LEVEL 1 – QUALOPEC’S BASTION

 

Going Down

Slide down the ramp and advance N to find a deep pit. Go to the very left side, situate Lara facing SW and jump back onto a breakable tile, quickly run forward to the next one and if you are lucky you’ll fall without damage onto the lower spiked tile with the large medipack. Face W and take a standing jump onto the breakable tile, quickly turn left and run off the edge to land onto a slope below, slide/grab the edge of the slope and drop to the bottom of the pit losing some health.

 

First Switch

Climb W and shoot a bear and some bats, go right and advance counterclockwise over the wooden path until you can take a running jump to the N opening. Don’t go further but turn left and take a curved running jump to the opening in the E rocks, beware of the rolling spiked boulder and follow the path to the end and pull the switch to open a door somewhere. Go back the way you came the same way to the big N opening.

 

First Secret

In the next area shoot more bats and find the door you opened moments ago; inside the new room shoot two wolves and locate the movable block attached to the E wall, pull it out and aside, pick up the small medipack and climb the block to get access to the upper ledge. Back outside in the previous room take a running jump to the W side of the broken bridge and shoot two more wolves; advance and in the room with the deep pit and a lake at the bottom run off the ledge NE to land onto a block in the corner, go inside the opening to get the SECRET #1: shotgun shells and uzi clips.

 

Three Switches

To get out don’t jump over the slope but jump NW onto the safe block, facing S drop/grab the edge, drop/slide onto another safe block and jump S-SW onto the block in the corner; pull the switch (1 of 3) to open a door somewhere. Jump into the pool below but quickly go out of the water to shoot the crocs, pick up the shotgun shells and climb the rocks in the SW corner, advance, shoot the bear and continue counterclockwise to the top of the steps.

 

Detour for some pickups: from the last step face N, drop/grab the edge, drop/slide and take a standing jump N-NE over the slope to get a large medipack and uzi clips. Jump into the lake and go back up to the top of the steps. Now go through the dark passage, left and look for a wall switch (2 of 3) to pull (another door opening somewhere), climb the block with the switch, turn right and climb even higher to find a small medipack; from here go left and take a running jump to the rock attached to the N wall and another jump to the ledge with the closed door; facing the door drop/grab the edge and shimmy right, pull up and pull the switch (3 of 3) to see how the third door opens and the corridor is clear now.

 

Second Secret

Back to the ledge with the closed door, climb the block to its right, climb even higher and pick up the small medipack; turn left, slide down the slope and jump in last moment with a right curve to land onto the S ledge, go right and up through the hole in the ceiling and in the next room take a standing jump SE with a right curve and grab to land into a niche with the SECRET #2: automatic pistols ammo and uzi clips.

 

Spiked Boulders

From here take a standing jump SW with a right curve and grab to the opening in the corner, jump over the pit, go right to pick up a large and small medipacks and get out to engage a series of spiked boulders. Pick up the uzi clips in the corner and in the next room drop down through the hole in the floor, pick up the shotgun shells in the hole and drop into the room below losing some health.

 

Third Secret

Detour for the next secret: jump over the NE slope, advance and in the junction shoot a raptor, take the left branch and run always left to find the SECRET #3: a large medipack, uzi clips and shotgun shells. Drop down and drop through the N hole to the room below, shoot the wolves, pick up the automatic pistols ammo behind the E pillar and in the next room pick up the shotgun shells and the small medipack left and right. There are two crocs roaming around into the pool so kill them before jumping into the waters.

 

Pool Room

In the pool there are three switches to pull, one of them behind the E pillar, another one in the NE corner and the last one in the N side of the NW pillar. Now swim through the S opening (beware of the croc) and left to get a small medipack; continue swimming to the SE corner, surface and get out of the water, shoot the wolf, pick up the automatic pistols ammo and climb to the room above; shoot the raptor, pick up the uzi clips in the dark corner to your right and jump NW to the opening in the W wall, slide and jump forth and back with right curves if you want to get the small medipack, shotgun shells and uzi clips at the back of this cave.

 

Lowering Pillars

From the ledge with this pickups slide down the slope E to the spiked room below, pick up the uzi clips in the NW corner and push the movable block outside twice, place it onto the patterned tile to see a pillar lowering somewhere. Now jump into the pool and swim through the W opening (a door opened here), at the end of the path pull the UW lever to open a door somewhere, swim right to find yourself in a familiar room. Go up again following the wooden path and from one of the steps take a running jump to the W ledge with the open door, pick up the automatic pistols ammo, push the movable block twice and place it onto the patterned tile to see a second pillar lowering.

 

Big Cave

The N doors open, so go through to a room with cascades and a deep pit. Our first goal here is reach the wooden bridge high up, so take a running jump (no grab) to the platform straight ahead, shoot the raptor and use the rocks to the left of the circular door to climb to the roof, shoot several bats, pick up the shotgun shells and continue S, slide down the short slope and jump with a left curve, run up the wooden path, shoot more bats and take a running jump N to grab the rocks. Take a running jump NW over the water channel, slide and jump to land onto the safe tile between the spikes, shoot more bats and continue counterclockwise to the broken bridge, cross it, shoot the raptor and follow the wooden path (more bats to disturb) to the end, climb the N rock and take a running jump to the brown rocks below.

 

Fourth Secret

Detour for a secret: turn right and note the opening in the wall with vegetation (W), jump there and descend several ledges to get the SECRET #4: a large medipack, uzi clips, shotgun shells and automatic pistols ammo. Go back up to the brown rocks.

 

Opening the Circular Doors

Now climb the W block, take a running jump to grab the edge of the high S ledge, pull up and shoot more bats; pull the switch in the niche were they were and go S over the spiked roof. Of course, shoot more bats (oh, my God!) and take a running jump to the opening with the second switch: the circular door opens below, so make your way to go back down. (To save time I took a standing jump into the water channel)

 

The Skull Key

Inside, shoot a raptor and in the room with the sleeping bear move the block to reach the top of the pillar in the corner, jump to the wooden platform and pick up the Skull Key and the Uzis; go down shoot the bear and use the key in the entrance to open the next doors.

 

Main Lake Area

Shoot the crocs in the lake, jump into the water and look for an opening covered with greenery in the center of the lake to get the SECRET #5:  a large medipack, uzi clips and automatic pistols ammo and also the SECRET #6: the Shotgun and shotgun ammo in another disguised opening in a wall. Outside swim E and locate the niche with the UW lever behind the cascade, pull it to raise a trapdoor somewhere. Go back to the entrance and climb the ledge with the open doors, take a running jump to the left side of the block with the sloped top and another one to the top of the cascade, jump to the SE ledge and run and jump to the raised trapdoor (no grab), turn right and jump to the E rocks, to the top of the cascade and left to the niche with the switch which opens a door at the top of a roof.

 

Second Lake Area

To get there go back to the entrance ledge (two more crocs appear in the lake) and repeat the moves to reach the top of the first cascade, jump onto the nearby trapdoor over the water, to the SW rocks, shoot some bats, jump to the flatter part of the roof and to the corner with the open door. Pick up the automatic pistols ammo, safely drop into the house, shoot two wolves and jump into the water hole. Swim to another lake area and look for a ledge you can climb to shoot the crocs, jump to the NE rocks, to the NW block, take a standing jump over the slope, slide and jump in last moment to grab the next rock; continue clockwise to the niche with the switch: trapdoors open at the top of the orange block near where you shot the crocs, so go there, shoot some bats and climb to the platform with the movable block. For an extra pickup go to the N rocks and jump to the NW hole to get a small medipack.

 

First Aureate Passage Key

Move the block W and N so you can take a running jump to the top of the W building, from here jump to the S rock and climb even higher to the top of the rocks. Shoot some bats and advance N running and jumping counterclockwise to reach the top of the orange structure (from here you can spot an item, shotgun shells, near the tiles with the spikes but if you take a running jump there you’ll need to repeat all the movements to get back here), drop/grab shimmy left and pull up. Turn right and climb higher, facing NE jump back onto the slope so you slide backwards, grab the edge, shimmy right, pull up and pull the switch to open a door somewhere. Take a running jump S-SW to grab the edge of a flatter tile in the mound with greenery, jump W onto the flatter parts, shoot more bats and take a final jump to the N rocks to find the open door. Follow the path to reach the orange building at the top of the mound with greenery, shoot the bear and enter to get the first Aureate Passage Key. The nearby door opens as a shortcut to the next area.

 

Opening an UW Door

After the fall pull the nearby UW lever (there’s a small medipack in the nearby ledge) and another one in the opposite passage to open a door (and release crocs too), if you climb the ledge next to this second level there are shotgun shells to pick up, but this will alert a bunch of hungry bats; what I did was jump into the water and go to the platform in front of the building with the dead wolves to shoot bats and crocs.

 

Seventh Secret

Detour for a secret: go back to the first lever you pulled (UW passage in the building with the faces) and climb the ledge where the small medipack was, facing S, jump back so you slide the slope backwards and shimmy left, pull up near the corner and take a backflip with twist to grab the edge of the niche with the SECRET #7: shotgun shells and uzi clips. When you go out pick up more uzi clips (this last clips can be reached from the lake too).

 

Third Lake Area

Now go to the passage with the door you opened, swim always to your right when possible until you eventually find a hole in the floor, swim through and pull the UW lever to open the door you saw near the entrance and also release a croc. Swim to the building where the croc came from and pull another UW lever to raise a trapdoor outside. Now swim to the NW side of the lake and look for a ledge you can climb to get out of the water, shoot some bats and go up the wooden ramp to pull the switch, back into the lake the open door is just under that wooden ramps. In the new room surface quickly to shoot the croc, shoot a raptor too and go outside, when you can’t advance more (slopes) take a running jump N to land onto the trapdoor you raised time ago; now take a couple of tricky jumps onto the white sloped rocks to your left with left and right curves to grab the edge of the block with the automatic pistols ammo at the other side of the lake; take a running jump to the W block and onto the golden tile to open an UW door.

 

Dark Cave with Numerous Bats - First Trapdoor

This door is in the N wall, swim there and explore a dark cave with hundreds of bats and two switches to pull to raise a trapdoor in the area with the other lake. Swim back there. (The exit hole is now closed, so look for another hole next to one of the switches)

 

Second Trapdoor

If you want you can explore this S side of the lake to find uzi clips near the SE corner. To the right side of the building with the faces you can climb to a big opening and jump to the rock in the corner, at the end of the corridor pull a switch to raise another trapdoor.

 

Opening the Door with the Sleeping Wolves

Now swim to the green island with the spikes at its top in the middle of the lake, jump to the tile with the spikes, to the next block and to the higher block with the plant, continue jumping to the white ledge in the E wall, climb higher, pick up the small medipack and jump onto the trapdoors and the opening in the S wall; don’t pull up but shimmy left and jump to the niche with the switch, pull it to open the door in the nearby SE building where the sleeping wolves are. Drop onto the ledge below and pick up a large medipack. As usual, shoot several bats.

 

The Second Aureate Passage Key

Go to the wide steps in the SE corner with the sleeping wolves, shoot them, jump to the ledge between the big pillars in front of the now dead wolves and pull the switch, jump into the water and swim N where the door opened (next to the entrance), advance, shoot some bats and go up the ramp jumping onto the flatter tiles taking care with the falling boulders (don’t forget the small medipack). When you reach the top continue to a ledge overlooking the lake (more bats, of course), turn right, jump NE over the slope, jump to grab the E high edge, pull up, slide and jump with grab to land into the opening; now take only a running jump E to the rocks with the second Aureate Passage Key. Jump into the lake and go back to the SE building with the dead wolves.

 

The Third Aureate Passage Key

This time enter into the building and try to avoid the darts and the breakable tiles (there is solid floor in the middle too) the best you can and cross to the opposite side, go left to the last breakable tile and you can safely drop there. Explore this small area to find the switch to open the door next to where you dropped; continue to a room with more breakable tiles and a series of slopes you must jump to go up to the top of the room (when you reach the fourth slope you must slide, grab the edge and shimmy to the very right, pull up and continue jumping). Once you reach the top take a running jump to the opening with the skulls tile; quickly drop/grab the edge so the rolling ball runs over Lara; do the same when you step onto the second tile with skulls.

 

Continue climbing and use the same tactic when you find the next skull tiles. In the next corridor advance walking as near as you can of the right hand wall (very difficult task) and finally get the third Aureate Passage Key. The exit door opens and you can go back to the lake area.

 

Last Secret - Using the Keys

To get the last secret: from the opening overlooking the lake turn around, drop/grab the edge and shimmy left until you can pull up, jump to the W rocks to get the SECRET #8: a large medipack and the Automatic Pistols. Jump into the lake and swim to the right side of the building with the faces as you did before, climb again to the big opening and this time advance S and shoot two raptors, continue up the stairs and in the room with the keyholes pick up the large medipack and 2 X uzi clips. Use the keys and when you go down the stairs the statues explode and some strange winged creatures will attack.

 

Exiting the Level - The First Piece of the Armour

The exit door is closed now, so go to the room with the switches and pull them all to open the room at your back. In this room there are also a large and a small medipacks to pick up. Go back to the lake and again to the grassy island with the spikes on top, repeat the same maneuvers to reach the rock from where you jumped onto the trapdoors but this time jump to the left platform, shoot the bats and cross the now extended bridge to the W building, go to the other side of the pool, cross the corridor with breakable tiles and in the spiked corridor don’t lose time and try to run and jump landing onto the safe tiles without the spikes before the rolling balls smash you. In the next room Larson awaits; once you defeat it the exit door opens and you can pick up the Atlantean Armor – Cuirass. The next doors open and you must follow the escape route taking care of the falling debris until eventually the level finishes.

 

 

LEVEL 2 – ELYSIUM TIHOCAN

 

First Secret

Advance and go around the pool to find open doors; time the swinging blades and run off the edge in a SW direction, slide down the slope and jump at the very end with a left curve to grab the edge of the block, pull up and if you want to get the first secret, run and jump diagonally to your right to pull the switch in the E wall, quickly jump back before the rolling ball arrives; shoot a lion and go up the S ramp where it came from to get the SECRET #9: automatic pistols ammo, a large medipack, uzi clips and shotgun shells. Go back to the previous room and through the opening between the falling block and the raised trapdoor to get a small medipack. Go out and jump onto the raised trapdoor and follow the path to a large area with ancient buildings and a lake.

 

First Lake Area

Go to the SE corner, shoot a lion and pull the switch in the pillar to raise a trapdoor above; from here climb the nearby S ledge to pull another switch and raise another trapdoor, now go NE to a water hole and pull the UW switch to raise one more trapdoor. Climb the rocks in the NW corner, pick up the shotgun shells and continue climbing and jumping clockwise until you reach a pillar with greenery next to the S wall; go around to get a small medipack and retrace your steps to climb to its top, take a running jump to the next rock, and jump E to grab the edge of the first breakable tile, pull up, jump to the next ones and without stop to the top of the E roof to get the SECRET #10: a large medipack and uzi clips.

 

Tricky Maneuvers

Now jump into the lake and climb the rocks left from the entrance, climb and jump clockwise again as you did before until you reach the pillar with greenery next to the S wall; climb to its top, take a running jump to the raised trapdoor, a standing jump to the next one and a running jump to the last one, climb the rock in the corner and take a running jump N-NW over the roof to reach the area with 2 omega tiles. The exit door is closed here, so take a running jump to the W ledge with the spikes, the automatic pistols ammo and the shotgun shells, situate Lara on the very NW corner of the spiked tile and facing SE jump back onto the next slope (very difficult, you’ll need to adjust Lara’s position many times), slide backwards, grab the edge of the slope, shimmy right, pull up and take a backflip with twist and a left curve to land onto the top of the next rock; from here take a running jump W-NW to the next rocks and continue W to take a last running jump W-SW onto the next sloped ledge, slide onto the omega tiles to see a door opening in the E building, make your way to get back there the same way as you did before.

 

Time the swimming blades and pull/push the movable block outside, place it onto the omega tiles to open a door below, drop/grab the edge, drop, shoot the gorillas and advance through the new passage. Step onto the omega tiles to trigger rolling balls and continue to another lake area.

 

Second Lake Area

Shoot the croc in the lake and jump into the water, look for an opening in the N side and swim there to eventually find an UW lever, pull it to open double doors somewhere. Back in the main area find only closed doors; climb the block behind the spikes and continue climbing to find a high opening in the W wall. In this cave pull the switch at the top of the ramp and go back to the lake area the way you came: the door W from the spikes is now open; advance to get the Cassandra’s Last Message. Continue through the small opening, time the teeth doors and find the doors you opened moments ago.

 

Pool Room

In the pool room shoot a hound dog very hard to kill and pull the switch to create a shortcut to the previous area; explore the room to find uzi clips and automatic pistols ammo hidden between the plants. Open the door in the NE corner and quickly get out to avoid the rolling ball, run up the ramp, shoot the gorillas, step onto the omega sign and take refuge behind the slope to avoid more rolling balls, continue to the top of the pool room, shoot another gorilla and pick up the shotgun shells.

 

Under the Pool

Jump over the balustrade using the safe parts of the ledges and roof to cross to the W side where the wall switch is, pull it to dry the pool, safely drop to the floor but don’t try to drop into the pool, just jump directly through the hole at the bottom to land into another pool below. There’s an UW opening in the N side, swim through and pull a lever to close trapdoors somewhere. Now go through the W opening, time the swinging blades and jump to the other side of the room to climb some blocks and pull a switch to flood the previous rooms, swim back there and through the E opening this time; in the next room pick up the shotgun shells behind the big block, climb up to the bridge with the movable block and use it to reach the high ledge with the switch: it opens a door in the high part of the pool room. Go all the way back there (in the room with the balustrades there’s an opening in the ceiling).

 

Room with Greek Letters

In the room with many signs in the floor jump only onto the ψ sign in the left side and onto the Ω sign in the right side to open a trapdoor over the yellow text in the wall, now go to the room with the movable block and place it outside the small room; to get out use the corridor with the spikes, trigger the teeth doors and the darts first and then time the doors to take a running jump over the spikes. Once outside move the block under the open trapdoor, climb the ledge in the corner, grab the crack in the wall, shimmy left and pull the switch to open a door in the E side of the room (high ledge over the block). Go there and beware of the falling swords, climb the ledge, jump to the opening with the teeth doors, pull the switch, shimmy right, pull a second switch and jump to the nearby opening in the corner to pull a third switch and open a door in the pool room. On your way back down don’t forget the automatic pistols ammo, the uzi clips and in the corridor with the swords another door opened with a large and small medipacks, automatic pistols ammo, uzi clips and shotgun shells.

 

The Aeon Atrium Key

In the new room pull the switch to open the door in the corner, shoot the gorillas, pick up the automatic pistols ammo and pull the switch to open the next door. Quickly go there (it’s timed) shoot the lion, pick up 2 X shotgun shells and pull the timed switch to open the last door; in this room shoot another lion, pick up the automatic pistols ammo in the corner, climb the block to reach the upper ledges and explore them to get the Aeon Atrium Key.

 

For a secret: in the opening between the two rooms (E side) there is a very dark opening you can climb (a bit high) to pull a switch, quickly (it’s timed) go back to the pool room, exit through the E doors, jump without stop through the hole with the teeth doors and go to the right side before the spikes close the entrance to get the SECRET #11: a large medipack, 2 X automatic pistols ammo, 2 X uzi clips and 4 X shotgun shells. To re-open the door use the switch twice, exit, go back to the pool room and shoot the lions.

 

Go to the room with the lake and use the key to open the double doors, advance and from the top of the ramp take a running jump left to the sloped roof above the entrance of this lake area, slide, grab the edge and shimmy left to get the SECRET #12: a large medipack, shotgun shells and uzi clips. Go back to the top of the ramp.

 

Room with Two Small Pools

In the room with the entrances to the halls pick up automatic pistols ammo in the far corner, a small medipack between the plants near the entrance and jump into either pool, look for an UW crawlspace leading to a lever to open the doors above.

 

The Hall of Past

In the hall of past shoot the lions, pick up the shotgun shells in the corridor and in the room with the pool pick up another small medipack in the back of the room, jump to the opening in the blue wall and take a travel to the past. First go through the opening in the S rocks, jump over the water and pull the switch; back outside go through the big opening, shoot the lion and the gorilla and locate the open door; take a running jump over the pit, jump into the lake and get out of the water in the E side, continue and in the room with the blue sword shoot the gorillas, grab the crack, shimmy left, pull up, turn around and jump to the opposite opening; in the dark room don’t step onto all the breakable tiles so you can easily go back out after pulling the switch.

 

Outside go to the wall with the sword and then left (E) down the ramp and climb the yellow blocks; when reaching the slopes at the top, turn around, jump to the W brown ledges, beware of the rolling ball, continue through the dark passage, jump over the spikes and find the door you opened with the last switch. Slide down the ramp from the very left side and let’s drop from the first breakable tile, slide several times and jump into the water at the end trying to avoid the rolling ball; swim through the UW passage to find a big lake.

 

The Canyon

In the room with the big lake find a ledge where you can get out of the water near the NW corner, under the wooden bridge, shoot the crocs and take a running jump to the N rocks. From the left side drop/grab the edge, shimmy left, pull up, turn around and take a difficult running jump with a left curve to the flatter part in the S island, from here jump to the E rocks and be prepared for another tricky jump: take a running jump S-SW onto the slope, slide/jump with a hard right curve to grab the edge of the sloped rock in the center of the lake, pull up/slide/jump and grab the crack in the W side of the lake, shimmy right and pull up. Now follow the passage and around the corner turn right and climb the dark opening above to get the SECRET #13: automatic pistols ammo and uzi clips.

 

Drop/grab the edge of the rocks, shimmy right and pull up; climb the rocks to your left to get the small medipack and continue running and jumping in a clockwise direction until you reach the automatic pistols ammo before the first wooden bridge. Again continue all around clockwise over the breakable tiles and when you reach the second wooden bridge, if you want the next secret, just at the end of it turn right and climb the E rock, spot the ammo on a ledge at the other side of the lake and take a very tricky running jump there to get the SECRET 14: 3 X uzi clips; to go back take a running jump SW to the now raised trapdoor.

 

From the rock with the red flowers take a running jump E-SE to the rocks at the other side of the lake, run up the S ramp and again run and jump W to the yellow ledge with the small medipack; from here take a running jump S-SE with a left curve to an opening in the corner and continue climbing to reach the highest part of this canyon. Now go always in a N direction (this time not so difficult) avoiding the rolling ball until you reach a room with the Timeless Key, drop into the hole to go back to the present, shoot the gorillas in the pool room and go back to the room with two small pools.

 

The hall of Unborn

Now it’s time to explore the hall of unborn. Shoot the crocs on you way, pick up the small medipack in the NE side of the pool room and jump through the hole in the blue wall. Pick up another small medipack after the slide and continue following the only possible path until you reach another (yes, another) big lake area. Jump into the water and get out in the nearby SW corner, shoot the lion, the gorillas and the crocs too if you can, pull the wall switch (1 of 5) in the W wall (the switches here are marked with blue parallel bars) to open the exit doors and go N, climb the movable block in the NW corner and take a running jump to the NE ledges; now you must run/jump/shimmy (***) all around in a counterclockwise direction until you eventually reach a block with a switch, pull it to open a door in the middle wooden platform at the other side of the lake and don’t forget the large medipack on the block. Go back to the movable block in the NW corner.

 

(***) Detour for a secret: after the shimmy, when you are in the very NE corner, jump S to the next rock, again S to the next one and climb the yellow block to your right. Instead of continue S to the block with the switch, turn right and take a running jump to the N block, another running jump NW to the next one and climb W to get the SECRET #15: automatic pistols ammo and uzi clips. Go back to the NE corner and continue S to the block with the switch.

 

This time jump to grab the rock above, at the end of the path climb even higher and jump in a S direction (from the protruding ledge you can take a running jump N to a niche with uzi clips) until you reach the highest wooden platform, shoot the lion and the gorillas and locate the switch (2 of 5) in the W wall; at the top of this cabin with the switch there are shotgun shells (access from the right side). Now from the N side drop onto the middle wooden platform (there is automatic pistols ammo in the corner to your left), locate the door you opened with the switch at the other side of the lake time ago and enter, shoot the gorillas, on the dark ledges pick up the small medipack, the uzi clips, the shotgun shells and the 2 X automatic pistols ammo (there are ledges above too) and look for the switch (3 of 5) to pull. Go outside and jump into the lake.

 

Swim to the NW corner and locate an UW passage leading to a room with a lever (4 of 5) to pull and a croc; back into the lake swim directly E to another UW opening with the last lever (5 of 5) to open the exit doors (pick up uzi clips too in this cave). Opening the exit doors also release a couple of crocs, so you know what to do; finally look for an UW opening in the W side of the lake with the open doors, look for an opening in the ceiling (NE corner) and surface. Continue and shoot a lion in the corridors, at the end of the corridors you’ll find an apparently empty room, pick up the hard-to-see Timeless Key in its center and the door opposite the entrance opens.

 

Climb the blocks, turn left at the end, jump to grab the edge of the slope, pull up and jump back and forth with a right curve to land onto a flatter tile, jump to grab the edge of the upper ledge, shimmy left and soon you’ll find the room with the blue opening to get back to the pool room.

 

Last Secret

Go back to the room with two small pools, shoot the gorillas, exit and go down the ramp directly N to the first pool room where you can use the keys. Do it so to open the doors and in the grassy wide ramp, if you want to get the last secret, jump onto the very right side, slide, jump over the spikes and land onto a flatter tile with the SECRET #16: a large and 2 X small medipacks. Slide to the bottom.

 

Floating Islands

In the room with the floating islands simply take running jumps from island to island to the W until you reach the island with the spikes where Pierre and a nasty hound dog attack. Once they are defeated you can pick up the Pierre’s Head; go to the W side of the island and pull the only three accessible switches to raise a nearby trapdoor, climb to the top of the pillar to get the Atlantean Armor – Greaves and take a jump to the top of the W block to pick up 2 X large medipacks and 2 X small medipacks, go to the S side of the island where a trapdoor has been raised and jump there, continue through the opening, slide and swim to surface in another cave area.

 

Take a running jump to the back side of the S pillar, climb it and continue climbing, running and jumping until you reach the high opening in the S wall; at the end of the rocky passage the level finishes in an outside area.

 

 

LEVEL 3 – BARREN OTHER LANDS

 

Building with Bridge Above

It seems that Lara is now wearing the greaves/boots she got in the previous level…

After the slide go N over the slopes to the back side of the big rock to get the SECRET #17: large and small medipacks. Now jump to grab the crack in the E wall, shimmy left, pull up and jump to the S pillars to reach the high S opening. Slide down the ramp and when approaching to the lava river you’ll soon be attacked by a couple of those nasty hound dogs hard to kill. Now go E to the building with the bridge above next o the lava river, trigger the rolling ball and quickly go back out, jump over the ball, go though the corridor climb the wall to your left and take a running jump to grab the S breakable tile, shimmy right, pull up and jump to the W bridge, pick up the automatic pistols ammo and pull the switch to open a door somewhere.

 

Room with Movable Blocks

Go to the W end of this area to find the open door to your left, shoot a winged atlantean and once inside the building pick up the automatic pistols ammo and pull/push the movable block out of the building. For an extra pickup note that the block just to the right of the open door is movable, pull it out of the wall to get uzi clips. Climb the outside block and take a running jump to the W rock, turn left and jump over the slope to the opening above, pick up the uzi clips and slide/jump in last moment to land onto the safe tile, take a running jump to the block in the corner, jump to the sloped rocks to your right, slide/grab the edge and shimmy right to the end. Now jump onto the tiles in the lava with the gray texture (they are safe) to reach the S platform with the pillar.

 

To the Sloped Area

Jump to the back side, pick up the small medipack and pull the switch, quickly (hound dog), take a running jump to the top of the E block, another running jump SE over the slope to the rock with the uzi clips and a last jump to the S safe ground. Now continue W and take a curved running jump to grab the raised trapdoor, continue taking tricky running jumps onto the lava tiles with blue color to finally reach the big N slopes; shoot a hound dog.

 

Jumps in the Sloped Area

From here the jumps are not very easy, as you already know you only can use the flatter tiles and, even-more, you’ll need to use some blue tiles in the lava between the sloped surfaces to go W and E. Start by going to the W side and pick up the uzi clips, now jump back to the E (upper safe tile in the lava) and jump higher to get a small medipack; the camera changes showing you the next flatter tile on a block next to the lava, so from this position take a tricky curved running jump to land there; now jump onto the highest blue tile and to the W slopes (with grab), jump to the lower flat tile and to the very W side, slide and jump before the end with a left curve and immediately left again with another left curve to land onto a tile near the lava. Shoot a hound dog.

 

To the E High Building

From here take a standing jump NE onto the golden tile to raise the N trapdoor, take a running jump SE, slide (not to the very end) and grab it, at the top of the block there is automatic pistols ammo. Forget the switch for now and take a standing jump to the top of the E rock, now take a running jump to grab the edge of the next one, pull up, slide, jump in last moment with a left curve and jump again with a right curve to land in front of the niche with the switch, pick up the shotgun shells and pull it to open a door in the W side of this cave, shoot the winged atlantean, drop/grab the edge, shimmy right and drop onto one of those blue tiles in the lava. Jump back to the sloped surfaces and make your way to reach the high part of the W slopes as you did before (many tricky jumps; repeat!). This time take a running jump to the E high building with the open door.

 

Inside the Building

Shoot the crawling atlantean, pick up 2 X shotgun shells and uzi clips in the corners and shoot a centaur at the other side of the room. Go through the W corridor where the centaur came from, walk through the spikes, pick up the automatic pistols ammo in the corner and pull the switch; go back outside, shoot another crawling atlantean and climb the trapdoor (there’s a block with no collision here???) so you can jump to the high S ledge; pull the switch to open double doors somewhere and also trigger a couple of winged atlanteans.

 

Lava Rooms

Go back to the entrance, drop/grab the edge (from the very left side), drop and take a couple of standing jumps with left curves as before to land onto the safe tile near the lava, jump N to find the open doors. Go through the next corridors (beware of the darts) picking up uzi clips and a large medipack on you way until you reach another lava room; run and jump onto the safe tiles to the E side and climb the block to get access to another lava room (N). Here, jump to the blue tile next to the central pillar and take a curved running jump to the N safe tile in front of the switch, pull it to open a door in the previous room and go back there via the now raised trapdoor and the blue tile next to the block under the exit.

 

When reaching the ledge with the open doors, jump into the water and pull the UW lever in the SE corner, get out of the water in the N ledge, shoot the crawling atlantean and jump to the platform where it was, to the S ledge and go through the S opening. This room seems to be empty with nothing to do, but there are two movable blocks attached to the walls to pull: locate the first one in the NW corner and pull it twice to get the SECRET #18: automatic pistols ammo and shotgun shells. If you want an extra pickup locate another movable block in the SE corner and pull it out to get automatic pistols ammo. Anyway move one of the blocks outside (left side, looking from the room they were) so you can climb it and take a running jump E-NE with a left curve to reach the high block in the corner, go through the corridor to find a wall switch in a niche.

 

Timed Run

I couldn’t understand very well this puzzle, but this is what I did: I pulled the switch and went back to the main room, but nothing happened, back to the switch I heard a door opening, but only for a brief time so I repeated the movements jumping back towards the switch so I had enough time to cross before the door closed (the door at the entrance of the corridor); then I jumped over the slope, pulled the next switch to open the door, I went out to the niche with the first switch and quickly I went to the entrance of the corridor; this time the trapdoors around the room raised and I could run and jump around the room without stop (they are timed) to reach the high ledge in the W side of the room. This timed run was really hard for me.

 

Raising the Lava - Next Piece of the Armour

Pick up the automatic pistols ammo, climb the block and continue to a corridor where a rolling ball will be triggered; from the top of the golden block jump to grab the edge above and continue climbing several blocks until you reach a passage with a switch and uzi clips, pull it to raise the level of the lava in a room you’ve already visited. Safely drop to the floor and once in that room repeat the jumps to reach the block in the N side as you did before, this time you can climb the highest ledge, take a running jump E to grab the crack, shimmy left, pick up the shotgun shells and finally jump to the ledge above the entrance with the next piece of the armor: Atlantean Armor – Gauntlets and the Forge Key too.

 

Back to the Lava River

Run off the edge diagonally and with grab too landing onto the entrance ledge of this room; now you must go all the way back to the very beginning of the level (shoot a couple of crawling atlanteans in the next room) repeating the same movements as you did before. When you get there, this time you’ll find yourself in the S side of the river; if you want an extra pickup go E, shoot a crawling atlantean and get the uzi clips there.

 

The Top of the Lava River

Anyway, in front of the raised trapdoor there’s a big opening with several blue safe tiles, jump from tile to tile to the very top, climb the rocks and when the music starts turn right and take a running jump to the yellow rocks, take a running jump with twist NE over the slope so you slide backwards onto the other side, grab the edge, shimmy left and pick up the automatic pistols ammo, jump to the N ledge, to the rocky ledge NW, to the next one and shimmy left, take a running jump E-NE to the sloped rocks, shimmy left and continue jumping-shimmying until you eventually reach a platform with a small medipack (shooting two winged atlanteans on your way).

 

The First Reservoire Key

Pick up the automatic pistols ammo in the pit with spikes, walk S and take a running jump to the next far ledge; here you need to situate Lara in the very NW corner and facing NE jump back to land backwards onto the next sloped rock and shimmy left; from here it’s easy to reach the top of the building with the Reservoire Key.

 

Detour for a secret: from the NW corner of this roof take a curved running jump to grab the edge of the NW rock, another running jump NW and a standing jump onto the SW hole to get the SECRET #19: a large medipack and 3 X uzi clips. Go back to the previous roof the way you came and drop to ground floor.

 

The Second Reservoire Key

Now cross to the N side of the lava river and go to the room where you moved the block outside a long time ago, this time place the block into the niche and onto the tile where the uzi clips were to see a trapdoor opening somewhere. Go E and find the open trapdoor between the sloped pillars to your right, drop through the hole and pick up a large medipack, 2 X automatic pistols ammo, shotgun shells and the second Reservoire Key too. Go out, some meters left (W), in the rocks to your right pick up the automatic pistols ammo and cross the lava river to the S side using those blue tiles taking only standing jumps.

 

Room with the UW Maze

Go through the big opening, pick up 2 X uzi clips in the corner and in the new room shoot four crawling atlanteans and two centaurs. Pick up 2 X automatic pistols ammo and 2 X uzi clips in the dark corners of the room, the fake door doesn’t open, but several trapdoors dropped near the entrance; go there and jump into the water.

 

There is a nasty UW maze here and it’s necessary don't lose time because the air is limited. Swim to the SW corner and locate the entrance; from the square entrance and only when you reach a junction go left – up to the top – down through the hole near the NW corner – down again to the bottom through the next hole in the very NW corner and continue swimming to find the second Forge Key; swim back to the surface the way you came. Use the N ledges to climb to the top of the pit and go outside to the lava river.

 

Using the Forge Keys

Now cross to the N side of the river (two options) and go E to the sloped pillars where you got the last reservoire key in the hole, go S and climb the brown low rocks, spot the triangular structure in the distance and go there jumping onto the blue tiles in the lava river, pick up 2 X shotgun shells, use the keys to open the door and slide down the ramp. At the end of the passage pick up 3 X shotgun shells and a large medipack, climb the opening/window and be prepared for a fiery battle.

 

The Final Battle

After Natla (she wakes up after the first fight) and several hound dogs are defeated, pull the switches behind the now E open doors and also the switches in the NW corner to open the exit door. In the next room take a running jump to the ledge with the Atlantean Armor – Launcher but quickly jump back and take another running jump to the exit door before being smashed. In the next corridors try to avoid the rolling balls and the moving lava blocks the best you can (not difficult), pull the switches at the end to open the next door and continue jumping onto the safe tiles in the lava trying to avoid the falling debris to reach the W passage where the level ends.

 

 

LEVEL 4 – HOME SWEET HOME

 

[Note:] In this shooter level there are excessive enemies to shoot and also excessive pickups, so I am only going to refer to them without specifying their number and/or type. [End note]

 

First Key

It seems that the Atlantean creatures followed Lara to her mansion. Pick up all the items in the starting room and start by shooting a couple of enemies; note that you need four keys to open the exit door. Run up the steps to the main hall and shoot two more enemies. Pick up the bunch of shotgun shells on the crate and run up the stairs, go left and through the opening in the SE corner; in the bathroom pick up a bunch of shotgun shells and the first Treasure Room Key. Get out and shoot several enemies.

 

Last Secret

Go out S to the gardens of the mansion, shoot innumerable enemies and for the last secret, from the exit door turn right - right - right and jump up to grab the edge of the upper balcony to get the SECRET #20: lots of ammo and medipacks.

 

Second Key

As usual, shoot many many enemies on your way back to the entrance of the mansion. Don't go inside but go W and when reaching the pool shoot more enemies; jump to grab the edge of the grate above it and pick up a lot of ammo and the second Treasure Room Key.

 

Third Key

Continue N, shoot many more enemies and go straight ahead to the opening in front of you (NW building); enter, of course shoot more enemies and climb the W ledge, jump N to the top of the next block, jump onto the top of the next one and jump W to grab the crack in the wall, shimmy left to the very corner, pull up, take a running jump to the E crates and drop from the other side. In the pool room go to the SE corner to get the third Treasure Room Key and shoot more enemies on your way back to the outside area.

 

Fourth Key – Final Fight

Go right and to the NE corner where the fourth Treasure Room Key is and also a bunch of uzi clips; shoot several T-Rex and more enemies. Go all the way back inside the mansion and to the very beginning of the level; use the keys to open the N door, shoot another enemy and slide down the ramp to a room where you’ll need to fight with Torso, there are also (I think) centaurs shooting fire bolts from behind the walls. When you defeat this last enemy the level finishes.
