. The W door is open, so enter to finish the first level and press the escape key.

 

Level 2: SKIDOO TEMPLE

 

Walk forward to a slope, slide down and continue to a ladder.  Climb up to a lava room and get across with the help of either corner platform. Search the safe tiles with the circle design in the next lava room (the other sections are deadly) for 2 x shotgun ammo, the UZIS and 3 x uzi ammo. Jump up N and look up at the ceiling for the safe path across the next room. Hop up into the N opening to trigger action music that signals possible danger ahead.

 

Enter a crawl space maze, go right, then left until you can stand up, then follow a long distance until you finally reach the KEY TO THE END OF MAZE. Go back the way you came, re-enter the crawl space, take the first right and stay right until you can stand up near the keyhole that opens the door to your right. Go on in to face another lava room.

 

Jump the platforms around the room and climb the W ladder in the ceiling shaft. When you pull up and run down the passage toward the closed door, a flyby warns you of four chicken monsters waiting in the next room. Pull down the wall switch to open the door, draw your shotgun and await the arrival of your avian foes. When all is clear, go around into the passage alongside the N wall for the KEY TO THE SKIDOO. Use it in the W keyhole to open the door. Mount the Skidoo from its right side and drive forward to finish the level.

 

Level 3: THE ESCAPE

 

Simply wait for the two snow leopards to approach and commit suicide, then drive up the ramp and continue forward with speed to clear the gap and enter the smaller N opening. Jump with speed over another gap and mow down a trio of ninjas. Continue through the next opening and negotiate the ledges to the W opening. Drop down into a rocky passage and follow around to an open area.

 

Dismount and start at the SE corner to climb blocks and jump W to grab the sloped block in the center of the room. Pull up, jump to the SW corner block, monkey swing across the room and drop down to pull the wall switch to open the exit door. Drop down, mount the Skidoo and drive through the opening to end the level.
