WHAT THESE LEVELS ARE ABOUT
---------------------------
"About 2500 years ago a giant bolt of fire came falling down from the skies above... 
Strange beings emerged from the wreckages. 
Local inhabitants of this desolate mountain region came to worship these beings 
as gods and and built shrines and temples to honor these beings. 
The Denboche cult was born."

"Lara Croft, daughter of Lord Hensingly Croft, was raised to be an aristocrat from birth.
After attending finishing school at the age of 21, Lara's marriage into wealth had
seemed insured, but on her way home from a skiing trip her chartered plane had crashed deep 
in the heart of the Himalayas. The only survivor, Lara learned how to depend on her wits to 
stay alive in hostile conditions a worldaway from her sheltered upbringing. Two 
weeks later when she walked into the village of Tokakeriby her experiences had had a 
profound effect on her..."

This adventure is my interpretation of what happened during those two weeks.

I have also included a new logo and a load screen image. These features are optional.


LARA'S OUTFIT
-------------
Lara is wearing dark red pants, a white sweater with a bright red bodywarmer and 
black boots. 
The outfit is based on the TR Chronicles "Submarine" outfit. I retextured it myself.


TWO SHORT LEVELS
------------------
The levels are pretty short. Due to WAD problems and "maximum number of boxes reached", 
caused by the complexity (large rooms and complex texturing) of the initial level, 
I had to divide it into two parts: Icy Waters and Denboche's Sanctuary.

Two more levels will follow and complete this story.

INSTALLATION
------------
NOTE: Making copies of the original files is recommended!!!!!!                       

* Replace the english.dat, script.dat and the strings.h in the TRLE main directory   
  with the files from this zipfile. 
* Replace the load.bmp in the TRLE main directory with the load.bmp from this zipfile. 
* Move ALL the wad files located in the wads folders to the 
  'LevelEditor\graphics\wads' folder.
* Replace the uklogo.pak in the " Data" folder with the uklogo.pak file from this zipfile.
* Copy the files located in the "Audio" folder into the LevelEditor's Audio folder.
* Use the levelconverter (tom2pc.exe) to convert the himalayan.tom and himalayan2.tom files.
  The levelconverter won't show any output when converting the himalayan.tom file. 
  The converting has finished when you can move the window around your desktop.
  Check the data folder to see whether or not the converter has
  build the tr4-files.

KNOW ISSUES
-----------
- Depending on your graphics card you might experience transparatn textures 
  turning white when viewed from a great distance. (Watertextures and windows textures)
- Even though the horizon-fog-effect works well, you might see some black 
  background areas. This never lasts and it usually occurs when you're not directly 
  looking at something. It doesn't happen often.
- Some doors don't have sound. I still haven't figured out how to assign sound to
  an object. (Suggestions are welcome)

Paint Shop Pro 7         - to edit textures.
STRPIX 39                - to adjust wadtextures, such as Lara's outfit.
WADMerger                - to add and remove objects from the wads and to alter 
                           switch animations.
