You start with a flyby
of a very dark cave that ends at Lara. Go to the south wall and run to the
west. You will find flares on the ground. Continue west and then north and you
will find a small cave. Enter there for flares and exit back to the main cave. Then
turn north and go in the direction of the wall torches. You will run over a
grate on the floor. When you reach a column, go to the west to find a large
medipack in a hole in the floor. Turn north and run down the slope. At the
bottom go to the north-west corner and hop onto a ledge. Find an alcove there
and pick up a small medipack. Then go east and run up the wide slope.
At the top you see
closed gates in the north and south walls. Continue up the east slope and into
a tunnel in the north corner. Enter a room and pull the chain and get a cut
scene of a gate opening. Run back down the slope to see that the north gate is
open. Run to the back of the tunnel and just follow the tunnel to a room with
statues. Use the floor lever in the middle of the floor. Exit through the
tunnel and then run into the open south gate. Slide down a slope and enter a
room as the camera view changes. Run down the north corridor and pass many
statues. Time a jump over the spike trap and at the end, turn to go the east
corridor. Shoot two vases for a small medipack and red shotgun shells. At the
end, turn north again and see another spike trap. Jump over it and slide down a
slope into another dark cave.
Loop to the left into
the south-east corner for a large medipack. The way to the west seems the
obvious route. However, first go to the north and find a sloping ledge. Get
onto the ledge and climb down the other side and avoid the spike trap. Follow
the tunnel to get secret #1 and pick up
blue shotgun shells, red shotgun shells, and the shotgun. Climb back up and
then go west and up the ramp. Enter a room with many stairs and kill two dogs. Continue
west and follow the tunnel to drop into a hole. Follow that tunnel to the north
and you overlook the rotating room.
[Note] The following
sequence confused me a lot. I assume you get the Guardian Key and use it. But
the receptacle already had the Guardian Key in it. When I got close to it, I
got a cut scene of a green wall. I do not know if this is a bug, or when I
reloaded I got something out of sequence. [End note]
Look to the middle of
the room and see a receptacle with a Guardian Key. At the opposite end is the
exit that is blocked by spikes. Stand jump to a north-west ledge. Then stand
jump in a north-west opening in the wall. You get secret
#2 and pick up Uzi ammo and blue shotgun shells. Slide down to the
floor and use the ledges to get to the ledge with the Guardian Key. Stand on
the ledge in front of the receptacle and jump to grab a ladder. Pull up and
continue climbing blocks west into a tunnel. You get a cut scene of a gate
opening. Carefully slide down the walls and go to the south tunnel. You can run
under the spikes with no harm. Pull up into a room and use the floor lever. You
get a cut scene of the room rotating. Exit by the tunnel in the east wall. Slide
down into the rotated room and safety drop into a hole in the floor. Pick up
the Guardian Key and go into the west tunnel. At the end, climb a ladder to
pull up onto a ledge. Jump to the next ledge and shimmy to the left to get
around the spikes. Jump into the lower tunnel to the north-east. Climb down a
ladder and go west into a room as the gate closes behind you. Pull the chain
and get a cut scene of the room rotating again. The west door is open so exit
and climb the ladder back to the rotated room. The room is back to the original
position and the spikes at the exit are gone. Side flip to the slope, and jump
to grab the ledge on the north wall. This is actually a very hard jump and grab
and took a long time to get.
Enter the north tunnel
and pick up the Ba Cartouche (but it looks like something else). Follow the
tunnel and kill two dogs. At the end, slide down a slope into a sandy room. Sprint
to the safe south-west corner as spikes descend from the ceiling. When they are
done, turn around and see a clear path and a crawl space in the north-east
corner. Go there and use a floor lever. Crawl back out and pull up and go west
into a room. Shoot the vases for Uzi ammo. Enter the open south coffin for secret #3, two Uzi ammo and the Uzis. Enter the
open north coffin for secret #4, Uzi
ammo, blue shotgun shells, and a large medipack. Climb the west wall and pull
up and you can shoot two empty vases. Jump over the gap and go east and into a
room as a gate closes behind you. Pick up a small medipack and the Ra Cartouche
from the pedestals. Avoid the two mummies and jump into the tunnel in the north
wall.
Run up the tunnel and
you get a flyby of a room with statues and lava pits. Enter the room and dive
into the water in the north-east corner. This water is safe but the other three
are deadly (I tried all four). Although the walls look solid, you can swim
through the lower east wall into a crawl space. Follow the tunnel and pull up
into a room. Pick up Uzi ammo and pull the chain. You get a cut scene to show that the three coffins on the wall are open.
Swim back to the room. Avoid the two mummies and enter the south coffin for Uzi
ammo. Then enter the west coffin and go into another room. The vases are empty
but the south-west alcove has Uzi ammo. Run into the central tunnel and jump
over a block that stops the mummies.
Follow the tunnel to
another sandy room. Use the Ba cartouche in the south-west corner. Use the Ra
cartouche in the north-west corner. Sand starts to pour in and the floor rises.
Avoid the mummy until you can pull up into a cave in the south-west corner.
Enter the cave and go west. Climb up into the tunnel. Run towards the light as
the level ends.
