Walkthrough by Harry Laudie

You start with a flyby of a crocodile above a pit with Lara at the bottom. When you get control, turn north and walk through the second from left tile in the north wall. Follow the tunnel and at the end, fall through a hole into water. Swim through an underwater tunnel and emerge into a large pond. Swim north to find a place to pull up and kill two crocodiles in the water. Dive back into the water and swim to the north-west corner to pick up the gate key. Then go west to get to the shore. Continue west and kill a wild pig. Enter a small cave in the north to get a shotgun. To the far west is a temple with a red doorway. Enter the doorway into a red room and the doorway closes behind you. Go through another walk though wall in the middle of the south wall. Jump over the spike pit and drop into a hole at the end. Pick up a token and return back to the red room. Use the token in the post and get a short flyby of the temple. The room is flooded so swim to the north-west corner and up a shaft. Pull up into another room with an open doorway in the south wall.

Enter the south room and notice a blue gem in the deadly pool. Go to the other side of the pool and use the gate key to open the gate. Enter and be careful of wall darts. You get secret #1 and pick up blue shotgun shells and grenade super ammo. Exit and go east past the old mummy in a coffin. Climb the dark south wall and shimmy left onto a ledge. Follow the ledge to shoot a barricade and pick up the Pharos Knot. You get a cut scene of a skeleton and fires back at the pool. Get down into the room and go west again. Shoot the skeleton into the hole in the north wall. Go back to the pool. Jump to a safe tile on the east side of the pool and then jump to north side and go down the west corridor. Go past a closed gate and enter the next room. Crawl under the wall darts and stand up on the west side of the hole in the floor. Just run off the edge and land into the opening below. Use the Pharos Knot in the receptacle and get back out of the hole.

Go east and enter the open door to pick up the grenade gun. Go east and the pool is safe so pick up the Horseman's Gem. Go back to the hole where you shot the skeleton and climb down the ladder to the bottom. Stay to either side, as there are wall darts in the middle. Use the Horseman's Gem and get a flyby of the outside of the temple. Go north and safety drop to the ground. Collect the four skeletons into a group so that you only need one grenade shell to destroy them. The way to the water is blocked so go to the blocks in the center and drop into a tunnel. Follow the tunnel and just before you enter a large area with columns notice a tunnel in the west wall. At the bottom you can see a wooden trap door.

In the area with columns, safety drop to the ground. Go to the west wall and look for a hole. Enter the opening there for secret #2 and a small medipack. Go to the east side of the entrance column and climb the north wall. You have to climb above the entrance and shimmy left and release to drop back onto the column. Jump the two columns to the south and shoot a skeleton off the west column. Then jump to that west column. Jump and grab the shorter column to the north-west. Pull up and look north to see a black line on the north wall. This black line marks another walk through wall above it. It is a difficult jump because of the triangular ledge, but when you make it, you get secret #3 and a small medipack. Jump south back to the column. Then jump to the south to grab the taller column. Go east to a ledge and then to another column. Jump north to another column. Slide into the east opening and save the game. It helps to light a flare at this point and give yourself full health. Stand to the south side against the wall. Stand jump west to the pillar. Stand jump south-west to land on the ledge at the south wall. Run off the ledge to the north and land on a pillar. Stand jump north to the entrance pillar. Run into the entrance and west into that tunnel. The timed trap door is open. As you sprint down the tunnel the camera view shows a rolling ball behind you. Make a guess as to when you are near the end and jump into the hole. Use grab and you should land in the water and away from the falling rock. If you just fall into the hole, the rock lands on top of you. Pull up to the east or west side and kill a crocodile that was in the water. Dive in again and pick up the crowbar on the floor near the east wall.

Go east and run down the tunnel. Notice the rocks high up on the slopes. Go to the end and pick up the Hathor Effigy. Run up the north slope and jump to the north-west behind the west rolling rock to avoid the east rolling rock. When the rock on the east starts to roll away, side flip to the east to avoid the west rock. When the west rock rolls away, jump to the north-west again. Then a final side flip to the east and by now you are high on a slope and the rocks have slowed or have stopped in the bottom. It just takes a little practice. Try it and the explanation above should be clearer. Exit to the west and you notice a climbable wall and a closed door in a south tunnel for later. Swim the water and go down the west tunnel. Ignore the south tunnel for now and continue west. Pick up the Ornate Handle and the room goes black. Roll and run to the east with four skeletons on your tail. Destroy them and enter the south tunnel. Go to the south-east corner of the room and make the Portal Guardian and use it. Exit, swim over the water, to the east tunnel. Go into the south opening, climb the climbable wall and enter the open gate.

Follow the tunnel south and climb another climbable wall. Pull up to an outside area with building on the other side of a river. Kill two crocodiles and get into the river. Swim to the west and down a shaft in the river floor. At the bottom, go west and swim up to an opening. Use the crowbar to pry the Golden Star from the wall and swim back to the river. Climb up onto the south shore and use the Golden Star in the receptacle in the south wall. You get a long flyby and at the end, spikes kill you. The tutorial level loads and this is the proper ending according to the author.
