There seems
to be an invisible block covering the hole in front of you. Shoot the two boxes
for two large medipacks. Get into the crawl
space in the lower north wall. At the end, stand up in a room with lava at the
sides. Climb the column in the middle of the room. Grab the wall above the jump
switch and climb the wall to the top of the next column. Pick up the crowbar and climb back down. Pull down the jump
switch and kill the attacking harpy. Drop to the
floor and jump over the lava to grab the wall ladder on the east wall. Climb up
into a room. Go to the east wall and use the crowbar to pry Black Beetle #1 off the wall. Before you exit, pull
down the jump switch in an alcove to the north of the entrance door. You get a
cut scene of a door open in the starting room.
Go down the ladder and back flip over the lava.
Follow the crawl space in the south wall back to the starting room. Enter the
open south door and follow the tunnel. You find a room with a platform in the
middle of lava. You can pick up a crowbar from
the floor in the north-west corner. Jump to the platform in the lava and pick
up five large medipacks and a Pharos Knot. Kill another attacking harpy. Use the crowbar to pry Black
Beetle #2 from the block on the platform. Jump to the north ledge and
climb the blocks to the top. Pull down the jump switch and get a cut scene of
spikes and skeletons. The door on the ledge in the south-west corner is open.
Just ignore the two
skeletons on the ledges. Jump down to the middle platform and then jump
to the west ledge. Climb the wall ladder and run pass the skeleton and into the water. Swim south and walk onto
a ledge. Continue south and then side down a water slope. You slide into a
large pool. In the north-east channel are two closed doors. Swim to the
north-west channel and into a reddish opening in the north wall. Swim up the
vertical shaft and pull up into a dark room. Go north and pick up five flares. Then go through a west tunnel and into a
small room with closed doors.
Enter and loop around to the right to see a black
tile on the floor. Pull down the jump switch above it and a small door opens in
the south wall. Enter the tunnel to the south and step on the black tile at the
end. Exit and loop around to the left and into the second open small door. Go
south and pick up a large medipack. Go west to
see a ladder with a closed door at the top. Look north for a black tile and a
jump switch. Pull down the jump switch and the small door in the west wall
opens. Kill a harpy and pick up a large medipack that it drops.
Enter the small doorway and follow the tunnel to
the north. Enter a short side tunnel for two flares.
Then continue north and follow the tunnel to a pit. Jump the pit and go into a
north tunnel. Pull down the jump switch at the end and return. Blocks have
risen in the pit. Hop into the west alcove to step on a black tile. Return to
the room with the ladder and the door at the top. Climb the ladder and pull up
into a tunnel. Run down the tunnel and into a room. Hop over a block into the
next tunnel to avoid a skeleton. At a
T-junction, go to the left and follow the tunnel. Run over a spike rap on a
black tile and get secret #1. Pick up two small medipacks and kill a harpy. Return to the T-junction and enter the west
crawl space.
Stand up and pick up two
flares from the floor. Go south and step on a black tile. Roll and see a
small door open to the north. Go there for three
flares and step on another black tile. Exit and go west into another
open small door. Hop onto the block in the south-east corner and pull up into a
small room. Pull down the jump switch on the south wall and get a cut scene of
an underwater door. Climb the ladder on the east wall and pull up into a
tunnel. Just run pass the skeleton and into the
hole at the end of the tunnel. You fall back into the water pool.
Swim to the north-east and down the slope into the
open underwater doors. Swim through the crawl space and turn to the right. Keep
to the south wall and swim up the first opening in the ceiling. There is a
second opening further on but there is a bug there. At the top, swim south and
follow the underwater tunnel to the end. Swim up a vertical shaft and pull up
into an area with a lava pit. Go east and jump to a slope. Slide down the slope
and jump to a ledge. Turn south and slide down slopes to jump to a safe tile.
Climb three short ladders to pull up to a slope. Slide and jump to grab the
edge of a large block. You cannot pull up but the wall of the block is
climbable. Shimmy to the right and to the other side of the large block. Pull
up and back flip to a ledge.
Enter the tunnel in the west wall. Go south up the
ramp and kill a harpy. Follow the ramp up to a
large room with green walls and lion faces. Loop to the left and go to the
south-east corner to pick up the Mechanical Beetle.
Step on all of the spider web floor tiles. One of them opens the small door in
the north-west corner. Go there and follow the tunnel to a large area with a
central structure. Before entering the central structure, go around the area
and pick up eight small medipacks from the tops
of the blocks. Notice the four skeletons
guarding the item in the structure. While I was luring them outside the
structure, one fell into the pit so I only had three of them to outrun. Lure
them out and run into the structure for the Winding
Key. Jump up to grab a ladder and climb safely to the top. Or you can go
back outside the structure and run to the north-west corner. Enter the tunnel and go up the ramp. Follow
the tunnel to the same area as the top of the ladder. A skeleton dropped from the ceiling but it fell down the hole.
Go north and loop around to the right and go pass
the open doorway. Go down a south tunnel and pull down a jump switch. Then go
north through the open door and pull down two jump switches at the north wall.
These switches close the doors in the central structure and may lock the
skeletons inside. Return and go south pass the ladder. Follow the tunnel and
ramp back to the large area. Go to the south-east corner and enter the open
door. Follow the long tunnel to a ledge over a lava pit. Jump the gap to the
central column and use the Pharos Knot in the receptacle on the east wall. The
four doors rise behind you. Step on the tile in the middle of the floor and get
a cut scene of a door somewhere. Climb down the ladder on the north side of the
column. Jump over the lava and go around the room. There is a large medipack in the south-east corner. Jump to a
north opening and pick up a Pharos Knot. Jump
back to climb up to the column again. Avoid the skeleton
and jump to the south-west corner and into a tunnel.
Follow the tunnel and slide down a slope. Go north
and cross a bridge over the lava room that you visited earlier. Just follow the
tunnel and at the end drop into a hole. This is the location of the bad bug.
You are supposed to land in water. But Lara just kept bouncing up and down on
the water's surface. Luckily the author left the fly cheat intact so you fly
off the water to continue the game. Otherwise you would have to just scrap the
game.
Go north and kill two
harpies. Enter the open door in the north wall. Follow the tunnel up the
ramps and emerge onto a ledge over a lava pit. Grab the north wall and shimmy
to the right. When you turn the corner, climb up the ladder to near the
ceiling. You can pull up into a crawl space for secret
#2. There is nothing to find so get back out and shimmy to the right and
into an opening. On the other side, drop onto a ledge over a lava pit. Go to
the north-east corner to pick up the Ornate Handle.
Then go to the north-west corner for the Hathor Effigy.
Climb down a ladder and shimmy to the left and onto the ledge below. Go south
and enter another tunnel. Follow the tunnel and ramps to the end. A small door
opens as you approach it. Climb the wall ladder and emerge back into the
starting room.
Go to the north-west corner and climb the wall
ladder. Pull up into a tunnel. Use a Black Beetle in the receptacle and it
opens. Enter and make the Portal Guardian to use on the stand. You get a cut
scene of a door opening and a hole. Climb back down and go to the south-west
corner. Climb the ladder and pull up into a tunnel. Use a Black Beetle in the
receptacle and it opens. Enter and use the Pharos Knot in the receptacle. You
can hear a door open. Climb back down and enter the open doors in the west
wall.
As you enter the walkway, the camera view changes.
Go west to the throne and kill the demigod. Pick
up the Horseman's Gem that it drops. Pull down
the jump switch to the left of the throne. You can pick up two large medipacks from the south edge. You can pick
up two small medipacks from the north
edge. Return to the entrance and see a
tunnel in the wall to the north-east. Grab the east wall and shimmy over to the
tunnel. Run east down the wide tunnel and kill two
harpies. You emerge from the tunnel into a large outdoor area. I ran
over the two symbols on the nearby slopes just in case they triggered
something. Go to the north-east corner and enter a tunnel. Follow the tunnel
and emerge onto a slope. Run down the slope towards a crawl space and the level
ends.
