History
=======
After producing a bad Tomb Raider movie sequel, Lara Croft get with not money!!,
so for get some, she decided to return to the Palace Midas (do you remember
that level from Tr1?), where she can turn lead into gold.

However...hard luck for Lara!...the Palace midas is already invaded for some
terrorist that stolen the magical midas's hand, so now Lara must have to
escape alive from the Palace Midas...and then go back to London and beg to
Core's people for a job in another Tomb Raider sequel game.

Maybe you are wonder why Tomb Raider II movie was so bad, well, Angelina
Jolie refuse to play the part II, so she was replaced for...Winona Ryder!!,
just for the right lastname???!, what a buch of idiots!!

Install
========
You can play this custom level using the Tr3 demo game, just replace the demo
level called jungle.tr2 for this midas.tr2 level.

You can play also this level using a patched Tomb3.exe game that will play
the levels from hard disk.
The patched way is recomended because you can hear the ambient sound and music
included in this custom level.
Get a patched Tomb3.exe at:  http://thequad.free.fr/mainE.html , then read
the instruction included in the package.

After installig the patched Tomb3.exe and copying the neccesary files from
CD, make a backup for the tombpc.dat and replace it for the tombpc.da_
included in my package. Keep the midas.tr2 level name in your \data folder.

How i did it
==============
The best way to test the tools is making a level, so i made a remake for my
favorite TR level for all the times: "Palace Midas" from TR1 game version.

- I used Return2 1.2 (not released yet) program for extract all
  originals rooms and put them in a tr3 level (jungle.tr2).

- I used TRtexture 2.0 revision 2 (not released yet) for extract the textures
  from original level6.phd and put them in my new midas.tr2 level.

- I used current Remap.exe program for remap the textures Id in the rooms
  to the new imported texture pages.

- I Used Trviewer for import new enemies/objects from others Tr3 levels.

- I used Rview 4.00 for find out the sector numbers where i want to put the
  enemies/objects/triggers.

- I add the enemies/objects/triggers using TRscp 1.9 (not realeased yet).

Also i used another program mine called CDwad.exe for open the Tr3
cdaudio.wad file and hear and find out the music and sounds tracks numbers.

All this work took me ONE WEEK, seriusly, i get a lot fun making this remake,
and i am satisfied how it look.

What i found making this level
===============================

1.- Return2.exe had a important bug, the box data is not imported correctly
    from tr1 to tr2,tr3,tr4 levels, making imposible to add enemies to the
    custom level, so i fixed that bug and i will post the updated return2.exe

2.- I found a bug in the scripting command Put_item for Tr3 levels, the color
    item get incorrect, I fixed that problem and i will post the update.

3.- Seems that enemies can't be put on any place that you want, there is some
    places where the AI work incorrectly, normaly try to put enemies in the
    sames zones used in the original level.

4.- I found a important bug in Trtexture 2.0 R1, the "define..." option
    did not build correctly the texture piece in the table, so i fixed that
    bug and i will post the update.

5.- TRviewer ruined the Sky object when you resave the level, hope Popov
    can resolve this problem.

6.- I turned on the sky attrib in all rooms because sometimes you get gasp in
    the rooms, in Tr1 this is not a problem because gasp look dark, but in tr2
    and tr3 and tr4 levels they look flickering.

7.- I found that in some sectors, CORE's editor use a regular sector trigger
    for adjust the sector high, this make fail the put_item and Put_static
    script instruction, because the object is not placed automaticly at the
    top sector and you must have to addjust manualy the item/static height.

8.- I found that i am not sleeping well lately, each time that i close my
    eyes, all what i see is Lara.

Hope you like this remake, and i expect to see another "return to..." sequel
from somebody else.

Good luck,
