This looks like the
regular Karnak level but go south behind the pillars to pick up flares. Go
north to pick up red shotgun shells from the ground in front of the line of
pillars. Climb the blocks to the west and kill two scorpions safely from the
high wall. Slide down the other side and pick up blue shotgun shells from the
front of the obelisk. To the south is a closed gate. To the west is a deep
trench. Go north and pick up flares beside the south wall and then drop into a
hole. Go though a crawl space and pull up into a room. In the north-east corner
is a closed gate. To the south are two statues needing items and behind that is
the deadly water sink. You can do nothing here so return back to the first area
and to the trench.
Grab the south wall and
shimmy to the right over the trench. Drop on the other side and kill a scorpion
and a ninja. Pick up the Uzi's that the ninja drops. Go south and then west to
get a flyby of a ninja running and dropping into a hole. Go west between the
rows of pillars and kill a ninja. Near the hole at the west end, kill another
ninja. Climb down into the hole and kill another ninja and pick up a small
medipack. Follow the tunnel to the north. At a junction, kill a ninja and pick
up Uzi ammo. In the west alcove is a crawl space that you cannot reach. Continue
north and climb up into an open area. There is a pool and two tall obelisks
that Lara cannot stop looking at. Go to an east alcove to climb into a crawl
space for Uzi ammo. To the north are closed gates. To the south is an empty
alcove. To the west is an opening for later.
First dive into the
water and find a crawl space. Enter and follow the tunnel to a room. Pull and
press the button on the wall. Swim back out and go to the entrance hole. Back
through the tunnel and the rows of pillars. Use the north wall to shimmy back
over the trench. Go south into the hole and crawl space. The north-east gate is
now open. Enter the alcove for secret #1, shotgun, small medipack, blue shotgun
shells, and Uzi ammo. Now reverse the trip and go back to the two obelisks. This
long backtrack detour gives you much needed weaponry.
Back at the obelisks go
into the west opening. Slide backwards and safety drop into the pit. Kill two
scorpions and pull up on the other side. Go south to climb some blocks. You
enter an open area and hear some music. Shoot a crocodile that attacks from the
west. Go into the dark west alcove to pick up flares. Go back east and notice a
closed door in the north-east corner. Go into a dark south opening for blue
shotgun shells. Exit and kill a scorpion. Go east and kill a crocodile. Go to
the south-east and carefully use the three reach-in switches and the west door
opens. If you catch fire, there is water to the north. Enter the west door and
follow the ramps to a ledge above the switches. Shoot a vase in the corner for
Uzi ammo. Jump to a block at the south wall and monkey swing to an opening in
the east wall.
Drop on the other side
to a ledge beside a pool. Go to the north corner for red shotgun shells. Swim
to the other side ledge for crossbow explosive ammo. Dive into the poll and
swim into the central hole. Open an underwater door and go back for more air. Dive
again and swim south in an underwater tunnel. Swim into a hole and go east and
then south again. Swim up into a flooded room with a mirror but your reflection
is missing. Pull up into a hole in the ceiling and enter a room. Pick up two
Uzi ammo from the floor and the Canopic Jar 1 from the pedestal. Swim back and
pull back up to the opening in the west wall. Monkey swing back as an even a
safety drop causes a very large health loss. Go down the ramp and to the other
closed door in the corner near the entrance. It is open so enter and follow the
tunnel and drop into the junction. Go south to climb the ladder back to the
rows of pillars. Again shimmy back over the trench to the starting area.
Kill two scorpions and
go south into the hole. Go through the crawl space and pull up in the statue
room. Go to the south-east statue. Place the Canpoic Jar and get a cut scene of
a gate opening. Exit back to the start area and go north. Kill a scorpion and
enter the open gate. Go down the tunnel and enter a room. Shoot the side vases
for a small medipack and Uzi ammo. Go to the back of the room and pick up
Canopic Jar 2 and a large medipack from the pedestals. Exit and go back north
to the statue room. Go to the south-west statue and use the Canopic Jar. You
get a cut scene of the bowl tipping and pouring something into the water
channel.
Go south into the room
with the water sinks. The water is frozen and you can walk on it. Shoot the
vases in the corners for a small medipack. Go south and climb up to the statue
and pick up Uzi ammo behind the statue. Enter the doorway behind the statue and follow the tunnel to a room. Pick
up the Amulet of Horus and get a flyby of the two obelisks area. There is
electrical arcing between them and the gate there opens. Exit and go back to
the start area. Kill two ninjas and traverse the trench again. Pass the rows of
pillars and into the hole. Follow the tunnel and pull up to the two pillars.
Enter the north open gate and run down the tunnel as the level ends.
