Level 5: Just Can't Stop Shooting

You are on your way to the Tomb of Khysos aboard a military vessel in the hopes of uncovering the other city scroll and unlocking the mystery of the Lost City of Gold. You start in your cabin; after you watch a brief camera scene, look around if you wish, but it is unlikely you will find anything in this room.
Go to the west side of the room (the one Lara starts in), see the goodies, now how to find them, proceed out of the cabin and down the hall and take your first door on the right. Take note of the soldiers just standing there, you do not want to kill them at this point, proceed out the door once more and to your right and then take the first door on the left and move in to the room, see the metal grate on the southeast wall. Secret #1 is to the left of the grate behind the wall (Oozy, crossbow ammo, shotgun shells).
Now head out of the room and west out of the crew quarters. As you exit, head east all the way around to the other side of the boat. Once on the port side of the boat, head west to the very end and drop down into the opening, there are two armed men on either side of the entrance, do not worry about them, take the ladder on the far wall down to the cooler room.
Once down, head to the north side of the room to the three switches, the objective is to cut the power to other security door switches. First take the inactive one to the far left, push it and head back the way you came and go all the way back to the starboard side of the ship close to the crew quarters. Once there, see the raised block, that is where you have to go but first go over the raising block to the other end of the walkway into the fog and pick up the flares, now move up the block into the next room.
In this room it looks like a cargo hold, move to the center point of the room, see the "L" on the wall directly to the left of Lara, climb in, move ahead a few steps and flip the switch and see a camera showing the door open to the bridge.
Now jump down and move to the west end of the room, climb up into the open vent, go to the end until you come to a fork in the road, first turn right and go until you come to a drop with a flame at the bottom, turn your back, drop and grab the edge and climb down to Secret #2 (shotgun shells, grenade gun ammo & crossbow bolts).
Climb back up and take the passage to the left, climb down a little and
enter a foggier cargo hold, here are two more soldiers who look like they have
just been in a battle.
Move past the soldiers and climb up the east side of the wall into a small hallway and from there head into the bridge. This room is heavily guarded and the room on the right is barricaded, so then turn to the left and head into the next room, once there turn to the northeast, see the jump switch on the wall, use it and head all the way back to the room with the three switches.
Once there, use the security switch on the far right from the center, this will open a door in the very same room you are in, take the door into the bilge of the ship. Even here you can see a soldier on the far left platform, as you enter, jump down onto the platform and turn to the right, see the shadowy area across from you, perform a running jump and grab a ledge on the far right wall of the room.
Light a flare if you have to and turn your back so that you are facing the west wall on the edge of the east side of the block, step back and you should slide to safety. Save your game.
On the edge of the block face southeast, keep centered to the outside
and do a standing jump southeast to the next block.
Now walk to the edge of the block that you are on, do a standing jump back and then a running jump to the next block. OK, good now, do the same thing to reach the next one, once there then climb up one, good.
Once on the upper block face east and look down, you should see the next block you need to hit, do a running jump and you should make it. This next one is a little bit tricky, it may take a few tries before you get it, angle yourself so that your feet will just make the edge of the corner, once there light a flare.
Now double jump over to the next ledge and than do a running jump and slide down to the ledge near the water opening, see the opening above, jump up, it is rather dark so you may want to light a flare, pick up the Oozy ammo and flip the switch and see the water doors close, now it is time to jump in the water.
Follow the water tunnel to the doors and exit the water, climb up and pull down the jump switch in the pump room in order to deactivate the next security switch.
Now you can climb out and emerge onto the main deck, once there go over to about the middle of the main cargo doors on the bow of the ship and pick up the Oozy ammo and head back to the room with the three switches to deactivate the last security door.
Push the last switch and head above deck, now we must turn on the power to the main cargo doors, did you notice the opening in the deck just beneath the bridge, head down that opening into the nuclear generator room. Pick up the large medical kit in the room and head down the hall. OH NO, well it had to come some time, as the name implies, move the guard out of the way and pick up the gun, move into the next room.
Now turn on the power to the start up generator with the switch on the wall, once done the place should light up and the door in the corner of the room should open, go into the engine and take out the good guys, now go to the far west corner of the room and flip the switch to the engine reactor, powering the cargo doors.
Now head back to the main deck and blast your way past the guards in the direction of the cargo doors, in that area there should be a newly opened hatch in the deck, take it and head down to open the cargo doors.
Follow the tunnel down and climb down to the cargo door activation room and flip the switch on the anterior side of the wall you climbed down and see the cargo bays are now open.
Climb up and out and move to the cargo bay, once there pick up some goodies and proceed down the hatch in the northeast corner of the room, follow the passage and climb into the next opening, watch out for the bugs in the unkempt machinery.
As you enter the room you will notice a nitrous container on a trapped ledge, whatever you do, do not pick it up yet, first go to the other side of the room and take the climbable surface down, see the flames in the center of the room, you must turn them off. Proceed to Lara's right and go to the south wall, enter a secret door in the wall, follow the passage and flip the switch, now the flames should be out and a door behind the armed guard on the bridge should be open.
Pick up the nitrous container and head back to the bridge, go into the bridge, once there take the door on the right, climb up into the ceiling with the newly opened door, follow the passage to the end and jump down into the water.
Now follow the water tunnel out of the ship head and exit the water at the south end of the dig and watch the end scene, go down to the opening of the dig, shoot the soldiers and the scorpion and enter the excavation site.

Level 6: Excavation Site
To start the level you have to be quick right off the bat; there are two dogs and a guard coming to meet you as the level begins, and a change of clothes for Lara; once you do what you do best, head southwest through the first opening to the next part of the cave and face the south wall at the opening, see the fuel container in the corner of the room, blow it for secret #1(Oozy, Oozy clips, crossbow ammo).
Now head west to the drill room and watch a camera scene, obviously the object of the level is to activate the drill and to use it to access the Tomb of Khysos.
First, proceed up the ladder on the west wall of the room, climb up the ladder but watch out for the soldier at the top, take him out and head to the elevator. Use the opening on the roof of the elevator and climb up, now climb the next ladder to reach the uppermost part of the elevator shaft. When you reach the top of the elevator take the east passage down, take out the guard and soon you will come to a slope, slide down but you need to jump right on the edge of the slope, if you drop down you will have to do it all over again. Lighting a flare may help you find the edge of the slope.
Jump and grab the hidden ledge and climb up, once you made the jump continue on through the cave until you come to a larger opening. Look around for goodies and watch for bats, continue down the north passage until you came to an exit in the floor, drop down into a room with some crates. Then drop down into a short passage and use the door.
Here you enter a room with two motor bikes, is there any question where you use the nitrous found on the last level! But first look around the room, see the control room that is secret #2 but we cannot get that yet. So use the nitrous on one of the motor bikes and jump on.
Now take off through the wall past the fire extinguishers and head to the large ramp on the side with the ladder leading up to the elevator, do a nitrous jump over to the southwest corner of the room, making sure you keep to the left of the ramp as you make the jump.
Once on the other side follow the caves past the fire pit and guard up
the slope and get ready for a tricky jump. Note this jump is tricky so you will
get it the first time or it may take a few tries so keep it up.
What the trick is to keep the nitrous on full through the jump and to the platform on the other end of the jump set yourself up for the jump and save your game. Once on the other side dismount your bike and take out the guard, once done follow the passage on the right down to a ladder, take the ladder down into a generator room.
To turn the generator on, head to your right as you enter the room and flip the jump switch on the wall and now the elevator should be powered up. Next is to activate it; walk all the way around the generator to the other side and go through the newly opened door, flip the jump switch. Head back the way you came and out to the upper platform with the motor bike.
Now it is time to acquire secret #2; go to the south edge of the platform and do a safety jump to the blue crates below and head back to the room with the two motor bikes, head through the newly opened door to secret #2 (Large Medical kit, small medical kit, revolver ammo, revolver).
From here there is another secret nearby, so exit the room and move into the large room with the yellow crates, turn to your left, look up and northeast, see the crate on a hook. You need to get up there, so go all the way to the east end of the room were the railing is lower and jump over the railing, go back in the direction of the box on the hook and shoot the three boxes on the ground, this will slide the box into an opening on the wall and expose secret #3(shotgun shells, crossbow ammo, grenade gun ammo).
Now proceed back up the ladder to the upper platform and then to the elevator.
Notice the elevator is now on the bottom or so I thought, when I posted the level I forgot to place a flip map that in turn would plant elevator grate on the bottom allowing you to flip the lever to de-ignite the flames, so do this instead.
Jump down and grab the elevator maintenance ladder, climb to the bottom, let go and grab the edge of the opening and climb up, walk to the edge of the doorway and do a standing jump over the flames.
Walk to the east edge of the platform, see the climbable surface on the drill, do a running jump and grab the drill, once there shimmy to the right and drop down to the top of the drill bit. Pick up the medical kit and watch out for the guard to the east of you, now move to the north edge of the drill bit and on to a transparent walkway, go to the end and face to Lara's right, see the opening in the rock, jump over to it and proceed down through the cave until you come to a lava room.
Turn and face the north wall, do a running jump and grab the climbable surface on the wall, move past the lava to the other side, blow away the bats and jump into the water. Follow the water tunnel until you come to an opening, climb out of the water into the drill power up room. To get in there follow the opening on the south wall of the room, jump up to the left and there should be an opening on the right, jump down and take out the guards.
To power up the drill there should be a jump switch on the wall, pull it and exit the room through the open door.
Now follow the metal ramp all the way out to the top of the large drill room and follow the same steps as before to get to the very bottom of the room back on to the drill bit, once there move to the east side of the drill bit and jump over to the climbable wall and up to the newly opened door.
Follow the corridors to the drill activation room, kill the hound and activate the drill using the lever on the floor to the right of the door. NOTE: The earthquake was supposed to be timed but something went wrong with the editor wad file so I could not edit it after the release so you have to live with the shaking for the rest of the level.
Once the drill is active go back the way you came, take out the dog and watch a camera scene pointing the way to go, climb back down the wall to the water at the bottom of the drill hole and safety jump into the water.
Follow the water tunnel until you come to an opening in the ceiling, take it and come out into the next cavern, take out the bats and move to the entrance of the next room, this is a rather large room with stone walkways spanning to either end of the room, the objective is to get past the fire serpent without getting burned or eaten by flying insects. But first to get through the next level you need the laser sight in secret #4, just under the stone walkways there is a monkey swing, you need to use it to get to secret #4.
So jump down and run to just under the stone walkway near the door you
came in, jump up over the slope so that you are directly under the door, jump
up and monkey swing to secret #4 (Flares, revolver ammo& laser sight). Now
run out and take a climbable surface to the left of the cave entrance and watch
that Lara does not get fried. Once there, do a running jump over the creature
onto another ledge, once there move to the south corner of the room, there is
another climbable wall there, take it to the top, and flip the switch.
From there go back down the wall and do a safety jump to the bottom with creepy, make a run for it to the opening in the floor and head down to the Tomb of Khysos.

Level 7: The Tomb of Khysos
You start the level in a rather dark room with two pillars on the left and right, look to the right and pick up the goodies on the pedestal, from there head west up the stairs and watch a camera scene, and watch out for the bats. Note: if at any time there is no background music, save the game and reload it and you should hear the sound again.
When the camera scene finishes, head back down the stairs and to the right into a newly opened door with two circular knives, do a roll to avoid them and continue on until you come to a room with one large central pillar with stone walkways protruding out on either side.
The objective here is to move the stone walkways around so as to access the doors on either side of the room. To open the first door climb down to the ground level of the room and locate a hole in the west wall of the room, reach in and a door on the opposite side of the room will open, go through the opened door into a water room. Traverse the fire coming out of the walls on either side of the room and come to a climbable surface, climb to the top and flip the lever in the top room, this will swing the stone walkway around to access the next room.
As you leave the room you will notice the newly opened door and the stone walkway was moved to access the door, move around the room with the large central red pillar until you come to some raised stone floor blocks, take them up to the door and move into the next passage, proceed on and watch out for the bats, soon you will come to a drop, turn your back and grab the edge and climb to the bottom, look out for a big flying beetle as you begin your descent.
Drop down onto a raised stone walkway and face the way Lara climbed down, you should see a large wheel in the corner of the room in the direction that Lara is facing, run to it, watching out for blades that come out of the walkway as Lara steps on it. Pull on the wheel 4 times, this will fully open a door on the other end of the platform directly on the other side of the room, once all the way up speed run through the door.
Once in the room you will notice two unlit wall torches on on either side and a hole in the
wall, reach into the hole and grab an unlit hand-held torch and proceed back
the way you came. Now the best way to do this, since you cannot hold the torch
and navigate the large wheel at the same time, is: Stand somewhere toward the
middle of the room so that it lands directly beside the large wheel, go to the
wheel and pull it four times, do a standing jump to the left and pick up the
torch, run through the door.
Now light the torch, using the flames closest to the door you exited, turn and throw the lit torch at the door, the torch should now be in a place were you can pick it up as you run by. Now this is a little harder, go back to the large wheel on the other side of the walkway, pull it four times, run as fast as you can navigating the flames, and picking up the torch as you pass by, now you are ready to light the unlit torches on the wall.
Light the torches and this will open a closed door on the other end of the walkway, the end with the first wheel, and expose secret #1. Just under the fire platform there is a room with a pool of water, a coffin moved sideways to expose secret #1 (grenade gun ammo & small medical kit). Find your way back up to the top and through the newly opened door.
Follow the passage until you come to a drop, climb down the wall into the next room, this room is poorly lit and has two stone coffins on either side, as you enter go forward and watch a brief camera scene and then go to the puzzle piece and pick it up from the pedestal, just as you pick it up some creepers are on their way to eat you so avoid them and head back the way you came all the way to the room with the large red pillar.
Somewhere along the way you will see a brief camera scene of your next objective, just as you enter the room with the pillar turn right around face the door and look up, see the climbable surface? Climb all the way up and shimmy to the right, dropping on the newly moved stone walkway, once there follow the upper walkway to the east wall where there is a door, do a short hop and enter the door.
Follow the corridor you just entered until you come to a room with two pillars, one on the right and one on the left, speed run past the pillars and the two altars beside them all the way to the doorstep of the large door in the very end room. The little beetles will vanish if you make it to the doorstep in time. Once you have dispensed with the little beetles try to lure away creepy from the big wheel so you can open the door in safety. Once done, go through the door and use the puzzle piece for the mapper on the wall, you will see a brief camera scene, once done go to the map and pick up the first of two door pieces.
Head to the northeast corner of the next room, there should be a ledge on either side of the room, take the ledge on the left, proceed through the open door, follow the blue brick passage and listen for something trying to get through the doors as you pass by, continue on until you come to a drop, climb down into a lower room and search the ledges for some goodies and proceed down to the bottom of the room.
Now go to the center of the room and face southeast, see the door in the corner that is secret #2, we will get that later. For now face the north wall, see the unopened door, proceed toward it, at some point you will see a camera scene of a large bull crashing through a door behind you and to the right, the object is to have the bull crash into the three eyes on the three main pillars of the room, remember to first save your game and then proceed.
One the three eyes are smashed two doors will open, you want to take the door on the north wall but first the secret. Now do the same with the door, have the bull crash into the door and claim secret #2 (Oozy ammo, shotgun shells & flares).
Head through the opened door and monkey swing to the other side of the room and pick up the puzzle piece to other door in the bull room, monkey swing back to the bull room and use the golden star on the door. Open the door and jump into the room before the bull gets you. Once in the water follow the water tunnel out and emerge into another dank room with creepers waiting to meet you, look around the room for some goodies but watch the center of the room, the ceiling is ready to collapse on you. Go to the south wall where there is a climbable surface. climb to the top and out.
Now enter the next room and face northeast, looking down there is the final door piece, go to it and pick it up, watch out there are two creeps directly behind you as you pick up the item, so take them out and head up the stairs directly behind you, head up and to the right do a short jump to a ledge on the northwest wall and continue on and to the right until you come to a climbable surface, take it and climb to the top and shimmy to the right, drop down on to a upper walkway.
Now locate the monkey swing on the upper ledge and monkey swing all the way to the other end, do not let go until you are directly in front of the door and the door opens. Take the opened door and now you should be back were you started, use the two puzzle pieces to open the Tomb of Khysos and enter the room.
NOTE: There is supposed to be music on this level, if there is not save the game and then load the appropriate savegame to start the music.
To start, go directly to your right and up the steps, you will notice the energy field protecting Khysos, the objective is to make your way to the top of the structure using the ledges blowing away as many creeps as you can along the way and lighting two torches on three levels, on the way down removing the barrier as you go making Khysos more vulnerable to your fire.
Now continue to navigate the stone ledges, continually moving to your left until you reach the top of the structure, once you reach the top you will notice another hole in the wall on the north side of the room, go to it and grab the other unlit hand torch. On the other side of the room there is a barrel that is burning, that is where you will light the second torch, go over to it and light the torch, now there is a open door directly behind the barrel, light the two unlit torches in the room and watch a brief camera scene as you exit the room.
After the two wall torches are lit you do not want to drop the torch, so try to avoid any and all entanglements as you proceed to the next two torches.
Run past the mummies and in the door on the west wall and slide down the short slope, once in the main room move to the southeast and jump over to the ledge with the two coffins, enter the newly opened door and light the unlit torches, as you exit you will see another brief camera scene. Now head west to the edge of the ledge you are on and walk off and do a roll as you hit the bottom, once there go east until you come to the very end of the walkway, walk off and do another roll as you hit the ground.
Now you are ready to light the final two torches in the southeast corner
of the room.
Go through the door and light the last torches and as you leave you will see Khysos is now free from the energy field, fight him or go directly to the opened trapdoor at the base of the altar where Khysos was suspended.
Enter the trap door and you will eventually come to a slope, turn your back to the slope and slide down backwards, when you reach the bottom grab the edge, let go and grab and pull yourself up to secret #3 (Shotgun ammo, Oozy clips, grenade gun ammo).
Now go for a swim and come out of the water on the other side of the room, watch the camera scene and pick up the last City Scroll to complete the final leg of the journey.
