The rules are simple. You have three lives, indicated by Lara's smiling mug at the bottom of the screen, and you must prevent the several rolling curs from reaching you.

The tile immediately ahead of Lara will be blue, indicating a hole through which you can dispose of the many many curs, but it will only remain open for a second or so when you move to the next tile, so keep an eye on the curs rolling from the back end of the screen and do your best as you run back and forth on your lane.

If three curs get across, it's game over. Survive until the end and you're golden. Whee!
