There are a few shortcuts where you can avoid a lot of play. Try to ignore them. It is possible to complete the game without using the Skidoo but I suspect the author wanted it to be used throughout the game.

Start in a shelter, climb the block beside you, pull up to a ledge and slide to the bottom. Go straight ahead East to a block. Stand on the block and kill a tiger (1) that attacks. Use the switch behind the block you are on (Looks like a pushbutton but Lara uses the switch action). If you go North to a pit you can see a closed gate with the Skidoo. However, continue East and jump the snow bank to reach another block. Kill the Yeti (2) that can climb the block after you. Use the switch on this block. Go to the top of the blue incline North-West of you and jump the deadly gap. Climb the block there and see the Skidoo. Continue North and see a block over the snow bank. Go to the left ledge and then jump to the block because the ground in that area is deadly. Pull the switch on that block and look right to see the gate for the Skidoo has risen. Before you get the Skidoo, climb the block and jump to the North ledge. Run West until the end and pull up to grab a ledge. Shimmy left and eventually pull up to the Amulet of Horus (1) and secret #1. Drop from there and follow the ramp to the right back to the Skidoo. The ground around the empty pedestals is deadly.

Get on the Skidoo and drive up the ramp around the wall by the secret and the East to a flat road going North. You can get off and take a shortcut to the water area if you want. Continue North with the Skidoo and jump a gap. At the end turn left and left again to see a pit of water on your right. Drive the Skidoo over the far left bank of the pit, avoid falling snowballs and drive over a bridge. Turn left and drive over a Yeti (3) and left again to park the Skidoo in front of a closed gate. Go to the block where the man is warming his hands by a fire. Pull the switch behind the block and side jump to avoid the snowballs. If you end up in a trench with them, just crawl under them to get out. The switch has opened the gate by the Skidoo. If you go inside this Skidoo shed you see more Skidoos and a closed gate. Drive the Skidoo up the ramp to the South. Go to the South end and overlook the water area. Look West and you can see some items on ice columns at the far wall. Drop onto the South ledge and go East. Turn around and drop and grab the ledge. Shimmy to the right and pull up for a Cartouche (2) [called Load] and secret #2. Notice a shark in the water. Shimmy back to the ledge and then get back to the Skidoo.

Jump the gap to the South with the Skidoo and run over a guard (4) that appears. There is a snow covered building to the left and a blue incline ahead. Drive up the incline and jump another gap and park in front of a small building. In the left corner is a closed gate. Ahead is a metal plate. Go to the plate and jump to the ledges on the right. Follow them and jump into an opening for the rose (3) and secret #3. There is a strange problem here in that if I missed secret #2, this was secret #2. If I got secret #2, this did not register. Dive into the water and pull up to the metal plate. Kill the shark (5) since it may be still around.  Dive into the water and swim North-West to the items you saw from the cliff. Jump around the column base and then to the top. You see a cut scene of a closed door and some spike bags. Pick up the Golden Star (4), turn South to jump to another column for a small medipack (5). If you look over the snow you can see some buildings. You can get there now but miss a lot of the level. Dive into the water and go East to a metal island. Jump to an ice island and then to main area to the East. To the right are a deep pit and a building with the Skidoo on the other side.

Dive into the red water and swim left to an underwater tunnel. At the end pick up a Cartouche (6) (secret #4?). Swim back to a platform and climb up and get to the building above. Go back to where you got the rose and continue straight to the bridge with the missing planks. Jump the gaps to the other side and go left. Use the climbing wall to get to the ground level. At the base of the wall is a tunnel for later. At the back there is a movable block. Push it aside and use the switch to open the gate above near the Skidoo. Climb back to the Skidoo and drive it carefully down the ramps. Drive into the tunnel and park the Skidoo near a building. In front of you, push a movable block out of the way of the door. Crawl into the door to avoid the blade. In the corner is the gate and spike bag you saw before. Exit the room and crawl under the structure to your left. Get inside and use a monkey swing to get to the other side of a cavern with a deadly floor. Land on a wooden column and use it to descend to a lower level. Turn and slide and then jump to a platform. Go left and jump to a ledge and drop to a column. From here you can kill a Yeti (6) on the floor. Drop to the floor and go to the back corner to use the Golden Star. Use the small column in the opposite corner and start climbing up. At the last block, grab and shimmy left back to the wooden ladder. Climb the ladder to the top and jump the columns along the wall to return to the spike bag room. The gate is now open.

Before you go in with the Skidoo, go in the gate on foot. Kill two guards (7,8) to your right and pick up a small medipack (7). Run to the to of the incline and kill a guard (9) in the corner and get another small medipack (8). Go back and bring the Skidoo up the incline. Jump a gap and park it by the gate. Go to the left opening to get to the other side of the gate. Kill a Yeti (10) and jump down into the area and be careful of the gun.

Go behind the hut to pull a switch and kill a guard (11). The next block has a switch to pull while the gun shoots at you. The next block has a switch but now you are out of range. Keep going North and turn right to the East. Go behind the last hut at the back to pull another switch.

Jump over the snow banks to the North side and see some partial ramps. That is actually the exit and you can go up there now if you want. However, go to the right and go through an open gate in a snow wall. Kill a tiger (12) and turn right. Climb down a wall and pick up the gate key (9). The gates to the Skidoo shed are now open but these Skidoos do not work. Work your way back to the gate where you left the Skidoo. I climbed the wall and return the way I got here. It seems easier then the pit and spike bag route. Drive the Skidoo back to the ramps. Manually go up the first two ramps. Jump to the third to encourage the snowballs to drop. Get back to the Skidoo and drive upon the ramps. At the top of the third ramp the level ends as the game crashes to the desktop.
