After the fly-by , shoot the furniture for shotgun ammos and a
small medipack. The exit door opens on approach. Turn right in the
corridor, the next door opens also automatically.
At the
threshold of the new room, beware as you can see many spikes holes.
Go down to the first square which does not have spike holes, spikes
are triggered and you can continue safely. Climb into the opening ,
pick the shotgun , then as you
approach a furniture with shotgun ammo inside, a camera shows the
opening of a door somewhere , and 2 skeletons
lying on the ground . Exit this place and the spikes room to return
back into the corridor. Go ahead and notice the ladder in the corner,
climb the wall and back flip at the top to get the crowbar
and shotgun ammo. Go down. At the bottom , go right inside a big
room. The 2 skeletons are awaken, you can get rid of them by shooting
at them with the shotgun , so they fall down into the pool. There are
3 doors North , 3 doors East , and ledges high up around this big
room. Those ledges are unreachable for now, even if some parts of the
walls seem to be ladders , they are not climbable.
The right door of the East wall opens on approach. In the next
room run up the stairs , ignoring the skeleton.
At the top of the stairs , make a running jump with a slight right
curve to grab the ledge with Uzis ammos. Shimmy to the right , pull
up to pick up shotgun ammo , crawl to the next corner. Grab the
ceiling bars to monkey swing to the opposite opening. After a short
corridor, make a roll , and notice a jump switch. It has two
functions : it lowers a block in the previous room and it opens the
right door of the North wall in the big room. Before jumping into the
floor hole , you can go right for some goodies : small medipack and
Uzis ammos. At the lower floor you can notice the Portal guardian
receptacle.
Jump into another floor hole, shoot another furniture
for a small medipack. The previous skeleton has escaped the room and
is really pleased to see you again. After getting rid of it,
re-enter into the previous room (right door of the East wall) and
turn right where the block has been lowered. As you approach , you
see a block rising on your left, and you can see that another
block has been lowered on the right (it is flickering on the floor).
Go right to step on this square. This opens 4 doors for later when
you’ll be in the black pyramid room. Take the same way
as before (shimmying , monkey swing etc…) to return to the big
room. Go into the right corridor of the North wall and pick up the
1st black beetle with the
crowbar.
Dive into the pool, you will see two openings. One of them leads
to a room where you find the ornate Handle
; pry the 2nd black beetle off
the wall. Although you can hear the secret chime, this is not really
a secret because you ‘ll need these artefacts later for
progression.
The second opening leads to another room (also with
secret chime) with shotgun ammos inside furniture , the Pharos
Knot on the floor , and a jump switch that opens the left
door of the North wall in the big room. Swim back to go there and
enter by the newly opened door. After a spike trap , turn right for
some goodies , backtrack and continue in the corridor where you see a
sleeping skeleton. Turn right into a room with the Pharos Knot
receptacle. Placing the Knot opens the middle door of the North wall
in the big room. You can get rid of the awaken skeleton
on your way back by shooting it into the spikes hole. Back into the
big room , turn left and enter the middle door of the North wall.
Climb the stairs to a room with a sarcophagus and shotgun ammo. Pry
the 3rd black beetle off the
wall. Exit the room, you are now on the ledges around the big room.
Get rid of a skeleton. Before going left
into a new corridor a bit farther on the ledge, you can go to the end
of the ledge , turn right , make a running jump and grab an upper
ledge. There , you can find a big medipack, , and kill a harpy.
Jumping from ledge to ledge you can find some ammos. Jump back to the
lower ledge along the East wall and enter in the new corridor.
You soon arrive at the edge of a narrow and long room with a deep
pit. Grab the crack on your left and shimmy right until the end.
After the corner you hear the secret chime. Enter the crawlspace to
pick up the Hathor effigy.
Backtrack to the edge of the deep pit. Jump to the left and grab the
West wall (it looks like a ladder and yes ! it is climbable ! )
Go
down to the bottom of the pit. At the other side , pull the jump
switch. Return to climb the ladder. After that , continue your way
ahead. Pick up the 4th black beetle
in a corner and continue until you see another jump switch ahead.
Immediately after pulling it , jump to grab the ceiling (although it
does not have ceiling bars) and monkey swing until the end. Go down,
you are back at the beginning of the level.
Return to the big room, you will notice that the left door
of the East wall is opened now but don’t go there yet : you
have to place the Portal guardian before, to get a horseman gem.
Enter by the middle door of the East well(it is easier than
to take the right door again). The walls in the corner are climbable.
Once at the upper floor , combine the ornate Handle and the Hathor
effigy , place the Portal guardian to open the door. Once in the new
room with the black pyramid, notice the rising block on your left
(that’ s an exit). Place the 4 black beetles.
Each time a
beetle is placed , a demigod is
triggered. It is of course possible to kill them all if you are in
the mood , I found it easier and quicker not to pay attention to them
just loosing a bit of health in the process. After the pyramid is
opened , pick up the horseman gem
and exit by the opening. At the end of the corridor, turn left : you
are again on the ledges around the big room. Below , you can see some
skeletons on their nerves. Go down and
quickly enter by the left door of the East wall. Dive in a hole of
water and take a long swim to a room with a sarcophagus. Behind the
windows you can see the room where you’ve been before when you
placed the Pharos knot.
There is also a little window in a
corner. Pull the jump switch to open this little window.
Go down
, then up a few blocks to place the blue gem. It opens a door at the
top of a long ladder. Go down the couple of blocks and climb the wall
on your left. At the top , shift right , you reach an “outside”
area under a black sky. Kill a harpy ,
go right to end the level.
